I love this shop. Not a huge vinyl selection, but I always walk out with something good. They had the new KG vinyl from King Gizzard last week (which I grabbed!) and I would love to see more of their stuff and other modern psych/garage/acid rock/etc. Always helpful and friendly. Keep your business local and your vinyl spinning!
Love this place!
Pretty good selection of used vinyl in mostly very good condition for good prices, especially late 60s-early 80s stuff. The owner is very knowledgeable and has been very nice and happy to help in my experience, going above and beyond what I would consider the call of duty.
Leaving one star off for room for improvement. Certain genres are underrepresented. They aren’t the most generous store regarding trade-ins, though that may be based on my experience offering the same type of thing they already have plenty of.
Overall very good experiences and there are always great deals to be found for the open-minded music adventurer.
This place is worth stopping in. Sometimes, they have really good vintage audio equipment for sale.
Still on the fence. They have my violin but couldn’t tell me how many days it’ll take to get it set up, and they didn’t know how much it would cost. I’m operating on pure faith at the moment.
Never been there yet.
Good place to buy CDs, long as you bring your eye glasses to read, lady they’re not a very good piece of people person
They have about 5000 records no one wants. Called the day before to ask if they had some different artists and the guy tells me oh ya a ton. Come the next day and there was NOTHING

Bobby, brought my 83 Inbanez roadstar 2 back to life with all his TLC,
And expert craftsmanship to boot!
Thanks for the thrill brother
Upgraded everything you could think of on my bass and Bobby did beautiful work. The neck, already the best I’ve felt, is now even better!
Bobby is a master! My husband recently dropped his expensive Martin guitar and shattered and cracked it in several places. I took it to Bobby and asked if it could be fixed and was it worth fixing. I was skeptical that it could ever be repaired because the damage was so extensive. WOW! When Bobby finished working his magic on it, I couldn’t tell that it had ever been cracked or broken! I highly recommend Bobby for all your stringed instrument needs – whether it be buying, selling or repairing.

Place rocks. Great music, great staff, if you haven’t tried it out you should!!
This is such a wonderful place to go for both drinks and music. Not only is it a great time, their supporting of local musicians is phenomenal. We are soooo lucky to have a place like this in Loveland
Congenial hosts! Great beer, wine and hard spirits. Music is always excellent. No food.
Nice meeting area
Good drink. Fun times.
This bar and music joint has a classic ambiance. The bar tenders are helpful and polite. The live entertainment was excellent. The experience was fantastic, would love to come back.
No phone number posted for your location here. That is 1 star quality.

It is nice to find someone that is out to help musicians succeed, not just make a quick buck.
Thanks Slick.
I bought a Teton 130 acoustic from Slick. He is a great guy and really knows how to dial in an acoustic action wise. I barely have to touch the strings to get the sound I want. He also did this for me in a matter of an hour as the guitar I picked was still in the box from the factory. The guitar sounds great and its beautiful. He also set me up with a gig bag, leather cork strap and some picks. I’ll be back for sure.
Great little shop, the owner was awesome.. very helpful and fun I’ll definitely be going back. I hope to see his shop continue grow
The man knows his stuff

As a 40+ year-old, five months into beginning guitar lessons, Willie is a wonderful teacher. He’s super positive, friendly, and very supportive, and I look forward to my weekly lessons; they’re like a nice, creative break from the regular goings-on during the week. Judging by the smiles on the other students’ faces that I’ve seen, I can only guess the other teachers are equally wonderful.
It’s never too late to start learning something new. Taking up guitar lessons has given me a relaxing outlet that I can enjoy doing every evening. And I sincerely thank the staff and Willie at Loveland Academy of Music for helping nurture that enjoyment.
Can’t express myself enough of how lucky I was to find Loveland Academy of Music. Thank you Karen for making me look like a pro at this old age 🙂
If I were asked to describe the Loveland Academy of Music in just one word, it would be an impossible feat! There are just too many words to describe how fantastic this place is. Awesome, wonderful, excellent and amazing are words that barely scratch the surface.
My youngest son and I have been taking lessons here for going on almost a year now. We both take singing and piano lessons. We both always look forward to Tuesday night at 6 p.m. and Wednesday night at 7:30 when we get to take our lessons. Every time we walk in, we’re greeted with smiles and the staff is genuinely happy to see us. The owner also takes the time to say hi!
My son is a special needs student and both his teachers are absolutely fantastic with him. His singing teacher, Molly, is also my singing teacher and her ability to cater her teachings to our individual needs is unparalleled. Not to mention, the class is downright fun. His piano teacher is extremely patient and kind. She’s able to structure her lessons in a way that grabs his attention.
My piano teacher, Marion, is amazing as well. I took piano when I was a kid (I wish I never would’ve quit), and my instructor is able to bring out a lot of what I learned when I was younger. She’s amazing.
For all you kids out there taking music lessons, please don’t stop. I promise, you’ll regret it. I’m a 39 year old man (I’ll be 40 next month, yikes!). So, if you’re an adult like me and think it’s too late to take on an instrument or learn to sing; I urge you to kick that negativity to the curb and come sign up at the Loveland Academy of Music. I promise, you won’t regret it. Their staff is amazing with both kids and adults!

