Staff is really nice and knowledgeable, need more small businesses like this. Real personable
Great music shop, friendly and knowledgeable staff.
I simply want to speak up for Jim Dupré, guitar teacher at Music Depot. I have been taking lessons from Jim for several years and I know him as both an excellent teacher and musician. Jim has a knack for working with students to connect with their musical tastes, and to help them find their talents and overcome their barriers.
They had a book I needed.
The selection is pretty pathetic. Employees are just not knowledgeable enough to properly assist in tracking down desired instrument. They were pleasant and helpful as they could be, but we’re not in a position to provide useful assistance.
This old man SCREAMED at my kids because they sat in a chair!I hope he get fired FOREVER!
Good store and staff. Had a little bit of a mix up on a mandolin set up which is why I only gave 2 stars. But everything else about music depot is great.
This is one of my favorite stores in the Northern Colorado area.
I drove most of an hour to get there today thinking I was going to sell something. Instead I wound up buying a guitar.
Great selection and prices combined with very knowledgeable staff make a winning combination.
Fort Collins music go round has a knowledgeable and helpful staff. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly to any musician or someone looking to learn music. From guitars, bass, drums and more, great deals and a large variety of gear awaits each visit. Buy, sell, or trade into another instrument or an upgrade. Highly recommended!
Way better then guitar center! They don’t make you feel like you’re burdening them when you ask for help. The main store I go to for my guitar needs. As well as pick up used pedals. Although I miss spotlight music this one definitely make the sting off that loss hurt less.
Pricey stuff. But good condition. Great service. Would love to go back and see what else I may want to get in the future
I went in tonight around 6pm to pick up some bass strings. When I walked in, I asked for recommendations on bass strings, as I’ve only bought guitar strings before. The man working there didn’t even come fully out from behind the counter to assist me and made a rude comment when I jokingly asked “What strings does Geddy Lee use?” (The bass player from Rush.)
Honestly, it’s not about the bass strings, the inability to walk fully from behind the counter, or the rude comment and attitude. It’s the fact that I’m trying to support local businesses, and EVERY TIME I go to this store, I’m treated as if I’m an inconvenience.
At Guitar Center, I’m always treated with respect and courtesy. It’s making it really hard for me to want to keep supporting this business when I know that I’ll be treated better somewhere else. A small dose of customer service goes a long way.
If they pretended they were happy to see me just once, it would make a difference. I wear the store’s t-shirt, for crying out loud.
Pretty cool…!!!
Seeminly not kid friendly. Employee was not ok with my child holding a guitar, even with 2 adults supervising him. Told us it was ‘too nice’ and redirected us to a wall with guitars priced the same amount. Really discouraged him and we felt too uncomfortable to continue shopping and left. Post signs to not touch or ask for assistance if you have this problem. We’ll continue my son’s musical journey elsewhere.
Edit: i was only just notified of your response. My friend and I are baffled that you’re saying we would talk about smashing a guitar. Especially after stressing to my son that we have to be gentle and careful with them. That is digisting. I handed him the guitar because that was one of the ones that caught his eye because it was in his favorite color. Imagine that, someone liking the color of a guitar and choosing their first one because of that. We also did not immediately walk to the back of the store. We looked at symbols, then bass guitars. My son was in a wagon because he had a broken leg and couldn’t walk. Which meant that guitar was on his lap, in a safe position, again surrounded by adults. I didn’t want any help by your other staff because we felt uncomfortable, as I stated before. My friend was looking for the things he was looking for. They were not the same thing that my son and I were looking for. It’s ok, though, because my son and I purchased a $1200 guitar at a different location, and he’s been taking his lesson seriously as well as taking very good care of it.
Came in with my wife yesterday. Picked your sign off the ground on my way in the store… someone thanked me. that was the only employee interaction I had in 10 minutes of browsing. Not a single person offered me help or asked me if I wanted to play anything. I was here to spend money. you have 500$ shecktor that would have been sold. and the 170 bass would have been also. and a wireless pickup system. but i felt like i wasn’t valued, i grabbed a couple strings and left. oh well i guess?
