Great teachers and staff! Great collection of guitars and all musical needs! Their Facebook page is so much fun too!
Bob, the owner is one of the nicest guys around! Great for kids and adult beginners to full enthusiasts. The facility is great and has several acoustic practice rooms.
The owner is chill and knows how to fit an instrument to the player. Good atmosphere and knowledgeable staff. Be prepared though, this isn’t guitar center – only quality guitars on hand. If you’re a beginner, come here for lessons, not an instrument.
Reviews show that they are open but I cannot seem to find the correct times they are open I tried stopping in on a Saturday around 3 website and google said they were open. But they weren’t too
A week and a half later, I’m waiting on a repair that was supposed to take two days. They called on the day it was supposed to be done to say they just started working on it. Two days after that they called again to say it will be done in a week (or maybe less) due to a problem with the instrument that requires additional work. Today (a week later) they said it will be ready two weeks from the day I brought it in. While I can’t comment on the quality of the work because I still haven’t received it yet, I am disappointed with the service so far. I dislike dishonesty, excuses, and false promises. I can only hope that my instrument isn’t being butchered. I hope I’ll get it back and be able to add a positive update to this review. Unfortunately since they lied to me, I can’t trust them, so I’ll have to take it somewhere else to get it checked out after I get it back.
Update: I got the guitar back and had it checked out by a friend’s technician. He said it was in good shape, so I’ve decided to raise my rating by two stars. I won’t forget the bad communication and lack of transparency, so I don’t think I would bring an instrument here for repair a second time.
sad to have to change my review but after having dealt with this store more it seemed necessary
Store staff are incompetent. Ordered books and instruments accessories for me but instead of holding behind the counter they just put them on the shelf for others to buy. Waited two weeks and when I got there only one of the three things I ordered was available. There is a reason mom-and-pop shops like this are going out of business. They have no customer service. Added to which the staff were rude and had a lack of knowledge that was sad.
Was looking for a specific pair of drumsticks that I needed. I walked in and took a look at the selection they had, and they didn’t have what I needed. I asked a staff member if they could help me out and he helped me figure out what pair I needed. He happened to be the drum instructor. While trying to find the specific pair, my mother who was with me told me that he made her feel uncomfortable because of the way he acted towards her. When they “ordered” it for me and they said it’ll be here in a week.
One week later, I called to see if it had arrived. They said no. I stopped by the next day to see if it arrived and the same instructor said they’ll stop by tomorrow and pick it up for me. (From whatever warehouse they get their stuff from). The next day, guess what? THEY DIDN’T HAVE IT.
Unbelievable service. Waste of time and effort. I ended up going to A-Major Music in Gurnee. Trust me, it is worth the drive and they are MUCH more friendlier and helpful there.
Bought an over priced patch cable to find out it doesn’t work.
My hunt for a tech comes to an end after meeting Mike. The combination of his expertise, experience, and his prices will have me coming back for more work. And he’s a cool and nice guy to top it all off. All in all, great experience, rewired my guitar and did a set up with a quick turnaround!
Michael is a pro. He help rebuild my 1971 Fender Twin with professionalism and technical expertise. I always felt confident I could trust his advice. He treated my aged Amp like a vet would treat a puppy. He gave me advice to get my 1968 Rickenbacker 330 12 back in the game.

Quick service on my acoustic. Price for strings & service reasonable. Lady Jo was cool. Brian wasn’t very social.
Very friendly staff
Just ok
Almost no instruments in store. Some guitars and some harmonicas. Nice workers due
If you want to speak with someone condescending, rude, and extremely stuck up, you’re calling the right place. I was calling to get information to rent an instrument for my sons new orchestra program and I was not only insulted by an employee, but the owner herself. If you are not an uppity brat, this isn’t the place for you.
A very disappointing experience recently – used to rent from them for school and take lessons there many years ago. Recently took in several brass instruments for some cleaning and repairs, and the communication was horrible – they didn’t tell me what was going on with my instruments, I had to call several times to figure out what was going on, and then after almost two months they still hadn’t had any of the work done. I finally got them back yesterday, and they weren’t even satisfactorily cleaned. Whoever does their brass work, they are not up to snuff. Go somewhere else.

