Very helpful staff. Found just what I was looking for!
Very helpful and friendly staff!
Wonderful store
Nice staff! Nice instruments, some violins, chellos, stingray basses, music courses. Very nice music store
Appears to be primarily focused on school music.
This low rating is not a reflection of the Kirkwood Highway store personnel but rather Music & Arts Corporate and their “customer service”. We have been a customer of the store for years including lessons, instrument purchases and instrument service and repair. Everyone we’ve ever dealt with IN THE STORE has been lovely, helpful and knowledgeable. At the beginning of the summer we signed up for weekly lessons for half of June plus July and August in preparation for marching band season. I cancelled, in store, (on August 13th)our weekly lesson effective end of August and specifically requested that the auto debit be cancelled effective immediately as we had already paid for August. In spite of that we were charged for lessons for the month of September. I called the store immediately and was told they had cancelled the lessons on their end but were experiencing issues with a new company-wide system. They put through a request for a refund that day. After a week I called the store again and told them the money had not been refunded. They assured me it had been reported to corporate and that was all they could do from their end. Today I called the corporate number and experienced the worst possible customer service. The woman was cranky and short with me right off the bat and would only tell me that a refund would take 4 weeks. When I asked why she said, “that’s our policy”. She had not bothered to ask my name, my location or any dates. When I requested confirmation that the refund was in process she reluctantly took my information and treated me like I had interrupted her lunch break. And then, she told me she couldn’t tell me anything, had no idea if my refund request had been made, told me to wait 4 weeks and call back. When I said that wasn’t a good enough answer she told me I’d have to call the store. So, total waste of time, including the 15 minute wait on hold. I did call the store back and though they were apologetic they could not do much as they have no control over the refund process. Kevin, the store manager, took all my info again and said he would email the lesson coordinator and his district manager and would let me know if he had any further information. I understand this has happened to a number of customers which is outrageous. In this day and age how can a large corporation not be able to timely cancel an auto deduction or at least have a system to log refund requests and be able to tell you if the request has been received? Further, why the hell would it take 4 weeks to refund my money? Absolutely unacceptable. I can’t imagine we would deal with Music & Arts again and certainly would not recommend the company which is a shame because the employees and teachers are great. Seriously, who wants to deal with illegitimate automatic deductions from your bank account???For that matter who wants to loan M & A’s $150. (interest free) for a month at a time??? Imagine if you had 2 or 3 students and were out $300-400 for that amount of time?!? Ridiculous!
DO NOT USE THIS AWFUL COMPANY!!!! If I could give this business 0 stars I would. I have never used this company before, and decided I would due to them being a close location to my house and them stating they had the product I wanted in stock, which was supposed to be a Christmas gift. I paid extra for shipping and was told the product would arrive to my house in two days. The product never came so I called and they told me it would arrive Christmas Eve. It never arrived on Christmas Eve, so I called again, suddenly it isn’t available until January 19th.
THIS COMPANY CHARGED ME TWICE FOR THE SAME PRODUCT AT THIS POINT !!! I have spoken to multiple people, sent proof of the double charge, and they are refusing to refund the second charge! This company is a disgrace. I would HIGHLY recommend using ANY other company.
Terrible service. My girlfriend takes her son here for guitar and the teacher stood them up 5 different times and they didn’t reimburse her for 3 of those 5 classes. There staff told her son not to attend the class on 12/21/18 and his mother called to confirm this and the staff member failed to contact her back and when the teacher showed up to teach the lesson he decided he was not going to refund the lesson. When I say stood them up 5 times I’m not saying he called them 20 minutes before and said hey I can’t make it. I’m talking about them driving 45 minutes away just to find out the guy isn’t even there and failed to tell anyone. Is this good customer service? Is this fair ? You charge people 30 dollars for a half an hour and you don’t even show up?

Great experience, the dude Ronny knows what he’s talking abt and knows how to find the product you want. He was patient and really obviously cared abt making.me happy. Great staff
Ronnie’s the man hooks my geetar up just fine
Cool spot. Decent selection of various instruments. Has 13 practice rooms but unfortunately are not allowed for lessons due to the current pandemic. Either way definitely worth checking out; staff was very helpful!
Nice instrument’s, specially warwick basses. Some good Boss pedals, one guy part of the staff not too nice though. They could do better receiving customers. Closing the doors of the music school on your face doesn’t seem like a charming or effective welcoming strategy.
Great place sat 3pm was crowded and they only had one staff so longer then normal for service.
Nothing to write home about, but I did have a nice conversation with two of the guys that worked there and they shared some interesting insights on the manufacturing sales evolution over time, as well as dealing with other countries for business transactions.
They tend to charge list price, but will usually come down to comparable prices if you argue with them. They frequently don’t have what I’m looking for, but they get 2 stars for a total lack of other options in Delaware. Better off driving to the larger competitors in Cherry Hill, NJ.
Selection is pretty low for almost everything. If you need a starter instrument, lessons, or basic supplies then look no further.
Called up with interest of purchasing a 3K-4K guitar they had online. Was willing to buy immediately. They were rude, short, and unorganized and actually acted like they didn’t have time to discuss it). I’m glad I didn’t purchase or move forward. You would think if someone was in the business of selling guitars for a living that a purchase “that large” would take priority over …I don’t know, selling $10 Ernie Ball Strings? or music CD’s.
Claimed they were ESP vendor, yet weren’t on the approved list (this info is available on ESP’s site). Wouldn’t send images of guitar close ups either (as opposed to hard to see online thumbnail). Red flags all point to some questionable practices going on here. Would recommend buyers to look elsewhere, and not take a chance with your $ here – too many fakes online, and sketchy practices – lots of legitimate guitar buying systems online as alternatives. Just because a seller has a web page, doesn’t mean that the purchase is legit . If you are checking reviews before purchase, then I am saving you time, money, and hassle – nothing to see here – move on!

