Super friendly and fast, quality service during lunch time!
Fast and friendly
Its McDonald’s
Coffee obtained was great this time and it didn’t have grounds in it!
My food is always fresh when I go there and they are really nice.
Fast, convenient, and inexpensive.
Nah
If you like to wait too long for cold french fries, and watching the employees “cellphoning” all the time, this is the place for you!
Horrible! I ordered a double-quarter pounder specifically with NO CHEESE and do you think they can get it right? NO! Unbelievable. And you people want to make $15 per hour! Really?

I am thoroughly enjoying Click2go! So easy to make your list, pay for it from the comfort of your home. When your arranged time comes, drive to the set aside parking spots, call the number on the sign, and your groceries are brought to you by a cheerful employee who helps you load them into your car. It takes longer to get through the gate and arrive at the commissary than it does to receive your groceries. Highly recommend!!!
It a pretty decent, small commissary.
Really convenient and has a great selection.
Very nice for its size. Always good prices.
The commissary seems to have a decent selection. Two stars because they never open 30 minutes prior to open for disabled. It’s great to have a sign about opening 30 minutes prior for the disabled but to never follow through is lying. Just don’t say you will help us and not follow through.
Emptu
Fruit and Vegetables are minimal no grapefruit, no rosemary, no ginger, no corn on the cob, no ceaser salad packets, no banana peppers, ect. The spices were bare was there some run on coriander, vanilla and thyme I’m unaware of. And prices are high, I came from WA and cost of living is supposed to be cheaper here, but 75% of the items cost more and some are almost double the price. They lack healthy foods, and will have three rows of the same item and lack variety. Also there’s no grilling baked beans, no McCormick alfredo, no wild rice (except like uncle bens microwavable, no thank you I can cook without the preservatives) no white American cheese, no fiber rich bread (so lots of chemically altered bread) no nann bread, always out of tortillas. Always empty shelves. I wonder if it’s extreme couponing, because how does a spice isle go empty. They should really restrict that stuff on base.
6. Jerry Lee’s Music Store
Address: 101 West St Patrick St, St Marys, GA 31558 , Kings Bay Base , Georgia , United States
Love these dudes bot my guitar ther and trying to get a job there
Lots of changes and growth. Asset to the community and lessons for beginners, gotta love it!
Jerry Lee’s is the place to buy a guitar.
I just dropped off my daughters trumpet for a stuck valve. I was promptly greeted with a friendly smile. When I get the horn back I will up date my review.
Neat little music shop with some quality products. Not a huge selection, but they have what you need.
Nice people. They also offer classes at reasonable prices for any aspiring musicians.
If you are into electric guitars, the selection is very limited, and even the ones in stock had problems.

Honestly, the reviews on Google of base housing (Kings Bay) had me terrified. I was desperately searching for a home or apartment, because I did NOT want to end up here. We even put an offer on a home, but luckily another offer was accepted over ours.
We moved into our new home (3BD/2.5B) on April 12. It is just under 1200 square foot which I was dreading. But, they are so strategic and the layout of the home is PERFECT. It is everything we needed, and they ensure plenty of storage. The virtual tour does not do this sweet home justice. The natural lighting is perfect. The lights they have installed are amazing. The apartment I moved from might have been larger/ more updated/ bigger kitchen/ etc, but it has nothing on this little townhome!
Karen made the transition to our home so smooth, and they left us a sweet welcome bag. Which THANK YOU because it had toilet paper for my pregnant self (it truly was a life saver lol). Jenna was the absolute SWEETEST soul and gave us our tour before moving in. She encouraged us and let us know of how hard the office works with connecting with its community.
