Dude here is really chill and nice it’s a little small but that’s fine it gives a cozy atmosphere
Top notch kratom and superb customer service! Chris and his team genuinely care, are very knowledgeable, and took the time to help me select what would work best for my needs. I am a customer for life now, and highly recommend T1P!
Great prices and some of the best quality kratom powder you could find. Customer Service is excellent. Highly recommend this place.
3. Mark’s Custom Guitars
Address: 3439 F 3/4 Rd, Clifton, CO 81520 , Palisade , Colorado , United States
Mark has helped me with repairs to several guitars. He is great luthier, does nice work and is fair and honest.
Mark has done both repair of my guitars as well as installation of pickups on several of my high end guitars. His prices are fair, his work excellent and his turn around time is exceptional. I would highly recommend this luthier.
Mark is great and knows his craft. He turned my two projects around in a couple days. Really helpful explanation of what needs to be done and saved me a couple hundred dollars with his advice. Thanks Mark!
4. Palisade Peach Shack Local Market & Fruit Stand
Address: 451 Wine Valley Rd, Palisade, CO 81526 , Palisade , Colorado , United States
Love their peach ice cream. Great gifts to take home. Clean and we’ll stocked.
They need to work on their people skills!
A bit pricey in my opinion. I had the breakfast burrito and for over $10 the quality just wasn’t there. The chocolate chip cookies were delicious and far from dainty in size. Overall not to bad but I look forward to trying out more of the many options they offer. The cashier was very nice making the service experience pleasant.
Over priced
Walked in today, ladies working were rude , and I honestly walked in excited to be there happy bc the building is so cute. They could careless for my business and couldn’t Crack a smile if they tried. The turkey sandwich was good but I wanted to run outta there.. Not friendly and will not go back. I’ll continue to shop at the gas station across the street instead when I travel.
Recently came here for coffee and breakfast service was terrible and I waited a lot longer than I was told it would be for the hand pies I ordered
Bring lots of money with you the prices are outrageous the peaches we’re not that good
5. Community Thrift Shop
Address: 721 Peach Ave, Palisade, CO 81526 , Palisade , Colorado , United States
Great place to get great wine. Great employees, friendly and helpful
We throughly enjoyed our tour with James, who gave a great historical perspective and insight into their wine making process. Ann was the wonderful hostess who poured our samples and made helpful suggestions. We highly recommend the behind-the-scenes tour!
Delicious fruit wines with a friendly and informative staff. Definitely get the passport so you can try Talon wines and the meadery.
The woman that served our wines was very friendly and knowledgable. They also sell gourmet pretzels and dips as well as cute wine cozies and other items relating to wine .
Pricey! ! Good views of Mount Garfield, though.
Wine was pretty good but service was ‘eh’. Server didn’t say anything about the wines or engage us in conversation during this non busy period. They did not acknowledge the group leaving of which several said thank you. Friendlier service in the area. Thursday 6/24 3:30 pm.
Rude staff who couldn’t even bother to say Hello… Never felt so uncomfortable in my whole life… Bleh!
To preface, I have periodically been going to this winery/meadery for years and have found it an enjoyable experience…until today.
My girlfriend and I went away to the tasting room where both Travis and Caroline(?) we’re tending the tasting room. I felt we were very much ignored and perceived the body language of both staff as us annoying them and that they couldn’t wait to get us out the door. We only ended up buying three bottles of ones I haven’t tried, when I would ordinary buy 9. We were never asked if we wanted to try anything else or if we wanted anything else, once again demonstrating that they couldn’t wait to get us out.
On top of this, there were only 6 other patrons, and both Travis and caroline(?) were very chatty and good natured with the other patrons, but when it came to us, extremely annoyed and based on their body language, couldn’t wait for us to leave.
We did nothing (I feel) that warranted this treatment, as I had to make eye contact to tell them (after being ignored for some time) in order to get assistance. There was no communication to us to give them a minute to prepare our flights, or the time it took them to even take our order of flights, which to me should be standard customer service 101.
I know this was long winded, but deeply saddened and let down by this experience, as os my girlfriend…
Good wine and nice gift shop but bad customer service.
7. The Ordinary Fellow
Address: 202 Peach Ave, Palisade, CO 81526 , Palisade , Colorado , United States
Wheeehoooo! This is the best spot we went to today. The wine is fantastic, the wine-tender, Neal, was knowledgeable and friendly. And the space! So dope. Don’t miss it if you come for wine tastings!
