Had a fantastic experience here last week. Would highly recommend!
I love it ❤️
Very helpful staff and easy to find. Having a piano moved by them
A lot of instruments, friendly staff. Very cramped space though, otherwise I’d give it a better rating.
Very friendly and helpful employees. I love the piano selection for rentals, but for guitars I’m not impressed. Wish they carried some different brands. Super nice people though.
I chose this establishment when it came time to decide where I was going to buy my guitar I had a good relationship with a former manager who sold it to me. I have been in and out of the store from time to time and purchased a few items here and there but honestly I was not happy with the phone conversation I had yesterday with whom ever picked up the phone.
He was very cordial and businesslike of course which anyone but expect from a well-seasoned established neighborhood outlet. I have enquired about a couple of items I needed to complete a project he said that he can order them for me but when I added I believe I can get them on eBay as well he said okay thank you very much and rudely hung up on me.I don’t believe that’s just because I choose to get one or two items from a different resource that I should face such reprisal and for this reason alone I will not return to the store and it really is a shame when you walk in you get that old time flavor that was so calm and many years ago. It was just not professional behavior and now my trust is lost. Sorry I just left this message by way of microphone I think it may be hard of hearing completely Miss worded the whole thing
This store is under terrible management! My family sold a beautiful piano to the store and the OWNER signed a receipt stating that he would pay us $1500. My mom took the receipt back to the store so she could pick up a check and not only was the salesperson incredibly rude to her but the owner refused to pay her the full amount. She could only get shake $1200 out of him. The owner is unprofessional, dishonest, and rude. This experience was the worst we have ever had to endure with any store and I hope this will serve as a warning to others to not trust this store. If I could give the store a negative score I would.
It is very sad that a business that has been around for over 30 years can treat a person the way Wayne tread me today. Ive purchased several instruments from this shop and never had any problems. Today I was yelled and cursed at, and shockingly was pushed out the shop. All this because I wanted a return or exchange on a item I purchased 3 days ago. This may sound hard to believe, I am still in shock about this whole situation. I’ve never allowed anybody to curse and humiliate me the way I was today. I don’t know if Wayne has any mental issues and he had a break down, but I would like to warn any body going to this place to be very cautious. Specially if you are bring your kids. I would not want anybody to get hurt. Mental health is a very serious thing and I hope the owner of this place seeks help, because the behavior I saw today is not from someone who is mentally stable.
I am looking to buy or rent a grand piano but after several strange phone conversations, I give up and will take my business elsewhere!
Very rude and unfriendly person who keeps changing his story. What a weird experience.
4. Duvateen Sound
Address: 4985 Gaddy Ln, Kelseyville, CA 95451 , Cobb , California , United States
I love the variety of instruments they have. I’ve also found all of my private music instructors through this business. The only thing that keeps me from buying more instruments is the expensive pricing, but I guess for Davis, that’s pretty normal, and the shop does have deals sometimes. The workers are very knowledgeable, accommodating, and friendly, and care about keeping the shop (including the instruments) pristine! 🙂
Went in for an action adjustment to my bass expecting to drop it off and pay. A kind person working there worked on it right away for free!
We always have great experiences here, so I am finally writing a review! Prices are very fair and they price match if you find a better deal elsewhere. The saxophone specialist is so helpful and always goes out of his way to help my daughter with her instrument. Also, they are very patient, even when dealing with difficult customers — which I have unfortunately observed at times, like today :(. Also, I appreciated the free service of stringing our guitar – again, they took special care to do a great job. Thank you for being such an awesome local business!
Huge variety of.musical instruments and supplies for students.
Good place to put a music store. There’s plenty of parking, unlike the last place. Lots of office/cubicle spaces for practice sessions. Perfect location and its easy to find, get off at Covell Blvd and go West to the stop sign. My only CON is, they’re SO expensive. Just a little overpriced on everything, but that’s the way it goes these days.
Great store for rentals and purchases, but can get a little pricey, but still a great store all around.
My experience was not to good. I had to wait a long time before i was assisted in buying a bass with amp. I had to get an employee s attention just to get service. The females working there are nice and polite. The male employee that was trying to help me seemed to know very little about was good to buy for first time bass player. Ill go back and see if i get better service.
Don’t bring your instrument to get repaired here. Very laggy with no communication. Waste of time.
You should update your hours on Google if you’re going to be closed on a day you say you’re open. We drove 40 minutes out of our way to go here just for them to have a sign saying they’re closed.
