Brought my daughter there to shop and she found some rocks that she really like to share With her sister to add to their collection. the cashier was very friendly it seems like it’s a family owned business enjoy shopping there pleasant experience
Great store with a wonderful selection. Highly recommend stopping in!
My other favorite rock shop to visit when on the road! Their selection of minerals/gem stones is sure to sate any geological curiosities you have, and their selection of Sugalite/Charoite (my favorite minerals) is the best I’ve seen! Worth a peek as you make your way to the end of sixth street.
Very nice guy and some really cool things.
Not great, not bad.. just was not at all what I was expecting. It probably isn’t the kind of store you are looking for if you are a gemstone collector or jewelry maker. There is not much of a selection/variety here, and not much inventory in the store. There are stones carved into animals and hearts and stuff, some tumbled stones.. mostly trinket kinds of gemstones you’d expect to see at a kids section in a Nature & Science museum or something.. typical “tourist trap” kind of merchandise.. fitting for the location I suppose though. They do have some pre-made jewelry, some hemp bags, incense, and a few other random items as well. I would say it is a nice stop for a kiddo interested in rocks!
Not the greatest selection of rocks in their raw form, but a wonderful salesperson. As usual I found many pieces to purchase.
Prices are high but it was a nice little shop
unfriendly atmosphere: loud hate talk radio, no greeting from proprieter
2. Ophelia’s
Address: 600 Sixth St, Georgetown, CO 80444 , Georgetown , Colorado , United States
This is one of my favorite places to visit on long weekends in the mountains. I especially love all the old books and have purchased many!
Everything in here was way too cute, coming to this shop will always be on our to do list going to Georgetown. Julia was extremely kind and helpful and made our experience worthwhile. 10/5 stars
Enjoy browsing the store and gentleman was was very friendly.
Was closed. Midday on a Friday.
Came to visit for the season and place had all sorts of nifty little stuff. Always enjoy visiting and browsing.
Nice antiques. Lot of collectables and jewelry. No discounts. Man in charge not the friendliest and not too knowledgeable about the antiques. Fair prices.
We visited a couple weeks ago to celebrate my sister birthday. We did quite a bit of shopping but she specifically asked to go into this shop when we drove past it. When we went in it was perfectly fine but I went to take couple pictures of the lamps and she accused me of taking pictures of her jewelry and stood in-front of me until I deleted the pictures. We did quite a bit of shopping downtown afterwards so it was their loss.
The owner of this store is a scam artist and a thief. She stole from me by selling me a defective pair of earrings that broke within an hour of me leaving the store. She refused to refund my $$. Her assistant Ryan told me to mail the earrings back and the company that they purchased the earrings from could repair them. There was a $5 charge for the repair. I mailed the one earring back to Ophila’s so they can ship the earring to the manufacturer 4 weeks ago. When I called to check to see if they received the earring, a couple days after I shipped it and to confirm it was sent out for repair, the owner told me that she was going to return the package to sender and not pay to have the earring repaired, that was 4 weeks ago. I still have never received the earring, which i paid $58.00 for, I have left multiple messages and a called numerous times and she has never returned my call. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS. SHE IS A THIEF AND HAS NO RESPECT FOR HER CUSTOMERS. SHE IS AN AWFUL HUMAN BEING. Check out Yelp for more bad reviews.
As many others noted here the owner is literally awful and we left die to her rudeness. I spent over $600 this trip in antiques around CO and had excellent experiences at all other establishments I entered. She yelled at me while I was in the entry way to stop taking pictures because she doesn’t allow it. It wasn’t that photos are not permitted that bothered me but the way she treated me. I may not look like a “good” customer but I intended to spend hundreds in that store but she did not deserve my families business. Great items, antiques and products from what I could see but save yourself the hassle of seeing that wretched woman.
3. Family Dollar
Address: 1560 Argentine St, Georgetown, CO 80444 , Georgetown , Colorado , United States
Its quite amazing you can find a family dollar in Georgetown. Considering the price of other suppliers in the area, family dollar is definitely the place to go. Great selection of groceries and home necessities.