Purchased a pair of klipsch chorus loudspeakers from here, retired from playing in the store. Sound absolutely amazing and got them for a steal. Rich, the owner, also recommended a few records which I have not been able to stop playing! Prices are mid-range, but vinyl quality and assortment is outstanding. Shop has a very relaxed atmosphere and even has a lounge area and places where shoppers can demo records before purchasing. Will be visiting again!
Rich is the man! Great shop with an awesome selection and really nice atmosphere. I found a 1st pressing of Midlake’s 2nd album The Trials of Van Occupanther and a mono press of the Incredible String Band’s The 5,000 Spirits or the Layers of the Onion at a great price. Rich also recommended an incredible soul record by Durand Jones & the Indications that did not disappoint. SqueezeBox is hands down the best record shop in Delaware. Hats off to Rich.
Nice selection of new and used vinyl. They have everything you could be looking for. The budget section is definitely worth the look. Mattie was helpful and it was nice dealing with him. I’ll be back when I get back to Delaware.
Great selection of music and used stereo equipment ! Very friendly and professional wish it was bigger
Good service, good selection, and good quality vinyls
Very nice selection, good tunes on.
Wasted trip. Called a few days ago about servicing a turntable. Gentleman said a $50 fee if they have to send out. Showed up today and although worker had awesome attitude, all answers were “I don’t know” “I’m not sure”. In fact, she apologized for “sounding unprofessional”. Then asked about purchasing a speaker, but she couldn’t help with that either. Very dissatisfied.

Got a great piano at a reasonable price! Everyone has been so easy to work with.
Incredibly knowledgeable, honest and helpful. Thankful for Bruce, the Rinaldi’s, and everyone at Jacobs for helping me to select these beautiful pianos for my studio. I would recommend Jacobs to all of my students and anyone else as well!
Bruce Cohen provided highly
knowledgeable and practical service, resulting in the purchase of a fantastic Boston grand piano!
Less than pleasant staff
Just in there and the man working was incredibly rude. Would never buy a piano from here.

Lots to look at and allowed to play any instrument no matter price. Sales personnel very helpful and not pushy.
Hay de todo en cuanto la música y variedades de marcas y precios. Se puede probar el instrumento, el equipo. Son servicial y prestos para ayudar
Decent inventory. If you can work with a sales person, they are knowledgeable.
Place is big inside but very disorganized in management. They are super nice but when it came down to scheduling classes it was just one thing after another. Really disappointed.
Mostly friendly staff, but things often in disarray
Didn’t get any love when I came to this store on Friday, Feb. 22nd 2019. Was specifically looking for an item (won’t mention) that my kid would like to have and upon looking at the GC website it was noted that the item was in stock in this store only. The store wasn’t crowded that time, and about half of customers are out checking out the many instruments. Approached a gentleman who was manning the counter and he was courteous. Told him about what I was looking for and since he said he’s ringing another customer he asked his other associate who I can’t tell if he’s tuning out a guitar for someone, or that guitar was being prepared for display, or he was just tooling around. Showed him the item in the website including the note that it was available in their store. But all I got was a standard “if it’s here, it’s here and I guess you just have to find it. If I can’t then he’d be happy to order it online and have me pick it up when it’s available.” But I was already there! And if only this guy would drop his guitar for a couple of minutes and help me out then I’d be on my own merry way. Instead, I tried to find it myself and when I couldn’t, just walked away. I guess I just unfortunately dealt with someone in the store who doesn’t want to be bothered. Just sad.
Was looking for a keyboard, asked for help and no one would. Went to b&n instead
It’s the Only music Store close by so If I need something quick or want to look at it before I buy it somewhere else, or online I go there. The older employees are cool and helpful but there is just something off about Guitar Center in general. Also the store itself is disgustingly gross and dirty ! Nasty, I don’t understand it. No decent management I guess.
