Great teacher and patient for young students. Able to engage and focus students to learn music through games as well as build self-motivation through achievement and recognition. Part of the ISMTA AIM curriculum and syllabus testing as well, a great way to focus and measure progress.
My wife and I cannot say enough about the benefit to our daughter of taking piano and music theory lessons from Brenda. Our seven year old daughter wanted to start taking piano lessons earlier this year. We heard of Brenda through another organization’s website (recommended by our daughter’s school’s music teacher). Brenda actually came to our house to meet us! We were taken in immediately by Brenda’s pleasant demeanor and her excitement and passion for teaching music. Our daughter clicked with her right away and we could see the connection right then and there, and knew that Brenda was the one. We have been with Brenda now for almost 6 months and our daughter looks forward to her lesson every week. She has learned so much in such a short time and we have Brenda to thank. She not only teaches her piano, but also music theory and rhythm. She uses mnemonic devices to help our daughter retain the information, such as flash cards and other unique items. She has group lessons once in a while where she brings a few of her students together to play their different instruments for each other, and also learn music concepts.
I was very excited when my daughter showed an interest in music. Brenda has certainly taken our daughter’s interest to great new levels. We are so pleased with her progress and Brenda fosters her interest every week and keeps things new and exciting.
Her price point is very reasonable (on par with other teachers) and she has a very flexible schedule. We would recommend without any hesitation or reservations.
My daughter has been going to Notes88 for a year now. Mrs Breda is a great teacher and she is patient. Virtual teaching and learning is a challenge for all and she manages it very well.
Brenda is very flexible in her approach and always has good tips and feedback to help me become better at playing piano. She has helped me improve my technique, sight read better and even start to play songs by ear. Even if I have not practiced as much as I intended our lesson is always worthwhile and fun. It is a pleasure to work with her, and I recommend her highly.

Pawn shop with a lot of second hand store. Prices seemed a bit high for some popular items so it’s better to buy new. As with any pawn shop be wary of stolen goods.
I was looking to sell some .999 fine silver, got what I thought was a low offer from one of there competitors down the road at 14 per ounce so I called convert cash to ask what they pay and the guy said 8 per ounce or 10 for high premium. I know they have a business to run but offering 40% of spot price for precious metals is just a joke. Will never recommend this place to anyone
Prices are scary. This used to be a great place to buy things. Basically everything is way over priced. Let’s put it this way, they want 300 for a kitchenaid blender from the 80s (I’m not sure if that’s when it’s from)
Convert to cash….. well what can we say about this place they pay you as low as they can and offer very low prices on what ever you bring in even if it is relatively new. If you bring in a similar product that is not moving off their shelves they will more than likely not be interested in buying it. Some examples 3 Cell Mag lite New they are asking 40$ there is nothing special about its not even LED about 12$ over retail price. Video Games too many to count usually prices higher than amazon ebay or some other resale shops. They do offer many console brands but they ask nearly 10-15% above realistic market value on most of the games or DVDs or sets. Musical instruments they are some what reasonable on those items and typically selection changes some what frequently and have decent brands. They also carry pro audio gear but the stuff for the most part way way over priced and your better off buying it new some place else like guitar center. Guitars they have a ok selection of these items except the items are used and they are asking nearly new prices on this stuff so check it out before you buy and know your prices before buying. Me and other people have told the shop keeper that we are interested in several items but that the price is just too high and the manager of this establishment would not listen to us as this is a pawn / re sale shop not retail and the items are mostly used / previously owned and if want to sell more stuff you need to sell at about 50% of what retail prices not asking nearly full retail on it.
Now lets see about all of the tools they have well the tools they have many items that they carry DeWalt, Milwaukee, Makita, B&D, most of these items are used and they are asking above retail on most of these items. They have some Mechanics tools like a Snap On Impact looks almost new with a case but this was a Nearly about 475$ tool but they have 300$ on this item used item about 50% so about 240 would be more realistic lots of other tools most of the mechanics hand tools either are missing pieces or that they are old to the point where it is hard to find items to match it to complete the set. Air tools way over priced mostly Craftsman which they are asking about full retail on and then some no name brands like tool shop, Chicago pneumatic which are junk in terms of durability and they again ask nearly full retail. If you want to figure out how long some of the stuff has been sitting there on the shelf well there is a date code on all of the items first 2 digits indicate the day of the month and the second 2 indicate the month it was bought so on the right side of the sticker near the price will say like 1107 so they item came in on the 7th of july. Some of the stuff I have seen as I go there once in a while some times a few times in a week to see if they have anything that has changed and you see that they try to move stuff around to make you think they got in new stuff. Sometimes you do find a diamond in the rough there. Also it is very obvious to me that the owner goes and buys stuff at other stores to bring new merchandise into the store to have people look and buy some of that stuff and entice people to buy the other random stuff in there
If you try to negotiate with them about price well they will only like usually go down a dollar or two on an item or they offer you the item out the door with a reduction in sales tax. Offered on a 225$ item that would realistically sell for about 160$ and they said the best they could do was 220 out the door. Also the return policy not really honest if you have an item or change your mind after 1 day of buying it they charge 20% restocking fee they do not offer you store credit they just shaft you the 20%.

Custom ordered a Mesa Boogie Rectoverb 25 Combo with Pat earlier this year. He helped me out choosing the grill, cabinet cover, piping (wine taurus cab cover, tan grille, white piping). He gave me a great deal on the whole package and it cost what I would pay online but I got in-person service. The amp came even faster than he predicted and it was stunning. The amp of a lifetime. Highly recommended. Pat I think is the owner and he goes out of his way to help you find the right gear without the salesman pressure of the big chain music stores. They have a great selection of high end stuff (PRS, Mesa, Gretsch, G&L) much better than the big chain stores which mostly favor Gibson, Fender. Check them out.