The kombucha is so insanely good! And the seating area is huge and very comfy, even on warm days. I love this spot!
Cute atmosphere but for me, the wine is very middle-of-the-road. It’s definitely not worth the INSANE prices. $16 for a glass of sparkling rose (or $48 for a bottle?! )? It’s absolutely not that good! Restoration has some of the best wine in the valley and they don’t charge as much – and the wine here doesn’t compare to theirs, so for them to charge MORE?! And much of the wine is kegged. Wild. I don’t imagine they’ll be in business for the long term.
Really good Rose wines.
Not for everybody, the wine selection is super slim to certain palettes. I enjoyed the Riesling but it was super acidic.
8. Grand Valley Music Co.
Address: 2486 Patterson Rd, Grand Junction, CO 81505 , Palisade , Colorado , United States
Could not help me get the right Reed for my son and did not offer me much help on my payments! Seem way more snobby now than when I used them years ago.
Friendly help and fast service. Came here to get a piece on a violin reapired.
Rip off – their lack of patience with me has cost me a few hundred dollars, but it will cost them my business for life and perhaps others as well. Get your instruments elsewhere.
Used to be a customer of 30 years, all of my life playing music – until today. Purchased an instrument case and I wasn’t 100% sure about it and the young person working that day said oh yeah, you can just bring it back for any reason for a refund as long as all of the accessories are still with it. I read my receipt and it said there is a 14 day return period and other various terms. I was within the 14 days and the other terms didn’t apply to this item. Upon returning the item a different person was there and as soon as I said I need to return it, had an attitude. They even.proceed to tell me my refund was $xxx amount, but took that back and said oh we have this 15% restocking fee. I said the receipt has the terms of return and a restocking fee isn’t on there. Why don’t the sales people point this out on large purchases. She just sighed and said nothing. This is what we get for trying to support local businesses. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.
Strange vibe. Poor customer service, high overpriced.
10. Hart Music
Address: 417 Main St, Grand Junction, CO 81501 , Palisade , Colorado , United States
These guys are great. It’s wonderful to walk in the store and feel the local presence of the owner and the people there really care about music and making you feel welcome.
Friendly.
Wow great staff, beautiful. Love the new instruments. Friendly staff, they allow you to play the instrument while being monitored to make sure it’s working correctly for you like I’ve never seen a place like this that’s just amazing.
Good local music store
Was sold a keyboard being told by the salesman it had a USB port to hook it up to the computer, write music with it and that it had touch sensitive keys. Wrapped it up as a gift for the daughter. When she opened it, we were telling her how she could hook it up to her computer and she was really excited. Then she started playing it, no touch sensitive keys or USB port. The very reason we bought it. So disappointing. We took it back, were told so sorry, our mistake. You can buy this one for 50.00 more that has everything you want and when you want to trade that one in, we’ll give you a great deal on it. We paid 172.00 for the keyboard at Harts music….I found it on Amazon, same keyboard for 99.00. Wish I would have checked Amazon first. Will not be going back to Harts Music totally took advantage of our ignorance in keyboards.
Bought a bass before I had a cell phone.
Was marked $1200, scratched out, marked $800, scratched out marked $600. Nice bass, thought it was a good deal. Missing hard case so got a soft case instead.
Found out later the retail price is $400.
Deceptive pricing.
Not impressed! My first experience with this shop, I brought an old acoustic in for some setup work after I switched to lighter strings. I did a neck adjustment but still had e string buzzing and a b string ring. I needed a new nut, and & bridge adjustment, fret leveling too which I explained, but Jan absolutely is clueless I guess all he heard was “string change”. I have a bunch of guitars I can do basic work on them and I’ve been changing my own strings for 30 years! but Jan promised me a pro would look at it and contact me to discuss the repairs. They shined me for a week, never tried to contact me as I promised, then all they did was change my strings (and they even put the wrong ones on!). Now all the strings buzz! So I’m right back where I started. I’m local too & gave them every chance, they failed miserably.

I love this place. They are open-minded, kind, friendly, and helpful. The staff is amazing! Christian is the best!
These guys are Awesome , Great People, Great Service!!!!
This review is mostly for the repair shop.
They did a great job setting up my 2009 Les Paul Studio (I purchased online “as is”). It was in real rough shape like totally unplayable and my wanting to switch to lighter strings didn’t help it. Fixed the hump in the neck, the most noticeable problem & adjusted everything else. The guitar now plays like new again set up with 9’s & with the Burstbucker Pro’s it sound’s frikin awesome!!!
