I came in here because I was interested in learning to play an instrument. Everyone here was knowledgeable and helpful and friendly and were able to get me started pretty easily. They have some nice instruments for rent and offer lessons. I’ve been to a few music stores and this is probably the best one I’ve been to for what I needed.
Fast and efficient. They are very knowledgable and easy to communicate with. I enjoyed my repair experience and will come back again.
Update: We had a recent issue with being given much higher pricing on an instrument we rented than initially quoted. However, the manager got involved and, while the price we paid wasn’t what we were initially told when we first rented it, the final price that we ended up paying for the instrument was fair. It’s a good store. There just needs to be more consistency among the staff so that customers feel that they can trust what they are told.
the employees who work here have a great attitude and will help you with whatever you need the prices aren’t to high and they have good quality for their products. this is the only place i go to, to get any thing i need for my guitar such as picks and straps. I highly recommend shopping here!
Things have changed at the music repair shop within the last year. It’s all about money and not customer service and satisfaction. On top of that I had a conn 6m alto saxophone that I took to them over two years trying to get fixed correctly and after shelling out over $500 I repair costs I finally took it somewhere else who guaranteed to get it fixed right and said they never fixed the problem.

Strings and small items are a little bit more expensive than what you’d pay online at Amazon or something but it’s definitely worth it to support small local business. I’ve had two guitars repaired there now and if I ever need more work done I’m coming here for sure. The workmanship was fantastic and the price was incredibly reasonable.
This place is awesome, small shop good prices,
Muy buena persona….buenos precios…
It helped me with getting the right accessories
For my instrument
Any instrument you could ever want at reasonable prices nice elderly gentleman with a lot of knowledge help you and guide you
Good customer service.
Dropped my guitar off with a case, cracked my case and cracked my guitar when u got it back, had to send it back a again because they diddnt do a good job the first time (they made it worse then I brought it in) took another 2 weeks for them do a decent job. Don’t recommend, ended up with a crack/ chip in my guitar, crack in my case that was brand new and can not be used anymore, and a dirty guitar, they did not clean it after leaving their marks on the guitar
I bought three flutes from him and only one of them where able to play D and E Flat(i just need to get the pads replaced)I even took the sencond flute i bought from him and gave it to him to repair,i get it back STILL DIDNT PLAY D OR E FLAT
The guy there was rude and pushy, he had multiple customers willing to buy from him but he had an attitude when he wasn’t able deal with all of them at once. They should hire more people to help around and expand the store. It’s cramped and dangerous to walk around because you could walk into drum sets and you’d have to pay for the expenses if you break it. Overall, needs to get a bigger space and hire more people.

The guys at Pete’s Music are the best! This is my go-to shop when I need any adjustments done to my electric guitars. Mike, Carson, and John are always very courteous and knowledgeable about any fixes that my guitars may need to have done. Plus their prices are so reasonable, and even more so when factoring in the terrific job that they do for those prices. Thank you gentlemen for always making it a positive experience every time I stop in! Keep up the great work!
Excellent shop! wonderful service. Needed my guitar fixed asap and it was done so quickly.
Hands down the nicest group of people to grace the menifee music scene, I’d recommend them to anybody for any and all musical needs.
I had some questions about a guitar repair on 9/23/14. I called to talk with Pete but he was not there. I talked with someone else about the needed repair. He couldn’t help me and when I tried to get some more information about when Pete would return he was non-helpful and then he told me that he had “a room full of customers.” Or in other words, this phone conversation is over. Am I not a customer? Just another employee filling a seat over there. I gave 3 stars for my rating only because Pete is awesome, but my experience with his fill-in was in complete contrast to working with Pete.
In a era when local music shops are hard to find this one is a gem. Great service, great staff, fair prices. Their guitar techs are top notch and extremely reasonable…
I’m so glad they got rid of “Dr. Evil.” It was the best decision they’ve ever done in my 20 years of coming here. Buying guitar strings from him was like pulling teeth. I heard he was eventually assaulted, which is unfortunate and kind of reflects on the managers for not getting rid of him sooner.
The bearded gentleman that replaced him is worth his weight in Gold.
Give that man a RAISE. He deserves it.
Place is so uncomfortable. 3 people working. Complete silence. Just staring at you. Wanted to look at guitars but felt so uncomfortable.
Very obnoxious dude
I cant say i have been to alot of music stores but this is defiantly one i wont be going back to watch out for the middle age bald guy. Literally the rudest most obnoxious man i have ever met in my life. DONT GO

