Our son has taken lessons for almost a year at Music Matters. They staff is wonderful and patient and his teacher has helped grow his interest and passion for music.
Excellent service. It’s been a few months, but I believe Justin helped me. Would definitely recommend this place for instrument rentals.
Was a good experienced staff. Helped in many ways finding the instrument I needed.
Good collection of music instruments
Great little music shop with unique instruments not available at larger chain stores
They have great music instructors, that’s where they shine, the piano instructor got my daughter playing beautifully extremely fast. You can buy all kinds of instruments but they’re mostly starter quality, cheap but plenty good enough to be a 1st instrument for your kids. If you’re looking for higher end stuff there isn’t much of a selection. They have all the other fun stuff like drumsticks, picks, strings, accessories for everything, sheet music, etc, and a waiting room to watch tv while the kids are in for their lessons.
I think they even don’t deserve to have 1 star.. my three kids were taking piano and drum lessons from here for a few years..and I spent thousands of dollars for those lessons there.. it was okay until may but I don’t know what happened during summer they are totally disaster now. Kessler who is at the front desk is extremely rude.. I have never seen someone like her with poor quality before. they have very big management problems and I think they will not to have either teacher or students soon if they continue like this.
Would give 0 stars. This company is the worst. Ordered a flute in October. Kept calling for months. This store finally received flute on December 2nd and was signed for, but lost the flute when I called on December 3rd. This store reordered a flute and was supposed to receive on the 7th, 10th, and today the 14th. Still no flute. Officially cancelled. The worst company. This business was referred by child’s school music program, so I thought it was a good company. Horrible.
Not a place for pro musicians
5. Target
Address: 13055 GA-9 N, Milton, GA 30004 , Milton , Georgia , United States
Rude managers and rude employees. Wouldn’t honor the same sale as the target literally 10 miles down the road.
I picked up my daughter birthday cake from Target and not even 20min after leaving the store I found that my cake had melted (buttercream cake) and the second layer of my cake had slide off the bottom part. I contacted the bakery department and the lady in the Bakery made it seem as if it was my fault and acted as if she didn’t want to help me. I then requested to speak to a manager and I was transferred to Jim who told me I could come back in and we could see what they could do for me. Once I arrived at the store I was told theu couldn’t fix the cake and they had never seen anything like that before. I was told I couldn’t get a refund but they could offer a new cake but not the original one My daughter wanted. My daughter needed to have something for her birthday party that was two hours away. Unfortunately after all that it was the worst cake I had ever had, no body at my party wanted to eat it and I had to throw the cake away. I will not be going bake to target bakery it was a waist of money and time!
You don’t let your workers unionize, you starve them for hours, and you don’t respect the workers that have been with you for years.
6. Guitar Center
Address: 970 North Point Dr Suite A120, Alpharetta, GA 30022 , Milton , Georgia , United States
Great store. Not as big as some I have been in, but the staff is very helpful. I found a great deal on Musicians Friend and they matched the price and I didn’t have to wait for it to come in the mail. I’ve made several purchases there and have always been happy with the pricing and service.
Pleasantly surprised while shopping in Guitar center. Huge collections of hi tech sound products, music instruments of all kinds needless to say, Guitars.
By the way , most important part is the people/ sales/ product specialists who are much more knowledgeable and eager to help than many big name competitors.
One causion: Though GC has an impressive return policy of 45 days , please check which items are non returnable. Otherwise great place for your musical needs.
Good store but expensive
I’d only go here or any Guitar Center at this point to buy strings. Your tech department needs some serious help. I brought in a Les Paul Studio Deluxe a few months ago that was in need of a setup and your guitar tech charged me for the setup but told me that the “guitar was obviously stored in a hot shed somewhere and the neck was too warped and twisted to ever be setup correctly by anyone.” I left GC that day with a guitar where the action was sky-high and the intonation was off. I brought it to Righteous Guitars in Alpharetta and paid (again) to have it setup and they did it with no problem. Low action, no buzzing, stays in tune, intonation is perfect. This seems to be a problem across all GCs. Don’t offer the service if you can’t get qualified people to do it. I’ll never use your guitar tech/repair department again.
