Took a reissue Fender Deluxe Reverb in for some trouble shooting. Tom figured it all out and my amp sounds great, no more weird noises, nice and quiet! Price was better than fair. Unfortunately while I was in there,a Sonic Blue Mustang caught my eye and I ended up buying another guitar all expertly setup by Tom.
I brought my Martin HD-28 to Tom for some small repairs. He also noticed the badly pitted finish on the upper side of the body. I had been told by other repair places that it couldn’t be fixed without refinishing the entire guitar. Tom thought otherwise. I took a chance and had him go ahead with the finish work. He did a fantastic job — far better than I had hoped for and for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend Tom’s work.
MM is the old school shop with built in funk. Take a 6 pack of beer and be ready to do some jamming.
They were very nice. I would have appreciated knowing the specialist tuning gjutars wasn’t there before the long bus drive with the guitar. He’ll be there Saturday.

Address: 4337 N Golden State Blvd Suite 106, Fresno, CA 93722 , Easton , California , United States
I couldn’t of asked for better customer service! My daughter’s flute was missing a key and we were in and out of there in no time!
Best Customer service and the most expert and knowledgeable staff.
Friendly staff, good deals and prices, we got everything we needed!
Great location for instruments, repair, parts & service. Extremely knowledgeable & helpful.
Bought some reeds for a clarinet fair price quick service.
They are knowledgeable and seem fair about pricing. Get the person’s name you speak with if you call, as they have a few guys working there and then you won’t have to repeat everything and get a different opinion.
Joe is the best there is at what he does, bar none! I drive over 200 miles to bring my gear to him for service (C-3, Motif8, rack gear, etc.)
They serviced my grandparents organ back in 1981 (that’s how I found them). Mr. Cardoza was very courteous and professional. I’d use him again for any organ work.
Mr. Cardoza is one true gentleman, I do not know another person more respectful and professional than him. It is an honor to know people like Mr. Cardoza.THANK YOU!!!
WiFi iffy no Netflix

Cool
5. American Music Co
Address: 2597 E Ashlan Ave, Fresno, CA 93726 , Easton , California , United States
Brady, the luthier for string instruments, was fantastic! He deserves a 8 star rating. I brought my daughter’s cello in for a fallen sound post. He treated us with respect, even though she doesn’t have the most expensive cello. (This has been an issue with other luthiers and shops in the area) His turnaround time was fast and his work was excellent, he cut a new sound post. When we got the cello back, he had polished and cleaned it as well. I thought his pricing was fair for the work he did. I will always bring my instruments to American music company.
The experience was great bought my first guitar there, friendly staff.
It’s ok
I came in just to look around and while the employee there was very nice, he was also very patronizing. Overall enjoyed the store. It is relatively small but still very nice.
Love this place, been around a long time. Good people
No one paid attention to me and I was ready to biyba quitar and amp.
Staff really shows they care
Terrible customer service! Won’t step foot in there again. Left without buying anything. Decided to go to Patrick’s where they were extremely helpful and considerate. Employee insisted that I was being sarcastic, which I wasn’t. He told me that masks make it easy for people to be sarcastic. All I asked is if they had guitar strings. He then said all they do is sell guitars and no strings. So idk who was being sarcastic. I asked an honest question since at first glance I didn’t notice any. Bad, bad, baaaad!!
6. Guitar Center

UNA DE LAS MEJORES TIENDAS DE ELECTRONICOS Y TE AYUDAN EN LO QUE NECECITAS EN FRESNO ME ENCANTA ESTE LUGAR
Good service. Jd knows how to set up a guitar.
Great selection, staff super helpful and friendly
It’s my regular store so I have no problem with that place
I am a guitar teacher in Fresno, and Jeremiah was very helpful in assistance with questions about the particulars of Taylors, Gibsons and Martins… I make recommendations to my students for purchases based on what I know and what the guitar tech knows and when they’re right in sync with each other I get feeling pretty good about the direction a decision is going…
Good stuff
Terrible return fees, Need to be careful of what you buy from here, they’re not honest in business, they charge 15% of restocking fees plus taxes. It is a ripoff store, not like Bestbuy or other stores.
