Lori was very helpful in helping with picking out the piano for my daughter. I have nothing but great thing to say about their staff as well as their products. Great company!
Bought a “fancy” baby piano. Nothing fancy about it. Makes horrible sounds, and even keys make their own noise when pressed.
Horrible service and company to work for management sucks and works you like a slave owner is horrible wont recommend it to no one at all to work for or order pianos are molded
Very cool and relaxed up and coming store. Trevor and staff are super friendly and helpful and happy to put some extremely nice guitars straight in your hands. A fine selection of guitars and more to come. As for the Brazilian rosewood 10-top PRS beauties they took out to show me…I’m already trying to figure how I could bring one home safely with me next time I’m over in Jax from Ireland!
Fast service great!!!

Good Strings
It’s been a good experience. They were right on time or early with every delivery
My kids love their guitar instructor and have learned a lot.
Music Makers has helped me get over my plateau. They are accommodating to my busy schedule. They provide valuable lessons that have helped me improve in classical guitar. We work on weekly lessons and I see that I’m improving with their coaching. I highly recommend them.
My daughter has been training with this company for a little over a year! Our current teacher is Mike and he’s excellent! Very professional and his passion is apparent.

Tommy is a dedicated teacher with a passion for his study. He is an amazing instructor and tailors lessons for his students to fit their particular needs or wants. Easily the best teacher I’ve had across all my studies, couldn’t recommend enough. Very professional, very talented, great communication, and very kind.
About seven years ago my wife bought me a guitar lessons with Tommy as a birthday present. I was nervous to start and never dreamed that I would soon be playing (and understanding) jazz standards as well as modern jazz/fusion tunes by Carlton, Matheney, Becker and others. Tommy can take you anywhere you want to go on guitar – with ease.
I have been taking lessons with Tommy for almost four years now, and my guitar skills have, and continue to, improve at a fast pace. From the start, he has incorporated my preferences in music and my playing skill to provide fun and challenging songs to practice and play. He also goes into greater detail on many songs so I can learn from a certain playing style and improve my own improvisation skills. Tommy has countless pieces of music in tab and notation, and has given me blues, rock, jazz, and classical songs to work on. Tommy is an excellent guitar player and teacher, and I look forward to every lesson with him.

Like frosted flakes, and tony the tiger, its great!
Salesman, looked like Doc Holiday, great listener, and knowledgeable
Had what i needed. Looked up my past purchases to find out exactly what size speaker i had purchased so i got the right cover. Always a positive experience.
Clean and friendly staff but needs more guitar brands
Over priced
Everybody was friendly and knowledgeable. No used equipment though.
The manager’s was no help and rude , to me and my daughter . would not help find the gear that suites our price and would not lay away the item we wanted . because the manger, his name is (niko) and john is the other one. Niko would not have my item sent to the store. He said they was closed and we stop there to see. And so happens he lied . the other manger is the worst one. He would not show us where anything was in the store. He just pointed to the right side of the store. Instead of assisting us . his attitude was very poor. Made the store look very unprofessional and unwelcoming for the feamle gender. like we walked in the mens restroom or somthing lol. We didnt have been so disrespected & treated so poorly in our time of shopping for guitar gear. My daughter almost took her stuff back because of what they made her feel like. They acted like she wasnt allowed to be there or something. Funny thing is this didnt happen at the georges music, down at the southside . they are not helpful at all. Very rude and smart about the thing. Made us even question why someone would be that way just because a gender difference. Guitar center never did this. I hope in the future your store in Orange park picks better clientele. Mangers need to be helpful and polite . not sexiest and rude. Because someone ask a question. Made me wanna call corporate and tell them. I always shopped there . never had any problems untill i came a cross that store with those mangers. John and niko. None helpful young men. No need for my business anymore. Mu money is not gonna be good enough and my daughter isnt. Thats a shame. My day young men respected and was very polite to ladies. Not at that store. Dont go there if your a female. Those mangers wont help you. They will give you short send offs and lie to your . im surprised they even took your money . i was feeling like they wanted us to leave and not even buy anything. How rude. No more georges music. This fixed me. I refuse to be talked to like a less of a woman or human being for that matter.
