I love Walmart. Best store ever. Never had a ride person take care of me. They are all friendly and very helpful. Way to go Newport Walmart
Okay I love wall-e world. So amazing
It’s a Walmart
Not as selection for me as neighborhood market
Walmart is so great
I don’t appreciate that I have to check and bag my own groceries, where are all the workers? Walmart is getting free workers because they’re definitely not coming down on their prices.
All self checkout…
The majority of the pharmacy staff is rude and needs retrained in people skills.

Been coming to Randy’s for years. He’s got a good selection of stringed instruments and he’s knowledgeable. Just a great little shop.
Randy is very talented! He’s very patient, and great at teaching beginning musicians!
This is a great store to visit for all your music needs Randy is sweet and very enjoyable talking to very knowledgeable if you get the chance go see him
Not a super big store with lots of options but they have the things I need
Selection consists of mainly guitars, basses and a few country oriented instruments. Limited selection.
Great store
Biggest piece of trash you’ll ever meet in your life.

I was in the process of buying a guitar from lane and then saw the Google reviews which I was very alarmed by. I talked to lane and looked into it. The people who left the reviews are a group of girls in NY who never bought a guitar in their life. If you want the real reviews go to his business website or Facebook page.
just called to ask about acoustics and he talked to me like i was completely incompetent. so disrespectful
I would give this place zero stars if I could. Lane is truly scum of the earth. Abuser is an understatement.
you should never buy from this store or lane. he is a horrible person and lies about every product he sells. every thing i bought was broken and he refused to refund me.

Great customer service, helped me out when I didnt know what to do.
The staff at Quattlebaum are helpful and knowledgeable and the prices are fair and competitive. Great hometown service!
Have a good size collection of instruments.
Small, quiet, local run music store. Good prices and owned by a knowledgeable friendly man who is happy to answer your questions. I’ll definitely be returning.
Very friendly and helpful. Really nice place .
good music store
I’ve purchased things from here before, but today, I felt as though my business was not wanted. I took a violin in due to having issues tuning it and the bridge popping off. Was told what I need to do. Told them thank you and asked my daughter if she wanted to look around. Was told to have a nice day. Was not asked if I needed help with anything else. Employee just walked away
Very rude to my wife and all she did was ask a queston please don’t do business with these people we don’t need rude people in this town.
They are selling stolen property.
8. Goodwill Store and Donation Center
Address: 2500 Malcolm Ave D, Newport, AR 72112 , Jackson County , Arkansas , United States
Store was clean and well organized. Bessie was really friendly and helpful.
amy is amazing!
The store looked really good when I went in today. Amy is doing really good with her employees.
You got to dig in and search but you can find some killer deals
I love this store. Staff are always helpful. The girl in the back that does career readiness is great, she’s helped me with a resume several times. The only complaint I have is that the carts don’t fit newborn car seats like the carts at Walmart do. You have to set the baby in the back of the cart. Which is fine for the most part, except if you plan on being there a while you’ll need an extra cart. I have never seen any bugs at this Goodwill!!
They just don’t have very much that I’m interested in
This place is awful. I rather go to Jonesboro store.
Managers are extremely rude! The place is NOT clean. Never going back. I’ve given it a few different chances. It also smells half the time!
They are awful. The people there are rude. I’ve ask a girl from the back a question before and a male. They were both rude as heck. That’s no way to run a company. The clothes are way over priced for it being used things. Too crammed in. No one wants to shop when it’s beyond awful. They aren’t helpful. They need new managers, or to be shut down all together. It don’t benefit a d*** soul.

These guys are probably the most generous and selfless marketing business owners I’ve met. They give the highest amount they can for your things and sell their inventory at a fraction of the potential profit just for the sake of offering the community a good sale and good service. It’s a rare thing and myself and a lot of people who buy/sale tools and music equipment hope that this business prospers. They could buy a million dollar relic for $100 and refuse to sell it for anything over a small profit based off what they have in it. Good people.
Awesome people!!
This pawn shop buys stolen property and are rude. Police told me I could get my property back but this pawn shop wants me to buy my own stuff back. Doesn’t that make them to be in possession of stolen property too? Don’t buy anything from them because it could be stolen items.