Wanted to get my guitar fixed and was told there was no technician and didn’t know when they would have one
I’ll never go to a guitar center again. I drove nearly 45 minutes to this location just to buy a cable and when I asked the employee behind the counter for the specific cable, he didn’t even look and said “nah, we don’t have that” so I looked it up on the GC app and showed him that it says they have a few in stock and he pointed at a giant box of cables behind him and said “oh, yeah they’re probably in that box there but I’m busy and I’m not going to just walk away from what I’m doing to get that for you.” I explained that I drove a long way just to get that cable and he again stated that he’s not going to just walk away from what he was doing so I just walked out. I’ve never had an experience like this at Guitar Center and have bought a lot of stuff from there but after this, I’ll probably never go back.
7. Righteous Guitars
Address: 1455 Hembree Rd, Roswell, GA 30076 , Milton , Georgia , United States
This is hands down the best guitar store I’ve ever been to. Daniel was super knowledgeable and answered every question politely and with ease. They go above and beyond to make their stock play and look as good as possible too.
I recently took my guitars to get serviced at Righteous Guitars. I am extremely happy with the outcome and the amazing service. From the beginning, Ben helped me on the phone and was able to get my reservations situated for two guitars at once. Super cool dude and helpful – and this was around closing time. He even took time to talk a little about gear / guitars with me. When I arrived to drop off, they maintained all the safety protocols for COVID by adhering to a reservation system and limiting the showroom customers. They also enforced masks and had hand sanitizer ready at the door. Everyone was very friendly and also thorough during the check-in and check-out process. When I went to pick up the guitars, Daniel assisted me and ensured all was in good order. He carried the guitar cases over, opened them up, wiped things down and waited while I tried things out. The guitars still needed a little fine tuning. So he put them both back on the bench and adjusted. He kindly set me up with an amp I requested to try with the guitars. Everything sounded and felt amazing. After I had left, Daniel called and notified me that I had left the tremolo arm behind. I was almost home, so he said he’d check on mailing it to me. I called to ask the status and he had already called me and texted me to ask if it was cool to drop it off in my mailbox since he’d be in the area. Just moments ago, I saw Daniel pull up and I ran outside to thank him. That’s some unreal customer service and help. Thanks Daniel, Ben and the whole Righteous team. I highly recommended Righteous Guitars. Their service is second to none and their guitar and amp selection is amazing. Not to mention they have pedals ranging from Boss to boutique builders across the pond. I’m glad I have some self control – otherwise, I’d have my dream amp and collection of JAM pedals. Great stuff!
Great experience, excellent customer service and a very impressive stock of guitars and amps and a great guitar tech in the premises.
Have not been there but looks like six string heaven!
This is a beautiful store with a magnificent display of guitars. I was never ask if I would like to play one through an amp.
The salesman at Guitar Center did ask if I would like to go into a private room and try out a few guitars.
I love my new PRS from Guitar Center.
Prices are a little high, outstanding selection of guitars. Very knowledgeable and polite staff.
Meh. I remember the days when privately-owned music stores made it a point to take care of repeat customers, going out of their way to make sure the customer was satisfied with their purchases and doing everything in their power to make things right. Those days are gone, and I won’t be shopping here again. Your mileage may vary, may the odds be ever in your favor.
No greeting. Vague responses to questions. Retail prices. Sterile.
Went in yesterday and had a terrible experience. I have purchased high end guitars all over the country and never experienced such rude and condescending people. Don’t waste your time going there.
8. Ken Stanton Music
Address: 6010 North Point Pkwy, Alpharetta, GA 30022 , Milton , Georgia , United States
I came here 2 days ago, not knowing anything about guitars or where i should start. I came in just hoping i can find a affordable guitar so i could start learning. Ansley helped me so much with my decision making. she spent her whole time with me, educating me on certain guitars with their background, the material used for them. I really felt confident in my decision making thanks to her help. i would definitely recommend going to her if you’re new and don’t know where to start like me.
We went today to buy my 8 year old son his first guitar and Jacob S. was so helpful and walked us through everything. He helped him get set up for everything he needs to start lessons. He took his time and didn’t rush us. The store was clean and neat. We’d been to another store previously and it took 30 minutes to get any help just for them to give us not so great advice. Glad we found this store!!