They have a wide variety of bread and cake. Wonder Bread, Dave’s Killer Bread, Nature’s Own and Tastykakes.
Every time I shop here has been a great experience. ALL THE STAFF & MANAGEMENT have been giving myself & family great , friendly & professional customer service. The prices are reasonable and the selection of products for a small town. It seems that they’re short staff and appears to be struggling with that. I always seem to find what I need tho. I always enjoy shopping here, The ladies seems to be happy to work there & enjoy their small chats.
Nice store with friendly staff
Good prices but watch for overcharges.
Ok
Terrible customer service, extremely rude salespeople! I’m really surprised how these people even have jobs with such poor manners and customer service skills! I’ve never been treated so poorly before!
It’s not a dollar store. The employee’s are very nice and helpful.
Like almost every other business around, rarely open during the posted hours.
Rule of thumb for the area, if the sun is down just stay home regardless of posted hours for any business.
4. The Silver Fox
Address: 507 Sixth St, Georgetown, CO 80444 , Georgetown , Colorado , United States
Oh my goodness…what’s not to love? They had so many great gift ideas…and the Christmas side of the shop was amazing, too. I now have reindeer lights and a very cool moose ornament for our tree, along with magnets, a serving spatula, etc.
They carry many gifts made in Russia, Sweden, Poland, etc. They feature Jim Shore collectibles.
Fantastic place. I always feel like I am going back in time when I enter this store. Best selection of ornaments
My favorite shop on Earth! The owners are some of the greatest people I have met traveling. I LOVE this place! Great selection of unique products and Christmas decorations. A must visit!!
Quaint stop selling all kinds of wares but specializing in Christmas ornaments and the like.
Very quaint little store, a lot of German and Swiss inspired trinkets. Lots of Christmas stuff!
A great store to visit. Not a lot of locally made items though.
I’m very sad that my family and I had such a terrible experience at Shoppe International. We have been coming to this store for years to find the perfect Christmas ornament. It’s a tradition and unfortunately that tradition has to stop. While shopping my 2 year old had to use the restroom. We rushed to the counter to ask if they had a public restroom that she could use. Kim and Sandy were at the counter and told us no. Which is fine and understandable. Said it was a liability issue for the 2 year old to use their facilities. As we rushed out of the store those two women laughed and mocked us for asking. My daughter being newly potty trained had an accident as we searched for another restroom. She cried because she was so embarrassed and ashamed that she couldn’t make it to a restroom and no fault to her own. I understand that they don’t have a public restroom but I do not understand why it is ok to be so incredibly rude and unprofessional. A simple suggestion of a nearby store or restaurant would have avoided this whole situation. Coming back to to retrieve the rest of my family that was left in the store I told Kim a simple suggestion would have been great. She wouldn’t even look up from her paper she was reading. Then she raised her voice at me and started screaming at me for asking and how it wasn’t her problem. She was so incredibly rude. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. Being screamed at by an employee is unacceptable. I asked for her name and owners information and she refused to give me her last name to call and report the incident. Sandy was much more polite and simply explained it was against their policy. I’ve called the number on the card to report the incident to the owners. Spoke with a woman and I feel it fell on deaf ears. It was such a shame I even had a woman and her husband come up to us on the street and said they put down everything they had in their hands ready to buy and also walked out of the store because of how we were treated. AVOID THIS ESTABLISHMENT AT ALL COST! ZERO STARS IF I COULD. I’m in shock that they think they can treat customers so poorly. Screaming at me inside the store while other customers were so uncomfortable they left too. SHAME ON THEM.
The owner of this shop is extremely rude! I went in there with my grandparents and she followed my grandpa around like a hawk. He was looking around her shop with a walker and she kept bugging him every 2 seconds to make sure he didn’t brake anything. Well I am pretty sure he is not a child and will not brake anything. Extremely rude and I do not recommend ever shopping there!
Cranky old lady. Very mean to children.
