Great guys over there I’m a beginner and went in there looking for an affordable acoustic guitar they really helped me out not knowing to much abt guitars and helped me pick a good one still on the lower end price wise I will definitely be back and they are really nice and funny guys
Good staff, nice atmosphere… enjoyed my conversation with everyone in the store. 🙂
Excellent customer service and knowledgeable staff! Had everything we needed in one place and at affordable prices!
Their music selection was a bit small but they had everything I needed at a very reasonable cost.
Did not have a kazoo
The line was crazy long and they were extremely under staffed.
Always great prices and friendly environment. Nice items all the time
Organized
Really like these Thrift stores. Decent value. Nice staff. The three different stores I go to seem to specialize in different types of items, which I appreciate.
There are multiple locations for this thrift chain. This one has very limited parking, and the lots are tight odd spaces. There are good deals sometimes, but are not always clearly communicated until you’re at the register. It’s weird, but sometimes I get the distinct impression this branch doesn’t want my donations regardless of quality or timing.
I often am not able to find anything here but when I do find something it’s usually some cool vintage piece. Kind of hit or miss for me, but I will say I do love that they take most donations throughout the weekdays
Horrible service. They have 7pm closing time on Google for a Tuesday and they lock the doors before 7pm… Whos managing this place?
Just a bunch of old ladys
This place is a rip off it is supposed to be a thrift store and when I buya bracelet for 30 dollars and could have gotten the same exact bracelet for 5 dollars at a different snowline just down the way.their things are over prices and not worth it. They say prices rise all over but it’s not true it’s just them.

Unfortunately this time we had a bad experience. There was a mistake on our order and so it went inside to have it corrected and one of the gals was very rude and acted as if I was trying to get free sandwiches I was insulted and just please of the McDonald’s workers attitude.
Good for a quick grab and go.
Good service. People were pleasant and fast.
Just went tonight horrible customer service and there was nothing fresh about the food I ordered
Worst chicken sandwich I’ve ever had
Usually in Cameron Park Mcdees any late night order is a 60-40 percent chance the icecream machine has been out. Except past three months it’s been going fine. The hamburger I order has been old meat not over cooked, just old. Havnt finished last two. Ended up tossing. Couldn’t go back. So please check your orders while your able to. The manager may not be aware. I’m going to be thorough next visit if I go back.
The only reason why I go to Safeway it’s closed their products are really high to buy but it’s just right up the street.
It’s Safeway. What can be said?
Its good, helpful staff. Be 5 stars if they have what you’re looking for constantly. Hit n miss in Placerville and Pollock Pines stores.
I discovered this place needs a thorough cleaning! Exploded can of beer in a far back corner random bottle of mustard. So gross!
3 weeks later mold and old can of beer not cleaned up. Has anyone thought about this mold being transferred to your own refrigerator at home?
Went to my local Safeway today to pick up some items for the weekend. Used their app and downloaded some digital coupons only to realize after checking out that, yet again, they did not take off the digital coupons. When I approached one of the workers at the customer service desk she instantly tried to blame me. Once I proved that I did nothing wrong and it was the Safeway app she reluctantly tried to help me. Her idea of helping me was to make me identify all items that should be updated. I’m certain I missed a few items and got ripped off. It’s pathetic how poor their customer service is at this location.
Oh my goodness the self checkout lady is extremely rude! She ruined my morning.

Wonderful staff n even better food and coffee…amazballs…great vibe
Delicious gluten free muffin! I’m so glad I stopped by for a yummy coffee and amazing pumpkin muffins! I will be back!! They have tons of gluten free options and they are very reasonably priced! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Good place to chill and relax and enjoy coffee .
Friendly, fast, yummy
Gluten free carrot cake, one of their more popular items. Gluten free muffins are actually tasty. Try the Chili Verde burrito, or rice bowl. I had the Chili Verde Burrito. Good balance of flavors.
I am really disappointed because I ordered two bagels for my kids, I only came to pick them up and drop them off at home for my kids to eat and left, and I didn’t notice that the bagels were burnt, and when I came back home I noticed that my kids didn’t eat the bagels, and they told me that they didn’t eat them because they were burnt, you should never give nobody something like that.
Got an okay iced coffee and a very burnt bagel sandwich with dry eggs and crispy bacon. 🙁
Worst smoothies ever. Came in for a normal r.b. sandwich couple smoothies and bagels for the kids both bagels were burnt black smoothies had zero sweetness I actually tried to add sugar packets hoping it would help since I paid 6$ a piece and the sandwich was a rock hard panini which two of the workers called a weird sandwich. Paid 37$ tipped 15$ before I got order and it took 40 minutes to get food 35 min to get drinks. Will not be back they were very busy but to burn bagels for kids and insult a sandwich twice where customer hears then not a word when you deliver to table no sorry for the wait no do you need anything just unprofessional. I’ll take my “weird sandwich” business elsewhere
15. The Nicholson Music Co.
Address: 636 E Bidwell St, Folsom, CA 95630 , Cameron Park , California , United States
So many people complaining about the lack of service or complain about not being able to get a guitar down themselves. THERE ARE SIGNS EVERYWHERE SAYING TO ASK FOR HELP!!!! (Yes I have not read them too and been “scolded” if you will but in a very professional and helpful manner…now I know the rules!!!)
