My daughter absolutely loves their music. We moved to Florida this past Sunday and the whole way all she could think about was that she would be close by! Hopefully we can attend a concert!!
No longer here. Store has closed.
Agressive in response when questioning a post. Aggressive and argumentative when a correction was posted. Inappropriate post when responding to inquiries. I lost respect for this group. They are not as they portray themselves. Their music will not be played by me anymore.
This organization has gone above and beyond for my girls. Ms. Rose and Ms. Courtney are wonderful and experts in their field. My girls have so many improved coping skills. They are growing and developing music skills to help them cope with difficulties in day to day living. The benefits of music therapy are so vast and we are grateful to have such an amazing organization here in Brevard! Every kid, no matter circumstances or abilities would benefit from Music Therapy!
Excellent place
Rob and Mackenzi at Florida Music Therapy have given my son a voice when he had no voice. They have given him an outlet to express himself and come into his own. I will forever rave about the work they do here. They are amazing and so loving. He looks forward to coming every single week

Fantastic service. Excellent selection. Items not likely to be found at the huge stores.
Great customer service and location!
Bought a turquoise conga set and realized i can learn at home.love my new congas! Great price and owner and staff were great!
Live music? Wow
Came looking for a case for an odd-sized guitar, found a live sit-in jam session, how delightful.
Owners were friendly and knowledgeable. My case was out of stock, he was happy to order more in. All in all, a great little shop.
Gene and…Kevin? are cool guys. I get a bit of a push-to-sell vibe from Gene, but that’s no surprise. Got to make money to eat and grow the business. Wish they had a proper luthier in-store and maybe a sound test room, but lot of good selection for merchandise.
Knowledgeable
Owner is an idiot! Picked a fight with me in less than 5 seconds. Had to restrain myself from knocking out the little weasel. Do not support!
Edit: I waited politely outside the door to enter this establishment after eating breakfast a few doors down. The owner told me if I wanted to go play with guitars I should go to guitar center in Orlando. So I went and chose between 6 guitars and landed on purchasing a beautiful Martin and Co., even came with electric pickups! Paid 600 out the door and it even came with a nice bag. Lesson being, if people want to come play your instruments. Doesn’t always mean they won’t be purchasing one! Thanks to the owner for the recommendation to the BETTER guitar store around.
My first few visits to this store were great. Gene is very knowledgeable and eager to make you a happy customer. On my last visit however it was a different story. I went in to buy a couple sets of guitar strings and was blown away. I’m guessing it was Gene’s son working that day which was November 4th the day after the elections. He charged me $10 per set and I wanted two sets. When I asked why such a big price increase his answer was because the minimum wage law was passed. I think the most I’ve ever paid was around $8. There’s nothing wholesale about this place with prices like that. I went online and bought three sets of the same strings for $13. I understand that small businesses are hurting and try to buy local when I can but that’s price gouging right there. They just lost me for a customer and I’ll tell my musician friends about this.
7. Music & Arts
Address: 1408 Highland Ave, Melbourne, FL 32935 , Melbourne , Florida , United States
The staff her are amazing! They’re highly knowledgeable and take their time with you. So glad we have a shop like this in our area.
Amazing service and kind workers! Quick and efficient. Good prices too! Been a customer for many years and plan to be for many more.
Great place for kids to learn music. I have 2 taking lessons here and they are performing at a very level and considering i have no music ability im giving all the credit to their lessons
I had a freak accident with my trumpet and had to take it to the shop. A classmate of mine was kind enough to take it down to the horn section for repairs. It took a little bit over 4 weeks because I did not purchase the horn there. The staff was nice when I came and picked up my horn. They did an amazing job doing a basic repair on my horn. There is still some cosmetic damage, but overall, the horn plays well again. I recommend the Horn Section for their professionalism and high quality work. Thanks Horn Section!
Great rentals, they take good care of the instruments.
You’d think when you’re paying $25 a month for a used plastic clarinet you’d at least get decent customer service. I was told that my clarinet, that had been damaged and sounded awful since the moment I opened it, was extremely damaged (obviously) and when she asked what I did to it I told her I had no idea as I’d barely played it and it was this way when I opened the case when I received it. She then told me “Think hard honey because all our instruments are shipped in perfect condition.” Clearly untrue. I will not be giving business to this company again. Very overpriced and rude.
Edit:
As I’m reading through others reviews I see many people have had this same issue with the same woman I had an issue with. I hope the owner notices this and takes proper action.