It was done in 24 hours! I picked it up just after opening day after I brought it in.
The cost wasn’t bad, less than what I had expected.
The folks in this store are very cool but
honestly I’ve only purchased strings at the store, the prices are competitive & they’ve always had why I needed.
I don’t buy new guitars! never have never will.
Like many of you I haven’t had the best experience with Guitar Center online so I was kinda anxious about going to the Grand Junction store, but it’s a local store and they do a great job.
Read all of Guitar Center reviews, then go into the store. You’ll soon see all the negative reviews are true.
Horrible place. I’ll stick with the local music stores.
13. Palisade Brewing Company
Address: 200 Peach Ave, Palisade, CO 81526 , Palisade , Colorado , United States
I had a very comfy relaxing time.Other patrons looked to be also.Outdoors was open with great mountain mesa views.
Very good food
Very good local beer
Only had a beer each which was just fine. The outdoor patio is nice and dog friendly. Would go back
Great beverages and really good food. The locals seem to love it here, and I can see why. Everyone here works hard – service is great even if it’s a bit delayed, but that doesn’t matter IMO. If you’re feeling masochistic, I recommend their Troubled Mind imperial stout.
Beers were all too hoppy, even the kolsch. Fans weren’t on outside.
Staff wasn’t really helpful either.
Food tasted ok but then made us both sick when we went home
This is our neighborhood joint. Good beer, but it is god awful atmosphere. Grungy.
This place is awesome. Tons of vinyl and other cool stuff. Really cool people.
When you take one step in to Triple Play Records, it’s like you’ve time-traveled back to the 70s… They have a wide variety of vinyls, cassettes, CDs, and music memorabilia from the oldies to the newbies! They do have anything that you can think of, really! Let me also add that the atmosphere is so beautifully decorated, very clean, and absolutely “far out, man!”. Definitely would recommend this place to all of my music lovers!
Cool looking shop. Needs more metal
Love this place, such a chill vibe.
Plenty of vinyl and lost of cool nick nacks
I’ve been shopping here since I was a kid and every time I enter the store it brings back great memories!! Great Vinyl & music selection, very knowledgeable staff.
Very rude, like they were doing us a favor by taking our money. Rude to my special needs kid.
Way way too expensive
Poor customer service! Was shopping around and asked for a trash can to throw away the candy I was eating and was told to go outside and throw it away. So I went outside and didn’t come back (:
16. Colorado Vintners
Address: 3674 G Rd, Palisade, CO 81526 , Palisade , Colorado , United States
Thank you for staying open later and offering my music and food on Saturday evenings. It was such a nice treat to my boyfriend and I to enjoy the evening.
The froze is fun, and the pizza is thin crust with great flavors.
We had such a fabulous time at Colorado Vintner’s Collective! The tasting was so well informed and downright delicious. Perfect for a girls day or even a date night. We loved it! 10/10 recommend!
This place has only been open a couple weeks!!! We popped in this place while we were riding our bikes towards another winery and we are so glad we did! Super cute & very friendly staff, we got to chat with Aly, the owner for awhile & she was super sweet!!
We signed up for their wine club and look forward to their pickup events in Denver & any other fun things they do!
Great place for tasting. Very nice!
Great little place, loved the wine and the service was excellent. Four stars because I don’t believe the $15 pizza was made in house.
Great views. Knowledgeable waitress. Wines were good. Location was superb. With a great patio and beautiful views . Great spot for overnight camping on harvest hosts.
17. A Stage For You
Address: 394 Trenton Court, Grand Junction, CO 81504 , Palisade , Colorado , United States
Colorado band here!
We showed up in time to watch the stage go up and the sound system get tuned. It took one guy less than 2 hours to get his stage from on the truck hitch to show ready! 10/10 would recommend
Let’s go! A stage for you!
Timely, professional, respectful. What else could you ask for?
Equipment loooked and sounded professional on time service. Highly recommended.
18. Carlson Vineyards Winery
Address: 461 35 Rd, Palisade, CO 81526 , Palisade , Colorado , United States
Finished the day with a stop at this winery .
Was great service, server spent time with us and had a few laughs.
We ordered a bottle because they said it was cheaper.
So good.
Wine was great and the atmosphere pleasing. Fall colors surrounded us out in the sipping yard making for a great experience. Amanda was very pleasant and courteous, especially since we showed up toward the end of the day. She sets the stage for what a winery should be like. Not pretentious, just enjoyable. Rest of the staff were nice as well. We’ll definitely return.
