Great selection of all records, CDs and all music related. Great customer service.
Fun little record store, plus the carry instruments!
great record store not far off I – 70. I was on a snowboarding vacation and Affordable Music was on my way back to my motel in Leadville. So I stopped in and found some gems on vinyl. Motown, 4 Seasons, and Julie London albums. Owner, Gary was totally cool and gave me a real great deal on the 4 albums. Was very helpful in trying to find cardboard box for the records for my return flight back home. Plus he had a real friendly dog too!.All kinds of music formats to choose from.
Surprisingly good 45 selection.
Great store, lots of music, plenty of stringed instruments.
Limited selection, average prices
A shambles. Nothing affordable. Maybe okay for guitars, but not music. Looks like a yard sale gone bad. Used vinyl is poor quality, C- vinyl and covers disorganized and twice the price of Denver. Boxes of unsorted records strewn about. New stuff is full list price. Not worth the effort of stopping. Waste of time
Owner is a racist. He harassed my friend for shopping while black , four times AFTER he bought a CD. We went outside and had to show the police his recite.
Great place to shop if you are worried someone is impersonating you. Don’t shop there if you are black, he might call the cops.
I’ve seen The People’s Key at both Highside and Angry James.. Their set was lively and engaging with a great selection of songs. Can’t wait to catch them again.
It’s always a great time when I go listen to Lauren and the fellas of The People’s Key! They’re one of the few bands I’ll go out of my way to see in Summit County, and they never disappoint. Do yourself a favor and check them out.
The People’s Key is an amazing local band who play great music that ensures a fun time for all!! Don’t miss an opportunity to see them play!
3. Len Rhodes Music Inc
Address: 518 Brian Ave unit 26312, Silverthorne, CO 80498 , Keystone , Colorado , United States
Great latte! Also got a pretzel and it was really good. Nice location close to Keystone. Will definitely have to come back for apres.
Coffee or Brews,Your choice! Great Staff and Great selection of Brews, I paired a 10” “El Supremo” pizza with a “Hand warmer Imperial Stout” , on point!! And took a Cold Brew to go..
Noe G/R.
Great coffee shop! The prices are awesome and the service was amazing! Their chai is homemade and amazing!
Okay, sorry no posts on some time. Traveling died down since COVID-19. Steep Brewing Company… Don’t go for the food, it wasn’t even bar food, well what they had left was a reduced menu for an already low choice menu… And over priced for the food, $14.50 for a frozen pizza (I say frozen, they replied with fresh).
The beer though wasn’t that bad. They have a large amount of choices. A lot of fruit infused and coffee infused. Not good for me. The pilsner was weak in flavor, which could be somewhat expected. The IPA had good flavor though. The beers were a bit pricey also, Pint was $7. For Keystone, it’s expected The good tasting IPA will not be the saving grace for me to return to this establishment.
Forgot to write about the staff (edit). Staff was friendly, made me feel welcome. The atmosphere was a normal ski town small bar. Most don’t know but I was a bartender in Summit County many years ago. On the original review I only gave 2 stars, but have to give the staff a star. The fourth star came to because of the fast reply of the original post. The staff, management, or the owner replied within minutes of the post going up. This place cares about taking care of the patrons and wanting them to come back (even with a bad review).
So, finally. Check out Steep for the beer, a lot of craft choices. I came in the “off season.” Did not like the food, but the staff will take care of you and the atmosphere is a small ski resort atmosphere with a hand full of locals and regulars.
We have been here several times now. The coffee is delicious as are the cinnamon rolls. Breakfast sandwiches are good, but the burritos are way overpriced. A basic burrito is $11.50 and has just egg and cheese. I added avocado (as listed on the menu) but got very unappetizing processed guacamole. Couldn’t finish the burrito as the weird guacamole taste was overwhelming. They also put this on the breakfast sandwiches that list avocado as an ingredient.
Great location and friendly staff.
The honey cinnamon cream cheese is very delicious!
☕My chai latte was very very spicey… a bit too much. Which I read a review from 2 days ago that it wasn’t enough..sounds like it just isn’t perfected yet.
❄Our cinnamon roll was unfortunately cold in the middle also.
Waited on line for 30+ minutes, by the time we got up to order they had run out of bacon (an hour before they stopped serving breakfast). Avoid this place if possible, will not be returning.
Hmm, a little confused by the praise for this place. Maybe it’s better as a brewery in the evening. Chairs are all hi-tops and very uncomfortable, so not a good place to hang out and do work. Food was expensive and mediocre. Coffee was solid but a little on the lukewarm side.
