I’ve had great experiences the two times I’ve visited this store. The most recent time I visited I got my banjo restrung and tuned which was done very well.
Went in looking for an amp and the staff were super cool and knowledgeable in helping me make the right choice. Will definitely be considering them for lessons in the future.
Easy rental and return for a school instrument.
Okay, nothing personal here, it simply doesn’t offer enough to receive four or five stars. Are there a few digital pianos, audio interfaces, & an assortment of guitars, amolkfiera, & percussion instruments? Yes, suitable selection. Best to visit if you’re renting instrument or beginning a specific musical journey early on.
Nice place check it out
i guess its okay if you want a 99$ beginner acoustic or an overpriced pair of drum sticks…
Music & Arts on Lone Tree is far superior to this location. Thought I’d try this store since it’s a little closer to my home. The employee I dealt with today treated me like a total inconvenience. Going back to Lone Tree.
Today I called the sister store guitar center looking for Hal Leonard’s key stickers for all keyboards. They stated they did not have it but that Music & arts center would. I called your location in Englewood asking for that specific product. I spoke to Garret on the phone; he stated they had the exact product I was looking for. I drove 35 minutes to pick up said product. When I arrived no one greeted me instead a man stood in a corner looking at products (leading me to believe he was a customer) and a random voice coming from underneath the counter by the registers but no person standing there. I proceeded to look around from my product which was no where to be seen. Finally I approached the man seeing if he knew who could help me. Turns out it was Garret himself, at which point he pulled out the exact opposite product I drove 35 mins looking for telling me that is all they had. Turns out the voice behind the counter was an employee talking about fighting someone on her personal phone during work hours instead of helping me.
The customer service at this location is awful. If he would have paid attention to me on the phone I could have drove 2 mins to get the same thing he had me drive 35 mins for.
Also if the other employee wasn’t bringing her personal problems and dealing with them on company time I wouldn’t have had to walk around the store looking for a product I didn’t even need.
Run don’t walk from this business! Worst experience I have ever had. The company policy of auto billing for lesson and auto scheduling is broken and just wrong! I would call each week and ask that they cancel my lesson and remove me from the auto scheduling only to be on the next weeks schedule. Also asked the manager to no bill my card for another month of lessons only to be billed and then I find out the manager has left. What a terrible experience and I will never do business with this company again. I wish I had checked with the bbb web site before doing business with this company. Terrible reviews and right as rain!
Very knowledgeable company, fast shipping, guarantee there tubes and will help you decide on a tube you are looking for. NOS or new
Purchased Telefunken NOS Ax tubes. It was a excellent experience. I was looking at another tube but after telling them my situation they recommended these and I am so glad I listened. They gave me an excellent price. They know what they are doing. I definitely will be using them again. 6 stars
I’ve had great experiences buying vintage tubes from Fuzz Audio!
No response from their customer support for various questions. Website boasts shipping product within 24 hours, but I still have an order unfulfilled after 5 days. They charged me and took payment within a day, though. This company or website may be a scam. There is no phone number or address listed, and all contact is via text or email.
Update: they answered email inquiry regarding order and upgraded one of the tubes to make up for the delay & lack of response. Which was a nice gesture. (All prior questions remain unanswered – which was about product I was intending to buy, and now most likely won’t buy from them)
Within the same day I had a fraudulent charge made on my credit card for a large amount at Amazon – which I have not ordered from for over 3 months.
Security on Fuzz Audio’s website may be compromised, or perhaps one of their employees isn’t trustworthy. I would be wary of ordering from this company.
I messaged Fuzz Audio before placing the order as I was particular about the condition of the tubes. I wanted to have legitimate new old stock condition tubes. I wanted to spend the extra money to get clean working tubes and not have the hassle of trying to piece together all of them individually for my Deluxe Reverb. The order initially took over a week to ship out and then when the tubes arrived they were in less than “NOS” condition and the 12AT7s RCA blackplates I had requested were substituted with RCA 6201s. Not a big deal but it would have been nice to have let me know beforehand. Besides this the tubes all looked used, I got that they are old but these had noticeable wear on the glass and pins. Their were issues with microphonics, logos worn and no original boxes. Were these tubes even tested? It was a big let down. I messaged Fuzz Audio Support and after a week or so they said I could send back the tubes I didn’t want and get a replacement. I sent back a microphonic RCA 12AX7 and worn out RCA 6V6. He sent me a message and let me pick out which replacement I wanted. Which was great but then the wrong tube arrived and after he messaged me saying the one I picked had been sold. He then let me know he would message me again when he got more tubes in but then never replied to my response so I decided to just leave it alone. Now I’ve been having issues with my reverb and tremolo so I took it to a shop to be looked at and what would you know I’ve got two tubes testing low. I’m not hard on my amps and this one’s been used rarely the past 6 months. Luckily the tubes should still be covered under warranty. So I sent an email to Fuzz Audio Support letting them know the issues and no response. I re-sent the email again a week later and still nothing.
