My son is a college music major and was looking for a 5 octave “practice piece” when we found the Monkman Studios website. I reached out to Jesse Monkman to inquire about the studio and the marimba, as at first it seemed “too good to be true”. My son’s marimba arrived last week and it is EVERYTHING promised! We were able to Facetime Jesse to ask questions, see and hear him play his marimba, and have him explain the different features. This is an investment, and trusting in someone you have just met was at first a bit intimidating. Jesse was very honest and transparent with all aspects of this process, and being mom, I would frequently email to check on progress and shipping (: Jesse was extremely patient and gracious, usually responding the next day! My son said the assembly instructions were clear and he was able to assemble alone. The look and sound is everything he hoped for, truly a beautifully and well built professional piece. I would highly recommend you reach out to Monkman Studios, an adjustable 5 octave marimba with resonators of this quality will not be found at this price! We have had a very positive experience…he even offers a student discount!

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I find their prices a little higher than elsewhere, but their location is convenient, and sometimes it’s just easier going into a store rather than dealing with another music store on the phone.
Went to purchase my 8 year old daughter piano lessons back in December and was told I needed to purchase a piano or she wouldn’t succeed in lessons. I explained she wasn’t even clear if this is something she wanted to peruse but just wanted to try it. The cashier wasn’t helpful and I went out hopeless. Fast forward to a little over 2 months and we found an excellent instructor who guided us toward a keyboard to practice and she absolutely loves it. A piano purchase is probably in the near future but I won’t be returning to this shop. Just to think, this visit to the store could of altered my daughters life had I gave up.
I would never recommend this place to anyone. It’s sad that the schools direct you to such a in trustful company. Please take advice and stay away from this place.
Signing up for lessons with this company is one of the biggest mistakes I’ve ever made. Their billing practices are extremely criminal. They continue to charge you after you have canceled services with them. They also bill you for holidays when their business was closed and you received no services. The representatives in the store and on the customer service line are no help with billing as they know nothing. You are billed money on a different date each month but never receive a statement for what you are being charged for. This company seems to be money hungry and filled with thieves. I would never recommend anyone doing business or taking lessons from this crooked company.

Have gone here many times over the years passing through. The staff is always friendly.
I bought my sons trumpet here. No problem. Good deal, But the manager was restocking the guitar picks.The prices were from 25 cents to 75 cents. I heard the manager tell the employee to make them all one dollar. The employee hesitated and the manager said: Do it, Frig it theyll pay it. I never went back. I was very disappointed with their train of thought.
My friend and I were treated like we had the plague on our 10/1/22 visit. I made the mistake of actually playing one of their guitars and the owner of the store snatched it from my hands and instructed his employee to “wipe it down”. I promise that you will NEVER see me in there again. You might actually sell something if you had reasonable prices. This is exactly why people buy their gear on-line. Worst shopping experience I ever had. I promise we will bad mouth your shop to every single musician we know.
No holiday discounts if paying by credit card. The salesman was great though. Too bad.

Linda is patient and kind to “us older people” wanting to learn – her degree is in Music Education so she’s not just someone who knows how to play and decided to teach it – she knows HOW to teach it! Big difference!!
My so has been taking piano lessons at Keys2Ring for over two years. He had a hand injury when he was young and our therapist suggested playing the piano to keep his fingers nimble. Lessons were easy to schedule and he works at his own pace while still being held accountable. Mrs. Simms is constantly reinforcing all the core values that he is learning at home and school – it is a seemless fit.

My children take piano and guitar lessons here. The teachers are educated and good with the students. The atmosphere is very classy inside the mansion, and the Flower Child suite is very clean and professional. Both my kids enjoy coming here and teachers make learning fun. The pricing is less expensive than Music & Arts. Highly recommended

They have great deals and the location is in a good spot for what you need. I’ve only been a couple times and didn’t spend much so I would recommend this store to a lot of people.
Every employee here is always polite. I’m greeted as soon as I walk in and asked if I need help. The store is always clean and the prices are reasonable. I love their selection and how they never seem to run out of what I like! I always drop by if I’m in the mood for a drink and will be returning.

EXTREMELY RUDE. I bought a liter of Montebello Long Island Iced Tea. Long story short the liquor was a bad batch. Tasted like tar. I bought it back to the store the next day & the guy at the counter was nothing but rude. Expressed that he didn’t care and it isn’t his issue. I asked for a manager & he said i am the manager. So i said who’s your boss? He gave me the bosses number. I called and he said “there is nothing I can do for you & hung up on me….. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE……

I usually love this place . But the last time I was there, one specific worker made me never want to be there again. My daughter who is two was scooting around in a toy car that we planned to purchase . I had a table and a vacuum in my cart so the car wouldn’t fit . The lady came over , snatched the car from my daughter, along with the baby doll she picked out, said “ she can’t ride that in here “ and she took the car and the baby doll back to where it was when we first found . I get that there are rules, and I get that kids shouldn’t ride toys in stores. I get it! But the way she handled that was disgusting . My daughter was crying hysterically. I was having a horrible day already. The lady just went back to her business hanging clothes after she put the toys back. She didn’t ask me if I planned to purchase it. Just snatched it up and put it back . Thankfully a cashier at the front had some empathy and gave my daughter a piece of candy to distract her . So those two stars are for her. If you don’t know how to handle a two year old , don’t work in a store that sells toys. I’m glad I held my composure because NOONE makes my daughter cry for something so stupid.

Mr. Tim is a great teacher. He’s very patient and very positive. he really believes in his students. He strives to help his students learn and enjoy music. As an adult student, he really strive to work with my schedule and be flexible.
It is really worth your time and money. Teachers are very friendly and encouraging and very supportive. Very flexible and will always try to make up for lost or missed rehearsal. Tim and Isabella are awesome!
Timbella studios has exceeded my expectations for piano lessons. My 7 year old is a student with Mr. Parsons and he makes learning fun and enjoyable for his young students. I am also impressed with how organized the lesson planning, schedules and payment process is which makes it very nice and a smooth process for parents. Thank you so much Timbella studios for everything you are doing for your students!
I contacted these people concerning violin lessons. They never answered my email or phone call. However, they used my email to solicit funds from me. When I addressed this issue with them, they were defensive but still did not reply about the violin lessons. I continued to receive letters asking for money until I had the emails sent to spam.