My bass wasn’t working and they were about to close. Yet, they still managed to look and at it and fix it. It sounds great and 100% customer satisfaction. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.they helped me in 5 mins quickest ever!!!
I am visiting from Las Vegas and found Cheney Brannon, in the drum department to be friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to spend a few minutes with me. Cheney will be getting a call from me next year when I will be ready to buy my new Tama Star or Starclassic kit……
Friendly, very helpful
Do not rent an instrument from this company….they double bill and then report negatively to credit agencies, purchase may be ok
DO NOT LEASE OR RENT
I bought a flute here then a month later it breaks while doing an E flat I am upset because I went again got it repaired then 3 days later it breaks
I took my son’s guitar to fix string and my son’s tuner gone. So I called and someone who answer the phone he saying they can’t do anything. Even didn’t try pull up my information. I want to give 0 star if I can.
9. Ponce De Leon Music Center
Address: 1060 Dahlonega Hwy, Cumming, GA 30040 , Milton , Georgia , United States
Great teachers for all instruments and a large selection of music.
Great selection
Employees are always friendly and helpful!
Very friendly staff!
I brought my daughters here, ones in high school and has been playing for a while and one is going into middle school and just beginning. While I would give the guys more stars they were amazing!! They had great service and went the extra mile to make sure my daughters were comfortable especially my new band student who is playing sax!!
The reason why I gave the music store 3 stars was because of the woman who works there. She comes off as pushy, bossy and gets really into peoples private business.. She had me really mad the day I went there.. I feel for the men who work there.
The staff isn’t the nicest but they do help. I rented my oboe from here and so far it plays well!
Had to make a quick stop to grab a few things. I know it was closing time. I was trying to make it quick. When they started harassing my husband reminding him when they close he left and we took our business somewhere else. Customers want to feel welcomed, not reminded how unfortunate you are to have to lock the door right at 5:00.
The customer service is awful I definitely won’t be back there every again
Great selection of musical instruments, friendly staff and music lessons are really good and are at an affordable price.
Great team over at Music Authority. They do great work on set ups and repairs as well. Saved me some money identifying an issue on a used acoustic I was about to buy privately that would have cost me hundreds down the line. Quick turn around on set ups and repairs. Taylor wall is something to marvel at.
My daughter have been taking music lessons at Music Authority for over 3 years now. It’s a great place to learn music for any age group. Highly recommend MA!
I was referred to Music Authority after moving to the area and wanting to continue with my music lessons. I was a little skeptical when I arrived as I’m used to larger big box music stores like Sam Ash and Guitar Center. 2 years later I’m still a happy customer. They have great instructors all with degrees in music and actively play in places of worship and/or gig professionally which was important to me. The staff is courteous and helpful and keeps me informed on what’s happening. They do have a retail merchandise space in the front of the store that offers what I’d call a light to medium selection of quality guitars, amps, drums and equipment/accessories (NOTE: no DJ/lighting equipment, keyboards, recording or HS band equipment here). It’s very convenient after a lesson to shop and pick up those must haves. I’ve bought many things including a guitar that I’m very happy with. They’re knowledgeable, stand by their merchandise and even offer special incentives that the larger stores don’t. They have a repair and service shop that I’ve yet to use but would if needed. Don’t let me forget all the things this place does for young musicians like summer rock camps, concerts, jam nights, open mic nights and more. I wish I had access to a music organization like this one when I was a kid… I’d be a better musician today if I did. Yes, I recommend this place.
Mr.Mark is my son’s Piano teacher and my son enjoys his piano lessons.
Went in for a purchase. Didn’t end up buying, but one of the owners assisted me and had a lot of knowledge to offer. People came in and out for lessons and they were all treated very well… you can see the passion. The store could use a bit of updating, which is the primary reason for 4 stars instead of 5.
Music Authority’s website says they offer services including instrument repairs, however, this is only a half truth. When we took our daughters clarinet here for service/repair, we were told they don’t work on band instruments, they only work on guitars. Very frustrated with these guys after this interaction. I am not likely to return to Music Authority for any of my musical needs.
