Tim, and his team are incredibly professional and helpful. I look forward to many encounters with them. They are incredibly knowledgeable, and will continue to support this organization!

I love their products services and custom builds! Like no other I know.
Have purchased multiple wireless DMX lights from this company and have had them for years. Always fast to answer any questions, great product and good people. Never had any issues and our lights have since been upgraded by them and we’ve had them for over 10 years now.
I called up Jim at Colorado Sound N’ Light to assist with a malfunctioning Uplight that I had bought second-hand. Jim helped me troubleshoot the issue over the phone and then sent me the replacement part in the mail free of charge. Exceptional service! Would highly recommend them to anyone!
5. Castle Rock Music
Address: 429 Wilcox St, Castle Rock, CO 80104, United States , Elbert County , Colorado , United States
Awesome service. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Little pricey tho
Very friendly and informative. Great service!
Great place for repair! I brought in my violin and guitar for a couple of minor fixes. They fixed it within a very reasonable time. I’ve bought a couple of adapters and cables. Very nice customer service. They made sure that I was satisfied with the service before I left. They called me or texted me to tell me that my instruments were ready. Overall, great service and great people!
Singing lessons for our daughter is wonderful. The process is good, prices are acceptable, and the venue is nice.
The shop itself is cute and quaint, but the selection is only very low end. Nothing of value at all. Not even cheap name brand equipment, but just low end non-name brand stuff. No biggie I guess, and I’m sure their selection is ideal for what they’re going for, but you would think at least one Fender or Les Paul would be in there. Haha! Nope. I’m speaking about guitar/bass/amp selection.
Overall, a good place and great for kids or first time people.
It says castle rock band store but it’s more of a Guitar store there’s no other instruments.
I don’t see why many people are giving this place bad reviews, as I have good experience with it. I take guitar lessons here and the mentors are nice. I do feel a tinge of hostility towards me from the front desk workers, but they do seem approachable. I’ve never gone through a repair before with them, but that’s because I’ve never broken a guitar. If it weren’t from the tiny bit of hostility from the workers I would’ve given this place a five, in my experience and work with them.
Rude staff who act as though you should know everything they know. Sad they have no competition in Castle Rock. TOTALLY lacks customer empathy!
One of my students took his trumpet to be repaired there because it wasn’t actually changing notes, no clue what work they charged for, but they somehow missed the giant crack in the lead pipe! Not impressed at all.
I’ve only been there once to get cork grease, quick easy purchase (reason for two stars instead of one).
Took my mandolin in for a relatively simple repair several months ago. Picking it up today because they are too incompetent to fix it… or call us and provide us with that information.
6. Allegro Music
Address: 11475 Twenty Mile Rd Suite A, Parker, CO 80134, United States , Elbert County , Colorado , United States
Got some marching sticks and set of cymbals for my drum set a while ago. Amazing people and a really cool store. Can’t wait to go back in whenever I have more musical needs!
EDIT: I recently bought a Teton Ukulele from Allegro and I again have to iterate that they are amazing. They are always happy to help you (Ewan is my go to man, he is amazing) and it always beats big sellers like Guitar Center. The only downside is selection, but it makes sense. If you are looking for something in a time crunch and they don’t have it, look elsewhere. BUT, if you can wait a week or so for something they don’t have in stock, they can order it for you and get you some good prices for it.
Guys are dope Awesome culture, high vibes
Fantastic music shop Two guys were in there working. So very helpful. I shopped the stores and net before heading out. Allegro music has great prices
Idk its neat and my teacher is cool
Good place to buy musical instruments. Very helpful staff
If there is an negative star I will definitely rate this shop. We rent two cellos for our kids for 9 months with their rent-to-own program, we had been told that we can use the rental equity purchase ANY music instruments. However, when we returned them the staff told us our equity should be used on those rental/used musical instrument, if we want to use them on something different, they will take 25% from our equity and they also sell us those musical instruments $100 more. I went to the store three times and every time I got different explanation on their policy. Can you imagine they sell an $500 used Yamaha student flute which costs only $200 on amazon? And an ukulele for $145? Come on! We paid about $900 rental just thought we can get something interesting for our kids when we return but it ends up we just got 2 cheap Yamaha junior guitars which Allegro charged $250 each (only costs $135 on amazon). Highly recommend those who plan to rent musical instruments from them to get an used one from Craigslist or Facebook marketplace.
Update 6/24/19
You are very welcome to post the policy I signed here, if there is any. If you told customer the equity can be used for “rent to own”, I don’t understand what is the issue when we really want to buy some instruments. The problem is you guys keep changing the words you say to your customer. You literally want to throw an used Yamaha 220 student flute to us for about $500, which the a brand new newer model costs only $480 on amazon, that’s a rip-off! And come on, we both know what quality your cello are, those just basic student cello which you can find the new one in amazon $250 each.
