Great super professional Highly recommended A+++++Love my little amp !
I found some great new and used equipment at TMR, and I’m very pleased with their service and support. NIck Lucini is fantastic resource with a wealth of knowledge, no matter how simple or esoteric your question. TMR’s pricing is fair, their shipping is safe and speedy, and customer satisfaction is a priority. Thank you Nick and TMR! Shop with confidence: highly recommended.
Veryvery nice service! I will buy from you guys again! Thank you Adrienne once again! She is very very helpful! Very appreciated!
I purchased a used Rega turntable from The Music Room that was packaged as a Rega P6, and cartridge, and a Rega NEO PSU. It was advertised as tested and fully functional. When it arrived, the turntable was turning exactly 20% too fast, which i discovered meant there was a mismatch between the power supply and table (one was 50hz, the other 60hz). The power supply costs over $400 new, and The Music Room refused to send a new one, despite the fact that this table had clearly NOT been tested, and was falsely advertised as fully functional. The offered me either a return, or a $100 credit. Buy used equipment with caution, as they clearly don’t actually test it at all.
Be careful dealing here, I had a VERY poor experience and would not recommend them
Probably the worst customer service available through any audio retailer. Really that bad. Well , what else would one expect from a company operating out of a spruced up farm building. Must have been a pig farming operation at one time. As the manner and approach of the sales people there are pure and utterly profit driven ……..after the pork and good luck to you if any post sales problems come up. There are much much better audio retailer companies to deal with ……….virtually all others to be perfectly honest. Save yourself the shoddy customer service not to mention the dubious quality of their used products ( be careful in this respect….as this company will attempt to sell anything)….All comments can be verified and substantiated. In any event, if The Music Room was so good at what they do as they claim ad nauseam…..why would they have to sell on ebay ?. That alone speaks for itself.
2. Lenny The Heart Glasses, Contact, Shows + MORE!
We have joined CMA just a few months ago, but absolutely love the entire concept. Parents get to learn alongside their children and are thus much better equipped to help them learn at home! Mrs. Alicia is the best! She provides a perfect mix of music theory, rhythm, dance, movement, singing, and of course, learning the keyboard.
We have two children in the program, and I’m constantly amazed at how much they have learned! Not only that but they have developed a love for music as well! Thank you CMA!
My boys started Piano Lessons with Pamela about three and half years ago and one of my boy already playing pieces from Chopin. Pamela is an absolutely wonderful piano teacher. She is fun, patient, flexible and understanding. I am very satisfied with her teaching. I highly recommend her.
1 hour classes with kids during school year and kids have a lot of fun.
Dave has played the Golden Bee for 12 years, and always gives everything he’s got, a true pro!
Dave is amazing and I would highly recommend him for all types of events! Kept the crowd exceedingly entertained with amazing high energy and songs for everyone young and old! My first pick for a definite crowd pleaser!
Dave is an incredibly talented musician and entertainer. I would highly suggest him for any event requiring live piano.
10. Cristos Coffee Boutique Roastery & Cafe
Address: 149 S Briggs St, Erie, CO 80516 , Erie , Colorado , United States
Christos is a wonderful family business. The environment is friendly and comfortable and I enjoy coffee there weekly with friends. They make an awesome almond milk latte. They keep the space super clean, the tables are spread out so guests aren’t crammed. Employees are always wearing masks and they make sure to provide an inviting atmosphere. It’s so nice to have a great local business so close.
The drinks are pretty good, the staff is engaging and pleasant, and the atmosphere is nice. It’s a tad more expensive than I thought it would be, but my biggest complaint is that their punch card is a punch per visit, not per drink. This is a genuine deterrent for me, since I like to get drinks for friends and family, and it doesn’t matter if I get 1 drink or 6, I still only get one punch. Don’t be cheap, guys, it isn’t becoming.
I like the ambience but the tables were dirty when I last visited. Probably they could put efforts into cleanliness.
Great atmosphere and always busy with locals meeting or hanging out. I want to love this place so badly, but unfortunately the baristas aren’t very friendly and just don’t seem to listen. The monthly rotation of drinks is a fun addition to my visits, but they are extremely sweet with 4+ pumps of sweetener for a medium drink. Often I ask for it to be half sweet and then notice the barista didn’t write that on the cup, so it didn’t happen, and now I am dissatisfied with my drink. It’s frustrating that such a small lack of communication brings the experience down so significantly.
Wear a mask!
Same poor customer service experience as many others. Line out the door. Three employees working. I don’t know who the blonde is that has been there for years but she’s always too busy flirting with customers to pitch in. She was too busy describing her gym routine to a customer to help get the line served.
latte was great but cashier was not wearing a mask. my breakfast burrito would have been tasty if it weren’t ice cold in the center, which I fault to the huge egg chunks.
