Excellent professional guidance in instrument selection!
Best Music Store In My Favour & Good Response Service
Awesome staff, risk free rentals
Knows there stuff easy finance.
But expensive.
I guess this is a good music store, it has been there forever, lol. We went there to buy an instrument and they had nothing in our price range available ( which wasn’t low I might add :/) (said they would have to order) …I like how they will let you try a few out, they will give you a room away from everyone. They also do instrument repair. The girl that helped us was amazing, helpul and friendly. We’ll go back!
Very helpful and friendly staff. They have a large variety of instruments and accessories.
Bought a clarinet from them for 1,111.94 was on sale originally 1900. A year later tried to trade it in. They offered 75$. They services this clarinet as well. Upgraded mouth piece. Long story short bad customer service owner wouldn’t even talk to us. Said he had lots of inventory but we saw none in store. Went to Schmitds and they offered a fair price for this and gained a customer. They were extremely nice. He said he gets a customer a week come in mad at these guys. 75$ smh.
Too expensive
They said “oh we can’t fix your flute because it is a hunter we don’t work on those
2. Blues Angel Music
Address: 657 N Pace Blvd, Pensacola, FL 32505 , Goulding , Florida , United States
We went to Blue Angel to get some drum sticks for our daughter who wants to try drums. Chris helped us out and was very informative and friendly. All of the staff appeared genuinely enthusiastic in their work but gave just the right amount of space to explore and consider our choices. I ended up leaving with a djembe as well! We have been to Blue Angel Music before. Always have had a fun and educational experience.
While in town visiting family I checked out several local music stores. Blue Angels Music was, by far, the best. With a great selection of gear, and friendly, welcoming staff, this will be my go-to store anytime I’m in Pensacola.
Everytime I visit, I get great service. The team knows their business and they are always willing to help.
Those are great people with great service!!!
It gives you different musical options and they have small classes that teach music and their businesslike aspect of it is very great as well
This store is okay, the people are friendly but they’re a little over-priced.
This store has been around for a long time, I have gone many times and have purchased quite a few pieces of gear. The last few years though I have received terrible and condescending service from the employees, especially Jacob, blonde hair with glasses. Jacob has actually tried to talk me out of purchasing items on several occasions. When I bought my PRS he asked repeatedly why do I need a full scale? Why would that matter, I’ve played guitar for years I know what I want, that is why I picked that guitar, “NOT” because I want to be questioned by some music store clerk. Thanks for your condescending opinions Jacob, because of you this business has lost a loyal customer…
Cool people, subpar service. I sent a saxophone in for repairs at the beginning of April. They said it would be $120 and take roughly two weeks. Sounds good to me. Two weeks later and they haven’t even started on it. I finally get a text message at the beginning of May notifying me of my saxophone being ready. The total has been raised to $150 without warning. Friendly staff, especially the guitar techs but probably won’t go there with another repair.
The folks who work on the sales side of BAM are great, but the repair shop has continually failed to deliver service for my bass amplifiers. I have two Ampeg combos that have needed work over the last couple of years. Most recently, one would not power up, so I dropped it off on 2/3/20 for repair. The staff member at the counter said it may be a could of weeks, as they were backed up. I said that was fine. When I checked on it two weeks later, the amp was still sitting in the same place I left it. Apparently, BAM sublets their amplifier work to another shop, which the staff member did not mention when I dropped it off. So I waited longer to no avail. When I went to pick it up to get the work done elsewhere (on 3/18/20) I was treated rudely and given no apology for the lack of service, only the comment, “Yeah they’re pretty slow.” My prior experience with a different Ampeg amplifier was at least sufficient (they fixed it), but they broke off a knob while it was in the shop and would not reorder a replacement. In both of these experiences I gave BAM ample time and patience to resolve the issues, but they were either not able or willing to do so. We don’t have a lot of choices in P’cola for repair shops, but BAM is not the place to go.
3. East Hill Guitar Instruction
Address: 903 N 12th Ave, Pensacola, FL 32501 , Goulding , Florida , United States
Would get a lot less stars if I could, they won’t return calls I found a charge on my mother in laws bank account for this store called to find out what it is for they won’t return calls, she was in the hospital and later died so I doubt she made the charge. Calling the BBB and Attorney Generals Office
This place is a fraud! Buyer beware!!!
6. Revolver Records
Address: 2050 N 12th Ave, Pensacola, FL 32503 , Goulding , Florida , United States
Best Record store in Northwest Florida hands down!
Cool record shop located in a cafe / restaurant. Nice to just look around. They also have T-shirts!
Terrific local record shop! Exactly and precisely what you think of when you picture a vinyl record store! Eric the owner, is very nice and will help you find whatever you need, if it’s not in the store, he’ll order it for you! Never a long wait. Highly recommend!
Not bad. Used section kind of small and pricey.
It was ok
Relatively limited, but highly diverse and eclectic selection of new sealed records. Priced as you would expect them to be, so don’t expect your average Amazon prime price. The owner is very friendly, and reiterated his willingness to special order specific albums for customers.
RUDE! Never be back! Was going to buy 3 gelato treats and wanted to sample one first. No, not on event day speech. In the time it took to explain that she could’ve sold 2 more cups.
Record area is pretty small. New vinyl organized on the racks but all the used stuff is on the floor and in no particular order.
They say they are open. I walked in and the counter was dark. The Gelato was covered with foil and the light was off. There was no one who even looked at me to greet me. They were all engrossed in the records. I reviewed the menu board. After waiting to the point of uncomfortablility I walked out. I live two blocks away but I’ll just head to Publix. They’re neighborly and they have great Gelato. It’s really not clear to me what the roll of the store is.