Mr. Brandon Barrios:
I went to Music Go Around today on purpose to give a local business my money rather than Amazon. I left right away, however, as your shopkeeper responded in an unfriendly manner that I was not wearing a mask. I explained that we are an asthmatic family and his ungenerous response was, “I’m an asthmatic, too, and I’m wearing a mask.” It is your prerogative to wear a mask and force your customers to do so, but it is also my prerogative to take my business where I’m not forced to wear a mask that hinders my breathing and does little to nothing to stop the bad flu called covid-19. You just lost the $500-$1000 I was prepared to spend.
4. Main Street Music
Address: 609 Main St, Windsor, CO 80550 , Jackson County , Colorado , United States
Music Instructions on almost any instrument. Happy place to learn.
Great instruction, and very convenient to be able to bring all of the kids to piano lessons at the same time!
Cannot recommend Main Street Music enough. Great instructors, amazing flexibility with our schedules and an extrememly welcoming environment.
Very helpful with new violin and restringing. Tried lessons and decided not to continue there. No progress in lessons over 5 weeks at $90. You might have a better experience but we would not choose them again.
I went in today to check the place out. The woman working looked at me like I was crazy. I had no help with anything. Awful place to send children or anyone for music lessons.
5. Thrift Store at NPBC
Address: 618 5th St, Walden, CO 80480 , Jackson County , Colorado , United States
Just like so many other reviews prior, I’ll second them. Nate & Jason were incredibly helpful and met my needs and expectations perfectly. I did my due diligence prior to going in and they then educated me way beyond! It’s absolutely clear that they want you to walk out with the right tools rather than pushing things you don’t need. Thanks, even though I live up in NE Denver I will always do my best to get back down there for my musical needs. Rock on, amigos…
I bought online a luthier-made classical guitar with an extensive repair history and a host of cosmetic issues. The crew and their repair person took great care in making sure I understood the problems with the instrument and that it sounds as it should, which it certainly does. Whoever packed it did a helluva job. Highly recommended.
Always a great experience! Thank you August!
EDIT: Since my initial review below, Scott (the store owner) contacted me, verified my attempts at contact (taking the time to dig up emails), and made everything right. I returned the pedal and he confirmed that it was a modified unit and refunded me in total. I’m relieved to hear that this is not considered acceptable at their store and would give 5 stars if someone would have contacted me sooner. Many thanks to Scott.
INITIAL REVIEW: I purchased a used Boss FRV-1 reverb pedal online. Turned out to be a bogus pedal with some other circuit mounted in the FRV-1 chassis. The tone potentiometer was merely mounted freely and unconnected to the circuitboard to keep up the false appearance. At first, I only knew that the thing wasn’t working correctly so I emailed them but never recieved a response after repeated attempts. I hesitated to call, hoping I could figure out/find something minor about the pedal that could be easily fixed. I eventually called and was placed on hold and no one picked up. When I got around to opening the pedal chassis up, I found what I described above.
I had high hopes but just wasn’t impressed. Compared to the Aurora location, this store falls short.
The guitar area was decent with everything displayed nicely but the biggest disappointment was the amps. All the amps we’re covered in dust and we’re absolutely filthy compared to any other store I’ve been to. NONE of the amps were plugged into the power strips so you had to ask for all the cords and power cables just to try anything. That made trying to really test the sound of any guitar a nightmare.
The acoustic room was decent but everything good was locked up so one really couldn’t try much without assistance.
The keyboard section was ok but they definitely needed to be cleaned and at least plugged in for one to try.
The glass cases displaying pedals, audio interfaces, microphones and other accessories was good and decently organized.
All in all, it’s an ok store, but some serious attention needs to be paid to the presentation of all items, ESPECIALLY the guitar amps. All items need to be thoroughly cleaned and then put out on the floor with proper presentation with included power cables so every piece can be tested by the customer. No one wants to have to ask for all the missing pieces just to try something out.
Its usually great. Had a terrible staff that I hadn’t seen before last time I went. I won’t go back.
Every time I buy gear here something is wrong with it. Just paid $60.00 for a set of Gibson Deluxe tuners. Installed them and two of the cover fell off. Someone had cut the tabs off all the covers. Really tired of the lack of attention to the functionality of the gear they sell. Will not buy here again!
I’ve been going here since I was like 6. When I decided to start playing guitar they helped me pick out the perfect one. I go here to buy pretty much all of my gear.