To those who want to rend musical instruments from Allegro, I suggest you do some research first on Facebook marketplace or Amazon, unless you do not care how much you paid. Their “rent-to-own” program will sell over-priced instruments to customers when they want to use the equity.
We are looking for a viola and came to your store today to purchase one. We walked in and there was 1 person in front of us and 2 others walked in behind us. We waited over 20 minutes as your worker kept helping everyone else that walked in behind us. Needless to say you guys just lost the purchase of upwards to $1,000. Too bad because you guys have some really nice looking Violas from the shelf.
My son dropped his guitar off over two weeks ago to get fixed and they never even pulled it out of the bag to fix it. They lost the paper work and we’re worthless at customer service! My son had to find his own guitar in the mess and nothing had been done to it. Never getting our business again ( actually didn’t have to pay because they didn’t touch it) and I’ll tell everyone they are horrible.
7. Meeker Music
Address: 3604 Hartsel Dr Unit E, Colorado Springs, CO 80920, United States , Elbert County , Colorado , United States
So easy to rent school interment. Reasonably priced for rental too!
One of the few remaining non-mega-chain shops for musical instruments and supplies. Knowledgeable and helpful staff.
Fun place to visit
Great for beginners. Not a pro shop by any means.
Smaller store but pretty knowledgeable and helpful for the novice musicians. Reasonably priced accessories.
Great customer service
They have very reasonable prices that’s not the issue at all, I walked in and literally before the door closed behind me the older woman says “what can I help you with”! Did I have something in mind I wanted to buy? Yes I did. I’ve never been in this store and I wanted to look around before purchasing my strings and picks. It would have been nice to have been greeted and asked if I needed help finding something and to take my time and look around rather than being rushed to inform this lady why I was in the store. After this experience I think I’ll just stick to guitar center.
I walked in looking for a drum set and the sales clerk just stared at me until I said hello and greeted her. Unwelcoming and unhelpful. The clerk looked like she had just rolled out of bed and had nothing helpful to say. She whispered to another clerk in the store which would have been much less awkward if there had been any music playing in the store whatsoever. Very disappointed
Guy on the phone was rude and very unhelpful. I asked to speak to someone in repair but he would not transfer me!
I’m so happy with my flute. It has not been looked at for 40 years, and it plays like new! Very professional and good workmanship.
This is a FANTASTIC shop. It’s family owned and operated, the service is great, and the staff maintains excellent communication throughout the process. I’m very picky when selecting a vendor for instrument purchases, and I can’t recommend CIOMIT enough.
Top notch! I’m so glad to have discovered this place. The guy who helped me really took his time to diagnose the issue and come up with a cost effective way to have our oboe fixed. Even though it was near closing time, I didn’t feel rushed and he was kind and fun to talk to. This is definitely going to become my go-to place for instrument issues even though it’s quite a drive out for us, worth it!
I went in to get a sticky valve fixed on my trumpet, while the first time the issue was not understood and it was only cleaned I brought it back and re did it, now it’s playing like a dream!
The team at CIOMIT has taken great care of all of our brass instruments. My daughter’s trumpets needed some TLC after we acquired them, now they are in tip top shape. My French horn needed some cleaning and some slides unstuck, after I got it back from CIOMIT everything is working well.
Very knowledgable place and trustworthy. We drive all the way from Aurora to have them work on our instraments. They are also reasonably priced.
Do not rent from this place! Returned the instrument 6 months ago, they are still charging my credit card. Worst customer service I have ever seen in the state of Colorado.
I took my flute in, not only did they not bash on the flute but they made the flute worse. Now I have to get about $1,000 worth of work on it done. They striped the corkscrew and did not put the pads back in alignment, so now it is harder to play.
This place is awful. Purchased a flute from a Craigslist posting. Flute doesn’t fit my needs. Attempted to return flute in less than a day and they will not refund me my money.
They never said all sales final. Do not go here. They are shady. The guy Brad sold me the flute for cash to avoid taxes on it.
Be cautious. They may buy insufficient product to replace your expensive equipment.
The employees were very friendly and I found what I needed quickly.
Helped me set up my first piano
Really nice little store with many price points for guitars and other instruments. Will was a huge help. He was polite,
friendly, knowledgeable. I will differently do my business here. Will took the time to answer my questions. If you need to rent an instrument for school or buy one this is your place. They also offer
music lessons and clinics. A+
Large selection very helpful staff and you can even get free guitar lessons different days of the week
2nd Update- they refunded all the missed lessons and the lady I worked with, Erin, couldn’t have been nicer. I just feel like this shouldn’t have happened in the first place. I still caution readers to watch your bill closely. Document any missed lessons and if you don’t do a make up lesson, make sure you get a credit.