Ordered an instrument, charged for instrument, after 2 weeks and multiple calls and sitting on hold for 45 mins was informed they have no idea when I would receive my instrument. And my refund will take 3-4 weeks.
We now purchase our supplies and music books online because of the rude older sales lady. Sad to see other reviews posted about her and she still works there.
8. Marion Music
Address: 4970 Stack Blvd #B3, Melbourne, FL 32901 , Melbourne , Florida , United States
They took in my sax sent it away and I got it back in a week works way better
Great people
These guys went ABOVE AND BEYOND my expectations helping my 14 yr old son choose an acoustic guitar and giving him pointers on how to maintain his guitar and strings!!!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
Cool place, wish that they had a little better pricing and selection. Still worth checking out.
Nice store. I was there to get an instrument cable. The price was right so I got one. It works well so the next time I am in that part of Palm bay I’ll get another.
Shop was well stocked and clean. Owner’s are very helpful and polite.
Went in for an acoustic replacement part and the guy gave me a part for another guitar that was close but not right. Being an instrument shop, the guy should know what works and what doesn’t…or at least what to look for, for compatibility. It’s no big deal that I wasted the time and money…it’s the lack of knowledge from their part. I’m going to measure everything myself and order online, cheaper.
Also, come on, guys, every time I’ve gone in there (over 9 years) it’s always the same…dirty and dusty with a bunch of used unorganized crap everywhere. There are always people just sitting around and talking. I’m all for a cool hang out, but how about getting up off your butts and working your store a little. You have so much room and stuff, clear it out, clean it, and put it back in a better/improved way.
Lastly, your used acoustic guitars are miserable. I understand they’re used…but your prices are high and every guitar I looked at had major issue (cracks in the sound board or missing electronics with gaping holes).
Local shops are being killed by Amazon and the online retailers…you’re not helping to motivate us local musicains to support local shops. You could be the best in Brevard…but you need to do something and better yourselves.
Super nice guys but when I tried to trade my mint esp 1000 deluxe with case and a marshall amp with a footswitch for a $512 takamine acoustic guitar they also told me they wanted 400 bucks. I get they are a business but didn’t know they were trying to straight up butcher me on the trade. On the phone the dude named Mike told Bruce that my ESP is selling for 700. Kinda wrong imo. Nice people though
This place is a rip off….cost me 60 dollars to have my 12 string worked on and when I got it home the electronics still didn’t work and when I complained about it all I got was a runaround. They wanted 150 dollars to replace the pre amp in the guitar and I told then no way. I went on ebay and bought the pre amp for $8.83 and it took me about an hour to fix it. Also the brand new strings they charged me for were all corroded. Beware of this place I will never ever do business with them again. Twice they have ripped me off.
9. Beast Guitars
Address: BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, 140 Katherine Blvd, Melbourne, FL 32904 , Melbourne , Florida , United States
Just learning to play and found original set up on my new acoustic was difficult to play and hard on my fingers as a beginner. Mike changed out the strings lowered the action and did some other adjustments and what a difference. I’m playing with much more ease, guitar sounds crisp and clean with zero buzz! All measurements were also recorded. Quality work, absolutely! Thanks Mike! Highly recommend!
Mike is the man and I’m glad I brought my guitar to him I called and spoke to a few local shops he was there number 1 choice and had the best turn around time. I now see why he did a awesome job we talked and went over exactly what I wanted and that’s exactly what I got and that is very rare these days I will only bring my guitars to him from now on
I came in looking for a guitar to learn on. Mike is stationed inside of Marion Music and although I didn’t buy anything yet, I will be bringing whatever guitar I end up buying to him for a set up and to show him. He was very informative on things I should look for in a guitar and explained to me the hardware involved in the sounds of a guitar, all while being very patient and kind. Very easy going! Will do business with Mike soon.
Redid the electronics and replaced the bone nut in my Fender Lead II. Has never sounded better. My only gripe is having to take the entire pickguard off to change the batteries when they die, so I think I’m gonna have to come back soon to change them.
10. Rocksteady Music Company

Wonderful place. Good vibes beautiful items for sale
LOVE
Small, family owned shop that is like walking into another world. Beautiful and cozy. The owner, Anthony, helped me pick out a beautiful drum. I bought my husband his favorite tie-dye tee-shirt there. My Mom found some pretty jewelry and accessories there. Shop local and visit the Love Hut for gifts, clothing, home decor, music and more.
