Great relaxing environment and the food is Incredible!
This was one of the most unexpectedly delightful dining experiences I have had in a long time. The food was amazing and the service was fantastic. The atmosphere was genuinely charming. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.
What a gem! Chad and his team treated us to a great dining experience. What a great group of friendly people. We made the short drive over from Winter Park – BBQ is top notch! We will return, top of our list for places to dine.
We went for Sunday brunch, the food was fresh, flavorful and staff was friendly. It would be nice to have more variety for brunch, maybe some desserts but overall the food was good.
Good small place to eat.
A beautiful place to visit
Deep dish pizza was straight up dough. Bow tie pasta was horrible dry and wierd sauce. Cool atmosphere but either you must be drunk to choke down the food or your friends post fake reviews.
Closed on weekdays.
They’re not good at keeping their menu online up-to-date, there was supposed to be Pizza but instead there were tacos. They had elk, steak, chicken and blackened cod tacos. The elk and steak were coated in a sauce that absolutely covered up what should have been good meat. The blackened cod, well there’s nothing to really say about this. They were lean on help and a couple of kids helped attend our table. For all of the great reviews on here, I have to chalk it up to people being away for the weekend with good friends and family.
3. GLENWOOD MUSIC
Address: 3102 Blake Ave D, Glenwood Springs, CO 81601 , Hot Sulphur Springs , Colorado , United States
Great guitar, synth, keyboard, and audio selection, super nice guys, ND great prices. What’s not to love?
I bought a wonderful “carry on piano” and the staff was nice and generous to allow us play a couple of instruments . So much fun
I take lessons there and I bought two guitars there. I strongly recommend you go see for yourself how cool this store is ! They know so much too ! Thank you !
I may have never purchased anything from this store, but they have a kickass mural of a gorilla playing a Flying V on the side of the building and it rules. The gorilla is probably playing “Cemetery Gates” by Pantera at full blast.
Took guitar lessons, glade I did..
Hay todo tipo de instrumentos a precios razonables
Very disrespectful people. I hate spending my money there but it’s the only local music store 🙁
I took my guitar in to sell on consignment. I was told I would be called when it sold. After 2 weeks I called to see if it sold. I was then told it had sold the week before but I never was called by the owner. When I went in to get my portion of the money, the owner was very standoffish and if he had been a bit more approachable I would have told him how he never called me to tell me it sold. Luckily I won’t have any reason to go back there for any reason!
Some nice people working at this store, but unfortunately the guitar tech with the beard is so rude, egotistical, mean, and basically the opposite of customer service, that I would not be able to make any major purchases from this store. I certainly would not let them lay hands on any of my instruments. Fine if you want some strings or picks, but if you ask for a serious recommendation, you will likely be insulted rather than given any useful help. Unfortunately for the owner, guitar techs at any level are hard to fine. If you don’t like your job bro, quit and get a new job, it’s nobody’s fault except your own. Music is a social hobby, so maybe it’s just not for you.
4. Campus Music Store & Studios
Address: 907 16th St, Greeley, CO 80631 , Hot Sulphur Springs , Colorado , United States
Very helpful! Got my first guitar here years ago! WILL DICKSON and JAGUAR JAKE are juts ignorant and mad! THE WORLD DOESNT REVOLVE AROUND YOU insignifiCUNTS!!
Closed when it says 24 hours and store is a mess
5. Alpine Music Exchange
Address: 3997 Evergreen Pkwy, Evergreen, CO 80439 , Hot Sulphur Springs , Colorado , United States
I really liked this store! There is a huge selection of vinyl and CDs. The musical instruments are nice. There is a good variety of different accessories and items for the instruments that they carry. I told my wife that if I lived in the area we would have a lot less money!
Lindo lugar , mucha historia musical! Me encantó.
Been buying guitars and ukelele here for 8 years . Can’t ask for more from these guys locally. They do everything they can for us .
I didn’t go here for the selection of musical instruments, but they do have quite a bit. I went here to dive into their record bins. They have a pretty good selection at reasonable prices. Check it out if you are in town!
Tons of awesome used CDs and vinyl.
He does great guitar work and setups! Great prices for service and some used gear. The best music store in evergreen for sure. Nice guy, helpful, knowledgable, great guitar tech, and they have a decent selection of used and new gear. Worth a stop in! I take all my guitars to him and he does as good or better than anybody in Denver for a better price.