Edit: this place has really gone down. Went in today… took them 15 minutes to even acknowledge I was at the counter… I was trying to sell something, and nobody was in there, and they told me they wouldn’t have time to get me in that day even though I went in at 4, and they don’t close until 8… and it wasn’t even just this last time that was bad, it’s been the last several… it’s gotten so bad I’ve started going to spaceman guitars in a sketchy part of town.
I implore all parents who are considering using this business for their child’s band or orchestra needs to re-consider and look at other options-and YES! there are other options! (this place works overtime to make you think otherwise!) This place will rip you off! I went with Kolancy’s for my 2nd child’s needs-they are more reputable and professional by far, and they actually care what condition their instruments are in when they leave the store!
No Scott, I won’t respond to you, I tried to have things rectified while at your store and you and your employees couldn’t have been any more dismissive or rude, but somehow now you care? Oh, I see, others can read this. Also, my bad experience happened at YOUR store Music go Round, not Music and Arts. I hope others read Joshua Fenner’s review as well since it perfectly captures what other parents and friends
have said they also endured as a customers over the years. I might have to drive farther for instrumental needs but it is well worth it!
Great place, been going here for around 15 years or so, and I’ve bought lots of books and equipment here. Rob is great, low key, friendly, and knowledgeable.
Spotlight is great for all kinds of repairs and adjustments on my guitars. I’ve sent lots of people here and they’ve all loved it.
I had a Bass VI set up here, new strings, trus rod adjustment and intonation. They did a great job, even polished it up and had it looking real nice when I picked it up.
Great selection for AMAZING prices. The staff genuinely knows what they are talking about and are extremely helpful in every way. On top of that they are locally owned!
I’ve got a Breedlove Stage Pursuit, 7 years old, played nearly an hour every day. Prob needs some setup by July 1 for getting back on-platform at Timberline Church. Do you have a tech available (a number of guitar stores – including Guitar Center – say they don’t have one anymore) who could do the work? Would love not to have to drive up to Cheyenne or down to Denver. Thanks.
nice selection of guitars and equipment ,and associated equipment … of string’s piks & suff!
The atmosphere is friendly, and this is clearly not a corporate chain establishment. Unfortunately, they no longer carry Taylor guitars.
.
Really frustrating! Customer service is non-existant!
It was the worst customer service. All I needed was my guitar tuned up. I was given a time quote for when the guitar would be finished. When I called to ask about the guitar after the time quoted, some one told me, it wasn’t done and it would be another 3-4 days. When I asked why I was told the original time frame, and what changed that a tune up would take 5 days instead of the 1-2 I was originally quoted, the response I got was, “Well, I don’t know what to tell you.” The customer service was deplorable. I decided to go pick it up with out the work being done. When I picked it up and made a comment about why couldn’t someone have figured out how to quote it correctly, or at least notify me when they realized it was going to be longer, the guy I spoke with at the shop was rude, and even suggested that the reason it wasn’t done was somehow my fault. So, not only did I have to go pick up a guitar after it was not worked on I was then told I was also my fault that the it never got worked on. After years of me having exclusively shopped at Spotlight. I will never ever return.- As a local business I expected that customer service mattered. The current employees don’t reflect any of those values that I assume the owner does, unless I’m wrong and the employees DO reflect the values of the owner….unfortunate.
These people are the biggest rip-off artists in the world.
Selling defective guitars and equipment. ..
These are all factory seconds, and cheap cheap cheap Chinese knock offs…
8. Music & Arts
Address: 238 E Harmony Rd Suite D10-12, Fort Collins, CO 80525 , Jackson County , Colorado , United States
Great store with a pretty good selection would recommend got my Scarlett 2i2 at a really good price although they did not have any of the XLR cables I ordered those on Amazon so no big deal.
I love this place, always available for questions and they love music!!
The staff are nice & know their products.
Got a speaker that came without a charging cable for some reason. They gave me a new one. One of the employees even went above & got a part I was looking for. Out of curiosity & to have something in the store. No problems with the store whatsoever. And I’m a hard please Lol
Complete rip off. Rented a clarinet for purchase, to find out the contract doesn’t allow a purchase. Can get some store credit, but not much. Can not believe they won’t work with us. We can’t keep the instrument, and if we don’t return it they keep charging for rental…wth???
BBB investigate…apparently we are not the only ones!!! DO NOT SHOP HERE!