Terrible service, got my order wrong, overpriced. But it’s the resort so this won’t impact their business at all…
5. Keystone Sports – Summit House
Address: 100 Dercum Square, Keystone, CO 80435 , Keystone , Colorado , United States
I needed my Martin D-28 Standard setup and a strap button put on the neck. I contacted Bevan at Big Hollow Guitars with the issue. He had me in right away and did the work in front of me in 15 minutes. He also made sure I knew the dos and don’ts of owning a high end guitar in a high altitude extremely dry environment. On top of that, he gave me a look at his current projects. I had a great experience and will most definitely send my instruments to him in the future.
I have had a lot of work done on a number of guitars. Solid, dependable and more than capable. I highly recommend!
Bevon is a fantastic builder and awesome guy. I always take my Northfield mandolin and Bourgeois guitar to him for any fixes or just to check the set up and make sure everything is looking good and feeling good before busy weekends playing shows.
Big Hollow Guitars are so beautiful and meticulously built. I’m blessed to have such a knowledgeable builder right here in Summit County.
This is someone’s house in a neighborhood and not a music or guitar store. Many home (music) businesses sneak their way onto Google maps and it wastes the time and money of people who need to purchase something quickly in a store.
If it is not a storefront, it should not be on Google maps because people waste their time navigating to places which they cannot enter, despite the location being advertised as a location you can drive to, and “open.” I needed picks and strings.
To the owner:
You should advertise this business on appropriate channels like social media and Google Search. Not Google Maps because you are not a storefront. Is your home zoned as a business location? That is what you are communicating with this time wasting listing. Good luck.
7. Loveland Pass Liquors & Market
Address: 22869 US-6 #101, Keystone, CO 80435 , Keystone , Colorado , United States
if you’re not buying your booze at Loveland Liquor then your reality has been compromised. snap out of it take a deep breath or have a smoke and fly over to Loveland Liquor. its cheaper, better quality and supports local business, thats reality brah
Tom was super helpful and friendly. The selection may be a little slim, but I can make due with what they offered. Thanks for your hospitality Tom!
Friendly people, convenient location, great selection.
I read a lot of reviews on this place before going but decided to go since there are not many options in town.
The store is small and has a separate entrance from the grocery market side. The selection is a little less than average but has the basics. I noticed that a lot of the bottles now have price stickers on them and the refrigerated items are also priced. I was worried about that from other reviewers. The prices are indeed inflated but it wasn’t worth the time, gas, and effort to drive out to get something cheaper. Please comment if you have recommendations! I picked up a 6-pack of cans for $9.
The cash register area was interesting. It’s a shared ‘island’ between the grocery store and liquor store. They had one cashier working both sides so he was going back and forth.
I’ll BYOB next time but this place worked in a lazy pinch.
The grocery half is a hole. It makes 7-11 look like the four seasons.
Just here to read the reviews.
If there were other options, we would not have gone there. It is vey sketchy. But since there are so few options to buy things in the Mountain View area, we were forced to deal with the sketchiness of this place to get milk and soda. The only reason for the 2 stars instead of 1 is that at least they are available.
All of the drinks are great! Good deals at happy hour. Love the Irish coffee
This place is okay. Priced a little high but descent food. Kind of a hipster joint if that’s your scene.
The food here is great, you’re definitely paying an upscale price since it’s a resort. We did find that just buying a few of their sides saved money instead of buying their sandwiches. Service is fairly quick, we did try to go again on a Monday when it said it was open and it was closed.
Foods OK… person taking the order rude and abrupt.
Unless you want a lettuce wrap, there’s no vegan lunch options. The BLT uses vegan mayo, but the veggie bacon is made with egg whites. Like what? And they don’t do vegan pastries anymore.
Breakfast burrito was disgusting and overpriced. It was mostly chunks of the fakest egg I’ve ever had and the potatoes were so hard and dry I could barely chew through them. Couldn’t finish it.
Work harder and make a better product – fake microwaved egg is never going to be good.
If you enjoy Walmart-tier sandwiches that give you terrible food poisoning, absolutely apathetic baristas that could not care less about their job, and cramped seating with cringe-inducing boomer decoration, this is the spot for you! And if that’s not enough to put this place at the tippy-top of your Denver bucket list, you’ll be spending A LOT of money for the garbage they serve you up on a platter. If you want overpriced coffee and pastries, play it safe and go to the Starbucks that’s just a walk away- you’ll have a much better experience.