MAINTENANCE IS AMAZING. Thank you KYLE! Our dead bolt wasn’t working properly, which we noticed on day 1 of moving in (April 12). Called the maintenance and they immediately made an emergency ticket for it. Within the next 30 minutes I cancelled the work order because my husband got it to lock. I received a call from Kyle, who called to check on us and ask if we could secure the home. The next morning I received another call to check up on the work order. Long story short, I ended up continuing the work order because the dead bolt only worked if you pushed the door in reallly hard. Kyle came same day (April 13) and ended up getting it fixed! He went above and beyond to make it happen. On April 15 (A Saturday) we called maintenance about our AC. It took us several days to realize it wasn’t working. I made the work order and within FIVE MINUTES, Kyle called us. He is the sweetest & hardest working guy! He takes care of his residents! He let us know the AC guy (Larrryyyy) wasn’t available until Monday. But he offered booking us into Navy Lodging and bringing us a portable AC unit. We declined the Navy lodge but he immediately says “well let me at least bring the Portable AC unit, I can be there in 30 minutes!”. He hooked it up in our 1 year olds room and it worked perfect. Then bright and early him and Larry showed up on Monday and fixed the AC! They are the best.
I’m just blown away by the community here, and every person we have met. I hope all of the negative comments don’t deter you from trying NSB kings bay homes. 🙂
Over the weekend I placed a few work orders to fix some small things around the apartment that were noticed when we moved in and early this morning Dante and Larry from maintenance showed up and knocked them out very quickly and professionaly. I really appreciate their prompt service and attention to detail and their patience in answering my basic questions about the work. Thanks!
This has been a great experience, getting moved into our new home. A pleasant surprise during the COVID19 restrictions.
Though, due to COVID19, we could not make a in-person meeting within the home, we were always able to get in touch with someone whenever we needed a question answered. The staff was professional without having to rush us with any paperwork. We are happy to meet people who are polite and respectful, we feel welcomed.
The home itself was nicely prepared for our family. It was sanitized, smelled fresh, there wasn’t any damage to the interior or exterior. The floor plan that was offered to me ended up being the exact same as the home we recieved, we’re happy about this.
Our neighbors are friendly and have already greeted and welcomed us. Noise is not a problem here, the neighborhood is clean, and the mailwoman is friendly.
The Kings Bay Offices are located nearby in the community and have staffed phone numbers for nearly any circumstance.
Overall, we’re happy. We appreciate friendly and welcoming people when it comes to business.
Houses are fairly nice, place seems to be decently well put together. The people who renovate, and clean the houses for new move ins are basically glorified amateurs. They paint the trim very quickly with no tape usage as apparent by the profound white paint splatters that are all over the plastic hardwood and plastic wall to floor trim. They paint over surfaces without edging so the place just looks fairly tacky. The maintenance people themselves are fairly knowledgeable and good if you can get them to come out. They will fix your problem and usually available in a timely matter, especially if it’s an “emergency”. If something isn’t an emergency dont expect anyone to show up. All together the houses are clean. The management staff and the housing office are the people who make this place a 3 Star. If it’s a Saturday and the office is scheduled to be open, absolutely dont count on that. Someone here is getting away with a nice scam because if you call on a Saturday or friday evening you will be redirected to the answering service who will tell you that the office is suppose to be open and that they’re not sure why it’s coming straight to answering service. However this will always be the case. If something isn’t life or death then the answering service people will be completely useless to help. They dont directly work for the company and dont know anything about what is going on. They try their best to assess the situation but a fairly limited in their abilities. They’re limited to emergency maintenance referrals and cannot contact anyone from the office/administration/management staff, they can only talk with maintenance. Maintenance people are the best honestly. They’re nice, helpful, and get things done. They dont have a direct number, because all calls go through the main office or answering service then get direct to the maintenance team. So I can blame none of the downfalls of this place on the maintenance team. They’re the reason this place still functions as a company.
Areas to improve for the company would be to get people who repaint and redo the houses to spend the three extra days to make them look like they weren’t done by amateurs. They could use actual painters tape so parts of the light switches, plastic trim, various outlets weren’t painted on or splattered with paint stains. The floors could be sealed correctly and not have pieces coming up or missing. The cabinets could be resanded and painted. Its obvious the goal is when one tenant moves out to get the place clean and fixed as quickly as possible and get another tenant in.