Larry is a superb gentleman working at this store, while he stated he is an instructor there and not a salesperson, he was very helpful in explaining some of the different acoustic guitars and showing me how the strings played. I am glad he was there to help me pick out my first one, thanks Larry you rock.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
If your passion is to make music but need tools or instruments come here
Guitar Center is great. Their customer service was lacking, they missed a $400 guitar sale from me because they were unwilling to budge on their prices on used gear by even $20. Good place to go to jam though!
Great place not only for music but selected electronics and accessories
I couldn’t test recording mics without the associates cranking up the music every time I tried. They were really rude about it too. Regardless of whether they like my voice or not, I have to check out the quality before I purchase a $300 mic. I didn’t end up buying my mic that night, I’ll purchase elsewhere. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because I came back the next day and purchased an MPK mini and a Scarlett. The associate that day was very professional and helpful. I would give him 5 stars but the over all experience from the day before would be a 1 star rating.
Shame on you Guitar Center! In light of the recent news, your decision to try and hide this pervert to protect your company’s image is flat our wrong. Background checks are not hard nor expensive. BUT, worse off, once you found out what this jerk was doing, you tried to hide it from the parents of possible victims. YOU SUCK!
Customer service to bad they are so rude
I came there before8:50pm o’clock and Closing time 9 o’clock they return us never going this store anymore

Very knowledgeable and detailed. Extremely competitive pricing and my guitar sounds way better than when i bought it. Highly recommend them.
Just received both of my guitars back from Modified sounds and I’m loving the sound. Very thorough and communicative throughout the whole process. EXTREMELY AFFORDABLE and best of all, someone with a passion for their craft. 100% would recommend
Took my bass in for basic setup and man oh man these guys are good. Excellent communication and service. Quick turnaround! I highly recommend these guys. My bass never felt better, thanks.

great people, great service, and they all seemed pretty knowledgeable about different music equipment and instruments! really loved it here.
Awesome
Wonderful place and awesome staff!
Very helpful and nice place
I’ve not had a problem at Music Mikes…grandson got a set of drums and they went over the whole lesson plan for someone who has never played drums in the past and even asked me to step back by the lesson area where lessons were being performed so that I could watch one on one before making a decision.
Nice people and very informative. Prices are reasonable and a good collection of instruments.
I took a PA speaker in for repairs just before the lockdown from Covid and for five months I patiently waited until everyone went back to regular business. I had stayed in touch with Music and Arts during the entire time while I waited for everything to open up and they never did. I decided to take the speaker elsewhere and when I picked it up from music and arts, it was still tore apart and they lost parts. What was supposed to only be a $70 job has now turned in a $225 bill . Stay away from this place. I was given excuse after excuse. I was even told they would help me with cost if I took speaker to one of their authorized dealer but one was never offered because they don’t have one. STAY AWAY from M music and Arts!!
They wont give back my deposit of $35 for fixing my guitar but they never touched it. My guitar just sat there for 4 days. They kept telling me it would be ready in a day. Then a week. Then a week till he could get to it. It just took it back. I will figure out the $35 later. The really tried to hold my guitar hostage and were rude as rude gets
Rude employees. When I’m dropping 93 dollars in your store, I don’t appreciate jokes like “let’s see how much money we can take from you today” or “it’s double price day”… Will not be going back.