1) They are NOT a giant music super store and they don’t let you just grab guitars off the wall. So be prepared to ask someone for help. If just one of those were damaged or broken it would cost them a lot of money and being small they don’t have the margins to make up for a loss easily.
I have been in many times… I have purchased several instruments over a decade (4 guitars and a Uke) from them and they have always been great. They don’t really know me and I’m sure don’t really remember me with all their customers. Last time I came in and I was not really wearing nice close… mostly yard work cloths that were not very dirty. The older gentleman still helped me and didn’t even bat an eye when I asked to play an expensive guitar…
Sometimes they are busy, remember they are a SMALL local shop with only a few employees…. so I have had to wait a bit to get someone to help get a guitar down.
2) Service and Repair are phenomenal!
Every guitar I have purchased has had to wait in the shop for a day after purchase. They tune the guitar and put a new set of strings on it. They tune it to exactly how I like to play with the set of strings I choose. A few times they have even thrown in the strings for free (on more expensive guitars!)
I even brought in an old Takamine that I had neglectfully left in the garage for a few weeks. Nick came right out made some adjustments and instead of having me pay him $100 to “look it over and fix it” he basically made the adjustments on the spot that he could and suggested I leave it as is… since it was not worth fixing completely at that point. HONEST!!!!! and he was super helpful.
I have seen them, every time I am in there, take an instrument and try their best to help the customer fix it on the spot without charging them. I have even seen people leave their instruments there and when they find out that there was nothing that could be done they don’t even charge them for the 30 minutes it took to take apart and put the instrument back together…
RULES TO KNOW WHEN GOING INTO NICHOLSON’S
1) Don’t touch anything without asking first. The “old guy” with the accent is not being mean just because he doesn’t smile at you when you ignore the hundreds of signs telling you to NOT TOUCH WITHOUT ASKING!.
2) They are small… and busy… don’t expect to run in and out.
3) Expect the best for what you pay. This means even if you buy a $600 guitar (yes I have bought a few), Expect that they will want to make that instrument play as best as it can for your style and expertise level. They have always tuned and modified mine to make them play awesome.
4) Don’t be a baby and cry when no one runs up to help you in 30 seconds. When was the last time you got any help at a big box store… and even if you did there is no way they had even 1/10th the knowledge these guys do.
In conclusion.. I am just a regular guy who has to drive 30 minutes to get to their store. I have purchased from big box stores, online and from Nic’s…. I prefer Nic’s because they care about their customers and want every instrument to leave being the best it can be.
I don’t really know anyone at the store besides seeing them a few dozen times over the years. They surely don’t know me… and they treat me the same great way every time…
The guys who work there are always very knowledgeable and helpful with any music question that I have. I would totally recommend them for any type of guitar workshop, guitar lessons, or just buying an instrument in general
Great store. I took guitar lessons here from Eddie from middle school all through high school when I was growing up.
I haven’t been to this shop in years. Came in recently to look for a specific book. The staff was friendly. The layout of the place is a bit awkward. There is a back section with sheet music but it’s not very apparent at first. Ask anyone at the desk if you need to find it. The sheet music selection is very small.
They had a good collection of guitars, bases, and other stringed instruments. I didn’t see much in the way of brass or woodwinds. Its in a small shopping complex and parking was okay.
I enjoyed the experience of coffee, paired sometimes with comedy, awesome musicians to so so ones on open mike days. Fun place with friendly staff.
Wish the coffee was better than just good, or maybe I’m just spoilt. Haha.
Decent service and friendly staff
Very snooty to non music experts
It is unfortunate that I was not able to receive the great customer service others described on this store. I went in to ask questions and buy a guitar for my son. I waited 15 minutes to be helped. There were three people working as far as I could tell, and no one came to help or even said they would be right with me. After that length of time I felt uncomfortable and left. I’m not one to stand right at the counter and demand attention. I walked around and looked at each guitar displayed, but didn’t really know what to look for. It is a small store so I should have been noticed. Yes, they were busy and helping others but there were only three other customers in the shop. I will be buying my guitar somewhere else.
I used to have my guitars worked on here; but I wouldn’t let them touch them now. Their luthiers literally talked me out of doing business with them ever again. They have a nice stock of instruments, so in that respect they are OK.