Cool place
Great prices, nice handmade fair trade items
Very cute store found what i was looking for
12. Trebla Studios
Address: 807 E Hibiscus Blvd, Melbourne, FL 32901 , Melbourne , Florida , United States
This is an excellent state of the art studio. The owner and engineer Al Biele is a musician as well. His skill in engineering the recording of my novel was impeccable. I am so thankful and glad that I was able to find this studio right here in Melbourne, Florida.
Excellent piano and voice lessons. Very affordable. Friendly and knowledgable.
Al at Trebla is a very talented and creative musician/producer. He’s able to take an idea and whip it into a masterpiece in a short amount of time. He is respectful to the integrity of the artist and as eager as the artist to have their creation recognized by the world. He is cool to work with, and I would highly reccomend Trebla for all your studio recording needs.
13. Atlantic Strings Violin Shop
Address: 1379 W New Haven Ave, Melbourne, FL 32904 , Melbourne , Florida , United States
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. And fast! They know your time is precious and don’t waste it.
I’ve been a customer of both Atlantic Strings locations (Orlando and Melbourne) since I started learning to play Irish fiddle a year and a half ago. I recently took my daughter to the Melbourne store for a fiddle purchase and couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. Marley helped us and gave us her full attention for over an hour. The luthier not only set up my daughter’s fiddle while we waited, but performed a tonal adjustment on mine as well (and yes, it does sound SO much better) They have an excellent inventory of instruments and accessories — what a great resource for the Central Florida area! I highly recommend shopping for your next instrument at Atlantic Strings, and be sure to ask for Marley!
Friendly service with knowledgeable staff.
Always a great place to visit. Staff are helpful and knowledge. Luthier’s are expert.
Good choices helpful
Have wide range of string instruments in various price ranges.
Was happy with work they did on my violin.
Friendly and helpful staff. Not intimidating at all, which was my concern in first going there.
I bought and rented quite a few instruments from Atlantic Strings over many years for my kids, even a piano way back when it also sold pianos. I happened to need something for myself today and was very disappointed. I asked if I could buy a bass bag, but return it the next day if it didnt work out. They said no and made me feel embarrassed and stupid for asking. Now I will buy the same case for 30 dollars cheaper on Amazon and never buy anything from Atlantic strings again. Way to lose a longtime customer!
Overpriced
I bought a viola from this company, ended up being too big for my daughter. Took it back they have a no refund policy and don’t let them fool you about the trade in policy. It was traded in for a viola that wasn’t even close to the original one I bought. The bridge on this viola broke within two months. They just traded it out again on another one and this
one doesn’t even have a quality sound to it. They are a horrible run
company. They could care less if their customers are happy with their
purchases. I would highly not recommend this to anyone.
14. Melbourne Municipal Band
Address: 1924 Melody Ln, Melbourne, FL 32901 , Melbourne , Florida , United States
Best meat and seafood in the area. Seafood is kept very cold
Their signs tell you what is available. Look at the sign. Their crab cakes are GREAT, and the frozen shrimp are the best I have had in the area. I only buy my salmon from here. It’s the best!
I won’t tell you my favorite Deli item, because I’d not be able to buy it — It’s that good. Try them, you’ll like them.
Wonderful music and musicians
Called 4 times to confirm swing time concert. Got almost unintelligible recording. Result —- we stayed home .
The reason why the band director deserves one star review because couple year back maybe 3 years the band director told me I not smart enough to play with Municipal band community base of my disability and she asked me to play with beginners community. I am doing well now. I got full sponsorship at the private music school I am getting better with music. I am leading most of 1st music and leading the solo after private music teacher helping me on the music a lot. I moved somewhere else living on the mountains with really nice community band players who don’t ask people step down like she told me. I try contacting if I could write music she refuse I also send her all my audio I wrote. I write music by ear from scratch. Everyone else is 5 Star I like all the people in Municipal band back then.
15. Brevard Symphony Orchestra
Address: 780 S Apollo Blvd Ste. 218, Melbourne, FL 32901 , Melbourne , Florida , United States
I have been going to the Brevard Symphony concerts for more than 50 years. I’ve watched the symphony grow into a first class orchestra under the baton of our conductor Chris Confessore. Best kept secret in Brevard County.
My favorite local place to listen to music!
Loved last night’s concert. Peter Boyle’s symphony tribute to the immigrants who came to our country through Ellis Island was very moving.
16. Push Podcast & Production Studio
Address: 21 E Melbourne Ave, Melbourne, FL 32901 , Melbourne , Florida , United States
My husband and I went to buy a digital piano for our daughter. The owner is so nice. Was personable and helpful. Our daughter will be starting piano lessons there in the fall. Highly recommend. We also love to support small businesses and you can’t go wrong with Premier.
