Had a basic turkey sandwich from this little place… Must say it was the best for some reason… Maybe its the lady’s who was running that day!! Either way another nice place if you find yourself out this way in Arkansas.
Friendly people and great food. Biscuits and gravy are very good
The ladies that work here are absolutely fabulous. You feel like family to them when u walk in here
Quick stop. Fast
Old Timers congregate here in the morning to swap lies and drink coffee. Perfect country store.
It’s so good
2. The Musician’s Exchange
Address: 2221 Alma Hwy, Van Buren, AR 72956 , Cedarville , Arkansas , United States
Great place to pick up some equipment and a great convo….love bill and staff , cheap prices too
Great place. Nice people. Recommend buying from them
This is one of only a handful of places in the River Valley you can buy instruments and accessories from. It’s a place I can drop in quickly for new strings or sticks. They offer some set-up/repair services from entry to intermediate difficulty. Keep to the kids close (or at the house), as various instruments and/or parts are laying around in some areas of the sales floor, making for somewhat treacherous terrain and unclear pricing. Staff are generally friendly and helpful, though you may have to approach them directly for help. I prefer this myself. Glad they’re here.
Interesting selection of mostly used gear. Friendly folks!
Had a hard time trying any of the basses or bass amps….nothing was even plugged in…..had to run extension cords all over the place . Then the basses and amps were so crowded could not move to even try the gear out. Didn’t feel like rerunning power to the whole department to try any other amps out. Shame would have tried more gear out….but just wasn’t expecting to hook it all up myself. Sorry guys you lost a sale….take ten minutes plug In couple bass amps everyday instead of sitting out smoking…..dude you know who you are….you shut the door on my wife as you went back in after your cig break….seriously….Shame store has potential
Hate it I could not find a clarinet ,:(
Bought a brand new acoustic guitar here after years of using this store for my musical needs. The guitar wasnt staying in tune and i noticed the intonation was a little off as well. I took it back 4 days later and they offered me 100 bucks for it. It was brand new and i spend 400 on it and bought a 150 dollar case as well. Thats not the way you treat repeat customers. I will never be returning to this store again.
Dropped a guitar off for the owner to look at. He told me over the phone he’d give $150 for it and only a few hours later when I came in to get the money he prints me a ticket off and hands me $100. I reminded him that wasn’t what we agreed on and all he said was “that’s all I can do unless you want me to undo the transaction”. Not good business in my opinion. He lost a customer over 50 bucks. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
And now he’s calling me a liar. This isn’t some story I made up when I was bored, it actually happened. Remember the guitar was dropped off so it could be appraised. I don’t enjoy writing bad reviews but this one was earned.
3. Saied Music Co
Address: 4300 Rogers Ave #55, Fort Smith, AR 72903 , Cedarville , Arkansas , United States
Great place for a drummer looking for sticks and heads! Good variety at a price that unbeatable. Great workers and a cool atmosphere
I’m a band director in the area and I’ve been doing business with Saied for over ten years. Debbie always takes GREAT care of me in the store and Brian, our road representative, is friendly and efficient. We buy almost all of our supplies for our program through Saied and they always make sure we get what we need. Thanks, guys!
Super sweet and extremely helpful!
It’s good quality music and instrument accessories but their a little costly
They are very friendly and have good service. I believe they are high on their prices.
I bought a keyboard DGX-640 from this store which is cost $920. Then I realized the keyboard was not brand new and there was no box at all. Later, I did a research online, (Ebay, Amazon..etc.) and found that the original price was only $599 including everything. Most of the keyboards they are selling are not brand new at all. Be ware!
I showed them the kind of guitar strings I needed specifically not knowing entirely the name because they’re the experts right? I said I needed bullet strings for two fender guitars… they sold me a pack of “strings with the ball on the end” and when I opened the package they weren’t what I needed. A musical instrument store where the workers don’t know anything about musical instruments. Don’t waste your time or money or money, you’ll just be gaslit.
4. Cousins Music
Address: 1604 Rogers Ave, Fort Smith, AR 72901 , Cedarville , Arkansas , United States
I’ve had Beau work on several guitars and have had great results every time. I recently bought a used Stratocaster online with some high frets and issues with the nut. Beau did a fret level/setup and it now plays great. Definitely worth the drive from NW Arkansas down to Fort Smith.