You feel welcome since the moment you walk in. Very nice staff and good wine. We also got a complimentary tour from Justin , shout out to him!
Great place to sip on the juice!
Great variety of wines to taste. A flight of 5 for only $10, and you can select the five!
Clever wine names, engaging staff, reasonable prices, outstanding backyard views, and laughing cats. We loved it!
We were excited about this place because it came highly recommended, and it was walking distance from the Airbnb we were staying.
Wine was decent. About average.
But the major problem was that the hostess told us if our group bought at least 3 bottles, the tastings would be free. We bought at least 4 bottles, and they still charged us for the tastings.
Very unlikely to ever go back.
Their wine good, but their policy is absolutely rediculous.
I am in the process of getting ready to move completelyout of the area, and they charged me $40 because I couldn’t carry the membership for 1 whole year. I am sorry, but that is absurd!
People have things that come up that are not expected. I was not planning on moving when I signed up. Other vineyards in the area agreed to discontinue my policy due to me moving.
Let me start with their wine still taste as delicious as always… when we finally got our correct flight. However after visiting the winery, this August 2023 I was very disappointed and very concerned about the lack of attention paid to the wine seating area with multiple trees with multiple dead limbs, one tree having a large dead limb that had already broken off and was being held up by the other tree limbs. This is very dangerous to the patrons. Each seating area was not well groomed either. Some seats were right under some of these dead limbs. Other seating areas were uneven and the tables were rocking causing the drinks to top over easily. Moving forward I will be buying my wine at a liquor store and bypassing the winery-too scary for me.
19. Harrelson Music Inc
Address: 1900 Railroad Ave F, Rifle, CO 81650 , Palisade , Colorado , United States
By far the best wine tasting experience that I found in Palisade. At Varaison, they take the time to teach you how to taste wine, and what to look for in different types of wine, instead of just giving you a menu. Make sure to come here if you’re in town, and try to make this your first stop of you’re trying several wineries. The tasting is free, but they could charge more than any of the other places and still be the best value.
We went on a wine tasting tour with our local rec center and visited 5 different wineries. This place was by far the best! We had such a good time and learned so much from the son of the owners, who is also the assistant winemaker. I went on a whim because I didn’t think I liked wine, but after learning the proper way to taste wine and having a fee samples, I found the type of wine that I do like and bought a delicious bottle of it. I highly recommend visiting this beautiful home and enjoying the educational, entertaining sampling experience!
Incredibly knowledgeable family and staff, offering a completely unique experience from any other tasting I’ve ever been to. I will never drink wine the same way again. Thanks so much to Alex and Andy and everyone else that made this experience unforgettable. Also be sure to check out 13 Brix Cider Bistro in Palisade!
Is not open til 9:30 as advertised..Closed at 5p on a Friday
Great experience! Learned a lot about wine tasting in general. Was the first tasting for my wife and I. I’m naturally a red wine drinker but I didn’t particularly like any of the red wines. Completely different than what I’m used to (decoy, ghost pines, 19 crimes, etc) Surprisingly enough the white wines were better to me and white wines aren’t usually anything I like. Overall great experience!
Enjoyable wine experience… different styles and tastes.
Interesting viewpoints on winemaking and wine tasting.
Be warned, you’ll be there for a bit…
Do not visit this winery. The wine tasted absolutely horrible and the food was burnt and not great. The owner is very creepy and will make you feel uncomfortable during your visit. I do not recommend visiting.
Had a great time with friends doing a wine tasting at the vineyard. Unfortunately when we got home and opened the Joyeaux Rosé we bought it had a very strong acetone taste, leaving it undrinkable. The wine tasted completely different from what we tasted at the vineyard. I wish I could say this was the first time that it’s happened but it isn’t, which is the reason for the one star. Our family bought a case of the Cuvée Blanc Chardonnay several months ago and it had this exact same problem. We tasted 3 different bottles before we decided to just return the case. They did accept the wine but put back on the shelves for sale, suggesting that we just didn’t have the taste for their wine. It’s a fun place to go do wine tasting, very educational and engaging, but disappointing that the experience isn’t the same when you buy the bottles and take them home-be careful of what you bring home.
Don’t understand why this place has good reviews. By far the worst wine experience of the weekend and every local we spoke to told us to avoid this place. They lie about where their grapes are from and the wine tasting is way too long and not worth it at all. There are so many places in palisade that are so much better. Avoid this place at all costs. Not to mention the owner is creepy and arrogant. Extremely uncomfortable experience.