10. Keystone Lift Ticket Office
Address: 208 Hunki Dori Ct, Dillon, CO 80435 , Keystone , Colorado , United States
We had pre- bought lift passes so it was a breeze to get through. We took the gondola up to the shops, restaurants, and snow castle.
Our passes unfortunately didn’t arrive beforehand, but the staff were quick to issue our tickets on arrival and when one of our party had to stop skiing due to injury, they gave a full refund on his pass, with no issues. Yes the passes are expensive, but they were actually more reasonable than other resorts we looked into, there are also many staff and logistics that go into the operation of the resort.
Super fast with purchasing a online ticket and acquiring it!
You can pick up your ticket here including epic pass. Might be some wait time
$140 lift tickets for overcrowded runs
Skiers and snowboarders beware. TERRIBLE customer service. Pick another mountain that cares that you’re there and appreciates you as a client. Will not go back.
Keystone keeps saying that they will send our lift tickets, and they STILL have not arrived. ?? It is impossible to contact anyone via phone.
It has been 4 months. We do not want to wait in line upon arrival.
11. Norski Sport Rentals Keystone
Address: 70 River Run Rd, Keystone, CO 80435 , Keystone , Colorado , United States
These guys are the coolest and most efficient. Their place did not have a long line u like the other rentals and it’s also cheaper. Great service from Chaz as well. Highly recommend!
AJ did a stellar job helping us get the perfect fit for our skis as well as provided a few laughs to get our ski trip started off right.
Amazing location and super responsive and helpful staff!!
Easy to reserve online. The system to check sizing and pick up equipment is very efficient. Staff are friendly. Covid restrictions in place to keep everyone safe.
Great service and attitude
Pre-ordered Skis/Boots here for a a long weekend. Equipment was fine and return was incredibly easy. Only issue was there was no value in the pre-order. Providing all my information in advance saved no time. We waited in line with folks walking in without reservations. I don’t mind waiting my turn, but I thought that was the point of the reservation and information in advance. It took a good hour + to get our equipment and get out.
Theses rates are stupidly overpriced. Go to Frisco. You can rent the exact same e-bikes for $17 for two hours.
I took two sets of skis to be tuned and was not happy with either tune.
On the first set of skis it is blatantly clear that the tune on either ski is very different, one is very grabby while the other can’t grab anything. At first I thought it was just me but I swapped the skis onto different feet and to a different person and the conclusion was the same.
On the second pair of skis you can rub the edges on opposite sides of the ski and feel that one is very sharp while the other side is very dull. Will never have them work on my skis again.
Chose Norski based on recent reviews, but must share that my experience with other ski rentals in the Keystone area provide much better equipment, have more selection, have faster processing and have much friendlier staff. The only advantage Norski provides is their location and their late return. I recommend using a different rental in the resort area.
12. Libby’s Old School Records
Address: 620 Main St, Frisco, CO 80443 , Keystone , Colorado , United States
Bought a ’77 repressing of The Stones ‘Exile on Main Street’. Owner was kind enough to clean the record before giving it to me. I do wish there was more Metallica, Judas Priest, Megadeth, and GN’R, but overall a great place!
What a great place! It’s small but man it has some quality stuff. Over the past few months I’ve bought a number of records and they are all in great quality. I later purchased a receiver and a set of speakers for a vinyl setup, they are both performing nicely. The Pete of the ship is super chill and the dude really knows his music. If you enjoy vinyl do yourself a favor and stop in this place.
Great little shop!
There isn’t much to look at here, but there are some gems in these crates. Just be prepared to pay a bit more for them.
Great environment and good selection but a little pricey
Nice cozy little record shop. Not much as far as rare or obscure, but still a well curated selection of great records.
Doesn’t buy cd’s as advertised and have room.
13. Moidel Music
Address: 409 E Main St b1, Frisco, CO 80443 , Keystone , Colorado , United States
Jess was the violinist at our wedding in Pennsylvania. She was extremely easy to work with and took the initiative to contact our bag piper and organist to review music and coordinate day of wedding performances.
Her skillful talent coupled with her friendly and outgoing personality make her a dream! Highly recommend!
Jessica has been an amazing influence in our children’s lives! Jessica taught both of our daughters violin and she brought so much compassion, knowledge, fun, understanding, patience and joy into their lives while teaching them. She is a fantastic teacher and they both loved their time with Jessica.
I’ve hired her for multiple events and I always hear great things from the audience. She is very professional and great musician!
14. Keystone Made
Address: 195 River Run Rd unit b-7, Keystone, CO 80435 , Keystone , Colorado , United States
I purchased a shirt at the store two days prior. Brought it back with the tags on it and the manager. Micah (who said he was the manager) would not simply exchange the shirt for different size.