Update – after 4 months of lessons, I am not very happy with this place. The teacher seems fine but they are less than honest with their book keeping. The teacher has had to cancel several times, we had a snow day and we had to cancel once. We didn’t receive any of the 5 credits due to us. I had to call and alert them to this issue. I am now waiting a resolution. However, it makes me wonder how many other people they’ve done this to and how much extra money they make this way. I’m very disappointed. If you take lessons here or are considering it, check your bill closely every month.
I have a child taking lessons here. It’s ok but nothing special. My older child took lessons at a different place and it was a much better experience. If you’re looking for instruments, they have a very small selection. Mostly guitars and a few keyboards. I can’t pinpoint anything wrong, it’s just not the friendliest place. When they didnt have the lesson book the teacher told me to get, they didnt even offer to order it or tell me where I could get it.
Not the most variety, but an amazing music store, the people are always welcoming, and something for almost every instrument
Very unwelcoming environment. The manager Erin, clearly didn’t want to be there, and she wasn’t musically knowledgeable in the slightest. I went in looking too drop $700+ on a new acoustic setup for studio sessions only. Erin’s lack of knowledge and unfriendly vibe (especially as manager) made her lose a high sale. I don’t like window shopping, so I still purchased a $120 midi so the store could make a sale. Although even during the sale Erin was so off-putting through a customer service prospective!
I won’t be back there anytime soon!
Poor customer service and lack of musical knowledge, I’ll say it again and again.
Go somewhere else.
My recent experience with Music and Arts was not very pleasent, they came to canon city to sell books and instruments to student and teachers in band across canon city, I walk in to where I was told along with the rest of the canon schools that they’d be ready at 5:30 when I went in they were not ready and we’re not polite when telling me that they weren’t ready they were also rude when we were confused at the price if the book because I was told it would be $5 just like last year, I hope you can understand why I am not happy.
Unknowledgeable in pricing. Was told deposit was required with 2 or more instruments, ok that’s fine. Have been in contact with the 888 number to make payments and what not. Call to make a payment today, one is in collections. They are under 2 separate accounts, so I have only been paying on one instrument. Ask the 800 number why I had a deposit for 2 or more instruments if they are separate accounts anyway. I was informed that deposit is just based on customer. According to reviews this location loves to lie. Very displeased with my experience with music and arts. I will most definitely be checking my other options out next year. This has been a nightmare.
14. Music Go Round Aurora
Address: 18541 E Hampden Ave #128, Aurora, CO 80013, United States , Elbert County , Colorado , United States
This is the best place in town. Everyone there is extremely helpful and will help you with whatever you need.
I ordered a used guitar amp through Music Go Round. After searching Reverb and Ebay, Music Go Round had the best price. It was shipped with 2 day shipping, and I was very pleased with the packing job for the amp. I ordered it Tuesday afternoon, and it was on my porch Friday afternoon. The condition matched the description which is also a huge deal. Will definitely check Music Go Round for future purchases.
I’ve upgraded my Yamaha FG730s with a Martin Thinline under saddle pickup. I’ve very impressed about the workmanship. Very clean and professional installation. Well balanced and sounds great. I recommend this place for pickup installation.
Great helpful people!
I bought a Epiphone 335 guitar on 12/7/20 from Guitar Center, but the case was on back order. I waited a month to find out that it was pushed out again till June 2021. Fed up, i googled music stores and called this one. Visited today with my guitar, and I found/purchased a great case for a fair price. Staff was friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely come back! Highly recommend!
Didn’t have what I was looking for, but very polite.
Went in here to pick up a keyboard stand a bench. My 6yo daughter picked up a $5 recorder and was looking at it while we were shopping around, I also found a guitar I’ve wanted for 20 years! It was used and cheaper than I’ve seen so I got on my phone and transferred enough money to buy it. ($800.00 takamine gb7c) while I was on the phone they came over and let us know that since my daughter tried to play the recorder we have to buy it now. So I bought the recorder and left. Instead of a $800 sale they got a $5 sale. Extremely bad business practice. I understand they don’t want kids putting these things in their mouth but how about putting them where kids can’t reach them or instead of watching us walk around the whole time waiting for her to do it (cause all kids will) say something when she picked it up. Last $5 you’ll get from me! And just so the employees know I found the same guitar new at guitar center for $150 more and when I told them this story they matched your price! I run a business close by and I intend to push as much business away as I can. Horrible people! Forcing people to buy stuff for their kids doing something you know they are going to and doing nothing to prevent it is the same as theft in my book. Get these crooks out of the neighborhood!