6. Lone Wolf Guitars
Address: 3735 Beaver Brook Canyon Rd, Evergreen, CO 80439 , Georgetown , Colorado , United States
Great food anytime of the day breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Sooooooo good! LOVE the energy and the friendly staff. Our server was hilarious and on point!!
Definitely coming again!!
Just amazing food and owners. Super clean! Loved it.
Nice place but BEWARE of extra charges! We had a good meal with nice brisket, decent nachos and a cheese sandwich, as well as kids’ pasta with butter. The server, who had been generally good, brought us out another pasta even though my son hadn’t touched his previous plate. “The chef made an extra one,” she said, depositing it on our table. And they charged us for it! I was going to leave an extra big tip because my kid spilled his hot chocolate, so I just left a usual one and counted that charge as tip. They also charged a couple more dollars than I’d expected for a margarita, though I would have overlooked that if not for the pasta. So have a good time here, but definitely check your bill and watch out for “extras.”
Food was great. But not enough. I had to order the same hangar steak twice. Both times it was a great steak.
They have a good selection of Whiskey, but it is waaaay overpriced. Staff was friendly, but the kitchen took a long time. I ordered the trout and their is something in the dish that tastes sour and it was a small portion for $30. Probably won’t go back.
Good decorations and decor. Place has foul food and not worth the Breck prices. Got recommended to come here but should have trusted my instincts.
The burger was great, the tomato soup was stone cold and the waitress brought our Caesar salad at the same time as buger…who does that? We said we wanted to share it first. Took it to go and threw it out. Very busy. Trying Coopers next, like the locals told us.
Rude and slow service. We left and went to The Happy Cooker instead, where we had a much better experience.
8. Affordable Music
Address: 104 Village Pl, Dillon, CO 80435 , Georgetown , Colorado , United States
Gary is helpful and knowledgeable. The selection was excellent and I enjoyed my guitar-buying experience. Well-worth our 40 mike drive,
Coolest people on Earth, helped find the perfect guitar for me and overall just fun to chat with. Get ya goods here, people.
Great store, lots of music, plenty of stringed instruments.
Surprisingly good 45 selection.
I’ve heard good things about it but I was upstairs at pug Ryan’s bar
Sells broken products. Very expensive.
Owner is a racist. He harassed my friend for shopping while black , four times AFTER he bought a CD. We went outside and had to show the police his recite.
Great place to shop if you are worried someone is impersonating you. Don’t shop there if you are black, he might call the cops.
A shambles. Nothing affordable. Maybe okay for guitars, but not music. Looks like a yard sale gone bad. Used vinyl is poor quality, C- vinyl and covers disorganized and twice the price of Denver. Boxes of unsorted records strewn about. New stuff is full list price. Not worth the effort of stopping. Waste of time
9. Music Go Round
Address: 8055 W Bowles Ave #2C, Littleton, CO 80123 , Georgetown , Colorado , United States
I did not know that this place existed, until I drove by. They sale all kinds of musical instruments, I’m in love and I even bought my guitar there. They also give musical lessons, with great customer service.
The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Prices were great. Will definitely go back.
The people there are very helpful and knowledgeable.
Great place to look for used gear! They have a decent selection of everything especially if you have kids! and the employees are nice. I’ve sold a few thing here and I’ll say they offer the absolute lowest price they can when you don’t take store credit… If you have something to sell and need the cash quick it’s great otherwise you have to be looking to trade for something in the store for it to be worth it.
Love the store !!Been going there for 15 years. New owner seems to be a straight forward Stand-up guy, they said to smash this guitar my guitar tech made it play beautifully
Staff is a great bunch of guys who have a grasp of what’s what about musical instruments. It used to be a good place to sell your used appointment. I would give you a a decent price but nowadays they won’t even give you a price better than what a pawn shop will give you. I’ve noticed in last couple of years their prices have gone up. They don’t negotiate the prices, which puts customer at a disadvantage Because condition is a huge part in what you pay. I will still stop in and check their inventory. But not as often as I used to.