6. Music Go Round Colorado Springs
Address: 410 W Fillmore St, Colorado Springs, CO 80907 , Hot Sulphur Springs , Colorado , United States
Nice staff lots of good deals on guitars & amps good selection of used and new stomp boxs . Steven was very helpful
A lot to see if you have money.
This place rocks and the employees ate super cool. Do business with them, they’ve got great prices!!!
Really cool place!
Prices are good!
Only suggestion I say is to make sure you look at all details before purchasing, a few thing were wrong when we went.
Good selection of used and vintage gear
just a weird vibe
Not helpful
Took advantage of my wife’s lack of knowledge and sold her an over priced lemon of amp.
I called the store asked if they were taken in drum sets I load the car take it all the way down there take two pieces in the store and another guy says oh we’re not taking drum sets today how high can the employees be in the store this is wrong to have somebody go down there for no reason so my advice to you if you got something to sell don’t take it to them take it somewhere with employees still have brains in their head
7. Steve’s Guitars
Address: 19 N 4th St, Carbondale, CO 81623 , Hot Sulphur Springs , Colorado , United States
Some of the best live music this side of the devide
Steve’s Guitars is a National treasure. Check out all the live streams at grassrootstv.org
Such a unique spot for musician lovers, guitars and other musical instruments cover the walls. I often here some great music playing when I walk by
It’s ok
Intimate, beautiful guitar display. Fun nice place to get to know musicians upclose. Byob.
Intimate venue blanketed in an eclectic collection of guitars. Great for solo or small acts to play in, especially warm acoustics.
This place chronically doesn’t pay their musicians who play there. 50% cut of door sales?? No response when folks try to collect their earnings?? Support local music – not this place.

Super awesome hotel is old but the tubs are a good time.
Kinda like swamp but there’s other people and you have to pay.
They don’t let you drink beer while sitting in the tubs.
From the outside looks beat up and old..but super place to relax and unwind
I would not recommend this place to stay overnight. The rooms are nothing what the website shows. They are very old, rusty, and noisy. When they say the trains are loud, they are. They come thru blowing their horns every 2 hours Not much sleep for a Spa setting. They also aren’t keeping up with the pool area, the windows were dirty and they need to paint. Oh yeah, when they said the town has a place for food ,that’s a joke. There’s a little sandwich stand that was not open and a little gas station with hardly anything . So bring your own food and Don’t stay overnight!!!
9. Music Depot
Address: 2318 W 17th St, Greeley, CO 80634 , Hot Sulphur Springs , Colorado , United States
Amber- Some people have a life. Sometimes people who own a small business needs to be with their family at 7:00 PM. I bet they work more hours a week than you do.
This is my go to place for gear and repairs! They do an amazing job and are helpful with selection of all sorts. Support stores like this that give lessons, repairs and more! Well worth the trip!
The Absolute best place to go for anything music and repairs!! AWESOME customer service, great prices, and friendly people. I don’t typically give reviews but I was so pleased that I couldn’t not praise this place. Recommend 100%!!!!
They had a book I needed.
I purchased a Teton acoustic loved it after a couple of weeks it started to have a lot of buzzing when played that’s to be expected it came with a free set up but to get that done is not a easy thing to do it’s always two weeks from now no appointments! Just bring it in so I don’t think I will be back for the amp or what ever else I needed I will have to pay to have it set up ! And it was in the price ! Not a cheap guitar!
Will not treat your instruments well and provide poor service at a ridiculous rate
Even though the state has been opened up, they still are trying to force people to wear them. Zero stars. I guess spending on small businesses is out. Amazon it is, which is a shame, because I’d prefer to go to a local store.
10. Square Music Company
Address: 2332 Vickers Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80918 , Hot Sulphur Springs , Colorado , United States
Signed my neuro-diverse daughter up for ukelele lessons. She was immediately comfortable with Cordell’s approach. He’s willing to find different ways to teach her and very patient with her. When she gets frustrated, he helps ease her frustration without adding to it. Highly recommend!
I know Cordell and Heather at Square Music are extremely knowledgeable and value integrity and honesty!!! If you need anything music that’s the place to go!!!
Just bought an Ibanez bass guitar from them at a really great price. Cordell was super helpful in making sure that everything worked the way it should and that it would fit my needs. Very happy with my purchase and will definitely buy my consumables from Square moving forward
Dead business. No one answered the door, or phone during normal business hours. Would have liked to drop some $$$ on a local business, but I guess I’ll go to another major retailer.