Low quality music store. Staff is not helpful. Won’t ship to former local who is now out of state and won’t allow a friend to pickup for them after purchase. Pawn law or not, there are ways to help people out if you are willing.
The staff is extremely snobby, stuck up and unhelpful, not to mention everything is way overpriced for the value the instruments maintain. Don’t recommend going here!
Ryan is one of the few guys I’ve come across online who is able to deconstruct and reverse engineer some of the biggest electronic artists around. All in the box too which is really impressive. His new preset pack is high quality. I totally recommend it.
I purchased the Serum RED preset pack and love it. I am a huge fan of Deadmau5 and always have tried to recreate his sounds. I would consider Ryan a professional sound designer, and I am grateful that he released this pack full of sounds I have only attempted to recreate. I would highly recommend anything Ryan does!

Address: 311 Third St, Castle Rock, CO 80104, United States , Elbert County , Colorado , United States
Couldn’t be any more pleased. Great selection and greater service.
Great selection. Very personable owner
Sweet little shop
Great used selection.
Cute ma and pa vibes, a good selection of what you would hear on the radio, but nothing more “under grown” but does the job and full of nice kind people
It’s a cool little record store in Castle Rock. I stop by here every time I get a chance and I always find something for a decent price. Smelled strongly of incense the last time I went, but not overpoweringly.
17. Music & Arts
Address: 8475 S Yosemite St Suite B, Lone Tree, CO 80124, United States , Elbert County , Colorado , United States
Nice little store.. knowledgeable and friendly.. As a novice to this, I was impressed. I will definitely do business here.
Every time I walk in I always feel welcomed and the employees are always amazing:) highly recommend
Got my guitar here manager was super nice and understood what I wanted and helped me in every way she could
Good selection of musical gear, instruments, some sheet music, and other necessities. The rental prices are high – the markup on their instruments is, too- but overall it’s a good store with a friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Your one stop shop whether you want to buy or rent or repair musical instruments. They have friendly staff with reliable service and they do have branches at many places in Colorado
Very limited options. Good for beginner or any starter . Cheaper instruments and cheap music stand. Not recommended for intermediate or professional needs :/
I rented a trumpet for my daughter and as I was returning it, one of the workers said that I could get a hundred dollars credit for a different instrument. I told her that I would wait until my kids were out of school so they could pick which instrument they wanted. Last Thursday, I went in with my kids to return the trumpet and find a new instrument. I gave the trumpet to the man at the cashier, expecting him to complete the process with the credit opportunity. Without a word, he returned the trumpet without mentioning the credit opportunity. When I asked about it, he said “Sorry I already returned it. I can’t do anything about it.” This employee scammed me, and his response was a pathetic excuse of an apology. I am incredibly disappointed. If I could give zero stars, I would.
Helpful staff, but totally under staffed. If you roll in expect a huge line and pack a lunch. It is a very poor experience.
Very poor experience with lessons. Tried to cancel lessons because we were traveling for the holidays. We missed 3 of 4 lessons before they called and asked why we weren’t coming. We had originally planned on continuing our lessons, but after multiple refusals to work with us (saying “you signed the contract and there’s nothing we can do”) by staff and manager, that’s not going to happen. I wasn’t expecting much as they are technically correct – we did sign, but didn’t understand the auto renewal policy. They can do better, and should.
18. Square Music Company
Address: 2332 Vickers Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80918, United States , Elbert County , Colorado , United States
Cordel was amazing, brought my D’angelico in because the action was messed up. He had my guitar working in no time. Definitely using them as my guitar maintenance shop.
My daughter acquired a unique electric guitar that needed to be re-strung. Cordell was so informative a helpful. We were able to get the guitar repaired and also purchased a small amp. I highly recommend doing business with Square Music Company for honest, friendly and prompt service.
Square Music is a great music and repair shop for musicians AND Music Therapists in the Springs area! Cordell has helped repair my guitar by leveling the fret boards, as well as helped add a peg to my ukulele to make the playing experience better for my music therapy clients. The turnaround times for repairs are quick and the rates are reasonable. Check them out if you haven’t already!
P.S. They also offer Music Therapy Services and instrument lessons.
Dead business. No one answered the door, or phone during normal business hours. Would have liked to drop some $$$ on a local business, but I guess I’ll go to another major retailer.

I absolutely adore working with Mike. He went above and beyond for our band and has a very fun atmosphere that makes recording very easy and fun, definitely one of my top choices. Plus he does live drums, who doesn’t love that ?
Where is the 10 star ⭐️ Option? This man is a genius! Easy to work with and gets the right sound out of you, how could you not want to work with him!?