The store personnel is great and very helpful. However be wary of Music & Arts rental billing policy. I attempted to return a rented instrument no less than 5 times during March and April 2020, but the store was unattended. I called the store no less than 20 times as my credit card continued to be charged in April, May and June. I stopped payment from my credit card and after returning the instrument in July they are expecting payment for July as well. This is unreasonable policy and I suggest renting your equipment elsewhere.
Horrible customer service. No response back. Poor communications. Do not use this chain for your equipment rentals.
9. Boomer Music Company
Address: 3761 S Mason St, Fort Collins, CO 80525 , Jackson County , Colorado , United States
Paid my 16 yr old daughters viola off from the rent to own program. Yay nice viola
Staff was on point!
They were very knowledgeable with instruments. I have been a going to turn since 1983. Always friendly and willing to help.
It was pretty great. I got my trombone fixed for a reasonable price, and bought accessories for almost nothing. Although I had a little trouble with the employees, it was still a nice experience.
Knowledge staff and good school rental program
Unfortunately, they no longer carry the brand names at I was familiar with them carrying. But they were immediately helpful as soon as I walked through the door.
We made an appointment to get our bari sax looked at and to get it repaired and drove 3.5 hours to the store when we got there we were told oh no we have to put it in a bag and let it set in our store 5 days then we can look at it and decide if we can fix it or not. that was never told to us on the phone before we made the drive. the person was a total jerk and could careless about or sax I would never recomend using boomer music for any work they just dont understand the meaning of customer service
Find an alternative place! Owner is not reasonable businessman. Zero stars if there was one.
Let me be clear, I love this place, it’s spectacular when it comes to orchestral deals, but in terms of guitar it’s god awful. I bought fresh strings and all the bass strings were coming apart and every treble strings snapped as I tuned.
10. Flesher Hinton Music
Address: 5890 W 44th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80212 , Jackson County , Colorado , United States
The repair techs are the best in the business and supplies are competitively priced.
I was there for a sax repair. They fixed it while I waited. The technician was excellent.
Cool music store for sure. The floor guy was very helpful in answering questions about my saxophone and the repair guys were AWESOME. Prior, I took my 25 year old alto somewhere else to get repaired. It didn’t seem right so I dropped by flesher. They pointed out all kinds of neglected leaks and loose springs. It got corrected at a reasonable price and it plays great. Should have went here first.
There’s parking at the new location. Really reasonably priced supplies. Not the best selection for buying instruments though. Since their relocation, seems they’re putting more emphasis on instrument repair. Still probably the best music supply shop in the area
Like always the services people were just great.
The people employees are professional, knowledgeable, and ready to help!
As with any store like this, you can expect them to be salesmen, though they don’t push too hard and don’t avoid helping you find the lowest priced items.
The technicians are great, but I wish they had a bit more enthusiasm.
If you are testing out brass instruments or such, the practice room they put me in had too much reverb to get accurate samples, even with a recording device. I have yet to ask if they had a more acoustically dry room.
They can order sheet music and products, and have all the basics and many accessories for band musicians.
Just terrible experience! Purchased a new wood clarinet 5 months ago. Found out it was cracking, unfortunately happens if not taken care of, but not in the first 5 months.
Took 2+ months to fix, when we finally picked it up, some old guy in the store started telling my 16 year old daughter about keeping it greased every six months- lecturing her because it was so dried out! Finally stepped in and told him…we bought it here less than 5 months ago…in other words, you sold an old dried out clarinet for $2000.00. Will never ever step foot in this store again d/t the service dept.
Went in to check out acoustic guitars earlier today. Got an important call as I was about to tune a guitar I was checking out and the guy behind the counter just starts blowing into some sort of wind instrument seemingly deliberately because taking a quick phone call. So I hung up the guitar and just walked out.
But the guy who welcomed me when I walked in seemed nice.
11. Golden Music
Address: 10395 W Colfax Ave, Lakewood, CO 80215 , Jackson County , Colorado , United States
Bought a baritone ukulele here some months ago. They’ve got a good selection and the staff were all very nice.
The staff are really helpful and we love their student instrument rental program.
I feel like a kid in a candy store 🙂 keep up the good vibes y’all!
The quality of their rental instruments is good. However their employees are beyond rude, especially Terry who is probably the rudest most condescending person I have ever spoken with. Additionally the program they have to except payments is inaccurate so while your bank statement reads that your payment has been deducted and sent to them, they call and claim no payment has been made.