Over priced compared to a lot of other music stores in the area. Only worth it if you are in a pinch.
Very unfriendly if you can’t use the exact terms correctly,

At Beau Vinci, Emily Dixon makes the process of buying a violin from a distance exceptionally smooth. We discussed price points and what we were looking for, and she sent 4 violins and 5 bows to choose from. We spent a week with the instruments, made our decision, then shipped the rest back with the ease of UPS drop-off. With the return shipment, we returned our old violin and bow for which we were credited their original purchase price. We are pleased with both the quality of the instruments and the accessible and knowledgable customer service.
Nice customer servive
Emily and the staff at Beau Vinci have been wonderful to work with for the last few years! Their instruments are good quality, reasonably priced, and their customer service is top notch. It is very clear that getting good instruments in the hands of students and adults alike is more important to them than money. 10 outta 10 would recommend!
Seldom have I been treated that poorly at a business; really disappointing. I play several instruments and had gotten a (very well rated) violin set (violin bow, accessories) as a gift and the bow needed re-strung. Upon inspection Emily says this is junk, costs more to re-hair than it’s worth, we’ll throw it away and we’ll sell you another. The face she made said it all, what a puss. I said let me shop around; I was basically kicked out, happy shopping she says.
If you’re not sure you’re going to spend some money, stay away.
We visited this store on Saturday morning, trying to rent a violin for my son’s school orchestra program. The guy was nice and professional at the begin, and they have a good promotional rent price for back-to-school – only $5 for first two months. We were happy to make a rent, until he gave us the case and told us the total price was 70 something, because he stuff a lot things in the case – a practice book for $15, a shoulder rest for $25, a rosin for $15, and maybe other stuffs I just can’t remember, without asking us whether we needed or not. We were surprised and told him that we didn’t need these stuffs except a rosin. The guy unhappily toke these additional things out and told us he would offer the violin for 5 dollar + 6 dollar for insurance but he wouldn’t let us take the violin without telling him my social security number. We rejected the offer and left the store.
Then we went the Atlanta Violin store in Roswell instead. We had very pleasant experience at there. The young clerks are really nice and gave us very good and fast service. we were happy to leave with a violin in the case.
Some people that worked at Beau Vinci came to my school to check our instruments and WITHOUT EVEN PLAYING MY VIOLIN one of the ladies said that it wasn’t good enough and asked “can you get something better?” The way she said it was also very very rude and hurt my feelings quite a lot 🙁
I get that they were trying to promote their store and get people to buy their expensive violins from them. I actually used to go there, but I don’t see myself going back.
14. Music & Arts
Address: 6010 North Point Pkwy, Alpharetta, GA 30022 , Milton , Georgia , United States
Staff is very helpful and friendly. Good deals for buying, selling, and trading.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. A staff member helped with some things. Not my first time shopping here so I know that for sure.
Have done business with them in Lilburn and since moving to Duluth. Always have had a real good experiences with them.
Excellent. I couldn’t get a demo on the instrument that I came for but this was not surprising considering it was an unusual instrument(EWI 5000 electronic wind instrument) The staff are great and the inventory is large. Prices are competitive especially if you follow their markdowns online. I got a great deal on this one and it works and looks like new!
Genial
Very knowledgeable staff for any instruments. Learners to pros.
I brought a Martin GPC15ME a few years ago and it was mainly kept in storage. This is an $1800 guitar brand new. I went to this newish Duluth location hoping to get $1000 minimum which is less than 60% of new cost. They offered me $750. Don’t go here if you have a gem. Find another place.
I’d give less than one star if it were an option. Upon looking online I found a wireless guitar system I wanted to purchase but also check out prior to such. I called the store & was told YES they had the item in stock. It’s a bit of a long drive for me to their location. I drove all the way out there & when I walked through the door I’m greeted by an employee who appeared a bit disoriented acting. Nevertheless, I informed him I was there to check out the wireless guitar system I called about. The employee looked the item up & confirmed it being there … then he began walking around the store looking for it. (Kinda odd u wouldn’t assign items such as this a general location) perhaps near the guitar pedals. So after about 5 mins of him wandering around the store I’m told he can’t find the item. I explain I called & drove a bit of distance specifically for this item (I was also looking at a high priced guitar) The employee begins wandering around the store joking around with other employees but ultimately no real effort to locate the item I came for was made as well as no apologies given for not having the item after I was told they must’ve lost it.