Overall pretty good. Friendly staff. They date code their ice tea here so you know how old it is which is pretty cool. Haven’t seen that level of control in other McDonald’s.
Gross

Awesome staff. Best Price, better vegetable, and better food.
Great staff
Super low cost food, def should stop in
They are improving their selections, pretty good prices and they made some improvements. Still has a bit of an odor though….
Great prices on spices especially. Plenty of gluten free options. Meat counter has lots of options and is staffed with pleasant people.
Nor like the ones in chicago
Prices are fine. I worked at the deli and the cashiers are snobs to everyone, they think they’re entitled or something. I never even got as much as a hello from the management there when I went in. They don’t even want to be there and it’s obvious. The place is disgusting and old. And if anyone even knew how DISGUSTING the deli is behind the counter you wouldn’t wanna buy more. Health code is kind of thrown out the door. Sanitation is close to nothing. The meat is not handled properly and they don’t wrap up there turkeys or hams at night time so we had to let them just sit in the case. I really don’t know why anyone wants their meat from their. Go somewhere more cleaner for your nitrate filled meats. ALSO, they finally cleaned the grease trap which stunk up the whole produce lobby all the way to isle 4 i believe all when I was working one night for the first time In years probably that that had been done? No idea, but im aware they just don’t wanna pay for anything like that. Also we only had dirty dingy nasty rags we reused to clean the slicers. There is no management in the deli after 3-5pm so deli clerk’s can act as they please, which leads to unsanitary conditions. This place sucks.
Only one checker on Saturday 5 pm
This store reminds me of walking into a low rent Piggly Wiggly. The only time I shop at this store is when I’m at the park located directly behind at Mallard Ridge. After 2 hours at the park my kids need to use the washroom and get something to drink. Both of those needs could be met by the park, but I guess it makes more sense to lock up the bathrooms and shut off the drinking fountains . So we truck on over to Butera. “Daddy, what’s that smell?” That question comes the minute we walk in and I can’t stop laughing. “That’s Butera,” I say. Bottom line, I shop here only out of necessity and only when I’m in the immediate area. They definitely aren’t the cheapest grocery store, it’s not the cleanest, and as my son noticed, there is a certain smell.
Greg makes my drums sound incredible, no matter which group or genre I’m recording for. He’s my #1 choice in the Chicagoland area.
Greg was the first guitar teacher that actually taught me WHY I was playing what I was playing and not just how to play it. He works around you musical tastes to keep you invested and engaged. 9 thumbs up.
Went from absolutely not being able to play to learning a lot and able to play. Greg’s an awesome dude too. Makes this hard journey fun! And that’s what it is, a journey! You get out what you put in. Excellent and fair pricing too.
His space is comfortable clean and set up the way a studio should be! He has a bathroom too.

I had a great time shopping there got some interesting socks
Hay buenas ofertas.
Wide seletion of records you may not find at other places, picked up a Dua Lipa record! Worth checking out!
No Post Malone? I’m out!
the place was fine but I feel as though I was tricked into signing up for their backstage rewards program that I DIDNT WANT, the cashier made absolutely no mention that this would be a reoccurring charge on my card, as of right now I’m trying to cancel it and it’s a PAIN, I haven’t met a place that didn’t mention my card would be charged for a membership! hot topic is free why is this paid for?? if they ask you for a phone number DON’T give it to them!
BE CAREFUL YOU CAN’T RETURN YOUR PURCHASES
I bought a gadget and it didn’t work so I went to return it the following day and the salesperson didn’t accept my return. I told her it didn’t work on my car I want my money back. She told me we don’t refund money, choose another gadget for similar price, I didn’t want another gadget I wanted my money back… they didn’t give me my money … such a poor customer service. Watch out what are you going to buy there because they never are going to give your money back. I will never go again !! I don’t recommend this store never ever!!