11. Moondog Music Shop
Address: 1716 W Uintah St, Colorado Springs, CO 80904 , Hot Sulphur Springs , Colorado , United States
I love Moondog Music. Mike is the best! The only person he treats unfairly is himself. I can’t get him to charge me enough for his service on my guitars and mandolin.
Mike, the owner, is a great guy who loves music and is very knowledgeable about instruments. I have bought 2 guitars from him (at a very reasonable price) and extremely satisfied. Mike you Rock.
My favorite music shop in town, Mike knows his guitars
Everyone says this place is always closed when they say that they will be open. Well unfortunately that is the reality I too have experienced. Multiple times I’ve tried to visit during posted operating hours but I can never seem to catch the store open. I’ll keep trying though maybe they need some extra help like a part time employee. We need local musical instrument stores or all there’s gonna be is guitar center.
I was sent here while on the hunt for a violin and was very excited to see everything from the window. It says its supposed to open at 11 but its 1120, windy, cold, and there is no sign of them opening. Unfortunately due to time constraints I will need to take my business to Guitar Center.
Not that great, I went in there with high expectations and came out disappointed. First, I got blatantly ignored, the person who worked there was talking to another person and didn’t acknowledge my existence, He didn’t say anything like ”I’ll be with you in one moment” NOTHING! I stood there awkwardly for about 10 minutes, finally the guy stopped catching up with the other customer and got to me quite UN- enthusiastically.
Stopped by to get a guitar and they are closed. Wish I would have know this, I wouldn’t have drove across town to come here.
12. Music Go Round
Address: 2925 S College Ave, Fort Collins, CO 80525 , Hot Sulphur Springs , Colorado , United States
Brought my bass in for a quick electronics repair. Reasonable price, helpful & friendly staff, and some beautiful instruments on sale!
This place is awesome! I always find high quality instruments, gear & accessories, and the best prices around. The staff is amazing! Everyone is super knowledgeable, and willing to go above & beyond to help.
Awesome used gear for really reasonable prices. Excellent staff and very knowledgeable.
Pretty cool…!!!
Good deals and knowledgeable staff .
Pricey stuff. But good condition. Great service. Would love to go back and see what else I may want to get in the future
Mr. Brandon Barrios:
I went to Music Go Around today on purpose to give a local business my money rather than Amazon. I left right away, however, as your shopkeeper responded in an unfriendly manner that I was not wearing a mask. I explained that we are an asthmatic family and his ungenerous response was, “I’m an asthmatic, too, and I’m wearing a mask.” It is your prerogative to wear a mask and force your customers to do so, but it is also my prerogative to take my business where I’m not forced to wear a mask that hinders my breathing and does little to nothing to stop the bad flu called covid-19. You just lost the $500-$1000 I was prepared to spend.
Good music store but don’t sell them your musical instruments – they value everything on ebay and offer you less than 10% of its value. Offered me $50 for a very old German violin which I sold on craigslist for $800 which was about the value of the instruments I could see them looking at to compare against on ebay
Seeminly not kid friendly. Employee was not ok with my child holding a guitar, even with 2 adults supervising him. Told us it was ‘too nice’ and redirected us to a wall with guitars priced the same amount. Really discouraged him and we felt too uncomfortable to continue shopping and left. Post signs to not touch or ask for assistance if you have this problem. We’ll continue my son’s musical journey elsewhere.
Edit: i was only just notified of your response. My friend and I are baffled that you’re saying we would talk about smashing a guitar. Especially after stressing to my son that we have to be gentle and careful with them. That is digisting. I handed him the guitar because that was one of the ones that caught his eye because it was in his favorite color. Imagine that, someone liking the color of a guitar and choosing their first one because of that. We also did not immediately walk to the back of the store. We looked at symbols, then bass guitars. My son was in a wagon because he had a broken leg and couldn’t walk. Which meant that guitar was on his lap, in a safe position, again surrounded by adults. I didn’t want any help by your other staff because we felt uncomfortable, as I stated before. My friend was looking for the things he was looking for. They were not the same thing that my son and I were looking for. It’s ok, though, because my son and I purchased a $1200 guitar at a different location, and he’s been taking his lesson seriously as well as taking very good care of it.