This also tells me if I were to purchase this item online they’d not be able to accommodate my purchase. As I searched the store myself a couple of friendly customers engaged with me in chat.
I also noticed anytime a customer wanted to try out a guitar the employees would play the instrument more so than the customer asking to try it out. Meaning the employees would take an instrument off the rack someone wants to play & rather than hand it to them right away they play their entire musical catalogs it appears. So as a dissatisfied customer there was absolutely no apologies for the mistake they made of not having the item in stock nor was there even a remote attempt to satisfy a displeased customer. For example – we are sorry u drove all this way for an item we assured u was in stock but unfortunately there was miscommunication on our part so to accommodate we will take a percentage off any purchase u like to make up for our error. That would be providing customer service. Something the employees need to learn apparently as opposed to trying to show off on the instruments they’re attempting to sell.
U lost a couple thousand dollars sell today because of this. I had planned to purchase a Gibson with the wireless guitar system. I won’t ever return because of this experience & inform others to do business elsewhere because ultimately u are clueless to ur inventory.
Was told that i wpuldnt have to worry abput getting low balled on my music equipment and that was a lie. Didnt even want cash just wanted a fair trade on an instrument. They seriously tryed to rip me off on my trade ins. Even when one of my items was completly new in box. Cant wait to see how much longer that guitar sets on there and no one buys it. Waisted two hours of my day and gas. Would have brought these guys lots of good buisness with new trade ins and buys on equipment.
16. Donley’s Music
Address: 5080 Hickory Flat Hwy, Canton, GA 30115 , Milton , Georgia , United States
Never used Donley’s Music before. Read some varied reviews about Guitar Center so I decided to shop local. Took my 12 string in to be set up, including new strings. Could not be happier with the work performed. Delivered on schedule as promised, shop communicated as promised. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with the work performed. I hadn’t played this guitar in a few years. It now looks as nice as it ever has, sounds better than it ever did. Great job guys! I’ll be back.
My kids and I love this place
Great shop with great people.
Donley’s , always, customer service above par but their repair tech did not mirror Donley’s reputation AT ALL. MY 9YR old niece offered to try a repair. I will probably get the same visual “quality” result BUT WOULD SAVE $100.
They were very nice.
Very friendly staff and they will buy your instruments at a fair price.
I tried to buy ernie ball regular slinkys and they put ernie ball super slinkys in my bag while I wasn’t paying attention. Poor selection of accessorys.
I brought my son for one month of guitar lessons. There was a break down in their process and we never received a calendar. For this I was called a liar and unethical because I told them we weren’t coming back. The owner says everyone knows this is how they do it but obviously we didn’t know. He said I was stealing money out of the instructor’s pocket. However we paid for all lessons given. The owner couldn’t acknowledge there was the possibility of a mistake (we didn’t get a calendar explaining the policies or the schedule of lessons and the girl that took my money explained it as a month to month payment system) and demanded we pay.
If he had chosen to say That there was a possibility of a mistake and asked if we could meet in the middle without calling my integrity into question then I would have probably paid. We are talking $100 but the fact that he went straight to the only reasonable explanation was that I was lying isn’t acceptable.
We went in the month of September for a total of 3 lessons. I paid for the entire month, half off because we bought a guitar. We didn’t go to a lesson last Monday (first Monday in October or today) not today. I got a text from the instructor asking if we were coming back. I told him we were not. The instructor apologized for how the owner handled the situation and told me that we didn’t owe him anything.
We will not do business here again.
These people should not be trusted with children.
17. Town Center Music
Address: 4072 Suwanee Dam Rd NW, Suwanee, GA 30024 , Milton , Georgia , United States
Went into the store with guitar issues, questions, and a lot of naïveté. They were very helpful on all occasions and definitely helped me out where I needed it. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended, I keep going back.
