Went for a gift for my grandson. On top of being friendly, Brittany and Angela were genuinely happy to assist and I left with more than expected. Their passion for music was evident and their knowledge was happily shared. I would strongly recommend Playground Music Center to anyone!
First time in the store, I met with Brendon (and I may just butchered his name -apologies) he helped me with a mouth piece for my son, without placing or taking blame I was scrambling to find the correct mouth piece and book for my beginner band player and this gentleman was extremely helpful and had the patience to deal with me and my un-musical self. Will not go or seek out any other music store (as 2 had failed me, until I got an email back from Nathan so i decided to stop in on just a “why not”) even though I wasn’t able to get the mouth piece that day it was there the next morning. Better/faster than Amazon!

A really chill music shop with prices varying from the cheap end to the really expensive end, their prices are a little high, but they do offer a monthly payment plan (if you have good credit). I am a double bassist, so they did not really have a selection for me, but they do have a lot of other instruments.

I took my saxophone in today as it has a slightly bent bell and is missing the key guard on the side of the bell. I was not concerned about the key guard, I only wanted the bell straightened. THEY REFUSED TO DO THE REPAIR. They said they would not straighten the bell unless I paid for the replacement key guard at 150 dollars plus the cost for straightening the bell! I only needed the bell straightened but they refused a paying customer. Will never go back and I recommend others don’t go there either. Their excuse? She said she couldn’t let my own instrument leave without being fully repaired so if I did not want the key gaurd, I was not allowed to get the bell straightened and pay for it there either. What a horrible way to run a business. I own my instrument, it is a sterling silver saxophone so I did not want their inferior keyguard.
Just awful customer service. We came in wanting to learn about violins and their rental program. We were obviously inexperienced and instead of helping educate us, they acted like they didn’t want to help us and would only answer our questions with one to two word statements. We left without buying anything and will not be going back.
I met Steven with Sound Decision many years ago when he put a system in my Bay home. I recently had to call for a new remote and he updated my system and made it even more friendly. I found Steven to be very fair in pricing and helpful in getting me up and running again.
Steve and the guys replaced an older system with a Sonos system after it was damaged by a lightning strike. Everything was easy going with the installation and the use of the product. They really love this stuff and have a ton of knowledge.

Very disappointed. Basic food and not as described. These waffles were advertised as “two thick fluffy waffles smothered in syrup and topped with butter” and that’s supposed to be an egg on the bagel.
I’m usually a generous critic, but I can honestly say I’m really disappointed. We ordered Doordash, and our dasher had to wait a bit for the drinks. We had a PB&J panini that was really thick, bready, and tasted a bit soggy like maybe it had been made before the drinks were even acknowledged. Our lattes were the wrong size and weren’t even warm (we are 2 miles from the location). The taste was meh – I’m a huge chai latte fan, and after getting them from numerous places this is honestly close to the bottom of the list. From this one experience I could not recommend this shop.
The food took an hour and a half to arrive. When it arrived it contained two coffees with two breakfast to go boxes all packaged in one bag…it was bagged the 2 Togo boxes first with the two coffee cups on top of it when we received it coffee was all in are food soaked with coffee when we called and explained the situation they said they are not responsible for the food or drinks ….I explained they sent it out the door incorrectly packaged.We are now without food and its not there problem? I don’t typically leave reviews so this should tell you how mad and disappointed they left us. We will never return and will spread the word that your business don’t care about your food as long as you get paid.His response backs up exactly what I said. The delivery woman explained that she never asked for that. That’s how your employees typically bag to go orders. I spoke with your employee. But that’s OK with the way the economy has been. Small businesses only thrive by providing good customer service. Goodluck to you sir.