16. Bel Air
Address: 3510 Palmer Dr, Cameron Park, CA 95682 , Cameron Park , California , United States
My sister loves this place. I take her shopping there
Helpful staff and good service. Sometimes the coffee stands is a little slow though. It’s a suburban supermarket with everything that goes along with that.
Very nice and courteous
High quality produce, great meat deli and bakery service. Large selection of grocery items and fair prices
Hard to find a place to park here
Nice clean store, friendly staff. Decent prices, not as cheap as Walmart but decent.
I have shopped at Bel Air markets for over 20 years of which it has been a good experience up until now when I moved to the Cameron Park area. The Cameron Park Bel Air is by far the the least friendliest of any grocery store I have ever shopped at.
Poor
No dogs period. I work in Sacramento and stopped to get something for dinner. And they asked me not to bring my dog in the store. And she is a service dog. So they would rather have her in the hot car. Boycotting bel air/raleys.
17. AutoZone Auto Parts
Address: 3480 Palmer Dr, Cameron Park, CA 95682 , Cameron Park , California , United States
It was small. I was turned away. They would not service my car. So I went some where else.
Helpful counter guy
Parts in stock
Will be back
Courteous and friendly staff! Help me to install the battery for my Honda CRV! Thank you!
Sold me the wrong air filter. Have to go back.
They were rude, unfriendly, and only one of the 3 was wearing the mask properly everyone else was wearing it on their neck. I was able to get the part for $40 cheaper online. I will not be back. I visited on Friday April 2nd 2021.
Idiots
18. AAA Piano
Address: 5011 Golden Foothill Pkwy Ste 3, El Dorado Hills, CA 95762 , Cameron Park , California , United States
Steve was meticulous, thorough, careful, and moved our Chickering Piano from Galt to Rancho Murieta without a single issue. I hope I never have to move this piano again but if I do, Steve will be hired again in a second!
Very satisfied customer. I wanted to purchase a piano for a birthday gift and they put me on their schedule asap. The piano was delivered on time and with professional care. Very pleased!
We have multiple pianos in our music studio in Folsom and had moved locations 3 times within a few years. AAA Piano takes care of all our piano moving, piano tuning and piano repair, and they do a fantastic job. Steve Stokes is always quick to respond, and the whole AAA Piano team is always on-time and courteous.
Recently, we took a tour of their facility in El Dorado Hills and checked out their piano storage & recital hall with instructional studios, and we were impressed with the selection of pianos in their piano showroom where they sell new and used pianos, as well as consign pianos. It’s very clean and inviting. They do anything piano related and they do it well.
We would highly recommend AAA Piano to anyone!
Worst customer service ever. I would not call this guy for help if he was the last man on earth. Spend the time to get past this listing and find someone with kindness.
I used AAA Piano to move a piano. When they quoted the job I said 3 steps up and 1 step down. It turns out it really was 6 steps up and 1 step down. For the extra 3 steps they gouged me an additional $25. Their argument was that they had to pull out a 6 foot ramp from their truck instead of a just 3 foot ramp. It could not have taken 2 minutes more time, yet they had me over the barrel. To put this into perspective, this was a 40 mile round trip piano move that would take about 1.5 hours, and Steve Stokes added 9% to the price on the spot because the number of steps was 6 instead of my estimate of 3. This simply was not honest and fair, so I will never use them again for any reason
Owner Steve is not trust worthy person. He quoted verbally different than writing when about to charge the fee. Bigger problem is that he delivered my piano with different condition than he picked up my piano – couple keys are not working any more now, but he doesn’t want to be responsible for fixing. He took $1300 for delivery and storage and mess up my piano and don’t want to have responsible, so future potential customer please watch out. I would like to give zero star for my rating, but the lowest one is one star, so I chose one star.
19. Learn Piano Live & Milestones Music: Piano and Guitar Lessons
Address: 2212 Muratura Way, El Dorado Hills, CA 95762 , Cameron Park , California , United States
Jamin has given lessons to all four of my boys. He is so good with kids and makes learning FUN! He taught my six year old’s first ever lesson and left him wanting another, teaches two of them beginning guitar, and challenges my more advanced eleven year old pianist to push himself while still enjoying the process. He has grown so much with Jamin as his teacher. He has patience and enthusiasm that makes them feel seen and makes them forget they’re learning because it’s so fun!
Jamin is an excellent music teacher! He has such a wealth of knowledge and is clearly passionate about teaching. I would give him 100 stars if I could!
If you are looking for a dynamic music education experience that fosters creativty and fun, then this is the place!
Jamin has been working with our son on a variety of instruments for 4 1/2 years(he started when he was 7 years old)! He has always supported our son’s musical journey with amazing encouragement and engagement that has helped him become incredibly knowledgeable about not just how to play a song, but so much more! The excitement that our son has about music is because of his fantastic music teacher, Jamin Coller!