Bottom line: There is a big difference between “Tests” NOS and NOS tubes and I’m extremely doubtful these tubes are truly NOS. I’ve had multiple fail in less than 6 months, issues with microphonics, terrible customer service and attention to detail, and impressively slow shipping. Save your money and look elsewhere.
It’s been 5 business days and many order hasn’t shipped

Buying the right digital piano in the middle of a pandemic presented its own unique challenges to say the least.. I always felt welcome every time I came in to try the different instruments throughout my buying process. The staff and Betsy in particular went above and beyond to help me really find the best instrument for my needs, wants and price range while still considering my playing style. I am incredibly thankful for all the help, support and advice I received on what ultimately took a couple of months from start to finish but the end result was amazing and totally worth it! If you’re currently in the market for a new instrument, do not hesitate to stop by and see what this store has to offer you.
Phenomenal piano store, and a pleasure to visit and meet Betsy, Barry and the entire team. My baby grand piano from Schmitt music (previously Wells when my family bought it almost 20 years ago) is playing as beautiful today as ever before. On top of all that, they host incredible FREE concerts monthly and many events feature Steinway artists! It doesn’t get any better! So thrilled Schmitt Music is here in my community.
Tonya was very helpful, knowledgeable, and patient in helping us choose a piano. They had a good selection of upright and grand pianos.
We visit Schemit to find a piano my daughter and Betsy was there helping us. She spend quite some time with us and showed the stocks of pianos around our budget. My daughter tried many pianos there and we did have ideas of what we want. Unfortunately, a buyer was ahead of us. It was a good experience with the store, though.
I’ve Only been a phone customer but it’s been a month & Schmitt Music keeps Me informed of every event or options offered through their Co.! I’m anxious 2 make it into their store as I’m Positive I’ll Be treated Wonderfully!
Haven’t been in there but play the violation when young great I love music

5. Flipside Music
Address: 2231 S Platte River Dr, Denver, CO 80223 , Cherry Hills Village , Colorado , United States
Ike and the boys are fantastic! They are always insanely friendly and warm. I bought a guitar special ordered from them, and Nick set it up for me without question immediately. I am very thankful to them. They are my favorite
Music store in denver!
As a new guitar player, it can be intimidating going to a music gear shop. Not Flipside! I’ve been in several times and the guys there are always friendly and cool. They let me know on my first visit that I was welcome to bring in any of my own instruments or gear so I can check out how they sound with possible purchases. Once I found a guitar I liked at another store (which they complimented me on and chatted with me about), they helped me pick out a killer Orange practice amp and I never felt pressured. I haven’t bought any pedals yet, but when I am ready – you better believe Flipside is where I will be going. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the market for any gear.
Best service in this category
This store is one of Denver’s hidden gems! I walked in looking for a bass pre-amp… These guys blew me away with their knowledge and friendlyness. They definitely know their stuff. I’d recommend flip side to any bassist or guitarist for any needs except repairs( I don’t know if they do repairs, I didn’t ask, as I already have a guy for that…).
Very knowledgeable staff and unique instruments
Overly expensive and also lots of homeless people hanging outside on the street near by. It’s a dump.
Where has this been all my life?! I can’t sing without one now! Mic Trainer helps me get a consistent and clear sound. Thank you!!
I run a rehearsal space in Denver and the Mic Trainer has been a great addition to the PA. It’s especially good for those who are new to singing into a microphone. Plus it keeps singers from blasting straight into my mics and blowing out my board with a too hot signal. Check these out! Great for any rehearsals or bands.

Great place for acoustic guitars. Quiet enough to hear yourself think, and a large enough selection to find what you need. Angus was the perfect service person – took the guitars off the display wall for me and answered my questions thoroughly with excellent product knowledge and no nonsense. This is my second purchase here over the last few years – consider me a happy customer.