Nice place, clean. Instruments didn’t look worn down like most places. However, I purchased a Yamaha YPG-235 keyboard “on sale” here for $289. Wal-Mart, guitar center, and multiple places on the internet have it for $249. Its what I get for not doing my research. A simple Google before you buy something could save you $40.
I am usually a fan of George’s music. I shop at the Orlando location often and have bought some high end gear there. I have also shopped at this location (I’m in Jax for work every so often) and bought a beautiful special edition Tele from them less then a year ago and had a great experience doing it. Today I had some time and stopped by. The min I walked though the door I had one of the sales guys instantly trying to come in for a sale. I wasn’t looking for anything particular but have been thinking about possibly buying a new guitar. Anyway, After playing 300 questions with the sales guy while I’m trying to see what they have hanging around I decided I would like to try out a Fender tele ultra they had. The sales guy asks me if I’m interested in buying. I said “I don’t know because I haven’t played this model and would like to see if I’m interested”.. His response was “we are trying to limit the amount of jamming in this store and trying to keep the guitars looking new as possible” and just sat there and stared at me. That frustrated me.. Then I ask if I can pick it up to see the back of the guitar as I go in to pick it up.. He got the point and pretty much took it out of my hand and told me to sit down on a stool and said he was getting a cable for me to plug in. I asked him to play out of a tube amp. He directs me towards a Fender Tone master amp which we all know is Fenders digital recreation of their tube amps. I told him that’s not a tube amp and I identified an actual tube amp and asked to use that one. I get plugged in. I littlery hit one chord and he asks me “what do you think”. I’m not sure I hit like one note.. Then continues to ask a tone of questions while I’m trying to see if I actually like the guitar or not.. Moral of the story. Please train your possibly new sales people to give the customer some breathing room. Don’t tell them they can’t try a guitar because “We are trying to keep the guitars looking new as possible”.. The manager did come over and talk to me when he finally left and I had a pleasant conversation with her. She was great. But the sales kid is definitely scaring off potential sales and was incredibly annoying. This isn’t a museum.. It’s a guitar shop where people should be encouraged to try the guitars. If we all just wanted to look and buy guitars without trying them we will just order online. Which is the downfall for the brick and mortar shops…
9. 5th Century Music
Address: 1395 US-1 South, St. Augustine, FL 32084 , Nocatee , Florida , United States
5th Century Music (Owner – Fre Gordon) was able to get us 70% more for our guitars than what a local pawn shop was willing to offer. If you want potentially top dollar for your guitars…look no further than Fifth Century Music. THANK YOU FRE!!! 🙂
Great local music store!
Friendly service and competitive prices
Great little store. It’s tiny, but they have the basics to get you through the next gig or get you started learning. What they may lack in size they make up for in service. Helpful without being annoying, and they’re honest. They want you to be happy, and they won’t get you there by upselling. Sure, I wish they were 4 times the size, but they do a terrific job with what they have.
Small place but good peoples
Would be nice if they opened on time. Times on door say they open at 11am. Been waiting 15 min and still not open. Frustrating!
Over Priced!!!
I bought a guitar from 5th Century Music. They said it was new. I found out in less than a week that it was not. The G string had been replaced and the nut had been opened to almost twice the size of the string. I took it back the second day because I couldn’t keep it tuned. They sold me a tuner. They said the one I had was no good. I kept the guitar for a week and I got tired of tuning it. I took it back to the store and asked for a refund. The salesman called the owner and asked if it was ok to give me a refund. The owner said no and the salesman pointed out a very small handmade sign that said no refunds. The sign was not there the day I bought the guitar or on the second day I went there. I left the guitar at the store with the salesman and I am now working with my credit card company.
10. Natural Rhythm Music Studio
Address: 129 Amherst Pl, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32081 , Nocatee , Florida , United States
Me and my brother came here a bit ago and Sean was friendly at the door helped me from the get go. Very knowledgeable on phones and offered us the best deals.
Went into the store to see if I could use my phone as a mobile hotspot to game! The new staff in that store is awesome! Thanks Felix, Billy & Mark & Curtis Good to see a new staff in that place!
This was one of the best customer services that I have ever experienced. Zach was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and made the upgrade to my new phone a seamless experience.