Charlie and Burk, are the best. That’s it. If you REALLY need more though…..I’ve taken my guitar there a few times now. They’re simply the best guitar guys west of the East coast. Guys there are just plain guitar rambos. UPDATE: I took in my electric too. They have recommended guides, people to watch on youtube, people who give lessons, the whole nine yards. Cool shop too. Can look at the guitars they work on, the pieces they make. They both have more experience with guitars than I do with life.
Did not meet with Charley, but did meet with Burke. Dropped off some ukuleles to get repaired for my wife who is a music teacher. Burke was kind and professional. The work was done well and done quickly and I was told Charley gave a special discount for the education cause. It was greatly appreciated! Thanks ya’ll!
Charley not only does a fantastic and timely repair, he’s an absolute pleasure as well. Well worth the drive from Greeley to Loveland!
I drove half an hour to bring two guitars to Charley’s shop for setups. I called him while standing outside the front door of his shop to see if he would mind coming to grab the guitars so that I wouldn’t put him or his co-worker(s) at risk, and so that I wouldn’t be put at risk by going inside. He asked me if I had “the virus”, to which I replied that I was just trying to follow CDC guidelines and the advice of millions of people in the healthcare profession who are begging people to avoid being indoors with individuals from other households and by doing business outside when possible. Charley replied that the county had downgraded restrictions, that he was cleared for business, and that even the bars and clubs were opening back up. I will never go to Charley for any services ever.