Staff was friendly and helpful, with a great variety of sheet music and stringed instruments. Although they don’t have as expansive collection of woodwind instruments as they do strings, I will definitely be a repeat customer.
Best acoustic instrument shop in Colorado, bar none.
The shop itself, and especially Angus are fantastic. The luthier however, is not. I asked for one repair on my banjo, which they performed, but they also performed other destructive modifications without asking me. I only discovered the changes and damage when I examined the instrument on pickup. Thankfully it was “only” a $900 instrument. If this had happened to one of my more expensive pieces, I don’t know what I would have done.
This is a Great place for musical needs, instruments(Guitars,Ukeleles, Banjos) as well as Harmonicas are just some of the instruments that you will find. They offer services such as instrument repair, and lessons as well! Variety of books included.
This Music Store has been opened since 1962! Definitely one of Denver’s Gems! Lots of history about this place! Swallow Hill was located right across the street! (Back In The Day! The 60’s, 70’s and I believe the 80’s as well!)
With restaurants and breweries surrounding it’s location it makes for a wonderful attraction to visit!
Check it out!
Even with restrictions, the guys inside were super friendly and helpful (they even gave us some stickers for my boys’ guitar cases). If we lived closer (like, within the same time zone) we’d probably have bought something!
I miss Harry. He was polite to his customers.
ZERO STARS if it was allowed
I called in advance before I drove down from Loveland to make sure it was ok to try some guitars. I had a specific Martin in mind that was in their inventory and had money in hand ready to buy. Ian was very helpful and set me up to play the guitar for about 30 minutes.
When I asked to look at another guitar, Ian obliged, but a surly older man emerged from the back room to scold me and tell me If I wasn’t prepared to spend “real” money on a guitar he’d rather not let me touch any. I understand covid considerations, which is why I called in advance before driving 60 MILES to make sure I could play. Mind you, there was not another customer in that building for the short time I spent.
Poor Ian looked stunned, and I politely left, completely embarrassed.
You’ve heard of snobbery in music stores?? Well his was worse than any Guitar Center will ever dish out. I will never do business or recommend this place to any one because of one of the worst retail experiences I’ve ever had.
I have successfully purchased that same guitar as of last week.
I’m musician on tour, passing through Denver, and I invited two of my bandmates to go to this shop with me. All three of us are professional musicians who live in the world of music 24/7 and are always in the market for instruments. After trying 3 guitars, one of them a resonator which I seriously considered buying, and 2 banjos, one of the employees came over and gave me a seriously dark look and told us not to “make a day of it.” I’ve never been as insulted in a store of any kind, much less a music store where trying out instruments is crucial. Maybe they have other priorities, but I was embarrassed, insulted, and disappointed. With all the competition from online sellers and stores like Guitar Center I am really surprised that they think treating the customers this way is viable. If I were in charge of this place, I wouldn’t necessarily tell my employees that the customer is always right……… but I would tell them that the customer does get to try out instruments to the degree that they want to, because you never know when inspiration will strike and that magic connection between a player and an instrument will happen……… and I would tell them that insulting the customers is a way to lose business in a hurry.

I have been taking guitar lessons since January 2021 at DMI. Teague has helped me not only with my guitar chops, but also foundational music theory. Lessons should be followed up at home with consistent practise to cement the learning. Scale, harmony, playing with pick (as opposed to fingers), chord progression, practise sheets, song breakdown, etc. are some of the activities Teague has helped me on. I had some experience playing guitar and knew some theory as well before joining the lessons and I recommend the same for any new students. Looking forward to the day when I’ll be sitting alone with the instrument and know exactly what buttons to press. Working on it at the moment and enjoying it.
Teague is absolutely awesome! I started lessons with him a few months ago. I came back to playing guitar after taking about a year off. I was worried about returning to this activity as I thought I had forgotten everything and was self conscious about my lack of skill. But Teague has been very patient, attentive, and compassionate. He always meets me where I’m at, yet gently pushes me to progress. He has made learning guitar a pleasure and has helped me ease back into it!
I was drawn to Teague after learning about her Chord Yoga philosophy, which is rooted in the idea that we can train the muscles in our hands to be stronger and more flexible. Through working with her, I’ve found Teague to be patient, thorough, positive, and honest. She’s a pleasure to learn from and I’m excited to continue progressing with her guidance.