They have lots of instruments but seemed pricey to me. I’d probably try here if I needed repairs though. They have a robust workshop on site, but I thankfully haven’t needed to make use of it yet.
Meh
Literally the worst customer service I have ever encountered, bordering on fraudulent — this business charged my credit card without my authorization after I called in a rental payment. The issue was due to their own accounting incompetence and they deal with it in shady and completely unprofessional ways. And, the string rental program instruments are sad approximation of a real instrument. Many MUCH better rental programs in town. Big thumbs down to this terribly managed company.
Horrible experience. Brought in my violin to have it priced and they said they’ll need two weeks (first red flag). Then three weeks pass and they still have not done anything. When I came to pick up my instrument, the employee had to look through piles of others to finally find it. Shows you how much they care for the instruments that are placed under their care…
Called Von’s Violin Shop in Hampton and the worker said to price would only take~ 15 mins. That’s where I’ll be going.
Tried to have them fix my nephews instrument, they called and told me it was too cheap of an instrument to bother fixing. Most insulting customer service I’ve ever had.
12. Stephanie Blake Music
Address: 1880 Loggers Ln UNIT A, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487 , Jackson County , Colorado , United States
Ms. Stephanie is the best. My daughter has been taking lessons from her for about 8 years. She is professional, kind and extremely knowledgeable.
Stephanie has been working with both of my daughters in singing and piano for about 5 years. We love what Stephanie does for their musical abilities. They enjoy their time with her, learn more from her, they have recitals several times a year and they have substantially improved with Stephanie. Highly recommend!!!
Throughout the 7 years I have been studying with Stephanie, I would not be were I currently am. Her knowledge of music and effort towards her students make for an amazing vocal/piano coach!
13. Guitar Center
Address: 8601 Sheridan Boulevard G, Arvada, CO 80003 , Jackson County , Colorado , United States
Stopped in for an issue with my Akai. Johnny in pro audio was super helpful. We talked about my issues, and other products. Dude was super cool and I appreciated his time and effort to help me out.
It has a huge variety musical equipment including VERY high end guitars (10,000$) to used (64$), amplifiers, drums, keyboards and anything that goes with.
I disliked the hurried pace, the guys must be paid commission.
Parking is easy., access to store not bad.
Three of the five guitars in this photo were purchased used from Guitar Center. Shopping on line makes every GC in the country, your local store. Find what you want, have it shipped to your store and a few days later, play it, dig it and it’s yours. If it is not what you expected, it’s still theirs, after the customary paperwork. Shopping/looking/playing is not discouraged though I have felt like causing mayhem to a budding thrasher with a love of volume.
Muy buen servicio y muy bien surtido.
Plenty of knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful people here. However, I placed an order in store that they made online, gave them my current address, and it inexplicably was shipped to my old address anyway.
Then, I had some questions on an amp. There’s a thin, bald guy I believe with glasses in guitar who I was asking questions about tubes. I’ve played all standard rock instruments for a long while, but just needed some help with a tube amp, something I’ve not dealt with much. The guy was acting like I was bothering him, wasn’t making eye contact, and just generally kept doing what he was doing. I asked him a few things, and he literally said “I don’t want to talk over your head…so just blah blah blah.” I asked him for clarity and he repeated it. Very condescending, I think stemming from my line of questioning and his inability to pay attention to his customer.
Other people there have been great, but what an off-putting person this place continues to employ.
Customer service is not that great people there seem to have an attitude and not friendly but they do have a good product line
The staff ignored me and my daughter. There was no acknowledgment that we were even there. The customer service is severely lacking and at times crossing over to blatant rudeness. Both my daughter and I are musicians and never have I ever been treated so rudely by other musicians (if the staff are)… I will not be going back to this store again.
14. Drum City-Guitar Land
Address: 9225 W 44th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033 , Jackson County , Colorado , United States
The folks at Drum City treat you like family.. True professionals!!! You will find the best of the best in musical equipment here. This is the only place to do business, one stop shop 10 out of 10…
Ordered online from Canada, as finding anything left handed can be a real pain. They had good selection and were really helpful. When the bass arrived there was a tone pot that got knocked during shipping. They had a replacement sent direct from the manufacturer to me with zero hassle. Would definitely recommend purchasing from them.