I found the Town Center Music store after I moved to the area. I have to tell you that this spot has a really great feel to it.
Call me strange but as a musician I really want to find a great spot that isnt too big (Guitar center) and not also not too small that it feels sketchy.
They have a really great layout, everything is clean, (they have alot of assorted equipment) they have a wall setup for folks looking for other musicians ( Im buford looking for other people btw), they have a huge selection of pedals and they also are very helpful and very informative.
They took care of me really great (Kevin in particular) and I hope I can help convince you to give these guys a look over as I did.
(Ill be seeing you guys tommorow for some new strings if your reading this)
I was in need of an immediate re-fret for my #1 (primary guitar); a sonic blue stratocaster build vintage ’89 Fender Custom Shop neck, DiMarzio overwound Area series pickups and a custom Warmoth hardtail body.
Jon Michael refretted my guitar with new jumbo frets and it’s hands down the best refret Job I’ve ever seen. Absolutely flawless craftsmanship. Great price, and super fast turn-around. He threw in a set up and even redoweled my strap peg and a loose neck screw. Can’t recommend their services enough.
I’ll be coming back for any further guitar service needs in the future
Taught my kids to play guitar
Much better store I not been here in a while the past manager was not a music guy or a manger known as a air head I will be back
Good
Not where u want to shop you find poorly trained staff and not music people I shopped here off and on for years . just not good pepole
Went in there a couple days ago. Not a huge fan. Workers aren’t very pleasant people and they come up to you every 10 minutes kind of giving you the hint to leave if you’re not gonna buy anything like you’re in there too long.
Great for beginners I guess. Don’t come in here expecting higher quality equipment and experience. Name of their game is to hook beginners onto cheap equipment (which is totally fine) and get you out. No hanging out in there jamming for an extended time.
Maybe I came in on a bad day.
Took down my review. Owner ultimately seemed to care about his customers. Too bad everything is so politically incorrect. Anyone still remember Archie Bunker?
But to clarify what idiot would try to exchange something opened, like a reed.
Amazon prime still winnnning.
18. Music Trader
Address: 3964 Lawrenceville Hwy, Tucker, GA 30084 , Milton , Georgia , United States
This place looks like it needs a little love, but that belies the treasures that lie inside. This is an excellent place to find/trade music gear, but it doesn’t have everything, and you will need to check in frequently to see what has come in. The owner, Paul, is a font of knowledge, and I end up either walking away with the equipment I need or more understanding about that equipment. My two boys and I have been building up a tiny Christmas concert that we’re doing, and we enjoy our visits here. I highly recommend that you come, meet Paul, and spend some time here. It only takes 5 minutes to see if they have what you’re looking for, but you might find yourself spending a little more time just because of the friendliness and service.
My favorite place to buy previously owned music equipment.
We got two guitars from this gentleman along with a case a two straps and we couldn’t be happier. He’s very knowledgeable and helped us find the perfect guitar for us, shame I don’t live here anymore otherwise I would check this place out regularly!
It is a good shop. Paul is a good guy. They’re are often hidden gems.
Came to sell some music equipment and instead of being given a counter offer. This clearly unprofessional and disinterested man behind the counter clapped and asked me to leave. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you want your time wasted and your intelligence insulted. Just go to guitar center.
Edit. In an attempt to misrepresent me the owner has left a dishonest reply to this review. I was not offered proper customer service and I nor anyone that I work with will patronage your business. Best of luck to you as-well and I hope that you will take heed of the customer service practices of other more successful business in the area going forward.
Worst place I’ve ever stopped up this place is super racist I don’t see myself coming back in to a clutter filled place with bad customer service
I was treated very rudely by the “manager”. I refuse to ever give this establishment my business ever again. I buy used musical equipment, and a lot of it, and I’ll never spend my cash here again, no matter how desirable the inventory is.
19. Music & Arts
Address: 12182 Hwy 92, Woodstock, GA 30188 , Milton , Georgia , United States
I’ve walked by Woodstock Music & Arts hundreds of times over the years but never walked in until approximately 15 minutes before closing today. Cailey and her team (Josh and Kevin) were very helpful and stayed late to get me set up with an instrument and lessons. Cailey even stayed over an hour after closing to make sure I was all squared away for my 1st lesson next week. In the almost two hours I spent in the store it was obvious to me how passionate Cailey is about music and helping others, even us novices, find our way. Thank you!