7. Guitar Center
Address: 6927 N 9th Ave, Pensacola, FL 32504 , Goulding , Florida , United States
Great experience working with Tom trying to find the right guitar for my wife. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Rocking customer service!
They were able to help me get an appropriate microphone replacement for a building public address system.
I had some gear to sell and a fellow named Brett hooked me up. Kind of a shame he had so many people to cover, but I got good cash for very little work. I imagine I could have gotten more out of a private seller, but here I just piled it up and got paid cash. I am happy. Shouts as well to the tech who fixed my ukulele for free.
Big and good people.
Good people
Staff were friendly sort of people. Selection is fantastic if you are not a southpaw….hardly any left-hand guitars or basses, what a shame some of the best musicians were lefties…..no offense right-handed folk. Other than that, it’s a good store, well except for all the racket some of customers are calling music these days (Hey, I can bring some knarley feedback with best of them but come on!)….
So brought a neck in and asked for a resize on the tuning holes to install a set of sperzel locking and the tech practically destroyed my brand new Japanese maple neck. Didn’t use a drill press, used a hand router to drill the set pins, and they’re not even close to aligned. I felt as if the tech was not provided the proper tools
Couldn’t give less stars otherwise i would.. Customer service was the worst ever and the store was empty. Everybody was hanging out in a corner talking or on a smoke break. Maybe there would be more customers if the service was more emphasized.
I ordered a guitar on march 30th that said “in stock and ready to ship” and here we are 13 days later still being told maybe in a few more days. This was after many phone calls, chats, and messages including a phone call on the 9th where I was told the guitar was literally on a truck to ups as we speak and I’d get a tracking number via email that night. Only to call today (2days later) to check on the tracking number to find that was a lie also. Finally cancelled and bought somewhere else. It will be here Wednesday. 🙂

Been working with the team since early 2000’s when the idea was just a dream. Now the dream is a reality. The reality is a business. I recommend you tap in — recording, mixing, and graphics one stop shop.
13. Carson’s Pawn Shop Inc
Address: 2706 N Pace Blvd, Pensacola, FL 32505 , Goulding , Florida , United States
Clayton and Darryl were very efficient and did everything the right way! The scale was right in front of my eyes unlike the 10 pawn shops I have been to all over Pensacola today. Trust me I really went to 10 shops. They were honest and friendly. I will refer everyone I know to this Shop. I am so thankful! Sorry wrong shop…This was the Pawn Shop on 1802 Fairfield Dr Pensacola FL. My apologies Carsons. We did not go to yours.
Best pawn shop in town! Good staff and great prices.
Nice place. Gentleman behind the counter was nice and seemed intelligent. It could possibly use a little spring cleaning.
Helpful and Fair prices
14. Smiproductions
Address: 213 E Hernandez St, Pensacola, FL 32503 , Goulding , Florida , United States
I would trust Nate with any of my instruments. He alway does quality work. What Nate doesn’t have, he can get for you….always at a fair price. I always say support your local music stores, but the the quality of work you can expect from ARC makes it easy.
I was a student of Nate’s for around 4 years from ~2005-2009. I followed Nate across several businesses (before he began working at ARC), because of how skilled he is at teaching and playing music. Today, I still play the music that Nate taught me ~10 years ago. I cherish my ability to express myself through guitar, and I have Nate to thank for that capability. I highly recommend learning from Nate and the staff at ARC.
I’m honestly shocked at all of the good reviews this place has. This is a guitar shop, not so much a versatile music shop as I had originally anticipated; and they let that be known as soon as I started to inquire about flute accessories and information. The guy was unfriendly and short saying, “we really only work on guitars here” and seemed disingenuous and annoyed that I was even there asking about stuff for a flute. I’m appreciative that I was able to leave with a little something of a cleaning kit but, I have never felt so unwelcome in a shop like that before and will not be going to this “music store” again. They should probably change the sign to “guitar store” in the near future to avoid anymore awkward, uncomfortable encounters.
17. Jitterbug Beverage Co.
Address: 2050 N 12th Ave, Pensacola, FL 32503 , Goulding , Florida , United States
Great spot for coffee, the Macha tea was great. They were out of muffins but she said they are awesome, can’t wait to try one.
Amazing coffee shop with a very cool vibe. Espresso was perfect and the gf muffin was so good heated up. Definitely my new go-to stop when I’m in town.
Just wow. Best coffee in town, and such wonderful owners. Such beautifully curated decor and the coffee is delightful!!
I was surprised when I was told they didn’t have any fresh black coffee
Always on the search for quality coffee, and my elusive, yet delightful, espresso tonic drinks. There used to be a coffee shop here that had this espresso tonic that I just loved, but they closed sadly. Luckily I found Jitterbug, and while I was busy sitting at a laundromat, my husband kindly went and got one for me. Oh yum! Made the chore much more tolerable. We did return afterwards with plans for brunch but for our own reasons decided to save that for another time. The place looks popular locally and the vibe is inviting. If you are looking for quality coffee, come here. In general this area is an inviting corner of Pensacola, and for me, nice to experience more than just the beach (which I love, too!).
Excellent coffee and really comfortable, eclectic environment. It takes them a strangely long time to make a latte, but it is a great place to hang out in so as long as there not a long line it works!

I’ve known Jonathan Ivey for years, and I’ve never met anyone else with as much passion for music or a bigger heart for people. I’d highly recommend giving this studio a try!
Very good service so far. Still waiting on masters to have final opinion.