First of all, I purchase and have purchased everything I own musically from Guitar Center since they first opened. Roland electric drums, about 8 Ibanez guitars, Ibanez Bass, Keyboard, mics, cables, hundreds of strings, books, stands, stools and such. Today, I went in with one question regarding “Monster” guitar cables. Q= Are monster cables directional? The first staff member I approached said he was not a guitar guy which is understandable and he walked me over to a guitar guy (Jesse) whom was playing a guitar on an amp. 1st staff guy said Jesse , this man has a question for you. Jesse replied “I just got on my lunch break”.. “sorry”. I thought what a douche that cant answer one question without even having to get up. It took more words for him to say he’s on lunch than it would to say yes or no, or go ask “Patrick”. I walked away saying “Ya, its not like I don’t buy everything from here!! I was quickly approached by Patrick who took care of me and I ended up buying another cable , despite wanting to walk out. Thanks Patrick for hooking a brother up!

7. Central Sound
Address: Fresno, CA 93710 , Easton , California , United States
My daughter needed a Guitarron for High Marachi Band. David and Anthony made sure my daughter got the right size. Anthony also replaced the strings on her 6 string acoustic guitar and made it sound new again!! We found our permanent instrument shop!! Shop local!
This place came highly recommended from another music store. They do everything, but they are the master off woodwinds!
We have been at Patrick’s for over 10 years. And we have had a variety of teachers throughout the years and each have teacher has shared a love of music and learning. My children have an appreciation. Thank you for all of you that put this amazing school happen I know if it was not for each of you teaching Eli and Josiah they would not be the young people they are today.
Great prices and amazing service!
I was surprised by the inventory of this shop. They have great selection of string instruments, guitars, wind instruments! Large selection of music sheets, accessories are available. Whether I am fixing my instruments, upgrading or getting gift for a music enthusiast they are very accommodating and helpful.
There’s also music lessons available. It’s a one stop where all the music needs are met.
I certainly want to give credit where credit is due. I am quite an old guy now, and I want to eventually leave my Martin and my Taylor acoustic guitars as memorabilia for my family. A friend of mine suggested that I add my signature to each of those guitars. I had no idea how to do that because I didn’t want to simply sign each with a permanent felt pen. I contacted a number of music stores for guidance, but no one knew what to say about it – until I called Patrick’s Music. The owner of Patrick’s Music suggested that I consider going to a trophy shop about perhaps getting that done. I would have never thought about this, as no one else did. But due to Patrick’s advice I decided to contact Sunnyside Trophy Shop, and very fortunately they were able to place a laser signature on each guitar. This is very valuable to me and my family, so I must thank Patrick again for his influence and advice. Because without that, I would’ve never known what to do about getting that permanently done!
Patrick the owner is a great guy. He knows the various schools and school districts in the Fresno area and he knows how to size your child up with the right instrument for the school district they are in.
Great staff greeted me once I came in the door.
they don’t answer the phone

One of the best music stores. And Matt Okumoto is the best!!! 5 stars for him!
Always courteous and helpful. Love the selection of music.
Great music shop! So friendly and helpful. Had the piano books I was looking for in stock! Thank you, Gottschalk!
I was there for four items and unfortunately only able to purchase 2
Very helpful and knowledgeable
Very nice music store, a wide variety of instruments. Brass and woodwind instruments, some high end horns. A great selection of music related books, too. Clean store with street parking. Visited a couple of days before Christmas, and they were seriously understaffed. The wait was about 25 minutes at the counter. I had to find what i needed on my own. When i got to the counter, the personnel was very friendly and very helpful. So one point off for lack of help, otherwise a real nice store!
Avoid giving your email address to this small business. They don’t use a system where you can unsubscribe. They have an old fashion email list, and you can reply to it it either. My son played an instrument for 3 weeks and gave it up. I have been receiving emails from them for 3 years since with no way to removed it. Completely annoying.