Normally i dont do this but after tpdays experience i couldnt let it go.
Today around 3:30pm a friend of mine and I went to the Dollar General in Shalimar, Florida. Her son had to use the bathroom really bad, and their were a few things we needed before we headed home. As we came in we immeditly went to the cashier and asked where the bathroom was.the cashier did have a customer, but since her son is a child and had to use the bathroom urgently my friend said “Excuse me, where is your Bathroom” the cashier ignored her. We assumed she didn’t hear us or didn’t know we were talking to her so my friend tried again. This time she looked right at us with a rudr glare then back at the customer checking out and ignored her again again. Trying again my friend said “Excuse me, my son needs to use the bathroom, where is your bathroom?” She finally gave her the key to the bathroom, and when she started walking towards the back she said, very rudely, “WHERE ARE YOU GOING? THE BATHROOM IS OVER THERE?!?!” So as my friend turned around to walk towards the bathroom my friend replied “It would have been nice if you would have said that before.” She said, again very rudely, “I DID!”
While this os happening o am still at the regrister trying to get the key for the womans room. I had to ask 4x “may i have your ladies room key please” I also was given rude looks and no response. Then i heard her mutter “I do not have to put up with this. I do not have to take this today” we were completly baffled at this point. We just wanted to run in quickly use the bathtoom and buy our items.
My friend said “This is ridiculous.” To this cashier screams across the isle “I CAN GO GET MY MANAGER” we told her “okay, please do.” The she tells us “I AM THE MANAGER” confused now I ask her “How can you be the manager? You just said you could go get the manager.” She finally goes to get the manager, and as soon as he walks up he tell us to leave. Would not let us explain anything just told us to leave. Then as I’m trying to tell him what was happening and how his cashier was acting towards us simply for asking to use the bathroom he walks outside to get a cart. Baffled at him leaving the building as two customers were issuing a complaint my friend asked him “where are you going!” He says from outside “getting a cart.” Getting that one cart.int he parking lot meant more tl.him than listening to two customers.
He had absolutely no interest in what we had to say, no “I’m sorry this has happen”, nothing. Simply “You need to leave.” I find this incredibly unprofessional, and unbelieveably rude. I understand she had a customer, and any other time I would never have interrupted their transaction, however her son really had to use the bathroom. All I did was asking whether the bathroom was. She could have said it would be a moment, or something, however she decided to ignore another customer and then yell at that same customer. I’m aware that my business will not hurt this company, however I will never step foot into the Shalimar, Fl Dollar General again. I also hope that you get a better manager for this store, and I hope the managers at the other Dollar Generals in the area are not like this one.i wish I could tell you his name but he turned his name badge around. I’m sure the cashier and manager could be found the schedule for the date and time given.

We love UpBeat. Our kids have been taking music lessons here for almost 3 years…violin, ukulele, and flute. All of our teachers have been great, the staff is friendly and accommodating, and they have always done a great and timely job servicing our instruments. Crestview is lucky to have these guys!

We love Holly! She is one of the piano instructors and has taught my daughter for close to a year now. It is amazing to see how far they come in such a short period of time.
So I took my guitar in just to have some strings put on my guitar because at 53 years old my eye sight isn’t as good as it used to be and I bought in my nut for the tech to glue it on the guitar, so I had the nut. So the tech called and said the volume pot needed to be replaced and that it would be $9 for the part and $25 for the labor. When the guitar was ready I called them and asked how much it would be and I was told $115. That is for putting strings on, gluing the nut into place and the volume pot which as I stated would be $34. With out asking me he replaced the tone knob s well so he just did what ever he wanted without my authorization. When I got the receipt they charged me $20 for putting glue on the nut that I provided after I was told it would be $34 plus strings which was $12 which brought it up to $46 so $46 turned into$115. Doug is the tech name. He is not trustworthy, he does whatever he wants and charges whatever he feels like and on the receipt it showed the cost of parts which was $34 but nothing else, it showed the cost of parts, so it showed subtotal of $46 then the next line on the receipt was $94 just because I raised a fuss, but still that doesn’t explain anything else…
I strongly recommend that if you need work in your guitar that you take it elsewhere. Now the store itself is a nice store but Doug the tech just charges whatever he wants and does whatever he wants to your guitar without your authorization and I will note that when I initially brought my guitar 8n I told David to make sure no work is done without talking to me. Now I’m disabled so I’m on a limited budget so it was hard for me but they had my guitar so it was either pay. It or I don’t get my guitar. Once again it’s a nice store but Doug the tech is a freakin crook! Thief and unfair to the customers
I WILL NOT EVER BE BACK!!!! They refused to service my tuba because it’s not a name brand. All it needed was a new lead pipe. They allegedly called the store owner and he said that he would only service it if I brought in the replacement part. Absolutely ridiculous! I’ve spent a lot of money in this store and on servicing instruments with them. This will be my last time in this store and the Fort Walton Beach location. Save your money and go to Playground Music. These people have no concern for customer satisfaction. If I could give zero stars I would.
Will not honor any warranties if they can get out of it. Still owes me a keyboard that I paid 700 for and stopped working in three months.

I used to come here all the time I’ve bought strings I have had them fix my guitar and even bough a couple from them but I went in today to put a guitar up on layaway, and keep in mind I’m 18 and I have been playing guitar for 8 years and as of know going to school for music. And I saw this awesome killer less pual, and I asked to play it and they said “no” in a very rude voice, and I was just standing there cause they let someone right beside me play guitar. Then they sent me a voicemail saying it’s policy to not touch the guitar over 2000$ and I get that policy but I wish they would have told me in the store cause I was gonna buy it. But I’m not a kid who wants drama so I let it go. Idk if they thought i didn’t know what I was doing but it’s okay
The establishment was well kept and clean. Nice selection of guitars; however the customer service was NOT too “customer friendly”. Went into the store with full intentions of purchasing a bass guitar they had instock. I was completely ignored buy the service reps. Not even a greeting, but the couple that came in after me seem to attract all of the attention. Needless to say after 15 mins of standing directly in front of of the guitar i came to purchase, I decided to leave and purchase online at guitar center.
The couple departed seconds behind me with nothing in hand. I do not plan on going there again. There are better music stores to go to.