13. Graner School of Music
Address: 4460 Barnes Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80917 , Hot Sulphur Springs , Colorado , United States
Every time I shop here I get music tips for free that help me become a better musician. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. It is easy to rent and instrument and they have high quality instruments. I would recommend this place to any musician. It
Joy was fantastic in assisting me today.
I absolutely love Graner Music. Charlotte Baker, the owner, is incredibly professional, knowledgeable and personable. If I have ever had a less than stellar experience, they were more than stellar in making it right immediately. Their prices are very reasonable, especially for the rental of their exceptional recital hall. I am consistently amazed!
Great place for kids to get musical lessons, voice lessons and books and instruments. They also do repairs here
Very helpful. Explained all contracts well, good with kids, instructors onsite. Staff helpful.
Great service, very helpful!
Currently not open until further notice. Note on door. Should have made changes to website to reflect such
Rental beware! I started a rent to own process about 2015 payed on the instrument for about 4 years and thought so myself hmmm how much is a viola? And why have I payed about $1000 for this one? Their response was wow you definitely don’t owe us anymore money, you over paid, however we do not offer refunds! Wait what? If you do not pay attention they will just keep taking your money and not give it back. Two stars because at least they were nice about. So now I have an instrument that was way over priced.
The people who work here are complete elitists. If you don’t have a $15k instrument they will repeatedly refer to your instrument as “cheap” and make comments like “If you ever want to upgrade to a decent instrument make sure you come back and see us.” My instrument is $2k so perhaps in the grand scheme of things it is on the lower end, but I don’t at all understand their sales tactic of trying to belittle you and your instrument. It was such a poor experience, both in-store and on the phone. Go someplace that doesn’t make you feel less than.
14. Hot Sulphur Springs
Address: Colorado 80451 , Hot Sulphur Springs , Colorado , United States
Awesome guitars. Very high quality. Some of the best in the world.
Quite possibly the nicest guitars I’ve ever touched. Jerry was very nice and accommodating when I just stopped in to see the store. Highly recommended!
‘Very happy to see a fine quality master luthier such as Jerry Brown located in the North Fork Valley. Brown studied under master luthier Ervin Somogyi, whose influence is reflected strongly in Olden Guitars’ ultra-fine quality custom instruments. I was fortunate to get a tour of the workshop as several superb musical instruments were in the process of being repaired and restored, and then again several weeks later when those restorations were complete. Jerry Brown’s expertise and technical skill which I saw in these restorations, and also in his signature works in the showroom are at the conservatory or museum quality level. I would highly recommend Olden Guitars for a unique custom fine collectible guitar, or restoration and repair on any fine musical instrument.
We were looking for a professional Getzen 3062AFR bass trombone online for WEEKS, when we came across this store. We were able to get the Getzen 3062AFR bass trombone used (but in impecable condition) for an excellent price. A new Getzen 3062AFR is very expensive, so we eagerly bought it. As we purchased it, Gina was very helpful and gave us photos and a thorough description of the instrument. As the product shipped, we were frequently updated on where it was on its process. An amazing store.
Ordered a used king trombone. Was in really good condition. No surprise damages or anything, I’d order from here again
Gina is a consummate musical instrument expert, especially when it comes to Flutes, Horns, and the litany of Brass Band instruments. I reached out via email to her business after hours and received a return phone call immediately and she proceeded to run me thru the gamut of her Saxophone collection on hand and educated me on each and every one I inquired about and lastly she offered an a phenomenal deal on a mint condition Sax that I would have been foolish to bypass. To top it all off she had the instrument overnighted to me (unbeknownst to me). My inspection proved that she was spot on in her description on the instruments condition. I can’t give enough accolades to Gina and her team. Thanks a million Gina!!!
Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Great selection of nice guitars. Free service after the sale.
I would like to thank spotlight music for their quick response and service for me in purchasing a guitar from them . Was very pleased with the way they shipped it in a timely manner and the way they packaged it. Thank you again and would definitely recommend and purchase from you again!!!!
Great store, great people, excellent work…I’ll be back.
nice selection of guitars and equipment ,and associated equipment … of string’s piks & suff!
The atmosphere is friendly, and this is clearly not a corporate chain establishment. Unfortunately, they no longer carry Taylor guitars.
.