11. Lafayette Music
Address: 1361 Forest Park Cir #106, Lafayette, CO 80026 , Erie , Colorado , United States
Specialized store focusing on educational music needs in the way of instrument rentals and supplies. Very individualized service over the years.
Took my trumpet in to get fixed up after sitting in my closet for about a decade and the trumpet looks brand new! This place did great
Local, friendly, helpful
Nice people. Good prices. Better instruments would be nice.
Not bad for the only music store in Lafayette
Very wide variety of sheet music and instruments. The new location is a little tight, but it’s nice to still have them around.
I hate giving bad reviews of local music stores, but in this case I have to. The sales staff was very helpful but a white haired woman whom I suspect is the owner, came over and insulted me twice. The second time she insisted I stop looking at the mouthpieces in the cabinet and look at them online instead. Earlier she had insinuated that I needed an employee to closely observe me, because of fear of theft. What a horrible customer experience. I’ll never go back, and if you’re so eager for me to “go online” then I’ll buy from a company that is not asking unrealistically high prices. Don’t waste your time, or make the drive to Boulder instead.
I can not believe the level of disrespect I received by attempting to shop in your store. You really should pack up and move out of town. You are only here to exploit the student musicians without supporting the actual musical community. The musicians in this community deserve a much better experience than that which is received from your failing business. Horrible!! So much for supporting local business. You should feel shame.
Wide selection of instruments and sheet music, not that they let you look at any of it anyway. The whole experience made me feel very uncomfortable. The sales clerk followed me around and watched me like a hawk the entire time, I didn’t feel comfortable to browse the sheet music in peace. I also wanted to rent an instrument and the sales clerk seemed annoyed that I wanted to look at more than one instrument. It felt like he was trying to get me out of there as quickly as possible. If my business is such an inconvenience for you, maybe just close up shop. Owner also refused to wear a mask and walked around the store coughing everywhere. Use hand sanitizer after touching anything
12. Northland Violins
Address: 103 N Public Rd suite A, Lafayette, CO 80026 , Erie , Colorado , United States
Great rental program, repairs, and knowledgeable staff.
Rented, and later purchased, a high quality cello from Northland. Quickly turned around repairs so we’d have the cello back w/in a day. Would highly recommend.
Great service, professional communication, works great with public schools!
I cannot say enough great things about the staff at Guitar Hut. The staff is outstanding and the instructors are excellent. My son has been taking lessons there and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone. A+ all around
Great guitar shop with a laid-back vibe and helpful staff!
My guitar was bent out of shape and was difficult to play until I picked it up today…now it plays like a charm and I couldn’t be happier! Evan did a fantastic job setting up my Les Paul; feels good to play a properly tuned guitar. And thanks, Tom, for the lesson info! I’ll be seeing you guys soon!
I had these guys take a look at a signature bass of mine. It had some electrical problems going on with it that were a bit out of their knowledge base but Evan is great guy. Very honest and very hard working. I will return with any other problems I have in the future and I would recommend them. Their pricing is very fair and they are willing to help out customers any way they can.
I called to sign my boys up for guitar lessons and had a few options worked out and was told I would be called back to confirm which times worked. I never heard back. Then, when I called back to confirm options, I was told they didn’t have any of my information logged and there were no longer any time slots available for lessons.
Everyone I have met there seems very nice, but very poorly organized.
17. Wildwood Guitars
Address: 500 S Arthur Ave STE 700, Louisville, CO 80027 , Erie , Colorado , United States
Bought 4 top end guitars. Wildwood has a customer that will buy again
Fantastic buying experience. These people are so attentive and pleasant to deal with. I highly recommend them if you are looking at quality instruments at a fair price. They go way above and beyond for the customer
They don’t do setups on your guitar yet they have a warehouse full of guitars? Great selection and very knowledgeable.
This is place for serious guitar players who know what they’re looking for. You have to go in with a game plan and narrow down your options before you go in. The kid who was assigned to me was on the computer and, frankly, seemed irritated when I asked laymen’s questions around neck differences, pickup selection, etc. I just don’t think it’s a shop for the average hobbyist. I had cash with me and was ready to have someone help me along with my research, guide me a bit and walk out with a new guitar. That was not my experience. He probably sells dozens of $3-$4k guitars a day to people who already bought dozens of guitars from them! Ultimately, I wound up with a super enthusiastic kid at another shop who spent a good 20-30 minutes with me and I landed an amazing Les Paul Standard. That said, it’s a great atmosphere full of talented musicians from all over and the owner is super nice with an incredible reputation by all accounts (personal and online). If it was closer, I would’ve gone back on a week day with a solid plan. Just go in with a game plan, do your homework before you go in, and have a few options to try out beforehand with the codes/numbers you’re looking for so they can just run to the back and grab it….you can’t beat their selection and their pricing is very competitive.