Chris with Rocky Mountain Audio is Amazing. We needed a setup for our warehouse for meetings on the floor. The area we had available has conveyors overhead and left to right with a lot of background noise. We also have a lot of equipment producing interference for wireless devices such as microphones. We had already spent over $1,600 on our own failed design and decided we needed an expert for resolve. Chris didn’t hesitate to come out to our facility and find a solution for us that wasn’t only a much lower cost than our own setup, but also works 100x better with zero issues. Chris ordered in what we needed and returned to help us set everything up. Our team couldn’t be happier with the end result of Chris’ work. Thank you Chris for everything.
Chris and team provided excellent service. Not only were they responsive, they also checked in a few days before rental and followed up afterwards. There were no problems with equipment.
This guy made my garage band sound like professionals! Chris is a pro, can read the band well during a set, adapt, and improve on the fly! The best sound guy in FoCo! So happy with our sets with him in a crowded bar, which is a challenge to make anyone sound good!
I love friendly pawn. I originally went to go sell some old music equipment I wasn’t using and Scott( one of the gentleman who works there was extremely helpful and even allowed me to double-check to make sure I didn’t sell a sentimental guitar strap.
They’re one of the few places in northern Colorado where you can go pawn or loan something and feel good and secure ite about it
Would recommend five out of five times
Especially if your a musician!!
The first thing I felt when I walked in was overwhelming comfort. The shop is clean, neat, and welcoming! The staff were so nice and generous. They gave us an offer that was over what we thought. I would definitely go back there to shop and to pawn again. I recommend this pawn shop to anyone and everyone.
Perfect name for a great business! Working with Ray and Ray Jr. was a true pleasure! If you care about working with honest, knowledgeable, professionals, go to Friendly Pawn in Loveland. It’s so refreshing to work with people who care about old school integrity. They give their word, and they keep their word, and are very kind folks to work with. It was really nice to deal with true experts on the subject. They shared information generously, and helped me land a true “win-win” deal between us. I also appreciated that they helped me understand details about our deal, and were willing to share expertise, with no pressure either way. I love working with good people, so I will definitely be working more with Friendly Pawn in the future. Thank you Ray and Ray Jr. for all of your help. Look forward to working with you again soon.
Kind of rude and pretentious when it comes to the men working there. The young lady was helpful but the guy in the Gun section was a jerk.
I called just to inquire about something and the fellow was very personal and helpful. Great service!
Don’t go here, very selective of what they want… I had new games this year 2017 Xbox one and they turned them down? Really?
I’ve been in here a few times. The first time wasn’t really a problem. Everyone was somewhat helpful and in an okay mood. The second time i went in i had called before hand and asked about pawning my old snowboard. The person on the phone was nice and said they did take them and i could bring it in any time. I brought it in and as i walked through the door i was practically yelled at that they did not take snowboards. When i asked if they knew of a place that did they responded with should have called. The last and final time i went in was to pawn some stuff with my boyfriend and a friend of his. As we walked in we were not greeted with smiles or a hi how are you. Instead they lookes at the items in our hands and rudely stated they did not take those. They were looking for new things. We said thanks and walked out. The entire experience has shown me that this is not so friendly. Instead it is a rude environment where the people always look like they are in a bad mood.
I am not inpressed by this establishment at all.
Thieves and liars!! My wife and I traded in a Ruger LCP .380 in mint condition along with 6 factory magazines, factory box, original paperwork and 300 rounds of ammunition for a Ruger LC9 9mm with one magazine and nothing else. I called the store the very next day to let them know that the weapon was defective, and Scott let me know that they would either pay to send it back to the manufacturer which would leave my wife without a gun for two months, or they would pay to have it repaired locally. I got off the phone with Scott and Called the gunsmith that he suggested and the gunsmith quoted me a $60-$70 price. I called Scott back and let him know that and all of a sudden they had changed their mind and now my only option was that I could bring the gun back and get my original weapon back. I asked him what about the money that we spent for the background check, and he said that Friendly Pawn would not do anything about that so basically my options are to keep a defective weapon or to return it and to have lost money dealing with these individuals. I would recommend doing business with anyone else on Earth before these individuals.
UPDATE: This company has now acknowledged their one-year repair guarantee on their firearms and stated in writing to the Better Business Bureau their intention to violate their one-year repair guarantee on this firearm. This company also falsely accused me of committing a crime in writing to the Better Business Bureau by accusing me of slander for recounting this incident. If this company chooses to refute these statements or chooses to respond to this review in a negative or hostile way, I will post the entire conversation with the Better Business Bureau on this review in my next update.
UPDATE 3/01/2019: A typical and expected argumentative response from this business that is again full of lies and half truths. I strongly caution anyone reading this review to take this company’s response is with a grain of salt, and if you go through all of their Google reviews, you will see a demonstrated history of passing the blame and sarcastic responses to any review left on this site that isn’t perfect. I have now requested the full transcript of the interactions between myself and this low quality business from the Better Business Bureau and I will be posting the entire conversation in another update on this review once I receive it. You will then see from the ownerships own mouth how quickly they walk back there guarantee once you make your purchase and how quickly they will slander you if you are not happy with their sub standard products or their sub standard business practices. Another update will follow. In addition, I spoke to the Better Business Bureau supervisor in charge of this complaint on yesterday February 28, 2019 and they misunderstood the complaint because of the ownerships continually changing and untruthful responses. Therefore, they have agreed to re-open this complaint as of February 28, 2019.
P.S. – To make sure that I can educate the ignorant individuals at this pawnshop as to the meaning of slander: slander is when you repeat a recollection of events that is knowingly untrue. I have every legal right to recount this horrible experience and to tell anyone publicly or privately about the lies you told to me and my wife as well as the BBB. Therefore, I absolutely intend to continue telling the story by voice and in writing to anyone who will listen for as long as I live in Loveland. For being dishonest with my wife and myself during our business dealings, I absolutely intend to make it my mission to cost this pawnshop as much business as I possibly can, and it would be my dream to see this establishment go out of business due to their substandard business practices. Again, the complete Better Business Bureau transcript will follow once I receive it.
UPDATE 6/10/2919
I have cost you thieves & liars at least five customers so far, well more $ than what it would’ve cost for you to make my situation right. I will continue!!!

On Craigslist, I bought a keyboard stand made by this company (US-44 Utility Stand). I play lap steel guitar and was interested in playing while standing so I extended the height by putting dowels into the legs and put a thin board on top for my stuff and guitar. This unit is discontinued by the company and I don’t blame them. The design couldn’t have been simpler but also couldn’t have been more confusing to put together. I’ve color coded the joints for ease of assembling. I’m very happy with it!
Terrible customer service. Products come with defects and they just ignore you.