No matter what level and style of player you are you can count on getting quality service from Drum City Guitar land. I was lucky enough to purchase my 2021 DW collectors kit from them and they were friendly and helpful through the whole process. Even loaned me a case for my 18″ floor tom untill the one I ordered came in.
The staff are passionate about music and about helping players get the gear they need for the sound they want at a budget they can afford. Look no further than Drum City Guitar Land for your musical needs, you will not be disappointed!
Tim is very responsive and always wants to help. If he doesn’t have it, chances are he can get it.
Great store. Knowledgeable staff. Shop here, not corporate monster stores.
Never been there , being that it’s in Colorado.
I have talked to them over the phone. Good stuff , very helpful & knowledgeable. And there website is very well done. And they have a good selection of left handed guitars. Which is awesome!
Inquired over the phone (45 min drive) on needing 2x Iron Cobra Wooden Beaters. “Got them for you” was his response. Fight traffic to get there, buy product and trustingly got back in car. Upon inspection in parking lot, one is labeled CB90W (correct), the other CB90F (wrong). Stems are different and neither comes with weights. Looking closer the wood is shaped differently, different sizes and completely different types of wood. Just paid for two “new” Wooden Beaters that weigh differently and have different bounce properties. This place will lie just to make a dollar. Never going back.
I purchased a guitar from this company for my husband, it was a 7 string Schecter Omen which was something he had been wanting for quite some time so I purchased it as a surprise gift for him. He used the guitar once and the next time he went to play it wasn’t working. We took it to a company that fixes guitars and they informed us that it was a used guitar.. I paid full price for a guitar that was not only USED but BROKE immediately after purchase!! If you’re in the market for a guitar I highly suggest that you search elsewhere. Drum City is not a reliable place to purchase from
I ordered an item online that was in stock that the time of ordering. I even called in the store to confirm. I received an email A WEEK LATER saying my order was canceled because the item was out of stock. First and last time I ever buy from this store.
15. Flipside Music
Address: 2231 S Platte River Dr, Denver, CO 80223 , Jackson County , Colorado , United States
Great guys with great selection of gear. Very helpful too.
Awesome little guitar shop! Very welcoming and had a great stock to look at. Ike and Dillon were very welcoming and answered any questions I had for them. I bought an acoustic off of them for a very fair price. I will definitely be a return customer. Thanks guys!
This is my favorite guitar shop in Denver. The customer service is second to none, they have a great selection of guitars, and Sam, the tech, is the only person I trust in Denver to setup my guitars right. I can’t recommend this place enough.
Great place
First Visit. Nice small shop, great pedal selection and some nice guitar brands (Reverend, G&L among others). Really friendly folks.
Good inventory for a small place.
Overly expensive and also lots of homeless people hanging outside on the street near by. It’s a dump.
16. Mega Music the Musicians Store
Address: 1100 W Main St #2, Sterling, CO 80751 , Jackson County , Colorado , United States
I recently worked with Todd from Mega Music and had a wonderful experience! He was prompt and kept on schedule. He had the stage, lighting and sound set up well before the band arrived to do the sound check. He did a wonderful job with the sound quality and set things up at the perfect volume. I will be utilizing Mega Music’s covered stage and Todd’s expertise again and highly recommend him! Great job Todd and thank you!
Todd does an great job keeping his store stocked to the gills with large selections of instruments, supplies,, and anything a beginner or novas would need. And if he doesn’t have it, he will get it and at a fair price. My son wanted a very specific guitar for his graduation and Todd had in ordered and in our hands quickly and beat the price we had found it online for. Great community supporter of everything and is all about kids getting into music and is very supportive of our areas schools music programs.
Todd provides outstanding service and selections. He runs a professional sound studio, and provides services such as sound system and A/V system installations. He provides music instrument rentals, and keeps his prices on par with any internet price on instruments and equipment. Eastern Colorado is very fortunate to have this level of expertise and knowledge available. I highly recommend Mega Music and Todd to any musician seeking the best equipment and service in Eastern Colorado and Western NE
Awaome people to deal with!!!!
Update: Have been dealing with Todd and his store (Mega Music) for a few years now… This man is my go to guy… PERIOD…. Took my Jackson JS32 to him because it wouldn’t stay in tune.. He did a killer job setting it up… 100% perfect now!!!