Inquired about, and tested an amp, (The Roland Bolt-60) it wasn’t acting correctly so I mentioned it to them. It appears to have some grounding issues, making noise from filter capacitors most likely, as well as issues with the pots. I was still interested in it, however rather than correct their advertisement and pricing, or repair the amp, they told me to forget about it and that they wouldn’t be repairing it.
If this is how they handle broken products and continue to sell them in states of disrepair. This might serve as a good warning. I would worry about other products without completely testing it, and potentially having a second opinion.
Just leaving the store now! I was trying to get some more information on a couple different things in the store but despite their not being a lot of people in the store for staff did their best to not make eye contact or help me oh well!
Bought a DJ mixer online and paid shipping. Called up after 3 days as I didn’t receive any update about my order. Guy told me that they sold the mixer at the store and will just issue me a refund. What a joke of a store.

The train ride was incredible. Take your kids and yourself
Small quiet town with old homes from 1800’s. Lovely lake and quaint shops. A lot of snow and folk don’t come here til spring arrives. Good Neighbors who look after each other. Limited grocery options, a few places to eat but check first as some have limited hours or days. Great hiking guide, Kim Knox (see Georgetown Outdoor Discovery).
Christmas Market was great fun. Found unique Christmas presents and toured the historic Hamill House.
12. The Alpine Restaurant and Bar
Address: 1106 Rose St, Georgetown, CO 80444 , Georgetown , Colorado , United States
The pizza can stand on its own. The crust is actually crispy and not soggy like the new brewery at the lake.
Fantastic homemade food and very nice service! Would definitely come back!
I live about an hour from this restaurant but it’s definitely worth the beautiful drive! They had live music, friendly staff and the fries are delicious and the pizza is excellent! I love when establishments use fresh ingredients and this place definitely does! No canned jalapenos… nope freshly sliced- just how I like em!! Also, the Gold Rush Margarita is a must have if you’re not driving and you’re over 21. Lotta history here too!
Came here for dinner about an hour and 15 minutes before closing, they were struggling that night. I could tell they were very short staffed. It was extremely hot inside, so we asked to be moved outside. We ordered promptly after being seated outside, but our food took almost 45 minutes to come out. In that time, we never were checked on, never got drinks refilled, and weren’t offered the chance to order more beers. My order came out wrong and missing chicken that I ordered. We also were now eating in the darkness, as there wasn’t much light outside. The food tasted good, but the service was sub par. It was easy to see they needed more help, but communication goes a long way in helping customers understand the situation. If any of the employees could simply have given us a heads up to the situation or had checked on us at least once….I probably would have given this a better rating. In our servers defense, she did apologize as she dropped off the bill and took items off without us asking. Perhaps they just had a rough night, but it wasn’t a good experience for us.
Greasy pizza, but good!
Friendly service, good food and atmosphere, reasonable price.
Wow, a few of you got treated good in this place!!!!. I did not. I will never give these people my money. Our waitress was rude. I think her name was Sherry. There was also an older woman/customer that told me “If you want a beer, you got to go down the street about 50 blocks”. I definitely did not get the warm fuzzies in this dump. I think the waitress and old lady had issues with me because I asked if I could smoke on the deck…..They will make you feel like a second class citizen if you smoke. They apparently don’t care what their establishment looks like, the barrel planters were all falling apart with dead plants in there.
Wow just wow I have lived out here for several years and was told that our order would not be excepted with more then an hour before they close. As me as a local I would not recommend this place after the poor and disrespectful service I received. Best advice from me is not to trust there hours or services until this covid time is over. Very unrealiable on times. Best of luck. Also can you please post your real work schedule not that fake one depending on tip!!!! Must not need that local support
11/2018: Long wait for cold food. 3 ☆☆☆
UPDATE: 2/20/19 zero ☆
We ordered takeout-2 Stomboli’s and 1 Calzone. All 3 burnt on bottom. We had a $26 balance on a $50 gift certificate. They tried to say there was nothing left on the certificate. Why would they write $26 balance AND give it back to us? We sent a friend to pickup the order, it was humiliating to hear how he was treated. More embarrassing after we told him the food was good only to find it burnt.