I’ve got a Breedlove Stage Pursuit, 7 years old, played nearly an hour every day. Prob needs some setup by July 1 for getting back on-platform at Timberline Church. Do you have a tech available (a number of guitar stores – including Guitar Center – say they don’t have one anymore) who could do the work? Would love not to have to drive up to Cheyenne or down to Denver. Thanks.
These people are the biggest rip-off artists in the world.
Selling defective guitars and equipment. ..
These are all factory seconds, and cheap cheap cheap Chinese knock offs…
We called to verify that they repaired musical instruments. When we got there, the desk person (who was NOT the repair person) said that they don’t really work on my brand of saxophone because they couldn’t get parts for it.
Having worked as an instrument repair person, I told them that no parts needed to be replaced, that it was a lever that needed to be moved in front of another lever, and it was a 15 minute job.
They grudgingly took the sax, but then called and left a message at my home without even allowing the repairman to look at it.
Beyond disgusted. Go someplace where your instrument can be fixed.
Flea markets have better warranty support
Cable companies have better customer service
Any Questions?
18. D’Angelico Guitars Aspen Showroom
Address: 240 S Mill St Suite #201, Aspen, CO 81611 , Hot Sulphur Springs , Colorado , United States
Best guitar shop I’ve ever been in. I stopped in on a whim after seeing all of the eye candy in the windows. I received a warm friendly welcome. I play bass. After some friendly conversation, I tried out an acoustic model and bought it on the spot. I feel I got a fair to very good price that included free shipping. I flew home on Tuesday and my new souvenir from Aspen arrived on Wednesday…polished and in tune. Awesome experience. Highly recommended!
The most relaxed guitar shop ever. No pressure. Just enjoy being around quality pieces, and fellow guitar enthusiasts, and scope out a nice selection of vinyl. If you’re lucky, there may even be a puppy or two to pet…
Place is amazing
Great find- been playing guitars for decades and happened to stumble across this store.
Very impressed with the guitars and the showroom.
The store manager was very helpful and explained the brand in detail to my friend who accompanied me. He was knowledgeable, friendly and NOT pushy.
Def felt comfortable inside the store with their couches. Place was well appointed and very clean and tidy!
The guitars seemed well built and had great action and time.
Def considering this brand when I’m ready to increase the guitar herd.
Beautiful guitars! Walking into the store, you see the beautiful guitars and equipment out and ready to play. The staff here was nice and welcoming. Sadly, I’ve bought too many guitars in my life and couldn’t get another for the guitar’s sake. If, in the future, I ever want to buy another (for some reason), this is probably going to be the first place I look. Overall, I absolutely recommend these guitars for their good prices and amazing craftsmanship.
8/10
19. Harrelson Music Inc
Address: 1900 Railroad Ave F, Rifle, CO 81650 , Hot Sulphur Springs , Colorado , United States
My go-to music store! They always have what I need and there’s absolutely no one better for instrument repair in NoCo.
I’ve known the owner for many years and have trusted his experience, product knowledge and customer service for my purchases and the purchases of my students. I’ve worked with several school and couldn’t do without the high level of service and support provided by DrumsWest. Top notch store for your percussion and sound needs!
The people who work here are really nice. I buy sheet music here often, and various other things. Love this place!!
Fixed my nieces trumpet right up. Friendly staff. Wide variety of instruments.
Usually pretty great.
Very helpful, with lots of product options.
Go anywhere else but here!! They quote times for repairs that are so far off. My daughter has waited for her instrument for a month (when it was estimated to take 2-3 weeks) and they just told me another 2 weeks.
They told me I didn’t need instrument insurance for normal wear and tear, and then stung me with the bill that was equivalent to insurance anyway.
This is not the only music place in town….go find another place!
Find an alternative place! Owner is not reasonable businessman. Zero stars if there was one.
Products are heavily marked up, sometimes even twice as much as they should be selling for. Several years ago I purchased a Hercules stand for my instrument and it cost $52. I checked online a couple months later for the same product and it was only $30 on Amazon or through Guitar Center. The only thing decently priced is reeds. Shop elsewhere for music, products, and even instrument care.
Repair shop is okay for emergency repairs, but nothing more than that. The pads they use are really cheap and the quality of the repairs is sub par. They put a pad that was too large on my instrument, causing a hum, so I had to bring the instrument back in. Take your instrument to a well-established technician who will do it right and outlast the so-called repairs they perform here, saving you money in the long run.