We’re so happy with the services this place provide, every single time we’ve been there personal is so friendly and helpful. They never take advantage of the services they provided. They have a great customer service. Happy to have them in town.
The best music store around! The staff is always friendly and extremely helpful.
Great place
Record selection is hit or miss but ever growing and well priced
Great selectiob
Great music store in Hemet right in the downtown area. Good selection of guitars & bass guitars. I just wish they had a larger drum section with selection of snaredrums & cymbals.
Over priced on everything…service has gone bad
This is a very nice local music store, but it is also a very arrogant and unfriendly place if you do not fit their desired profile. I wrote the owner before posting an adverse review, no response. Too bad, but they are the best excuse for not supporting local business.
Terrible place. My son took 2 of his beloved guitars for consignment sale. Every time he called to check on status, it was a different excuse as to why they had no time to answer his questions, or just said they were too busy and would have to call him back. They have NEVER called back. My son went last weekend to pick up his guitars, only to be told that they were SOLD!!! To who?? My son never received a penny!!! Ripoff!!! He was told the manager would call him right away. He’s called every single day to get restitution, no manager, no contact whatsoever!!! They sold his guitars and kept the money!!! Scam artists!!! DON’T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!! DON’T TRUST THEM WITH YOUR GUITARS!!!

Me and my boss come here all the time. Rudy the manager us the most helpful man. He and the employees are really helpful.
Nice
Good place good merchandise
Buen lugar. Encuentras de todo
Just your standard thrift store. Good prices.
Pricy! Save you time and don’t bother. They had a 50% off sale so we stopped. There was a 1980s style dresser, cheap wood, pressed board drawers and half the handles were falling off, $189!!!!!!! Go down the road to GHH
Lost
The old man receiving the donations was rude..I reminded him to be nice to everybody. The cashier at the store were friendly and courteous upon entering. Greeting customers as they checked people out. I enjoy coming to this salvation army because my boys find all kinds of vintage clothes that they find fashionable.

One of my fav places. No baught my first Telecaster here. Still love it
Very friendly and helpful staff. I will be back with my guitar.
Piano lessons are going great! Clean and quiet store. Staff is friendly.
They were very helpfull
Bought a drum set with all the hardware (cymbal stands and throne), but never received the throne when I picked it up. Also bought a Zildjian ZHT cymbal pack (crash, china, ride, hi hat) at the same time, and to this day (four months) I have not received the crash cymbal. I have called numerous times, and they always tell me that a shipment is coming and I will get a call when they get it, but I don’t think it takes four months for a shipment to arrive. Also, their selection of drum sticks is practically nil.
I rent a new flute shown as model Stagg ws-fl231, and the price is $452.55. They told me the rent cost could be counted as deduction when I buy it later. Six month later, the spring on the flute is loosed. They change a used Jupiter shown model JEL 700 to me and stated its price was $500. Three month later, the same issue came again. Since I have rented for nine months, I asked what the balance would be if I buy the used one. They told me the balance will be about $470, and the price for the used Jupiter Jel 700 is about $800. I doubted whether the used one is worth the price. They told me the price of a new one is about $1900. On the next day, I found the contract, and it showed the price of the used one was $500. So they were making up a price or number to overstated the worth of the flute. If I didn’t keep the contract, I would have been cheated by them. When they were lying to me, they spoke it out so naturally that I have to conclude that they must have lied for many years. If you search the price of the Stagg ws-fl231 on Amazon, you will find its price is $199 for new one. The price of Jupiter JFL-700 student on eBay is only $485, and it is a new one. After the deduction, which I have paid $330 as lease payment in recent nine months, I still have to pay an additional $170, then it is considered as pay off. In this way, I paid total $500 to rent and then buy an used flute. It truly doesn’t deserve it. I suggest everyone to check the price of the same model on Amazon or eBay before you lease or buy it. In addition, there is no any terms of the lease payment for deduction listed in the contract, so it is just oral promise and not protected by the contract. Never trust their lies.
Don’t show up without calling first. If you try to sample an instrument they will ask if you are there for a lesson. If you say no, they will ask you to immediately leave.
To reply to the poster, I did give you a chance to respond, you asked why and I said to play, you did not clarify the pianos were not for sale and that that was a lesson room. You immediately turned your attention back to the guitar lessons you felt I was rudely interrupting. Please do not tell me I don’t know how to interpret body language or communication when you shut it down first. The review stands. A google local guide. Sorry you were rude to the wrong person.