On 12/29/17 After searching several pawn shops and other music stores I talked with Brandon at Music Go Round looking for Wedge Monitors. Brandon searched his inventory and found a pair of legion monitors. These monitors made my system sound awesome. I got a great deal and excellent service and will be a repeat customer. If you are into music gear, Music Go Round is the place to go. Thanks Music Go Round for being the hometown community music shop.
George Schmitz Jr
Good deals and knowledgeable staff .
Pricey stuff. But good condition. Great service. Would love to go back and see what else I may want to get in the future
Pretty cool…!!!
Had good experiences in the past here both buying and selling but chose to offer me $200 for $1500 worth of bass gear. At least guitar center offered me 50% of the total worth. Avoid if you are selling. If you are buying check EVERYTHING over as much of the wind instrument stock has issues.
EDIT: Went back last week to trade another guitar. The salesperson claimed that the neck was twisted (so they of course couldn’t buy it) which was debunked later by a good luthier. I really want to like this store but they don’t employ honest people.
Good music store but don’t sell them your musical instruments – they value everything on ebay and offer you less than 10% of its value. Offered me $50 for a very old German violin which I sold on craigslist for $800 which was about the value of the instruments I could see them looking at to compare against on ebay
Do not sale or buy equipment from these crooks. I came down from Wyoming to sell my speakers which they said on the phone they would make an offer. They offered $5 for my speakers which sell for $400 new a piece. When I said that $5 wasn’t a real offer I was cussed out so I left and ended up buying a guitar at Guitar Center instead of one of theirs. I have since sold my used gear online for way more than $5. These people insult your intelligence so they can rip you off for their benefit and cuss you out if you disagree with them.
14. Guitar Center
Address: 8601 Sheridan Boulevard G, Arvada, CO 80003 , Georgetown , Colorado , United States
Staff knows what you need and gives you advice instead of selling.
Coolest store on the planet, it has EVERYTHING a musician/gearhead could want…AND…wait for it…Harbor Freight is next door. I parked, got out of my car saw the magic and popped a huge woodreux Wilson in mis pantalones!
Prices are okay bit the service is very good. Rick is the man when it comes to strings, whether your looking for a guitar or needing help with a bass.
Extremely overpriced music gear with extremely nagging staff who like to follow you around and say :”do you need anything? can I help you? how are you doing?” Unless you go 30 minutes before they close then you can’t get an associate to even talk to you unless it’s:” get out” Love it
Mostly just pro audio and guitars, otherwise quite limited selection
I had excellent customer service despite not having the product I was looking for in stock. I was actually able to have it delivered to my doorstep next day as they had their supply shipment coming the next day.
Bought a bass, broke with in a few months! Took it in under warranty, and a month and a half later its still not fixed! BS!
Staff totally ignored me. Only woman present. Young man who checked out my purchase had difficulty with transaction and couldn’t get help from coworkers. Strange dynamic going on for sure.
Guitar Center used to cater to professionals. Now it’s full of every level equipment. The precision section was just saying.
15. Kind Mountain Collective / Kind Mountain Music
Address: 1538, 1546 Miner St, Idaho Springs, CO 80452 , Georgetown , Colorado , United States
My favorite place to shop for unique items and support local. I always stop in here when I come through Idaho Springs there is always new art or jewelry. My favorite items are the stickers and unique hand made items.
Cody was more than helpful when I was purchasing this guitar. I have had my eyes set on buying a Guild from Nick at Kind Mountain for a few years now and I am so happy. A small but mighty guitar selection, one of the best shops for art and guitars in the mountains. Can’t thank these guys enough
Great place and great atmosphere great experience all around
Very art and musical forward. If you enjoy supporting local artists — this is your place.
What a cool place to see all sorts of musical instruments and music not to mention the great local artisans. You gotta come check it out.