Kinda high priced but ok selection and kinda rude most of the time I come in not sure why anywayz
Good selection and everything a musician needs. Only store in town that I would trust with my equipment. He’s got it
went there the other day it was closed. I didn’t really want to wait, I was trying to find an affordable acoustic guitar and since it was closed I went browsing to different stores. (not to mention I did have a price range) I finally went to this pawn shop and found a nice acoustic that fits the sound I was looking for and it was 130$ nothing was wrong with it just old strings. I came back another day to this store and then I was talking to him about how I got this guitar, (I was there to get strings) and he started telling me and being condescending on how I didn’t purchase one from him even tho they were a bit out of my price range he was saying how he could care less if I bought one somewhere else and that I should support the local businesses which I understand but I was looking for something little cheaper. he lectured me and was rude and condescending about it. I was just there for strings so finally decided I will not come back and I’d rather put in the miles to get strings at a different company which I did. this is not Internet trolling or me disliking. he actually lectured me and none of this is trolling or a lie
Called today to query as to consignment of some drums & hardware. The owner was rude, crude, combative, and totally unprofessional. His customer service is non-existent, and his know it all attitude extremely unprofessional. Never again, not sure how he’s still in business, must be the only game in town.
My buddy said never do business here because this guy is rude. I see he responds to all the negative posts saying that never happened. I dont know man why would these people say this stuff if it wasnt true. Lol
17. Meeker Music Inc
Address: 624 N Tejon St, Colorado Springs, CO 80903 , Jackson County , Colorado , United States
They are a local owned business that is always willing to help you with your next rental or purchase. I really like the staff and they know how to treat customers.
Music says everything anytime you going to the music store buy instruments strings anything it’s a great place the people are really nice and friendly you know just about everything there is did you going to need
Good store .. guy had exactly what I needed
Local business with good staff and band supplies. Item markup can be a little high, though.
Nice staff, good selection of basics. If your looking for high school band stuff you’re good hardcore rock or band not so much.
Please fix the hours. The google open hours and actual hours don’t match.
Save yourself. Don’t go when busy. Their service model is first in first out on a waitlist…I waited 55 minutes to buy a $7 item. No one working the register, just all clerks working rentals…no help for those just wanting to buy a quick item. Good luck.
Less than one star. Don’t waste your time. I went it to buy something, but they didn’t have in stock, but did have it at another local location. The person I spoke to assured me they would have it there by 11 30 the following morning for me.
So I go back at noon the following day and he clerk said “oh I saw it it the box I was supposed to bring, but something happened it’s not in there, I must have taken it out. Didn’t apologise for wasting my time. Did not make arrangements for someone to bring it right then. She then resumed talking to her friend on her cell. I will never shop there again.

Good conversation and reasonable prices. What more can you ask?
Came by to play guitars on vacation and took some picks home. Lovely store, cool owner.
Great little shop
Chris was very helpful and accommodating even if i was a day early for his shipment…
I drove over an hour and a half to salida to go this shop and nothing else. I got there, and they were closed at least two hours early. Better call before you go, apparently they don’t keep the hours they post.

Absolutely loved this little shop! Friendly staff and wonderful products!!! Quaint little place
No better shop for musicians in the area, friendly people and helpful.
Best guitar shop in Colorado. But you need experience to see the gems; this is not Guitar Center. David, Shelly & Craig are wonderful people with a wealth of knowledge. I’ve been playing for almost 65 years and I feel totally at home here. Take your time, explore, try out instruments, relax & enjoy yourself. You’ll probably find something you must have, a strap, a set of strings, a Gibson lapsteel, a Taylor or a PRS Ten Top. There reason that John McEuen & John Oates come out of their way to stop in this little mountain town.
Still Super Good!
Overpriced
20. Colorado Piano Care

Chase tuned our Kawai piano this morning. He took the time to answer all our questions about our piano and the tuning was fantastic. He also fixed a key that was getting stuck. Great experience.
Chase does such an incredible job! He not only gets the job done, but has been extremely transparent with me about what is going on with my piano. He explains everything in detail to me so I understand exactly what he is doing and why. Very down to earth, transparent, professional and does a fantastic job! I highly recommend Chase Norris!
Chase came & tuned our WAY out of tune piano so that it sounds great! Convenient scheduling, great work, and you’ll love hearing him play as he tunes up the piano! Great find & highest recommendations!