Good Afternoon, I dropped my daughter’s trumpet off August 19, 2019. I was told by the staff, the instrument would be ready Friday, August 23. I stopped pass the music store, Monday morning, August 26, to get a status on the instrument. I was told the trumpet was not ready. I called Tuesday afternoon, August 27, and was told the trumpet was not ready. I am a value costumer, who value other people time and would like the same in return. Unfortunately, it does not happen. If the instrument was not going to be ready for pick-up on the day provided by the staff (Friday 23 August), courtesy calls should be made informing the customer a status on their “drop off” instruments. More than a week has past, the instrument has not been touched or cleaned. Gottschalk Music Store customer service skills are being executed poorly and unprofessional.
They NEVER return a phone call or call when repairs are ready.
15. Bentley’s Drum Shop
Address: 4477 N Blackstone Ave, Fresno, CA 93726 , Easton , California , United States
These guys are top notch.
I bought a drum set from another place and they tuned it to perfection.
IT DOESN’T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS. Very consistent service, prices, and the best
selection anywhere in California. Many different areas within the store highlighting SNARES, SETS, CYMBALS, LATIN PERCUSSION that give folks LOTS of breathing (hitting, grooving, trying out stuff) room! I recommend this store to all my students. Oh, and did I mention the world level drum clinics that Bentley’s has hosted numerous times a year? Priceless.
Great selection and crew
Fast friendly service and had what i needed. Thanks Bentlys
Dana was very knowledgeable and very helpful when I inquired about hang drums.
Great selection, friendly staff, AC not on or on low because we were perspiring! We’d have stayed longer but it was uncomfortable! We were ready to shop!
I ride a bike skateboard on occasion. This place doesn’t accommodate. They actually kicked me out and refused service
Never seen a professional drum shop as frugal as Bentley’s Drum Shop.
I purchased a cymbal from them and had retuned it still under the store warranty for a replacement due to a few small cracks. It took them almost a year to get the cymbal replaced. I was wondering why it took so long after 5 months. So I made a call. The owner claimed that I already came in to pick it up. I told him to check his paper work on his end. He called back and said yes it’s still processing and didn’t even apologize. Wow after 5 months and still processing? Just got a call today to go pick up the cymbal. And they want to charge me for shipping. Again it was still under store warranty. They should of just replaced it with no questions asked.
Always supported them. But after this experience of how the shop owner handled this. Im no longer supporting this drum shop any more.
Unfortunately you can’t go in the store if you have a bike or a skateboard. ♂️
16. Rasputin Music
Address: 5577 N Blackstone Ave, Fresno, CA 93710 , Easton , California , United States
Best selection and a massive variety of DVDs (movies & tv seasons), VHSs, CDs, records, band t-shirts, and posters (along with cassette tapes). Prices are ridiculously great and they pretty much have anything you need…some of their DVDs date back to the 30s. And the atmosphere is solid; the staff really know their stuff and are super helpful. Basically, whenever people ask where they can buy these items, I always recommend Rasputin!
Absolutely the best place to go for movies, books even clothes. The prices are extremely affordable!
I just called to ask for help about trading or selling my dvds and they were very helpful thank you rasputin
Cool place… seems we always find what we’re looking for…& the people that work there are helpful…
Even though their inventory is huge,it seems they
Cant keep up with new or current music in their displays to purchase, other then that its a koo place
One of the last or couple last good record stores in this area. In the days where digital music is bigger than ever real record stores are hard to find. Rasputin has a fair selection of music, DVD’s, clothing ,turntables and a couple books.
Way over priced
Been waiting for the store to open back up.. seen that website said they were open but after the drive across town I found out that they are still closed ☹️. They could at the very least email their members to let us know the status of the store
Bad experience sorry workers don’t help u at all not friendly poor place its a sham hire better people where do they get these people never going back
17. Ragin’ records
Address: 1118 N Fulton St, Fresno, CA 93728 , Easton , California , United States
Absolutely delightful place. They have a small boutique called Sour Milk inside that sells nice curated accessories and clothing. <3
My lil brother bought his first turntable, and needed vinyl record. Gentleman was very helpful and explained everything to us. Will definitely be back.