14. McDonald’s
Address: 2500 Malcolm Ave, Newport, AR 72112 , Jackson County , Arkansas , United States
The worst McDonalds we ever went to. Had to wait 25 minutes for our food, only had one ahead of us. The staff was not friendly no Thank you or a smile. After the long wait the food was cold and our order wasn’t completed.. The Cheese wasn’t even melted on the cheese burger. When I ask the lady for ketchup, she walked away and had to reach over the counter to get a few packages. We were very disappointed in the food and the service. Won’t be back.
15. Walk the Line
Address: 133 Sid Holt Rd, Newport, AR 72112 , Jackson County , Arkansas , United States
This shop always makes me feel at home. Brad really helped me pick the perfect acoustic fit to my liking while engaging me in some humorous conversation. I highly recommend checking these guys out!
As the great Ron Swanson said: “In general, I try never to speak with people . . . You should know my recommendation is essentially a guarantee.” I have a similar perspective and cannot recall the last time I left a review for anything online.
tldr: Palmer Music, and specifically Bear Alanis there, provided fantastic service and treated me like they would a friend, despite being a stranger.
The high E on my Taylor 314ce was muted/buzzing quite a bit; the previous tech in my local area said they were not able to hear it, despite it being quite noticeable to me. I had taken it to them to try and avoid driving almost 3 hours to the nearest gold rated Taylor service shop (Palmer Music Co). When I contacted them, Bear was very responsive and respectful, and even tried to help rule out issues that I could fix myself to keep me from having to drive there. In the end, I had to take it there and I am glad I did.
He immediately heard the buzzing/muted sounds (which confirmed that I wasn’t crazy). He was respectful and friendly, and did an excellent job. When I went to check out, he insisted I pay only a small amount, saying he felt bad that I had to drive so far and that he was just happy to have been able to help. I tried to pay more, but he wouldn’t have it. If I need any of my guitars serviced again, I am happy to make a day trip to their store.
A bunch of nerds work here. 10/10 would come again
I was looking at electric guitars and they didn’t offer to let me plug any of them in. How are you truly going to know if you like one or not if you can’t hear the sound.
My guitar was in for repairs for about 4 months. Almost no communication was provided about status of the repair work. It’s understandable with Covid making it difficult to have parts shipped, but the lack of adequate communication was uncomfortably disappointing. I don’t blame the young individual who was working on my guitar, but rather leadership who should have provided direction on appropriate and timely customer service communication. It doesn’t matter to me that it would have taken considerable time for repairs. But the lack of communication stating that due to a backlog in parts, and it was just a waiting game, would have been enough. A 30 second phone call every couple of weeks or so to advise a customer that no progress has been made is better than nothing…it would have been enough to have left my guitar there for months longer. The ironic thing about all this is that I really like the store and the people at Palmer Music, so I will most likely continue to purchase my music supplies from them and I hope my experience there was a one-off….
Talked to Joey in the store today. He took some time to help me plan for an upcoming purchase for our church. They have a large selection of all kinds of musical instruments and they do lessons, as well. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Highly recommended! Thanks, Joey!
Go to GUITAR CENTER instead (you can actually have FUN there).
Went in expecting to buy a new guitar on 01/26/2023. The man behind the counter was very unfriendly & unhelpful.
I found one I wanted to buy but I just didn’t really want to give my money to a person who didn’t know how to smile.
Another employee walked by and was even more emotionless than the other guy. I left feeling very unwelcome.
I will not be back.
17. Endless Audiofade Productions
Address: 9 Dogwood Ln, Batesville, AR 72501 , Jackson County , Arkansas , United States
Prompt and friendly service. I brought in two guitars for a full setup and they had them working as good as new the same day. Excellent work!
Great repairs and set up’s I’ve experienced on several instruments over the years! The only friend you need for your instrument. Little Rock Fret will keep you pick’n!
Owner is knowledgeable about all makes of any guitar, will fix just about anything broken.
Nice, friendly environment. This guys is experienced in his craft and genuine in the way he conducts business. A rare find these days.
Great spot, super amount of knowledge and experience with repairs among other services. Same problem everybody else has with out of stock items here and there.
I took my 2001 Les Paul to Bryon and Dave in February 2019 for a basic set up. I bought it new and always stored it in the case and very rarely had it out. Very careful with it. The guitar only had one very small blemish on the front. When I got it back it had several deep dents on top edge close to the back and a couple dents in the back itself. They swear they did not damage it but I know for a fact it wasn’t damaged when I dropped it off. I had just polished it before I took it there. Bryon had promised it would be ready Saturday the 23RD and it was not. He then told me it would be ready the following Monday which it was. I’m not sure if they just got in a hurry or what exactly happened but they pointed to the paperwork stating they were not responsible for any damage…. Not a good way to run a business. I should have inspected it and made note of any defect with them before dropping it off. Lesson learned!!!
After many attempts trying to visit this place because it has been closed. I finally went into the store today and found the guy Dave not to be very friendly or welcoming. So I only stayed a few minutes. I won’t ever be back!
Took a vintage martin guitar for repair. Ended up with a bad experience. I’ll just leave it at that.
19. Renown Music
Address: 104 W F Ave, North Little Rock, AR 72116 , Jackson County , Arkansas , United States
Courteous staff, knowledgeable and clean premises. Highly recommended!
I have been going to Renown music for about a year now. They are fair on their prices. Brandon really cares about his customers. Here’s the thing. There is an employee there named Bob who did my setup from my American Strat. I have had issues with the Strat for about 10 years and I thought about selling it. I took it to Renown music and Bob got the fret buzz out and also set it up with a very low action. Which I thought was impossible. The intonation was perfect! I was shocked on what a really good setup can do for your guitar. The guitar has never played and sounded so good!
I love this place. My kid loves this place. He looks forward to his drum lessons every week.