Manager Matt, I deleted my bad review, please stop calling me! I just thought the public should know that your store does not stay open till 8:00 as advertised.
Edwin sold 2 new phones to me, I was promised 55plus rate 2 lines for $80. NOT BILLED THAT RATE. Billed $70 EACH PHONE. Have been back in store 3 times trying to get “supervisor” to fix bill. Only thing done is text message sent to invisible supervisor. Will bring back phones before the 14 day return timeframe if bill not fixed immediately!
GOOD NEWS: Edwin called this am and is working to fix my account. Verizon has internal problem w/ 55plus accounts. Great to see manager working so hard on my account.
Went in to get a new phone and add a line but end up walking out because the customer service was horrible. The guy working (Edwin) obviously didn’t know what he was doing and even at one point stated that he didn’t. He also tried to her charge us $50 more for a phone even though the Verizon website stated it for a cheaper price. So he got an attitude with us and said all he could do was throw in a free $15 screen protector. So we told him to keep the phone and walked out.i will not be going back to this store as long as Edwin works there.
Terrible customer service. Lied about promotions, lied about transferring my phone number, cost me 400$ already AND Im still trying to get this ghost second account with Verizon removed (853$ more dollars there). Do not use a authorized reseller Verizon store. Just go to the real thing
Will never return to this store. Took my phone in to have the battery replaced. Everything else was working perfectly. After the battery replacement, my phone was returned to me with the power button broken. No way to turn the phone off/on. The repair guy was dismissive and shady, refusing to help or take responsibility for it. I ended up having to receive a replacement phone from Verizon. Keep in mind: this is a Verizon authorized retailer, not an actual Verizon store.
14. Sam Ash Music Stores
Address: 8151 Blanding Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32244 , Nocatee , Florida , United States
Great staff. Manager is always there to help me. Have bought 2 guitars and other gear from the Jacksonville store.
The service was great. The store sales person answered all my questions, and I walked out with a better product than the one I was seeking for. I’m happy, they are happy and I still cannot play the guitar…working on it.
Was greeted as soon as I entered the store. Told the associate what I wanted. He showed me to the guitar room and to the style that I was looking for. (Acoustic bass). Price was great and fit my needs. I was in and out of the store very quickly and quite satisfied.
Nice friendly service and knowledgeable staff
Low selection on current midi keyboards and guitars. No much ukulele’s either. 🙁
Good selection of instruments and friendly staff that are ready to help. They also follow safety guidelines for COVID.
I was offered 800 dollars for a trombone . I then went into the store and they offered me 150 dollars
Terrible experience .
Everytime I try to sell something, they always avoid cash buys. It’s always in store credit. This makes the 4 time with different instruments/gear. Sam Ash’s website says “we pay top dollar for name brand used gear”
This place is not checking ID’s for huge purchases. Someone just spent $808 on My HUSBANDS credit card. Thief!
15. Rhapsody Music Inc
Address: 1820 State Rd 13, Jacksonville, FL 32259 , Nocatee , Florida , United States
This is the GREATIST music place that has ever been invented
Richard is the most skilled brass repair technician in the Jacksonville area. I’ve sent horns to him that had a bell that looked like a crumpled Pepsi can that he made look almost brand new. He’s really brilliant at dent removal needless to say and has decades of experience. If you want your horn fixed right the first time for a reasonable price, go see Richard at Rhapsody!
Good customer service
He repaired my trumpet acceptably, but he under-estimated $10 short of double the price I paid. Less than two weeks later, an Issue similar to the one I had repaired manifested due to allignment issues. If you need a mouthpiece removed, though, he’ll do that!
I took my step daughters trumpet to be repaired there are they weren’t very direct on giving me a quote for the repairs. I ended up driving further to Music and Arts and they were very helpful and direct with their pricing. Not a big fan of this place but it’s ok if you need something in a pinch.
I called to inquire about the price of cleaning a trombone and did not have a pleasant experience. When I expressed sticker shock at the price, the owner, Mr. Robert became defensive and rude. I have not had to have an instrument cleaned and was unaware of the cost. I called around to other businesses and received a little better pricing and a much better attitude.
