Stop in here, you won’t regret it! Not only does this place sell various local artists, but the prices are great! So you get to support the community without breaking the bank! If you’re lucky you’ll come in and meet an artist working away, when we came we meet Alberta and she is so talented! The staff are friendly and helpful and they even have a little place to hang out inside and out front in case you’re too hot, or it’s raining! Everyone stop’s to see Mike Carroll, but you’d be missing out if you didn’t come here as well!!
Interesting variety of locally produced artwork and handicrafts!
A must see when visiting Lāna’i. This non-profit boutique showcases talented local artists, plus everything you buy feeds and artist AND supports art classes for local kids and residents. You’ll find handcrafted pottery and dolls, as well as a variety of painted canvases and photographer’s prints of the island. It’s the perfect place to pick up affordably priced souvenirs with a touch of Lāna’i.

Lovely little shop with Island Souvenirs. Need to spend a little time to browse through, they have some interesting stuff. They have some items that are specific to Lanai.
If you’re on Lanai you have to stop in and check out the Hula Hut. The young woman that works there is a ray of sunshine. While visiting the island with my husband and three small children we stopped in to check out their souvenirs. My oldest daughter (11) had the most animated and excited conversation with this women about cats and she was so helpful to us with info about the island. This lady rocks and made our stop at the Hula Hut a highlight of our trip to Lanai.
If you’re ever on the island— don’t miss this place! It’s so cute and the gal that works there was the sweetest! So happy to stumble across this spot 🙂

Really awesome little boutique. Tons of great gifts. Great clothing selection too. Good quality, unique finds. Also, the ladies running the store are seriously the nicest ever. So friendly and welcoming.
All you need to spend a bit of time shopping. Nice closing, sunglasses and special presents for kids
Great store. Lots of fun t-shirts snd other clothes to buy both for men and women. The staff are couteous and willing to help in any way.

The selections were surprising and the owner was great!