My husband and I stopped in here on Sunday afternoon while shopping in Idaho Springs. Hubby saw a guitar that he’s been looking for to add to his collection. He asked the guy at the counter if he could play it and if by chance he had a slide he could borrow to see if he liked the guitar. The guy responded that he didn’t have time to get it down for someone to “jam”. We were the only people in the store at that time. We’ve never been treated so rudely at a music store. Why would someone buy a guitar without trying it first? Lost sale for them. We just walked out. Totally ridiculous.
16. Campus Music Store & Studios
Address: 907 16th St, Greeley, CO 80631 , Georgetown , Colorado , United States
Very helpful! Got my first guitar here years ago! WILL DICKSON and JAGUAR JAKE are juts ignorant and mad! THE WORLD DOESNT REVOLVE AROUND YOU insignifiCUNTS!!
Closed when it says 24 hours and store is a mess
17. Flesher Hinton Music
Address: 5890 W 44th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80212 , Georgetown , Colorado , United States
Came in to by reeds and the F-H staff was very helpful and reassuring to my 11 year old, who is just learning to play saxophone. They answered his questions (and mine) and he left feeling much better about his prospects than when we came in. Thank you so much! P.S. Miss you on Tennyson but the parking IS way better at the new location.
Excellent staff! Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful when I went in looking for a clarinet! Reasonable prices! Thanks for the help!
I had an excellent visit to Flesher Hinton Music today. Barry in the Service Dept patiently helped me with problem with my autoharp. I will definitely return in the future for my musical instrument needs.
Like always the services people were just great.
There’s parking at the new location. Really reasonably priced supplies. Not the best selection for buying instruments though. Since their relocation, seems they’re putting more emphasis on instrument repair. Still probably the best music supply shop in the area
The people employees are professional, knowledgeable, and ready to help!
As with any store like this, you can expect them to be salesmen, though they don’t push too hard and don’t avoid helping you find the lowest priced items.
The technicians are great, but I wish they had a bit more enthusiasm.
If you are testing out brass instruments or such, the practice room they put me in had too much reverb to get accurate samples, even with a recording device. I have yet to ask if they had a more acoustically dry room.
They can order sheet music and products, and have all the basics and many accessories for band musicians.
Just terrible experience! Purchased a new wood clarinet 5 months ago. Found out it was cracking, unfortunately happens if not taken care of, but not in the first 5 months.
Took 2+ months to fix, when we finally picked it up, some old guy in the store started telling my 16 year old daughter about keeping it greased every six months- lecturing her because it was so dried out! Finally stepped in and told him…we bought it here less than 5 months ago…in other words, you sold an old dried out clarinet for $2000.00. Will never ever step foot in this store again d/t the service dept.
Went in to check out acoustic guitars earlier today. Got an important call as I was about to tune a guitar I was checking out and the guy behind the counter just starts blowing into some sort of wind instrument seemingly deliberately because taking a quick phone call. So I hung up the guitar and just walked out.
But the guy who welcomed me when I walked in seemed nice.
18. Mother’s Saloon
Address: 601 Fourteenth St, Georgetown, CO 80444 , Georgetown , Colorado , United States
Great place to have some drinks with some fun locals and get a late night bite. Most recommend the cheese stake.
Great local bar!
The Philly cheese steak is awesome
Its a country bar had our beer, in the back I don’t know what river it is but it’s pretty cool there’s a big deck you go out on and you can look down into it and see the fish trout
Fun little hole in the wall in the mountains after Jeepin all day.
They dont ever answer the phone
Great place for flat beer on tap and slow service! You can look at the neat dollar bills on the ceiling while being ignored by the staff when you’re trying to buy a drink.
Brook the bartender took 30 min to make 2 burgers… then totally messed up cashing out the bill which took honestly another 30 min for her to figure out. Love this place and great burger but won’t be going back for awhile
19. Monkton Guitars
Address: 1505 W 1st Ave A, Broomfield, CO 80020 , Georgetown , Colorado , United States
TL;DR – This place rules, come here instead of some big box guitar store.