Very overpriced. When I went in there to buy a Hercules Saxophone stand, the price was $62.99. I ended up buying and realized later that it was cheaper online for an average of $45. I went back to try and return it but he refused to refund my money. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. HE IS TRYING TO RIP YOU OFF, DO NOT BUY HERE. You are better off shopping for it online.
I have been waiting over there weeks for a simple repair, would strongly not recommend you go here for repairs!
16. Kevin’s Musicians Superstore
Address: 5225 Lenox Ave, Jacksonville, FL 32205 , Nocatee , Florida , United States
Always buy local, folks. I’m a 20 year resident of Jax but a newer guitarist. I’ve only been shopping the big box stores. This place blows those guys out of the water. Amazing selection of Electric and acoustic guitars. This guy has every amplifier under the sun. I bought a new amp today for cheaper than guitar center or any price I could find online. The owner is super chill. If you are a musician in Jax or the surrounding area this place is well worth the trip. If I could give a 6-star review I would.
Great people very knowledgeable been using them for years
Great service, helpful, attentive, knowledgeable. I was here local for wireless mic, they gave me advise as what to buy as well as how to care for what I had bought. I’m thankful we still have local stores with a person able to provide service. I came here after buying one on Amazon that ended up being wrong. Buy here instead of Amazon as you’ll see and know what you’re buying plus great service and guarantee.
Nice place with plenty of guitars and accessories for them. Not much of anything else but the guy working there seemed friendly and knowledgeable.
Worst shopping experience. I felt like I was invisible yet I was the only customer in the store. I expected a small business to be very warm and inviting however I did not get that feeling. Upon walking in I noticed I was the only customer, so I stood there watching four employees talk amongst themselves. Not one of them said hello or asked me if I needed help. When I approached them I asked where drumsticks were and they pointed and said, “over there.” When I finally made my purchase the employee did not say “thank you for coming in”, or “come back and see us”, so I guess I won’t. George’s Music will be my music store from now on.
Its a cramped little store, however they are very kind.as well as helpfull
I was really rushed the first time. And I purchased sound system now I am happy with it
Very disappointed in the employees attitude. We are lifelong friends of Kevin that passed away and we felt like we were treated like we weren’t welcome there. We will never go back.Kevin would be very disappointed in the way the “family member”treated us. I just hope that she isn’t that rude with all her customers. Kevin would never treat his customers like she did. Really sad
Just to high in this place i would not tell my family about this place it’s just to much money a person has to spend in there…… just a big old rip off
17. Clark’s Music Center
Address: 4154 Herschel St, Jacksonville, FL 32210 , Nocatee , Florida , United States
Clark is a gentleman to deal with. I bought a snare drum from him at a good deal and I’m very happy with it. Thank you Clark.
I have always liked dealing with Clark’s Music. Always friendly, read to offer guidance and the new place is just right.
I brought my ‘74 Gibson SG in because I thought the pickup toggle switch had gone bad and needed to be replaced.
Clark took a look at it and was honest with me and let me know it just needed to be greased and slightly adjusted. It was done and ready to be picked up in less than an hour of being dropped off.
His professionalism and honesty has earned my trust and I plan on using Clark’s Music for all of my future guitar repair needs and gear purchases. Highly recommended!
Dealing with the owner’s loud mouthed wife was nothing more than a big fat waste of me and my family’s time today.
Obviously from My approach I went and asked if they buy guitars they said Nonchalantly that they wasn’t That enough that they are receiving a big shipment in but they were buying something similar from a white couple this may not be what it look like it was I do not know I just know the website says they buy guitars and they refuse me almost immediately when I came in the door
Agnes has been a spectacular piano teacher for my teenage daughter. She is patient, friendly and knowledgeable. She recognizes students ability and knows how to improve on that ability. Couldn’t have asked for a better instructor!
Michael is a master teacher. I study organ with him and in addition to being extremely knowledgeable and and an accomplished performer, he is also patient, generous, and passionate about helping others grow in their musicianship. I cannot recommend him enough as a teacher.
We absolutely LOVE Giuliani Music! Mrs. Agnes is such a wonderful instructor. She knows how to get on the level of the student and really make them understand what she is wanting them to do. She does not move on until she knows they understand. She has such a wonderful way of makimg the student feel comfortable to ask questions and have an open dialogue. Wish I had more than 5 stars to give!