Further, when I told him, I would not be purchasing the other shirt that I wanted to buy he said “cool, it doesn’t affect me either way.”
Today me and family just had the worst experience ever to rent equipment at this location. We did the reservations 3 months ahead and took me, my wife, 4, 9 and 10 years old children and my mother 74 years old. 4 hours to get our rentals. From 10:00 am to 2 pm. We lost the sky day and because we did the reservation, at the store they couldn’t even refund the day. Now I spending the rest of my day trying to make phone call to the reservation center. We plan with so much caring our family trips, so disappointed.
15. Goat Soup & Whiskey Tavern
Address: 22954 US-6, Keystone, CO 80435 , Keystone , Colorado , United States
Cool place to grab a drink after a long day on the slopes
Had appetizers, soup and bourbon. The name says it all and they do it well. Great dive bar with great staff tonight. Apps are good sized in basket.
Fine dine with some wine
It’s a dive bar with food…
The soup is delicious here and the staff was friendly. It seemed like a local hangout spot more than a tourist trap. The food prices were pretty reasonable. The place seem3d clean.
This review is just based on what I read and the pictures, looked like a neat place, and I was really hoping to try the food, but if you go on a band night, they will want a cover charge ($20/person on this night) just to get in, no option for just food on the food side. We got in town late, just wanted some food, no show. Maybe next time we’re in town, we’ll get the G.O.A.T experience!
Dont bother
Dive bar with a stoned bouncer and dicey crowd
Be careful and watch your drink ladies! I once had some friends maybe get drugged there and the manager said we should just go somewhere else if I wasn’t okay with that.
And on top of that…even without the Drugging problems…I asked for a vodka and soda and the bar tender was so out of it he couldn’t even figure out that he had added water…he told me the soda was just watered down a lot.
16. Summit County Guitar Rental
Address: 152 Meridian Loop, Frisco, CO 80443 , Keystone , Colorado , United States
Traveled to Breck from Denver for a holiday weekend with family from across the country. Forgot my guitar and was super convenient to find a rental on the way. Was a really nice acoustic, came with hard case, tuner and picks. Bevan evan met us at the condo to pick up before we left town on a Sunday. Many thanks!
17. Keystone Sports – Mountain House
Address: 1195 E Keystone Rd, Keystone, CO 80435 , Keystone , Colorado , United States
Best costumer service I was immediately greated when I walked in the door. I will definitely be coming back
It’s the best rental shop I have ever been in. I definitely recommend the demo ski package.
Good gear
Strap in!
Great but hard to get information from welcome center or volunteers
Great day out with the family. We drove from Colorado Springs. A fair bit of challenging road conditions with multiple Semi accidents, breakdowns and tyre/brake issues due to the combination of steep inclines and snow and ice. You will need a 4×4 in snow and icy conditions. Be careful if conditions are very bad the Eisenhower tunnel may close.
We did a half day 9:30-4PM slot in Keystone sports. Staff had us geared up quickly, and on the baby slopes pronto.
The baby slopes to Green transition seemed a little tough on your first run (for 4 teenager beginners) so take it easy, get a sense of where the risky areas are and then enjoy a few runs.
It was not too busy midweek.
The main lift to the top is super fast.
Went in to demo a board was helped quickly and effectively. I mentioned that the edging on the board felt really dull and would like a tune prior to demo. I was turned away and told that they were fine. My tailbone has the bruising to prove I was right. Disclaimer…I do fall once in a while but 5 times in a 3 hour seesion is unheard of for me. I did not demo from here another day and took my business to Christy’s and bought a board and bindings by the end of the week. Do yourself a favor, wait in line at Christy’s.
Staff was very nice, but the whole place was EXTREMELY understaffed and unorganized. I tried dropping gear off and there was a sign directing me to the back for drop offs, and the back said to go to the front and not to enter. Once inside the return booth wasn’t noticed for 40 minutes, and multiple employees didn’t know how to return gear early. I had to wait for through multiple lines to figure it out. There was no clear direction, and they never answered phone calls or voice mails.
All of Keystone staff has been great (hotel, daycare, ski school, bars, restaurants, lift personnel). This rental facility however….exceptionally rude people with zero willingness to help. Worse than the fast food industry. Pretty shocking since the rest of Keystone staff were really pleasant. Employees here seemed to be under forced labor. They’re completely miserable and rude. I’d rather rent my equipment somewhere else. Wont be returning here.