Awesome guy and awesome service! Took him a broken pedal and had me out of there in a couple minutes with my pedal fixed.
I’ve been using Beau Cousins for my guitar repairs for several years now and I was super excited when I heard he opened up his own shop. Beau is the best guitar tech that I’ve ever done business with. He is fast, friendly, affordable, and does top quality work. I could not recommend him enough. The shop has all you need for guitar repairs and also has really cool vibes. Stop by some time and say hi.
I’m looking forward to using Cousins music for many more years. Thanks Beau!
Good repair work
5. Joyful Noise Guitar Central
Address: 116 E Main St Suite 2, Clarksville, AR 72830 , Cedarville , Arkansas , United States
Beautiful instruments at affordable prices. Dolan’s the man to speak to if you are at all interested in pursuing music, or looking for quality in your instruments. Thanks Dolan for the excellent customer service.
Super nice guy!
Dolan is a great guy and his store Joyful Noise is the best around.
Quick story, I recently went to a small guitar shop in fort smith and was treated completely the opposite. The owner was 1 guy who works on guitars, sells used junk at high prices with an attitude to boot and he was the worst, rudest and nasty music store owner one could ever meet. I wont give his name but he could take a tip or a few million from Dolan, cus he cares for his customers!
Thanks again Dolan I definitely will be back for sure.
Was not open
6. Guitar Center
Address: 160 E Joyce Blvd, Fayetteville, AR 72703 , Cedarville , Arkansas , United States
Wonderful staff that is very helpful. Good selection.
Buea killed the setup on two of my guitars. Highly recommend his services. SEGA!
Husband loves this place
Staff seemed knowledgeable also had plenty of merchandise for all your musical needs.
Good selection.
The one in little rock is not as good as the one’s in Texas.
Very small selection of bass guitars and no one seemed interested in helping us out. Once we did find something we liked, they didn’t have in stock and advised us to order it online.
The staff in Fayetteville is helpful. However the prices are inflated and the selection is repetitious. How about a true baritone guitar, or a Mandola, octave mandolin, auto Harp et cetera instead of crappy electric guitars and basses that rattle?
Staff could be nicer and more attentive
7. Studio B
Address: 105 S College St, Huntsville, AR 72740 , Cedarville , Arkansas , United States
Amazing and quick work. Friendly staff. Been using DSD 5 year for service and repairs. Thanks for being there for us in a crunch.
This place is great. Fixed my daughter’s band instrument quickly. Cost was acceptable. He does a great job
Owner does excellent work and finishes it as promised. I have had my kid’s horn cleaned and repaired there for 3yrs. Excellent work. Reasonably priced. Owner cleans and repairs instruments for public schools system, too.
I was going to give this company a try. Told him several times I was going to be there by 3:30 on Friday. Good luck with getting your instruments back.
10. Valley Piano Co
Address: 3515 W Main St, Russellville, AR 72801 , Cedarville , Arkansas , United States
Very nice gentleman helped me get some guitar picks for my husband.
Great place
Great store, very helpful!
Great people, a very old store
I went into to buy a guitar. Very small selection
Lots of sheet music and DVDs but it is all on the computer today. Wonderful people. I wish them well!
My visit was to test the integrity of an electric guitar I had. Spoke to the guy behind the counter. (The one with the gray streaked goatee). Told him I was preparing to sell it via Facebook, and all I want to do is see if it sounds as it should. He said it was ok I was like great thanks. The buyer was from outta town and was shopping for guitar supplies. She had just bought amp still needed a cord possibly more. Asked her to meet up there since she was just down the road. She wanted to go in do to the rain. Instantly he started ranting that he’s a business man a professional and I was shady for what I had done. I was very polite. My reply ( I’m sorry I brought you a customer sure she meet up with me to buy a guitar for cheap but she still may need something) she was there for his childish act. ( she replied I do need a cord) He didn’t even bother to respond to her. He looks at me says someone smells bad like cigarettes… Wow 0 stars for your sir. Where’s your public relations at. Your welcome for that sell.