8. Lahaina Music
Address: 910 HI-30 Suite 9, Lahaina, HI 96761 , Lanai City , Hawaii , United States
Lahaina music rocks! They have lots of helpful staff that are chocked full of knowledge but aren’t rude about it. They are super kind and caring and aren’t only focused on taking your money. It feels that have the embodiment of true aloha. That’s a rarity these days unforunately. Check them out!
I rented a guitar here for the week while on vacation. Nice little shop with a great ukulele selection. The acoustic guitars are all budget tier
We are novices when it comes to the ukulele, and came to Lahaina Music after visiting other ukulele shops. Jason was extremely friendly and informative. He did a great job of playing each ukulele for us while highlighting the differences and price points. In the end, we got a very nice solid wood ukulele that was appropriate for our skill level but will be great even as our skill improves. Prices were very good compared to other places. Jason even gave us a brief lesson to get us started. I’ve watched his YouTube videos and have already learned enough that I’m wanting to buy his instructional book too!
I can’t recommend this store enough if you are interested in trying out the ukulele!
9. Mike Carroll Gallery
Address: 443 7th St, Lanai City, HI 96763 , Lanai City , Hawaii , United States
Mike is a great guy. My wife and I enjoyed both his work and hospitality.
Mike and Kat were friendly, the local art was great, and the store had lots of great items for sale. We’ve already gone back!
Pleasant communication with this gallery. Beautiful items available. Shipping time was adequate (3-4days) but the cost seemed on the high side given it was inter-island and items were very small and light (1lb or less). Maybe this is just standard shipping cost for any parcels from Lanai no matter where it’s being sent to as I don’t know the postal situation there, but $35 still seemed very high. Although I really like what they have to offer and the customer service, the shipping costs will likely deter me from ordering more in the future.
View is good
10. Manele General Store
Address: 12 Manele Rd, Lanai City, HI 96763 , Lanai City , Hawaii , United States
I love that we can now buy a sandwich and a coffee when we are at the beach instead of having to run up to town. There isn’t another store for miles, so they can charge whatever they want, but instead prices are excellent. Staff is friendly. The boutique offers an impressive collection of Lāna’i logo wear from caps to sweatshirts to plush animals. I bought a shells bracelet here for a friend on Maui and she loves it. The store is owned by the same crew who own Trilogy, plus the gas station and Lāna’i Plantation Store in town.
What a surprise , Great staff , good food and drink !!!
As soon as I walked in I felt the love. From the cute local kids showing respect and love to sales rep at the counter, to the giggles we shared with the other families shock of the SPAM Musabi containing spam and not chicken (lol they were in so much disbelief, they followed me out side to ask more questions) The sales rep handled it all with poise and Aloha. I wish I asked her name! We were there on the July 20th around 7am, she deserves a raise!! She was bum rushed with demands and cooky questions, but still kept a smile on her face and handled it all gracefully!!
Store has everything!!!
From a cold one to musabis to Sun hats to jewelry to water!!! Truly a One stop shop with friendly staff!!
It’s ok but pricey. Also it closes very early. To be fair I went on a Sunday morning and cane back at 3 and it was already closed.
Considering the location I was impress with the selection of drinks and ice cream, frozen treats. The prices are high, but I expected that on a small island. There are other general food items, sundries, and trinkets. The place was a godsend after the ferry ride from Maui in very hot weather.
I love the food and drinks, but they leave whenever they feel like it. They close at 7 but closed at 3.
Millennial clerks won’t sell beer to a 50+ year old man without an ID.
Could be an OK place. Staff rude and protects items for its locals. I just got back from spring break with my family. We had a great time, the only exception was the awful customer service at this general store. The staff seemed super off-put that I walked in and interrupted their more important personal conversation. Word of advice, if you are visiting Laniai for a day trip, bring what you think you may need because it’s a long walk to the four seasons.
the rich could care less about the rest
11. Bounty Music
Address: 111 Hana Hwy #105, Kahului, HI 96732 , Lanai City , Hawaii , United States
It had been a while since I’ve visited Bounty Music, but my visit today proved that it still has got that welcoming, genuine , music lovers vibe. I’m so happy that I can still support this local business that has been serving we Maui music lovers for generations! Friendly, courteous. Helpful workers there had me leaving this inviting shop with bargain priced, quality items for myself and my adult son. I also witnessed some other store workers help other patrons there , I think they were tourists, with ukulele purchases. Again, we are all so fortunate to have these musicians at this business who readily, enthusiastically share their expertise and guidance with us as we make our selections, Mahalo Bounty Music for continuing to share your aloha! You are appreciated
Great variety and awesome service!
Great store for musical instruments and the story of the ukulele was shared with us. Awesome selection, customer service and history!
Great selection of ukuleles and guitars. They also have a few keyboards. They had very few mandolin, violins, and other instruments. They had all types of ukulele, for kids, beginners, and high end instruments.
Store jammed with loads of different instruments and their nice staff are all very helpful!
Small selection of instruments, but the people who work there are really nice. The more you come in the more they’ll work with you. It’s nice to have a music store on Maui.
You find Aloha inside the people at Bounty Music.
Horrible service, incompetent tech can never repair instruments never demonstrate a true sincere desire to help toxic place not a true music store what a shame!! don’t go there!
I bought 2 guitars there. I’m happy with the guitars so they get an extra star. Their service is awful. I get that artistic people shouldn’t be expected to be the most professional at work so I gave them slack. I brought my guitar in to get serviced (strings buzzing on electric). Guy X says “The guy who can fix that isn’t here today and to start the process you gotta talk to Guy Y over there.” ( is there really only one person out of the 6 here that knows how to put a tag on a guitar with my name/#/ and problem?) I couldn’t believe only one person knew how to adjust it that worked AT A GUITAR/UKULELE SHOP. Guy X ditches me and I’m left stranded. There was more that day but I’ll stop here because Guy Y basically ignored me and helped people behind me.
I left it there (finally, and it wasn’t guy Y who helped but a girl who saw me there in line for 20 min and felt bad, she put a tag on the guitar with name/#/ and problem). 2 days later I called to see how it was going. They said “Dude, we’ll call you when it’s ready, click.” I went there 3 days after I left it and they said it hadn’t been touched. Would you trust a mechanic who didn’t even touch your car after 3 days in the shop? I wouldn’t. I took it home, watched YouTube videos and got it done.
If you need something NOW you have to go there. I love to support local business, even if they’re more expensive (to be fair in my cases they were not more expensive than online). However, I won’t support any business that is careless with me.
Hey Beware,
I’m sorry but I’ve had a couple of rough experiences at bounty. I wanted to buy an artist series Stratocaster. I explained that I had looked online and was wondering if they could match the price or come close? I was told…
“If you can find it online you should just order it there, it’s easier.” I did explain that I like to support local businesses … but the sales guy was less than interested, and he just ended the conversation by walking away . Boy did I feel naive! I will say that I went online and ordered a nice guitar with free shipping and it was at my door in no time. I’ve since ordered an amp and two more guitars… all online without talking to Bounty. I have to confess that all experiences were “easier” than dealing with Bounty.
I just got off the phone with them and again I can’t believe the attitude. I explained that I was going to ship some guitars to the mainland, and did they have any guitar boxes that they were going to recycle or throw away? If so I would like to reuse them…you know go “green”. I’m not planing to ship for a couple of months.
“no” we don’t have any of those boxes…I was told, but we will sell you a Taylor box for 20$. They hung up on me before I could explain that I can get a bundle of 5 boxes for 8$ (online) with free shipping, so 20$ for 1 box is … well typical Bounty. I’m not really sure what the bad attitude is at Bounty? It is true that you can buy online for quite a bit cheaper than what Bounty offers on almost every single item they carry (this includes shipping costs).
Honestly Bounty seems disinterested and even lazy sometimes. I still go in and look every once in a while, but I don’t feel compelled to spend my money there.
1 star because, really it’s not worth the head ache to drive into town to put up with bad attitude!
I’ll give another star because a couple of the staff members are very nice… so it’s not a total waste of time…
I recommend that you do what I do which is… I just sit at my computer with a hot cup of coffee and shop away.. (go Prime!).
12. Lānaʻi Culture & Heritage Center
Address: 730 Lanai Ave # 126, Lanai City, HI 96763 , Lanai City , Hawaii , United States
I really like the museum, I suggest if you are visiting Lanai this is a must see place.
Beautifully arranged displays that provide information regarding the history of Lanai.
Great little museum. Not to be missed if you are in Lanai City. Staff were super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I worked the pineapple fields on Lanai 40 years ago, telling them that opened them up and they showed me an extra video.
Only place to learn about the pineapple island
Good
Great place to read up on all the history and culture in the island. Not much more than that.