Horrible. They worked on my amp and it took over a month and after getting fed up and chewing them off they gave me the bill…. it cost me the same as the amp was worth. These guys are shady as hell. Stay away.

Özgür is the one of the sensitivest luthiers of I have ever met before. He listents to wood before he gives a new life to it, he listens to his clients (artist) to be able to create what they need and he listens to music to be able to imitate it in every corner of his life. He is a good guy and very talented. Trust him and give a part of your artistic future to his artful hands…..
Özgür is one of the most talented luthiers of his generation. I have tried violas for my own students before and my students bought them. You should definitely check out his instruments. He is also a very kind person.

Elegant Ensembles provided music for my daughter’s wedding. The quartet sounded wonderful both outside in a covered pavilion (during the ceremony) and inside a house (during the cocktail hour afterward). Owner April Berkowski was very helpful in answering my questions and helped us compile a list of songs for the occasion. Highly recommended!
I had the pleasure of working with Elegant Ensembles at a wedding. I was so impressed with their professionalism and the of course the beautiful music! I also have to make note of the quality of their sound…it’s one thing to play good music, but to make that music sound clear and flawless in the middle of a forest, that was especially impressive!! I bought a trumpet from PJLA Music a PHAETON Trumpet PHT-2040 Black Chrome Onyx plated finish with 24 K Gold Plated finger buttons, top/bottom caps & water keys. I have been playing trumpet for 40 years and I have never had a better horn then this. I got it and starting playing and it played freely and was open and the horn allowed me to do as i wished with it and truly went over the top with its performance.. Thank you for my Horn!

Today was my first time in the store. The tags had the wrong size. The xxl was actually a L and the L were labeled at xl. At checkout I was not aware of the bag policy, and right after we paid for the stuff I waited for the cashier to place our things in the bag, but she just started with the next customers. I asked if we could have a bag and she said we had to buy them. I wouldn’t have minded paying for the bags but the cashier didn’t even make me aware I had to buy them in the first place. I had to carry my things all the way to my car because the cashier was already done with us and moved on to other people :[

Both my kids have been drumming it with Zach for more than a year and they are enjoying the learning process here. Zach and the other substitute teachers are attentive and good at keeping the boys interested. The classes are casual but effective. Zach even organized a drum recital last year and it was well received by both the students and parents. The academy also organizes annual recitals which keeps everyone engaged.
Love this Music Academy teachers are so nice so knowledgble my son goes every week and he enjoys it hes having fun as well as learning Piano.. highly recommmended
Not happy with the recent changes
The manager is completely incompetent. I came at 3pm on a Friday to just purchase strings. The worker said the manager will be in in 5 minutes. After I waited she called saying that she actually won’t be in for another 3 hours as and doesn’t allow her workers to accept money. Trust issues, poor customer service and good business dont go together.
Extremely rude. Called with a question about their service and was rushed off the phone as I was clearly a nuicanse with my simple question

Their management is horrible. The owner just keep taking new students when they are not capable to manage everything. It’s hard to communicate with the owner for scheduling. She just couldn’t handle everything by herself and if you bring your concern, the owner always complains that she has more than 300 students and she is the only one works there! That is her problem and if she needs help she needs to hire more people!!
And they have a worst substitute who is not prepare for the lesson.
My child’s teacher is great and my son likes him very much but it’s just the owner who does not know how to operate the place.

I worked with Jeff B (store manager) and Trevor In Itasca and helped me get my daughter a new “stunt” clarinet for her first year at UNL marching band. They were helpful in providing information and advice and helped me make sure it was ready to play. Great experience.
I went in for saxophone service on a student horn. Jeff Bosacki is a sax player and store manager.
He was super helpful!! We needed a maintenance kit and he sold me a 20% off item because it was missing a part we didn’t need. He recommended a mouthpiece and ligature (the reason we went in) that actually gave my son a better tone but wasn’t the $150 mouthpiece.
He even tested the horn and told me it could use a tune up but it was ok until summer so my son won’t be without a horn for a week during school.
Really a top notch experience and they won a loyal customer.
Customer service has been absolutely horrendous. I’ve tried to contact them and after waiting for over 10 minutes the system drops the call.

Just came back from doing a clarinet rental, one of our worst experiences. Took more than 30 minutes for what was a 5 minute job. Made me sign up online for an account and do partial payments there and partial payments in the store. Store front desk seemed too busy with their office work to help the customers in the store.
Working with David is amazing. From basic things all the way to things like ear training, and music theory. There is so much to learn from David. I most appreciated the honest feedback, this has had an enormous impact on my progress. David has also helped me create goals around what I most want to create with my music.
David is a wonderful singing coach! He is super friendly and easy to work with. He really brought out my voice capabilities I never knew I had. I highly recommend signing up for lessons with David!
I met David through a friend. I bought a cheap guitar online that kept going out of tune and my friend gave me Dave’s number. I met with him about a week later and he fixed it for me-no charge. He offered me a free guitar lesson. I like his style of teaching, really laid back and patient. He’s also got a pretty extensive background in music including his own band which is cool (you know he’s not BSing and knows what he’s doing). I can tell he loves music and enjoys sharing that with others. I’ve been taking lessons now for over 6 months about every other week. He’s got a pretty flexible schedule. Sometimes we meet weekday evenings, sometimes weekends, it really just depends on my schedule. This has been a personal goal for me since I turned 25 and it feels great to finally be moving forward and learning. I feel confident that David could teach anyone to play.