11. Guido’s Hot Springs Music
Address: National Park, 812 Higdon Ferry Rd, Hot Springs, AR 71913 , Cedarville , Arkansas , United States
Great experience. This is where you go to find that instrument of character and tone that’s eluded you for years. The owner is extremely knowledgeable on his product history and if he does not have it, he will keep an extra set of eyes out in the market hunting it down alongside you. I love my 2006 Fender Stratocaster Deluxe and loved the experience of doing business with such an industry professional. You would never get this level of kind and professional service from Guitar Center or Sweetwater. Thanks for everything…..and I’ll be back for sure!
Great selection, professional repair, local family business, working musicians behind the counter. Highly recommended.
Great service and reasonable prices.
This is easily the worst guitar shop I have ever been in. His prices are outrageous for the cheap faulty equipment he sells. The 15$ guitar amp cord I bought from him recently broke within a week. WITHIN A WEEK , for 15$ I could have gotten quality cord. He treats customers as poorly as he let’s his shop look. If you want to buy shoddy guitars , faulty equipment, and be treated like garbage that has sat on the curb for a month then go ahead and buy from this crook. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING HERE , if you need a guitar for someone who’s never played and you don’t what you need look elsewhere . Buyer be warned.
I have lived in Hot Springs for a year and a half now and I pass this this guitar shop almost every day on my way home. As a guitar player and music enthusiast I have been interested in visiting this store but never found time to do so. I finally was able to go inside the music store recently and I have NEVER in my life been treated so poorly. I went with a friend of mine in early January. I was browsing the guitars, and even picked one up and stood at the register waiting to ask about a price on the guitar, since there was no price tag. The clerk was too busy talking to his buddy to even acknowledge my presence. After several minutes I returned the guitar to the shelf. Finally the clerk was done talking and I inquired about two guitars. I received very short answers that seemed ridiculous amount-wise. I honestly believe the prices I was quoted were made up on the spot. My friend had found a guitar strap that he thought I would like and brought it over to show me, then he returned it to the shelf after I told him that I rarely use a guitar strap. I continued browsing, and when I rounded the corner and came close to the register, the clerk said to me “what did you do with that guitar strap?” I replied that I had never touched a guitar strap. It doesn’t take a genius to realize this man was accusing me of shoplifting. A few minutes later the same clerk approached my friend and me and very rudely told us to leave the %&#@ing store and not to ever come back. He said we were suspicious because we hadn’t been to the store before and that we were wearing coats! May I remind you, it was JANUARY! Yes, we had never been to the store because my friend was from out of town and this was my first time to visit the store. I’m not going to lie and claim to be rich, but I enjoy buying new guitars and other instruments. I tried to talk to the clerk as an adult, even though his demeanor was that of someone on steroids trying to pick a fight. I guess this store doesn’t want new customers, and heaven help us if its cold outside and you’re wearing a jacket. I feel very disappointed at the customer relations of this store. My friend and I were potential customers and were treated as shoplifters simply because we were new and had jackets on. This is absolutely absurd and I can’t for the life of me understand why this guy attacked us. I have never had an experience this insane at a music store, and I’ve been to many guitar shops all over the country. If this clerk was not the owner of the store, then the actual owner should relieve him of his job because he is hurting the stores income by bullying customers for wearing a jacket in January. I can’t believe I was treated this way. There aren’t words to express how badly we were treated and how upset I am about this experience. I will make it a point to tell everyone I know and meet about the way they run their business there and recommend that they find a different store, one that treats its customers with dignity and respect. By the way, this store didn’t have a very good selection of anything and ridiculous prices, I have no idea how they are still in business. If they treat all new customers this way their future is bleak. Thanks, Hot Springs music–Guido especially, for being the rudest, most disrespectful, and worst customer service store ever! You’d get 1/4 of a star if I could mark it that way. You should be ashamed of yourself for acting like a child. Disgusting.
Never had a good experience here. Claimed I accused him of “stealing my friends guitar a few years ago”. I was 16 at the time he accused me of this. “a few years ago” I would’ve been in middle school. Because of this, he refused to buy a piece of used equipment from me. Truth be told, I just don’t think he had they money to buy it and made up a story to get me out of his shop. He asked me to never come back, and I certainly never did. I was also testing out a Line 6 amplifier and he would continuously come over to the amp and turn off the distortion. I was playing it at a very reasonable level, but he apparently doesn’t like metal, so he would just turn off the distortion and walk away. What the heck? I bought the amp – but I bought it from another shop. Take your business to Big Event Music. Its a much better shop.