Mary Ellen and her team are incredibly knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient and the shop is chock full of everything you need and if by chance it’s not they will get it for you. AND an added bonus is that she matches internet prices so shop locally everyone!
More variety and better service than you can imagine
Great local music store. Love this place
Very cool rustic music store with knowledgeable, friendly staff.
To my surprise this lil mountain store was very well stocked with Fender strats and basses. A very nice selection of aucustic guitars. The staff was nice and friendly.
great spot, great people. a bit overwhelming but take a min and its easily appreciable
Over priced
Owners are rude
Drove there on Sunday, as Google said they were open. They were not.

Address: 9815 CA-53, Lower Lake, CA 95457 , Cobb , California , United States
Great inventory and services. Excellent customer service
They either have it or can get it!
A true gem to have in Sacramento. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly and always helpful.
Oldest music store in Sacramento. Instrument you will not see at other stores. Friendly and personal staff.
Great Friendly and knowledgeable! Been around for years!
Friendly, family owned music store.
Won’t go back, they don’t accept returns, they don’t have the no returns sign posted at the counter or anywhere in the store.
Drove 42 miles for a scheduled music lesson. Teacher was a no show. No apology. “Just a misunderstanding” Had specifically requested confirmation if there was any change to the schedule. Also happened to another student on the same day, same teacher. Kline’s didn’t bother to check the schedule or alert other students.
Very disorganized and absolutely no customer service consideration for paying customer inconvenience. Go some place else for music lessons!
So my account was hacked under my nose and gave this place a 5 star review raving about some drummer Tony. I’ve never been to this shop but I’ve seen it driving by. Scuzzy business.
10. El Dorado Hills Music, LLC
Address: 873 Embarcadero Dr Suite 1, El Dorado Hills, CA 95762 , Cobb , California , United States
Very knowledgeable down to earth staff, something that seems like a rarity in music stores, and all guitars come perfectly set up, definitely my go place.
Fantastic staff very knowledgeable helped me with every single detail of my equipment. Chris they manager is outstanding
They are knowledgeable and helpful
Good service
These folks are always great. You have to be good with informal, but it’s great because you’re just chatting about instruments with other people who love instruments. You going to Guitar Center? Skip’s is 10 minutes away…go there after before you buy.
One star for my experience with Mike. Made me feel like I was inconveniencing him by asking simple questions. He was condescending when I asked about a guitar repair. He was also very dismissive. Thankfully the manager on duty Erik was amazing as well as the two gentleman at the front desk. Because of them I will be coming back to the store on a day when Mike is NOT working. 5/5 for those gentlemen. 0/5 for Mike.
Called and asked about inventory and selection on some dj equipment and was told they have “everything from high end to low end, come on down!”. Got there and they had 2, one low end and one high end, no variety. Seems like they’ll say anything to get you in.
Returned rental and continued to be charged. Had to come back in person twice to get charges reversed. Better off going somewhere else to rent instruments, ripoff place!
12. Mountain Music
Address: 4444 Piedmont Ave, Oakland, CA 94611 , Cobb , California , United States
very kind and helpful, good selection too and reasonable prices
Extremely friendly staff. You can try out instruments as long as you use hand sanitizer. Large selection of stringed/electric instruments.
A magical place wherein dreams come true
I’ve enjoyed each visit and was assisted with my needs with courtesy and professional experienced staff.
Tiny shop crammed with a surprisingly good selection of stringed instruments
This is our neighborhood used and new instrument store. Same for amplifiers. Come here for strings and electronic tuners. They facilitate all kinds of music instructions and sell printed materials. Last time we went in I waited for my sons on the couch as they got lost on keyboard and other toys.
13. Wildwood Music Co
Address: 1027 I St, Arcata, CA 95521 , Cobb , California , United States
Great selection of used musical gear! Took my tele in for a tune up and they did a great job for a fair price
Pretty good but they don’t always have what you need.
Small, funky music store.
We shall see.
Good things coming. Some pics of insperation.
R3stless1
I’ve been there 4 times since moving here.. just sucks.. over priced and very limited and you cant get any help shopping.they lost mega cash cuz they wouldnt even talk to me.try 2 street in eureka they sold me a few nice guitars at a really great price and…customer service lol..it’s really for college kids not real musicians.
