I have to give the Guitar Center at this location a thumbs… UP!
I’m one of those picky customers. Even though I changed my mind a couple of times… I walked out with a beautiful Taylor and I am quite happy. The guys there were very knowledgeable and helpful!♡
awesome customer care
Awesome location. Spacious store. And yes, they are open on Sundays!!
They really didn’t have anything and the stuff is not very helpful at all, they walking around talking and playing with watch other.
Great service
From A Black Man. I stood at the counter with a new, empty, Guitar Center credit card in my pocket. I was looking to buy an interface device, and saw the one I was interested in on the shelf. The two white men behind the counter never acknowledged me, but they acknowledged, and said Hello to every white person who walked up. The one white guy was helping a customer, the other, who hovered over his shoulder, was free to assist me, but , since I did not “qualify as a customer” I left the counter, and returned twice, a total of 3 visits to that area…and had the same result each time. Don’t believe me? Check the camera footage! Black people play instruments, and record music, too…! This location was my favorite, but no more. Very dissapointed.
They sucks
Yeah act like they didn’t want to wait on me

AWESOME MUSIC SHOP hands down and thumbs up!
E.M. Is not your typical “store front” kind of place, like the ones that are shrouded in bright lights and banners – NO! but instead there is a rather unique vibe to the shop. You get a very “cool” sense of being in a specialty music shop in NYC instead of a retail store in a strip mall somewhere. Brother Mitch that works there is a great help if you should ever need solid, precise and honest information concerning answers to any gear questions you may have.
I would definitely recommend EM to all my musical friends.
Evolution Music… An easy going shop with a great selection of gear for all tastes, at fair prices, as well as a very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable crew. A-1
(Personally for me, the only thing missing would be some incense quietly burning)
All ways have what I want. Great staff!
Absolutely the best place to go to sell or buy used gear. Even after nearly a year between visits the staff recognizes me, and they are always happy to help, answer questions and be cool.
Bought a nice used snare for a reasonable price. I will be shopping here for great deal on used parts
Terrible experience, treated so poorly. Bought online and never again, aren’t to be trusted.
Asked to see a guitar and the manager couldn’t be bothered. I emailed the company to ask for help and got no response.
They claim to Promote your band but all they do is take your money. Only promotion is facebook and there are only bands liking there page. No local advertising in newspapers etc. that would take money from there pockets – beware of Evolution Music or at least look into them before you go.

Went there to ask if he would appraise a musical instrument that I found, he was extremely helpful and nice, explained all the parts very well and gave me a price that I could possible get for it. Great guy and very helpful.
Of course I manage to break a part on my bass that most bass players have never heard of breaking before…not only was the part improved upon (my tuning pegs are now a bright silver!), love the choice of strings selected for my style (and capabilities) of playing! Love having both stores in reach…one by walking and one by bus! Even had my tone controls tightened (yeah…I let them go loose years ago and just never moved ’em). Great deal on all of it! In my opinion, worth the investment as I having been playing it a lot more…now that it works again!
Do they have a clarinets
I like that this place is close and will continue to buy my notation paper here. It’s a little expensive, very small, and outdated. I asked about getting a job here and I think I’m going to retract my statement. I would not like teaching in a place like that.
8. R T Guitars

Ree is the consummate pro, and VERY reasonable pricing. I had repair done that was projected to be a week, and Ree had it complete and playing beautifully in 5 HOURS! Obviously knows his stuff, but explains in a way that neither talks above the customer, or patronizes. Take your business to Ree; you will not regret it! 5 Stars is not enough for Ree.
Great Guitar Mentor and Luthier… Well respected South Side dealer. If anyone is interested in purchasing gear from this list R.T. is your man!

A genuine and down to earth gentleman. Pleasure doing business with.
Smells like low standards and bad decisions! The guy on the phone is not helpful. I need directions and could provide me with them. No wonder why you don’t have a professional store.