Apparently they only want to do online business. Don’t bother going to the showroom. They won’t let you in….because why would you want to play the $3k instrument before you buy it?
I’m sure it’s a COVid thing, but even with COVid, every other shop in the US is still willing to do business.
I usually buy a new guitar around my bday every year and literally had $3k cash on me. I was going to look at a used SG Custom from craigslist, but was totally willing to spend that money at Wildwood if something impressed me.
I guess I will go somewhere else. Not my choice, but if they don’t want my money, then that’s hard to argue with.
I’m happy their online sales are good enough to close their showroom. Good for them…bad for customers:(
Still a great guitar shop, but how can you leave more than one star if they are literally turning away business?
I started going there back in 2001 and have previously purchased four guitars from them over the years along with a DR Z Amp and numerous other goodies. The first being a Martin 00-15, then a Gretsch G6120 1959 in Lacquer both many moons ago. Then shortly thereafter one of first thin skin ’50s White Blonde Telecasters. And a little over two years ago a Brad Paisley Tele. I attempted to by another Telecaster this week and for lack of better words became very frustrated
You see, I used to go down to the shop as I only live about an hour up the road. Life happens you get busy and lately it’s been over the phone and online as free shipping and a lesser tax rate is better for me. I dealt mostly with Steve, Bruce and then Lance the last couple of times and they are all good people and made sure I was taken care of no matter in person or on the phone. I wanna say that after every conversation I have every had with Steve he makes you feel like a King and I know it’s not just for me as I have witnessed him many times treat everyone that way.
So why am I frustrated? It shouldn’t take 4 days to get a guitar in a box and out the door. I spoke with an Ian on day one to be informed that it was scheduled to ship in 4 days and if I wanted it by Christmas I would have to pay for extra shipping. I was with a customer on the side of the road helping them not be stranded so I quickly told him I didn’t need extra shipping and left it at that as I needed to get my work done. Day 2, I emailed to try and get a better understanding and dealt with a John that simply offered up excuses and just wanted to tell me how busy they were. So I got to thinking about all this and emailed them to cancel the order. I got an email back that now I was being pushed ahead of 11 other customers and the guitar would go out a day earlier if I didn’t want it set-up. This got me thinking even more, and I even wondered about the fact that this Tele was a very inexpensive guitar by their standards so maybe that’s why my order was being pushed back for some reason.
I’ve heard rumors that ownership has changed. I don’t know. I do know if Wildwood has become so busy that It takes them 4 days to put a guitar in a box and ship to a long time local customer an hour away they don’t need my business anymore.
Wish my experience had gone something like these reviews. They should too as it could easily have resulted in a sale but, no, not the case.
I walked in and told the person that unenthusiastically greeted me I was looking at a Collings O2H in the $3000 range and wanted to see if they had something comparable. He said “We have over 2,000 guitars.” Uh, okay. I answered but anything similar like a 00 Martin for example? He led me to a computer screen and invited me to peruse their “over 2,000 guitar” inventory, find what I wanted and he’d bring it out then walked away. Zero guidance. Didn’t make it through the first page of Martins before walking out.
Before the day was over I returned to the store carrying the Collings, wrote a check for just under $3,000 and drove home.
I understand Wildwood changed owners so perhaps this is their new business model and, hey, it may work out for them but if I’m dropping three grand or more on a guitar I expect service which I found plenty of at the three other stores I visited.
18. FOX•DOG COFFEE
Address: 515 Briggs St, Erie, CO 80516 , Erie , Colorado , United States
Very good coffee and I’m very picky! Friendly staff too!
Amazing coffee, great staff and very cute location! Our favorite neighborhood spot
Good coffee. Simple, no frills place.
Good coffee, nice staff, but young and inexperienced and slow! We had a long wait and they weren’t great at navigating COVID compliance stuff.
Good Joe.
Lovely spot. Good coffee. Nice places to sit.
good coffee and pastries, but if you’re trying to land a job good luck is all i have to say. the hiring process is just … not even a call back or email to say we’ve found someone more fit for the position.
Expensive coffee not worth it!! The large size coffee here is as expensive as a venti at Starbucks but is the size of a small. Didn’t taste magical, just a blah latte. The choices of food here are minimal and ridiculous. A couple pastries and a weird quiche?? If you’re looking for food with your coffee don’t come here. As we checked out the male cashier said out loud as humanly possible how much we’d like to tip… To me that is rude and very unprofessional. You don’t ask out loud what percentage a person wants to tip, because then what do you have to do??… TIP! So ridiculous! Not pleased with this place whatsoever, will never go back. Will always go to Christos down the street, way better coffee and choices, and no one asks me to tip them in front of everyone!
The low review is for one reason, the coffee bean used here does not taste good. It’s sour. I’m sure some prefer it, but it’s not typical . I still go because it’s the only place in town. If they could please provide at least two roasts I’d be back to 5 stars.