I really wish there wasn’t even 1 star. So from the beginning. In the summer my a.c. wasn’t working. Since it wasn’t 90 inside the home or 95 outside they would not come and fix my a.c. because it was not labeled as an “emergency” although it was 89 inside my home and it was 90 outside. Let me state this was a Friday. So my a.c. was not fixed until Friday the next week because they “never got the work order” I called 6 times, twice on that Monday, once Tuesday Wednesday Thursday and Friday. All stating it “wasn’t an emergency fix” or “the work order was never put in”
Next is the washer and dryer. We were renting for $40 a month then we bought a washer and dryer in the muddle of July. When the washer and dryer we were renting was suppose to be picked up, the company never got to order. Which they only pick up on Monday and Wednesdays. The ones we bought were delivered though. And our rentals were nice living room decorations for a month and a half. With 3 separate pick up dates but never actually picked up until the final date. Because I sat in the housing office for an hour before they finally called them and physically set a date on the phone with me listening. Oh and I was charged for that month and a half even though it was housings fault. But wait! Back up. I was never charged for it in the first place. Meaning I was charged for everything all at the same time while they were playing with my husbands BAH and ended up over charging up and it took me 3 hours in the office talking to only the manager to get it fixed.
Now I’m signing out. Okay. I spend 10 hours cleaning by myself to move out. 10 hours. Inspection came around and I didn’t do good enough. So they wanted to reschedule it for a week away. Making me still pay to live there even though I moved out already 2 weeks beforehand. I sat in the office for 2 hours and they did one more walkthrough. After the first woman made a list to clean the “dish washer siding, clean the grease above the stove, wipe the dust from the cabinets, scrub the toilet, and dust the blinds” I already did all of that on that 10 hour day. But whatever I did it again. And they STILL charged me for a $250 “pay and go” cleaning fee. Not just that. The woman was extremely rude and made me feel like I was so incompetent that I didn’t know how to clean an apartment to moving in standards. Even as I left the office no”thanks have s good day” nothing. Working in retail for 5 years or even being a decent person in general you think that’s just common courtesy.
ALL IN ALL please do not move in to this community. They say they help military families but all they do is rip you off and be extremely rude and insult you. Especially if the sponsor in deployed. I never make bad comments about places. But these people are terrible.
Better off living off base. Unfortunately issues take forever to be resolved and do not get fixed in a timely manner. Residents are left to live in unfit conditions, such as disgusting rotting floors. Constantly given excuses about why work cannot be completed and maintenance will leave giant messes behind in their wake for resident to clean, as if having a job and children of our own to clean after wasn’t enough for us. I’m sure washing plaster buckets out in bathtubs hasn’t caused any issues at all in your plumbing B.B. (sarcasm). They’re lucky we didn’t fall through the ceiling onto our neighbors because the floor in the bathroom was so rotted. These buildings need tore down. Enlisted housing is a joke and falling apart, they do not care for the grounds and simply mask over issues. It’s too bad I cannot post pictures of the shady job they did patching the floor. We could see our downstairs neighbor the gaps were so large, and all they did was fill the gaps with PLASTER and they plan to have the floor “contractor” lay vinyl over it. No sub flooring at all in this place. Live somewhere else if you plan to have a long life.
If I could give 0 stars I would. By far the worst housing office my family has ever had to deal with. No one seems to care about the residents. They’re extremely unorganized, no communication with the team and maintenance, and it takes forever to get simple maintenance orders done due to the lack of communication on the office’s end. I honestly suggest you consider these homes a last resort option.

This place is amazing! We just moved to kings bay and im so happy we have this play place near us for our kids to enjoy. The lady that runs this is super nice and friendly and they keep everything clean! This is now our new favorite place. PS- it’s super affordable!
