If you want a guitar this is the place! The employees are very knowledgeable and know how to play! I highly recommend.
Keith has a great attitude about his duty and repair guy.
He is off Thursday and Friday so maybe try him during the week.
Everyone else was super helpful and willing to support your questions.
Nice store
Good selection of instruments and supplies. Vinyl as well, but all new LPs not vintage.
Kids enjoy hanging behind the counter more than discerning customer needs. Seemingly not trained in the breadth of most musical voices, but rather, specializing….and not too impressive. Sometimes, paying just a bit more at long time competitor is worth it.
Very cool place whether you’re a musician or not. I’ve had the staff members help me several times and they’ve always been very knowledgeable and helpful and friendly when I needed their help.
It amazes me that no employee ever seems to approach customers
The prerequisite to work here is to not give a darn. I’ve been here several times and each time I’ve gone the employees were equally unhelpful. It seems that they are in competition with each other to avoid coming up with solutions. You can save your time by taking this advice straight from the mouths of thier employees, “Nope, we don’t have it. You can go online and see if you can order it.” Trust me when I say, the majority of what they do have can also be bought online and Amazon will be less expensive and it will arrive in less time. So, having a brick mortar shop is useless when it’s employees are there to send you online to shop. It’s ridiculous. Very disappointed.
I will start my review by saying that the customer service representatives that I have encountered at this store have all been incredibly helpful and kind. My issue is with my last two attempts to buy used gear from different stores and have it shipped to this location for local pick up. A few months ago I attempted to purchase a Gallien Krueger bass amp that was listed used at a different location and have them ship it to this store. I came into this location and paid at the counter so that they could transfer the funds to the appropriate store so that it could be reserved and shipped to my location. Upon paying for it, I was informed by a member of the staff that I would have my amp within a few business days, give or take for shipping. What actually happened was nearly a month of me having to call both this location and the location that had the amp on a near daily basis for updates on where my amp was. I was told multiple times that the funds were not properly transferred between the stores, I was also told on at least 3 separate occasions that the amp had already been shipped, only to be told the next day that the Kennesaw store STILL hadn’t transferred my money properly and that the amp was still sitting in Michigan. I also lost count of the amount of times I was given the phrase “Let me look into that and call you back” only to never receive a call back, it must have happened at least 6 different times. So after this experience I was skeptical of buying used gear through guitar center, but I recently found a great deal on a used Legator Ninja 7 through a different store and decided to give them another chance, so I purchased the guitar online and set the shipping preference to be delivered to the Kennesaw location. I went in to pick up the guitar and it turned out that it had not been packaged properly and the finish had been damaged in shipping. There was about an inch wide crack in the paint near the corner of the top hip with about a quarter inch of exposed wood. Now clearly I cannot blame the Kennesaw store for the damage, it was clearly an issue with it not being packaged correctly by the store who sold it, but this blemish was still a pretty big deal for me. They offered to either give me the guitar for $50 off + a refund of the cost of shipping, but I did not want a damaged guitar and the discount was not nearly enough to cover what it would cost to have it professionally refinished, so opted for a full refund. I left the store feeling annoyed at the situation, but not upset at the store. What upset me is seeing that they relisted that same guitar back on the website the next day at the exact same price that I paid for it, using the old pictures that do not show the damage, and putting nothing in the description about the damage at all. It’s shady and dishonest and leaves a bad taste in my mouth, and from now on I have zero interest in buying used equipment through Guitar Center ever again.

Kevin is awesome. His expertise is unmatched. Wouldn’t dream of taking my clarinet repairs anywhere else.
I have been playing professionally for fifty years and have seen many mediocre repair shops . North Georgia Horn Works is not one of those . If you want mediocre work don’t go there . If you want good honest work and care about the quality of the workmanship go there . The first time I used North Georgia was to repair a repair from another shop .
Excellent service and quick turnaround. Very pleasant owners. Definitely recommend. Great prices.
Very organized and knowledgeable staff.
