Alot of things missing have to go out of town.

Need to make sure the prices on the shelf match when they are scanned.
Parking lot being fixed and it should have been doing at night lot of people in the store with no mask on
Slow always no sense of urgency at anytime more than eight to ten people in any line no Customer help or assistance, I live in Thomson Ga less than 4 mile from this store came in early this morning 12/12/2020 to get a few items and pickup a bicycle from Layaway 8 people waiting in line no one at the Register 15min later one person comes out let’s people know they will be with us shortly, 15more min, then four Walmart personal come out standing at the Register and counter finally one person comes with a cash drawer and 10min go to get it all setup while the other three go away, slow working with the first customer, I leave to find a Manager ask for one and I waited up in front of the store for about 5min no Manager I go to another Employee to ask about a Manager being on duty and yes there is one in the store according to them so we both look no Manager, frustrated for waiting so long and no response from this store, I left. This store has always been slack in Customer service if it was the only store in this town it would send this economy into a downward motion.
GET THIS STORE BACK TO A PEOPLE PERSON CUSTOMER SERVICE ASAP. Hating Walmart more than ever now!
Only self check out open not a good place to buy a lot of grocery
4. The Salvation Army Family Store
Address: 2231 Harrison Rd SE, Thomson, GA 30824 , McDuffie County , Georgia , United States
I was amazed to find me some Tommy boxer briefs, some shirts, and a pair of steel toe shoes. The prices were very low. I intend to shop again and buy more items and clean my closet and donate my items that have gotten too small for me. I love to donate what i don’t need to someone who may need.
They usually have some really neat stuff and good deals running on housewares and stuff. Staff is awesome and very helpful!
Made out like a bandit in the blue 99c tags today. Great selection, sooo organized & clean & staff helpful & friendly. Even regular priced items were reasonable! I drove from an hour & 20 mins to get here. Tired of my terrible local thrifts in my area. I will be back at least once a month.
Good
I’ve been bringing stuff and donating here for some time now one day I was helping the ladies who worked there because out back was just full of a bunch of trash and junk that people have been dropping off and so I helped them clean it up one of the ladies said something about when people leave stuff outside of the donation box is free to the public then she wants to accuse me of stealing well it’s funny because everybody every single one of y’all that donate stuff 98% of the time your stuff gets thrown in the trash can yes throwing in the trash can I have pictures of my stuff in the dump that I donated not too long ago so just want everybody to know what happens with 98% of your stuff that gets donated … IT GOES THROWN IN THE DUMP!

Professional customer service & welcoming all the time !
best store out there!!! go shop!!!
The staff is very professional and. this now my new store I will forever come too.
The customer service was great but the store was not as great. The aisles were crowded with stock that needed to be put up, I almost tripped walking down one aisle and had to leave my buggy in the main aisle to go get something down each aisle. A lot of shelves were not stocked and I saw some customers going through the stock on the floor to get things. However, the customer service was great, the employees were really trying to help everyone and had smiles on their faces even if they did not feel like smiling.
Filthy and disorganised. Staff is nice.
Everything I have bought there the last 2 days were outdated. One box of ding dong hostess cakes were dated 12/11/19 so he took them back and all on shelf were outdated so he bought tasty cake brand cup cakes and got home and they are outdated too 11/22/19.I wont be going back there again
Store is crowded and messy… cashier was great, friendly and helpful.