Frank campione is great to work with when buying pianos! The piano teachers at premier are amazing. Mimi and David rock!
Today I had the pleasure of meeting Frank the owner of Premier Music. He’s 5 star in my book. He was very professional, he kept his word. Show up on time and was super helpful in a very stressful time. He does his job well, very knowledgeable when it comes to moving a piano. He save the day with my family. Please call Premier Music , ask for Frank. You will love him. All the best Frank.
Not open when they say . Can only look at pianos by appointment and you are immediately overwhelmed with questions about price range .
I purchased a piano here…kind of felt like I was getting the “bum’s rush” – that I needed to hurry up and buy right now. I didn’t trust/believe what the owner said..Be very careful if you shop here. Sadly, you must remember : let the BUYER BEWARE.
I went here once and bought guitar strings and all was great I went back a few times to look at buying a guitar but they were never open and had a sign by appointment only but never had any luck making one
18. Around Downtown Studio
Address: 2018 Melbourne Ct unit 206, Melbourne, FL 32901 , Melbourne , Florida , United States
Man, the barbers there are top notch. Make sure you schedule an appointment there 10 days in advance – those guys are in high demand.
Cool environment and one of 1st shops, fully open, after quarantine.
Awesome atmosphere and the barbers were very polite, but the services are overpriced IMO. I had my hair cut by Alfie himself- he was nice and asked what I was looking for. I told him I wanted a fade, but stressed that my goal was to keep growing out the top. He gave me a great fade and styled my hair but did absolutely nothing to clean up the top. It took him less than 30 minutes to fade my hair and style the top, and the cost was 30 dollars before tip. He didn’t use a straight razor at all to clean up any lines, and overall I feel that there was a lack of attention to detail. I’ve been to plenty of boutique barber shops, and for 30 dollars I expected more.
My son and I have been going to Alfie’s for the past 5 months. We drive 25 minutes one way for Nick who cuts our hair. Nick does a great job and is full of stories…this is a hip old style barbershop! They have recently opened a second location in downtown Cocoa Village which is also a cigar bar.
I like it
We have been to Alfie’s quite a few times between my two boys and have always had decent haircuts. Unfortunately, last week was the third time that we were waiting over a half hour past our appointment time and each time this happened nobody seemed to care and no apologies have ever been given. This past time our appointment was for 6:30 and at 7 the barber was just starting to shave the guy he had in his chair. We would’ve been waiting at least another 30 minutes for all that to wrap up. And my son had basketball practice at 7:30 so we couldn’t wait around any longer. I guess appointment times and decent customer service don’t really matter at Alfie’s 🙁 We always kept coming back because of how much my son liked his haircuts. But this third time was the final strike and we will not be coming back.
My 12 year old son was extremely disappointed when we left because he loves going there and we have yet to find another barber. So now my poor son is walking around all mop headed and miserable thanks to Alfie’s. If anyone knows a really good barber in town, please let me know!!
DO NOT GO HERE AND GET MIKE. Super nice guy but he doesn’t know how to do a fade. Asked for a 2/1 fade but he gave me an uneven 2. Left my sideburns different lengths . Didn’t show me the haircut and doesn’t line up any of your hair. NOT WORTH 36 DOLLARS!!!!
19. Stone Tone Products
Address: 700 Atlantis Rd Ste 308, Melbourne, FL 32904 , Melbourne , Florida , United States
Great product! Noticed a big difference compared to the stock block, great and inexpensive upgrade. Will definitely upgrade the rest of my guitars with stone tone blocks.
I’ve been in the calibration and measurement field for nearly 25 years now, and have quite a bit of experience in the audio engineering field. Having said that, I am very skeptical when it comes to claims such as the ones that Stone Tone makes, about new products, that seem to perform miracles, the kind of claims which every company in business make nowadays, but I have to say, this technology and this product are as absolutely legit as it gets ! In my profession, we use hardness testers and surface levels that measure the tiniest fractions of a single degree and that kind of precision and technology is what is being used here to aid in the transfer of sound waves through objects as accurately as physically possible and the end result is a an amazingly accurate output that was just not being utilized before now !!! Just like the woodwind family, specific density and composition of material is carefully chosen to customize and fine tune a unique sound by the composer and this process is very similar and has the same effect on sound waves and is a new and different tone or mood on the end product. I’m not paid or given anything by anyone to endorse this product, I just honestly can’t stop talking about how brilliant the concept is and how true the hype is.