Kids had a blast. Staff very friendly. Very inexpensive play area
There are a few things ..
1. It’s very hot inside. Although it isn’t as bad as outside, it’s still a sweaty environment.
2. Bring Socks! They have some to purchase if you forget tho
3. Some machines need “tokens” , but there isn’t an atm or clerk lady to charge on debit card. So, bring cash OR have a begging kid.
4. No shade in parking lot.
5. Bathrooms are not clean. Had to change my son’s diaper in the car bcs the changing table in the bathroom had nasty poop like marks on it.
6. Some kids are so mean! Saw a little girl bite another kids lip. So, Mama’s/Dada’s- keep watch.
7. The employees were distant and kinda, “just there.”
Overall tho, I would go again. My son absolutely loved it. The activities we amazing. It is really cheap and beats being at an outdoor playground in this scorching heat.
Cool for kids
Mu kids love this place but it’s hard to go when school is out for the summer. We went early and a group of moms came in with with lot of kids, which would have been fine, if the kids were actually supervised. Saw one child being bullied and tackled by 3 children bigger than him, older kids breaking toys in the baby area and any small children got pushed around. I love this place but they either need to hire more staff to supervise the kids or make the parents do it.

Super spread out and was a great experience to see and camp at!
Rental rates are hourly so don’t get too far out of the inlet. Fuel cost was cheap as the fuel gauge never moved. Overall a 8/10 for submarine rentals, highly recommend getting the “Upgraded package” as a chef will accompany you to whip up meals when you get hungry. Good time to read a relax, pretty quiet quarters.
I retired from Kings Bay 25 years ago and have not been back on the base since. I had to get a new ID card. The entire experience from getting into the gate to the actual process was pleasant and I was in and gone within 30 minutes. The security man was so nice and even exchanged a kind, joking conversation with us. The lady at PSD was efficient and fast. Made me proud!
Just took picture of sub. Did not enter the base.
Not a bad place to be stationed, but I also wouldn’t recommend it either.
I was physically assaulted while stationed as a marine here awhile back. A Sgt. Michael Freeman caught me in the hallway on the 2nd floor next to my room. He grabbed me by my cammies and slammed me against the wall because he was mad I called him a name earlier. I informed my squad sergeant- sgt zendejas but he didn’t seem to do anything. I was 19 years old.
Seemingly, the military personnel here are allowed to use federal equipment to spy on or otherwise infiltrate civilians’ electronic devices for their arbitrary intentions. For some obscure and formerly unheard of reason, at least for myself, federal employees may be permitted to stalk other people entirely at random. Do what you will with this statement. However, be acquainted with these extraordinarily creepy and violating happenings, and if you find out your constitutional rights are being violated. Likewise, be prepared to be informed improper behavior in some capacity at personal discretion could be authorized; indeed, be ready for extortive measures used to quiet and conceal the potential for legal and public action. If you discover yourself in a potentially dangerous situation with individuals from this military base, as illustrated. Stand your ground. Do not engage. Seek legal help and ONLY continue with legal council. If intimidation efforts follow, remember it is their embarrassment. It is not your fault. These actions can have unforeseen consequences either they or one’s self cannot anticipate. Be ready for possibly violent countermeasures to confine resistance. For the general public’s safety and my peace, I feel a burden to come forward and hopefully shed light on the concern that Kings bay command is likely and deliberately failing to acknowledge, thwart, or account for misconduct by its employees. I would describe it as a callused, chickenhearted act and your tax dollars at work.
What I have described I experienced. It has been years because I was frightened to talk about what happened. I’ve realized this is not my burden and never was.
Be careful all, I mean it, and God bless you.
3 hour wait to get through the front gate. This is incomitance at its best. Chain of Command issue! Commercial vehicles beware if you are picking up or dropping off, ladies at the gate may cost you time and money. Consider taking a different load.