Good service and very knowledgeable
Watch Your Bank Account Or Credit Card Statement If Renting From Them. They Randomly Charged My Account For About 6 Times The
Amount Of The Normal Rental And When I Called They Gave Me An 888 Number . I Called Them And They Said It Was The Collections Department So After Being On Hold For Over 20 Minutes They Finally Found Out It Was A Mistake And Will Credit My Account Back In 2 To 3 Days.
M&A is receiving 2 stars because of their poor customer service center. The brick and mortar shops are great – no issues. They have a great selection of instruments, knowledge, and aim to serve the customer. The customer center in Frederick, MD is abysmal to say the least. I experienced a series of billing issues related to a credit card on file, and I was not contacted by M&A until I received a notice from a debt collector regarding a debt consisting of 3 months of payments. The customer service representative took my credit card information over the phone and processed the payment and enrolled me in AutoPay. Sounds like my problem was resolved, right? No, I had provided my credit information two months prior and enrolled in AutoPay two months prior, thus my groundhog’s day experience pushed me over the edge.
I had billing / accounting problems with M&A on two separate instrument rentals. Their rent to own contract is very confusing, not sure why my children’s school recommended M&A. To cap off the accounting issue, M&A does not provide balance or payoff information for your rental. I find it useful to know my rental balance and early payoff balance each month. It helps me make good financial decisions, but I do not believe M&A wants you (the customer) to make financial decisions that negatively affect their bottom line.
I’m curious if M&A will respond to this review. Usually companies with a strong customer service culture do.
I would NEVER recommend this place to anybody. I preordered a guitar through them a month in advance. When i went to pick it up, I was informed I wouldn’t be receiving it for 6 more weeks. I immediately had them cancel my order and I ordered it online and received it in 3 days later. Fast forward 2 weeks and Music and Arts CHARGED ME FOR MY GUITAR ANYWAYS!! Will never be even walking near this store again.
20. Music & Arts
Address: 3630 Peachtree Pkwy #505, Suwanee, GA 30024 , Milton , Georgia , United States
Great store! Fantastic customer service. The manager, TJ, is great and super knowledgeable!
Great customer service!
I am a piano teacher and I have been shopping at this location for many years. In general I am very pleased with the service and the selection. The staff is friendly, the shelves are well stocked, and they have a wide variety of music books and materials for piano. Anything they don’t have they can order for your or get transferred from another store. It usually arrives within a few days and they are very conscientious about calling to let you know it arrived in the store for pick-up. If there is a specific song you are looking for they will search it online and print it right there in the store for you.
They also have many good sales throughout the year. I have recommended the full-size digital pianos to my students and have always been pleased with the quality. Many times you can get full-size digital pianos for $400, which is a great deal for the decent quality. However, keep in mind that the staff works on commission so they will try and sell you the more expensive item. Listen to your music teacher, and get what they recommend, not the sales people.
They have material for both ABRSM and NFMC Federated Festival.
They are also very supportive of the local music teachers association. On a regular basic they provide hospitality and refreshments for our monthly meetings.
Several of my high school students have also worked there over the summer. I like that they are good at hiring temporary summer help.
The only thing to be cautious of is renting instruments. I have never rented so I don’t have personal experience, but I have heard stories from my students renting instruments for band or orchestra. Make sure you know all the details of the contract you’re signing and read all the fine print.
Great teachers and management. The only PLEASE, the restrooms need to be clean more often during the day, normally are a mess
They are very efficient and there all the time and so nice
Couldn’t schedule lessons at agreed time two weeks in a row. No communication or advice notice given. Big waste of time, disappointing and sheer incompetence.
I was told we would get 30% off the purchase price of our rental if we purchased it in the first year. It was even stated in the contract. When I called to purchase it they would only give me 30% off the remaining balance not the original purchase price.
Since step in, sales reps didn’t pay attention at all, their were only 1 customer there before I step in. Waited about 10min, to try it to ask them for a help, no one pay attention.