Do not come here for electric instrument repairs. When I brought my bass in, I was simply told that my issue was non-existent. After I came in and demonstrated my instrument’s issue, the repairman instructed me to buy a specific input jack from the manufacturer’s website. Then when I brought the new input jack to the repairman he told me that I bought the wrong kind of jack. He offered to buy the part off me. Afterward, I called the manufacture website and discovered that I had actually bought the right part, and the repairman was incorrect. I brought my bass in again, where he claimed to have fixed the issue. But this was only temporary – my instrument is experiencing the same issue it had several months ago. I am not sure if this repairman is inexperienced or if he just blew me off.
Several friends have told me similar stories about this character from New York. I am disappointed because I’ve heard great things about the other luthier who works through this establishment.
14. Fiat Music Company
Address: 2722 Pinole Valley Rd, Pinole, CA 94564 , Cobb , California , United States
I havw been a student here for around a decade and I love Fiat!!!!
Wonderful music store that also gives private lessons. Just about anything music can be found including 8 track tapes.
Great place to buy and learn musical instruments.
Very knowledgeable on instruments
The place is decent but it could be better. They should clean up the old stuff that clatters the hall and dust the pianos. Also, the lesson room definitely could use some improvement in terms of the pianos and acoustics. They should tune them and apply new insulation. I think the lesson room is a bit too small.
Good store and nice service
I would give this place negative stars if I could. Went In to actually buy a guitar, started playing an acoustic softly and got asked to leave at 12:30 in the day. If you can’t play a guitar, how can you know which one to buy? No lessons going on either. Treated like a piece of S*** and All I wanted to do was give them business. Terrible experience, terrible establishment.
Junky store and over priced better deals online
I brought in my guitar to have it restrung and it took them four days to turn it around, they didn’t even tune it. The associate who I left it with was really unorganized and, when I picked it up, they didn’t ask for my work order slip or any info—anybody could have walked in and left with it. This was my first time using their services and I likely won’t go back.
15. Car Music Etc.
Address: 7830 Bell Rd, Windsor, CA 95492 , Cobb , California , United States
I brought my sprinter in to Gerardo because the espar heater I installed had a wiring harness that looked like a bowl of spaghetti. He did an awesome job getting the heater wired and up and running. Gerardo spent time showing me all the details of the install which included crawling under the van to take a look. He is very professional and his work is clean and detailed. While he had the van he also fixed a problem I had with my house batteries and cleaned up some of the fuses and wiring I had installed. Highly recommend this shop and will not hesitate bring the van back.
Gerardo and the team did a great job on the full build of my 4×4 sprinter 170. They truly care about doing good work and delivered a quality product. Gerardo is easy to reach when there are issues and handles them in a timely manner. He also is good at walking through how to use the different systems in the van. I would highly recommend visiting this shop if you are looking for a full van build or just some small additions.
This guy’s work is top notch! Got a sub package installed in my car getting the wife’s done this weekend. Both times the appointment wasn’t to far out.
Called to get a quote for a remote starter, they never followed up.
16. Redwood Music Mart
Address: 511 F St, Eureka, CA 95501 , Cobb , California , United States
Such a gem! Was recommended to this shop for their knowledge and expertise in saxophones. Went to purchase some reeds and the fellow working at the shop offered to give my new saxophone a test drive to see how it sounds. As a beginner, I was so thankful for this- he made it sound so clean! Hooked me up with basic needs for me to get started and had lots of musical instruments including vintage guitars, mandolins, ukelele’s, tongue drums, banjo’s, bongo drums, steel drums, drum sticks, tambourines and all kinds of accessories. It was my first time in this shop and definitely not my last 🙂
The owner was very helpful, honest and friendly. He knew alot about music and instruments and helped me find a recording microphone and cable that would meet my needs. The store was clean, organized and inviting. Its not a big store but seemed to have a really good amount of instruments and equipment. The prices were fair and I was overall very satisfied when I left. I will definitely be going back. (I didn’t buy the guitar in the photo, I took the photo for someone I know who is Niner fan. He had very nice guitars there)
It’s not Two Street Music but it’s music
It is a private kind of shop, a bit more sedate and serious than 2 St, who. I also do business
Small, nice music store! Very friendly help!
17. James C Davis Piano Tuning
Address: 122 Calistoga Rd Box 310, Santa Rosa, CA 95409 , Cobb , California , United States
I’m writing this in response to Steven D’s 1 star rating of James Davis, piano tuner. James Davis and I have know each other since 1974, when I started learning piano tuning under his tutelage. Judging a tuner’s quality of work is very subjective. Having heard 1000’s of pianos James has tuned, I can unequivocally say he is an excellent tuner with over 60 years experience.