Great store. Easy to get in and out quickly

Poor customer service.
9. Dollar General
Address: 644 Main St, Thomson, GA 30824 , McDuffie County , Georgia , United States
Were helpful finding item shopping for. And Smile.
Little faster checkout time
Good prices
I’ve been doing most of my shopping there they have some some stores that have more than others but the thing of it is is small it’s convenient more convenient than Walmart is right now. They may not have all that Walmart has but they have what I need
The manger have people working and don’t fully pay them. She hired her friend as a assistant mgr but she also had someone to brake in the store too! Never shop there if you don’t want to be over charged on items! Sad how you jack prices and rob your own job and make false reports!
Store not clean and be stock with product
They rude
10. Aunt Tique & Uncle Junk’s Furniture
Address: 210 1st Ave, Thomson, GA 30824 , McDuffie County , Georgia , United States
Coolest Antique/ Junk shop EVER!
Could ( and did) browse around this place for hours! From the moment you get out of the car, this place is amazing! Definitely some thing for everyone and a lot of weird stuff. That is certainly ‘ one of a kind!’ This store has everything from true antiques, to vintage, to artisan wares, to just plain junk!
*Not really handicapped accessible. If you are in a wheelchair or use a Walker, you will not enjoy this store. Very close quarters. No clearance.
Such a Unique Place. Something For Everyone. A Little of This a Little of That. Antiques and Collectibles. Even Way Out Crazy One in a Lifetimes Piece of Art!!! Love This Place. Well Worth the Drive.
Great selection. Good prices. Owners are so helpful! Love this place.
If this place doesn’t have a ghost then I’ll be surprised. Eclectic af.
Lots of cool things to look at.
Always find such interesting stuff!
Junk lmao
To expensive

There’s a lot of great old stuff to be found here. The owner is very friendly and has a good selection of everything.
A very nice store. Many things to choose from, with great prices!
Went there one day and found some marbles that I liked. I thought the numbers on the bag meant cents, but when I got to the register it actually meant dollars. It ended up being well over 200$. I was so thrown off at the time I didn’t say anything. I went back a few days later to try and return the marbles in their original package and had the receipt on me. But was unable to get my money back. Will be disputing the charges with my credit card company.
13. The Saturday Market
Address: 925 Augusta Rd, Thomson, GA 30824 , McDuffie County , Georgia , United States
This place never disappoints, they have everything including nice people. There’s so much that you feel like you are going to miss a total gem. But I love it. Thomson is a honey hole for antique stores.
Found a beautiful piece for a bathroom vanity. Lots of interesting stuff. Will go back again very soon.
LOVING IT !!!! Everytime -There are always new treasures, and We leave with a loaded car of Goodies !!
One of our happy places

14. Big Lots
Address: 687 Main St, Thomson, GA 30824 , McDuffie County , Georgia , United States
Looks brand new! Thought I’d go inside and was surprised at how clean everything was (shopping plaza it’s in looks run down) everyone is really friendly.
Love Biglots They Jest Got Through Remodeling This Store And Nice Place Too Shop
New store, clean and well lit. Friendly cashier’s. Unfortunately unique items they stocked when they first opened are no longer stocked. Nothing to set them apart from the competition… Time will tell but they need to step it up to complete against the other big box store… else they will be just another statistic/casualty of failed Thomson businesses.
Closest place with the best Ginger beer!
Store looks good. The checkout lane was long, but 2 staff members came right up to make 3 cashiers and moved that line fast. Staff last night very friendly
Cashier was not very friendly. I already was feeling uncomfortable because every time I turned around the same employee was following me through the store. Upon entering the store a sale rep was promoting some candles on display at the door. Saying they cost $3.50 but they rang up $7.00. Alot of items didn’t have prices. The store just opened this past week, so I will give them another chance next week.
15. Portman’s Music Superstore
Address: 3946 Washington Rd, Augusta, GA 30907 , McDuffie County , Georgia , United States
Great selection of various musical instruments and services
Great place and customer service. Grandson takes lessons there, loves it.
We love Portman’s. It’s a small store with excellent customer service. The same people have run and worked at it since we moved here 8 years ago. Our musician loves to hangout here and try out all the new instruments.
Really good customer service. Employees are really kind. Smaller shop. Gives lessons. I wouldn’t make a purchase here because of the lack of quality and quantity of brands but that’s a personal preference thing.
A bit pricey. Does not offer repairs.
The store is a jumbled mess.. prices are high
Casey has no customer service skills. Very rude and condescending. Never getting me hard earned money anymore.
It’s no longer at this location
Never have i been so offended in my life. They refused to give us service because we wouldn’t give them our home address. We went in to drop off an Alto Saxophone for servicing and they asked us for an address. We asked if we were required to give an address, because we do not like solicitation and we do not want to give our personal information to every company we go to. We don’t even know if they have good security for people’s information. The guy at the counter berated us for not giving him our personal information and after we asked him again if it was mandatory, he refused to answer and we left. Sleazy company and the guy at the front deserves to be fired for offending customers. Even the guy who came out of the store before us said that he was really disappointed with the way they treated him.