14. VON’S VIOLIN SHOP
Address: 6740 E Hampden Ave Suite #103, Denver, CO 80224 , Cherry Hills Village , Colorado , United States
Von’s Violin shop gave me a wonderful experience. I walked in after being given times of 1-2 Weeks to fix my sound post and walked out within an hour with everything fixed. On top of that, while I was waiting I was offered a chance to try out one of their Carbon fibre cellos. It was a fantastic experiece being able to so quickly be helped.
Great guy. Very knowledegable. Great prices.
My violin was ‘dead’. I mean the bridge, the tailpiece, the strings, the bow…just garbage and nothing about it sounded pretty. I only came in to get the strings replaced and Von gave me suggestions on how to improve my violin and I just got it back — WOW. It is like a brand new violin and it sounds BEAUTIFUL again. I never want to put it down. I will always go to Von for my violin needs. Not only that, but the price was actually quite low for how much work was put into it. Thank you Von, for restoring my violin and my passion for fiddling!
This man will sell you an instrument for a very high price, it doesn’t even have a have a name inside. Then when you want to upgrade your instrument he’ll buy it back for a fraction of what you payed for. Very unhappy doing business with him. Be careful!!
15. Elevated Music Center
Address: 6955 S York St #418, Centennial, CO 80122 , Cherry Hills Village , Colorado , United States
I love Elevated Music Skool! With Friendly informative staff, easy to enroll, and clean environment. Instructors are knowledgeable and have a lot to offer beginning, intermediate as well as advanced students. Instructors take excellent care of their student…I will recommend Elevated Music Center to all my friends and family!
We are so happy to find such an amazing place for our children to learn about music! The owner and his staff truly care about children and their opportunity to benefit from access to affordable, convenient music instruction and equipment. Love these guys!
The owner Joe was wonderful and really cares about bringing up the next generation of musicians. I was walking by with my two year old and joe invited us in to play with the instruments and explore. It’s clear he wants his school to be a welcoming community space and it was a pleasure to meet him. He was patient with my kid while she was exploring and picking up things. We will be coming back and I look forward to future lessons with my children.

My daughter loves taking lessons from Kevin. He teaches at a speed that is appropriate for her. She loves his selection of songs. A lot of fun all the way around.
We’ve only been to one class so far, but Kevin has already proved to be so thoughtful and engaging with the kids. I’m looking forward to continuing this journey here!
Kevin is such a great teacher. He is easy to connect with, and helps you achieve your goals. Not only is he great with the lessons, but he is also available during the week to answer questions. What I love most is that Kevin is really encouraging during the lessons, and I have never felt shamed like I have with other teachers. I highly recommend taking lessons with him!
I am a 61 year old beginner drummer and I was hesitantly looking for my first set of drums. I was feeling very overwhelmed and intimidated because of my age and inexperience. Derek kindly greeted me and asked me all of the right questions before he helped me pick out the perfect set of drums, stands and cymbals. He was very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable during the whole selection process. Thank you for the superior customer service Derek!
Thanks for the help picking out drum heads!
I received excellent service. The product I purchased was just as described, no surprises. Friendly and responsive staff to deal with. Thanks to all at Rupps.
Nice variety
Good quality
Check them out
Good collection of drums, great service
Awesome little drumstore that has every drumming thing ever. Perfect for picking up something small or getting pro help with your drum set. The prices are slightly higher but I am happy to pay a little more for a local business. Furthermore the employees are really nice and happy to help in anyway possible.
Ordered a conga drum head & paid a deposit two weeks ago and told them when I absolutely needed it. Very nice salesman said it should be in, no problem. As the deadline approached, I called and asked if my drum head had arrived and the owner said he’d call the supplier to check & get the tracking number and that he’d call me back with an update. I never got a call back. I never got my drum head in time for my gig. Store is now closed for the weekend. Will have to call and get my deposit back. It’s unfortunate because I heard such good things about Rupps. If you are not comfortable guaranteeing product delivery by a specific date, then you should not take a customer’s order.
I thought I would support small businesses in America as often as possible so I put in an order to Rupps for over $ 700 after a week I called and found out my order had NOT been sent. I had to call to find out my order had not been processed. I WILL NEVER TRY Doing Business WITH Rupps EVER AGAIN!!! I Do NOT!!! recommend these IDIOTS to ANYONE!!!