I love this store! The people that work here, and the owner are all incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Their selection is insane! Tons of punk, hardcore, metal. They also have tons of rap, indie and rock. You can’t go wrong with shopping here. Above and beyond any other record store within a hundred mile radius, if not further! Keep up the great work!
They had a nice selection of new and used vinyl. A bit too pricey for my tastes though. For a $34.99 vinyl I can get the C.D counterpart for $5.99 on Amazon. Sorry, although I prefer vinyl in some cases there isn’t that much difference in sound sonically to justify the price hike.
Great selections
Awesome selection of punk vinyl
It was a terrible experience rude customer service and the owner cussed at me and threatened me because I had my mask under my nose.
This store is to pricey
Now my review is not based on cleanliness, or content based but on return policy. I bought a record for my wife in December for a Christmas gift. It was an older Blondie album and when I got home I went through my wife’s records and she already had it. So I called and asked if I can return it and they told me yes. Now when I went back later in the week who I think was the owner told me that record did not come from his store as it had scratches on it. I told him yes it did and we argued. Eventually he gave me a return but it wasn’t the full amount. He wouldn’t explain why. I would rather have kept the album if that was the case. He was rude and I will not spend my time or money in that store again. I do have to say his employee was super cool and he helped me locate all the blondie albums in the store.
18. JT’s Music
Address: 325 Clovis Ave #101, Clovis, CA 93611 , Easton , California , United States
They are amazing!! Great customer service! Also he took care of the problem In less than 10 minutes and best part they don’t take a leg and an arm for their service !! Definitely going back!
Dan did a great job on my Rickenbacker!! Thanks Dan and Matt!
Took my amp there for a Bias with my own $120 quad matched tubes. Tech called me back saying he dropped n “broke” one of my quad matched tubes so he’ll replace them. He replaced them with “new” tubes…but the brand name(Apex) stickers on the”new” tubes are falling off. Never seen that on brand new tubes. Oh and it took them 2 weeks. 2 weeks to turn my modern hi-gain amp into a blues combo amp. I know the amp tech didn’t even “test” my amp. How do I know? All my volume, bass, mid, treble, gain settings stayed exactly the same as where I left them. Why was my “broken” tubes not returned to me? And why wasn’t there a receipt for the new ones that are falling apart? Very unprofessional.
Unprofessionally running business they were closed early then business hour
19. Free Bird Company
Address: 838 E Olive Ave, Fresno, CA 93728 , Easton , California , United States
Groovey collection of all things hippie!:) Great place to find neat gifts, tye dye t-shirts for adults, teenagers even your new editions to the family, super cool shop! Check it out!
I had the opportunity to visit Free Bird last Saturday. I love it!
Awesome place. Really cool selection of classic rock shirts, patches, stickers, etc and cool hippie type clothes.
Amazing store with all kinds of treasure. From tye dye clothes to jewelry that is hand made and the best iron on patches. Owner is super cool and very attentive to help you find what your looking for if they have it he will find it for you . Perfect place for 60, and 70’s wear
Nice place.
Old stuff nothing new
I hugged a record. The woman behind the counter accused me of trying to steal it. I explained I was simply hugging the record out of excitement and she said “no one loves Janis that much”. She called the man that works there out and threatened me with the cops saying I was trying to steal the record. I’m wearing a half shirt. How would a record fit under my half shirt? Does she really think I’m that stupid? I wouldn’t recommend shopping there. Their Native American artifacts are poorly made and non traditional. Their items are scratched, cracked and poor quality. If you want to be treated like a human being- DONT SHOP FREE BIRD.
They had great cds though the whole I time I was shopping he kept looking at me with a judgmental look like I stealing and it made me uncomfortable.