Came into the store this weekend hoping to find a new amp, I’d been thinking I wanted a Fender Twin Reverb but wasn’t quite sure if that was really what I was after. The owner Dave helped me out, had me play through a handful of other amps before setting me up with both the Twins they had in stock. Being able to play the ’70 twin back to back with a 90’s ’65 reissue was perfect to get a feel for the difference between different models of the same amp. Dave was super friendly, knowledgable and helpful, the store had great inventory, and ultimately I walked out with the 1970 Twin (best sounding amp I’ve ever played). This is my first tube amp (and a vintage one at that) but I feel great knowing I can give them a call if I have issues or need maintenance in the future and they’ll point me in the right direction. I’ll 100% be coming back here for future purchases and would encourage anyone reading this to support a great small business and shop here.
The service was amazing. I finally saved up enough money to buy my own acoustic electric guitar, and they sat down with me for hours helping choose the perfect fit. Dave the owner and all the workers were so nice and I wouldn’t have made any other decision. Customer for life ❤️
great place to try and buy, they know their stuff and are super nice and willing to help you find what you’re looking for. they have great recommendations and will let you play whatever for however long. very cheap for repairs and guitar work, much cheaper than other places. got my frets leveled/crowned and it sounds fantastic, however they did kind of gauge/scratch the neck on several frets. sucks, but not a huge deal as it’s not a high end guitar and the price was right ($60). again, sounds great but i would be weary of bringing a higher end model in as they weren’t very careful about taping off the neck to avoid cosmetic damage.
Best shop around!
do not take your guitars here for repair! simple jobs will end up being 2 hours in labor charges. they will take your working guitar and send you home with a non-working guitar. they will mix up the wiring on the pots. they will give you pots too large so your knobs have a huge gap underneath. unbelievably unprofessional and incapable.
EDIT: The business response is not a fair respresentation. First guitar, volume pots wired backwards. Second guitar, repair only lasted the car ride home. Second fix only lasted the next car ride home. Third fix, incorrect tone mapping and too large of pots. Every single trip a problem. Why would I go back?
20. Flipside Music
Address: 2231 S Platte River Dr, Denver, CO 80223 , Georgetown , Colorado , United States
I just wanted to echo a lot of positive sentiment I see in the comments here. I don’t generally leave reviews for places, but Flipside Music I believe deserves an exceptional mention.
In particular, their pedal selection is the best on the front range that I’m aware of. From your classic Boss stomp boxes, (and the Waza varients) up to major boutique pedals from small manufacturers. You’ll find serious pedal gear here well priced, and get to try it out on a selection of amps and guitars. It’s awesome. I saw an original Mutron and a hand-wired TS-808 today for sale, too cool. Also, I appreciate they keep their inventory up to date online. Expect it to be accurate if they say they are in or out of stock of something. They also keep popular items regularly restocked, I appreciate that.
I also have never left without just having a pleasant conversation with someone. Today I spoke with Jake, a customer service rep here for a while about various drive tones and slapback delays and like always, someone is down to talk shop and loves guitar tones. They won’t steer you wrong, and are great folks.
The Luthier tech was super friendly, knowledgeable and fast. Thanks for doing the setup for me! Sales staff was chill as well. Place has a cool vibe.
Flipside Music is an absolute winner! These guys are always kind and understand how to help customers achieve their goals. It is a relief to have such a wonder shop were you feel like family.
Thank you Ike and the team!
This store is one of Denver’s hidden gems! I walked in looking for a bass pre-amp… These guys blew me away with their knowledge and friendlyness. They definitely know their stuff. I’d recommend flip side to any bassist or guitarist for any needs except repairs( I don’t know if they do repairs, I didn’t ask, as I already have a guy for that…).
Pretty good store with decent prices
First Visit. Nice small shop, great pedal selection and some nice guitar brands (Reverend, G&L among others). Really friendly folks.
Overly expensive and also lots of homeless people hanging outside on the street near by. It’s a dump.