James is correct that one can’t please everyone he tunes for, for various reasons, probably more imagined and some real.
Please note, the piano owner did like the tuning until the reviewer thought otherwise. If she had a problem, while he was there she should have said something. Simple as that. He would have addressed her concerns at that time.
Furthermore, a statement like “Have a good life” is just that. He considered the conversation over, and that he will probably never tune that piano again. I consider this a polite way to end the phone call.
Most importantly, to infer that James was saying “F-you” to Steven D, is totally out of character. This was Steven D’s interpretation, and his alone. James is one of the most honest and moral people I’ve ever known.
Just a footnote-it’s my understanding that James offered to reimburse the $160 charged for the tuning, and Steven declined to accept this. Instead he decided to ascribe a 1 star rating to his work, and disparage Jame’s character. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. But his review shows more about Steven’s character than James Davis’.
Jim’s tuning is just what I want and need. I rebuilt pianos for about 50 years in Pennsylvania, and kept my 4 best…Including a Steinway “D”( 9 ‘6″”) a Steinway”B” (7’6 Both of these inlayed art-case Duo-Art, thus the extra 6″ on each. The “D” is one of only 10 ever made, the “B” is one of only one made, and a third is also an only one. Needless to say, I don’t trust these pianos to just any tuner, Jim is perfect for my needs.
I just moved into a senior park and got acquainted with a wonderful lady across the street and after a few minutes of conversation we discovered we had a lot in common…mainly music… and we both play piano. She then said I should come by and play it sometime…but warning me it was out of tune. I did stop by soon after that and saw and played her piano and yes…it was in bad need of a tuning. I thought it would be a nice gesture if hired a tuner to do the job as a thanks for being so welcoming to the park. After a few calls I contacted James to do the job. We made the arrangements and he performed his “so called” tuning. Just a little back round of myself…I have been a musician all my life and have four albums to my credit. I play all the instruments myself and although I don’t consider myself a virtuoso on piano, I do have a very good ear. I my past I worked for a music store in San Jose refurbishing and restoring pianos, and on occasion I have tuned a few. I just chose not to do that for a living. Long story short…I played my neighbors piano after James tuned it and I was so disappointed as was my neighbor that I was compelled to call James to at least express my disappointment. He said he played the piano for her and asked if it was okay and she said it was fine. But now I know that she just didn’t want to cause any confrontation over the poor job performed by James. After I confronted James over this poor job his final comment to me was that he cannot please everyone and that I should “Have a good Life”! Under the circumstances everyone know that statement really means “F-You”. So if you want to pay good money $160.00 to have your piano magically “NOT Tuned”, then by all means call James…he’ll “Good Life” you too!
18. Two Sisters Antiques
Address: 3988 Main St, Kelseyville, CA 95451 , Cobb , California , United States
Quaint and friendly place, beautifully laid out and organized.
I absolutely love this store and the sisters are so caring and funny. Every time I’ve gone in I’ve laughed every time. They also have a huge assortment of items that’s a total reminder of being younger.
19. Mantova’s Two Street Music
Address: 124 2nd St, Eureka, CA 95501 , Cobb , California , United States
Great service and inventory. If they don’t have it they’ll get it, and for competitive prices. And friendly, too!
Good music shop. Wide variety of musical instruments and supplies for all levels of experience. They also had some cool off the wall gadgets. Customer service was a definite 5 star rating! They were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I also appreciated the way the employees made it comfortable to pick up and try the instruments. The store hours are great, considering they were one of the few stores open on a Sunday morning. Great shop. It would be my local go to music store if I was local 🙂
Over priced
These folks are down to earth and have standard instruments along with unique treasures to find
Your website says you are open. So I drove into town. You’re closed. Yes covid 19. But update your site plz so that people don’t drive to eureka only to realize it was a waste of time and gas.
Let’s just say I had a complaint about an employee and I felt it was handled poorly.
NEVER SHOP HERE!!WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!
Anthony sold my autistic son a crap guitar and when it kept breaking they actually told him it was his fault because he didnt know how to play. He has been taking lessons for 3 years and is very good and has 3 orher guitars with no problems. They discouraged my autistic kid from music, the only thing that makes him happy, and should be ashamed of themselves.
