Beautiful store smells so good . But some really cool pieces in her shop great deals I would recommend this little antique store if you’re ever in Monte Vista Co.
Painted a desk for my daughter and it is beautiful.
Great store products and prices

A great place to get DVDs at a Great Price. Several locations, to Choose from. and You can Rent a Movie, in one Location, say Alamosa, Walmart, and return it to another Red Box Location, Anywhere.
Good movies, just don’t forget to bring them back or you might as well have just bought the movie for the late fees, otherwise very good programs
5. Nazarene Thrift Store
Address: 730 1st Ave, Monte Vista, CO 81144 , Monte Vista , Colorado , United States
This thrift store is very well organized and very nicely priced. And the staff is very friendly.
Ok
Not a bad little place… some things are decently priced and some I think are a bit over priced. Nice friendly atmosphere.
Nice place, didn’t find what I was looking for. Great prices:)
Some prices are high for a thrift store.
Prices r outrageous for used items. Can go to Wal-Mart and get item brand new for the same price.
Only if you want to pay retail for a used item $25 for used purse wasn’t even name brand and it was plastic. a person could go to JCPenney with a coupon and get a brand new purse for half the price of their used one.
6. Rainbow’s End Thrift Store
Address: 154 Adams St, Monte Vista, CO 81144 , Monte Vista , Colorado , United States
always some gr8 bargains…I purchased NWT a George Strait button down shirt last week for $6… not junk.. Month ago another button down men’s shirt, UNTUCKit, new with tags, $20… suggested retail on this shirt is $65 …
Very good
This is a great place to visit a couple times a month to see what they have gotten in.
A little over priced
Highest priced thrift store in the area.
very nice store, neat collection and well displayed, clean
Staff working here today we’re rude. Used to love this store won’t go back again.
Mean people…I’ll never go there again. No bargains.
Prices are off, somethings there you could buy brand new for the pice of their used stuff. They try to sell some computer games where the product key is already used rending the item usless.

Cool little spot to get a beer or a coffee. Nicely decorated.
Very nice vintage & new Decor, strong coffee, a full bar & avacodo toast. very chillaxing.
Rain Brews is an exceptional coffee shop that me and all of my friends love. There is an amazing atmoshpere, amazing waitstaff, and exceptional coffee and food. recently I had a barista named Justin who made an extraordinary frap with espresso and lavender syrup (10/10 would recommend if you like floral flavor notes) that is my now favorite/go-to drink. I could not recommend rain brews more, it is truly amazing.
Cool place, good beers, food is lacking though
Just passing through and found this coffee shop. I wanted to give it 5 stars but my iced white mocha had too much milk and syrup. I could hardly taste the coffee. Other than that, the atmosphere and employees were nice.
Cool place to go for a cup of coffee or tea. The atmosphere is great for studying or reading a book Unfortunately the food/drinks aren’t always consistent or good. But this place does happen to be located within walking distance of several great restaurants.
Coffee selection is nice, and the place seems cozy. I dig the furniture and uniqueness, but the kitchen is not open on sundays and they don’t specialize in breakfast/serve it all day like it states on the website. Disappointing.
I was really excited to try this place, but every time I went during business hours, it wasn’t open. Morning or evening. Please update your hours on Google and your own website. Also put a recording on your phone to let people know if you’re not open during your posted hours.
Wait staff was very rude – I have been here once, but I am part of a group that comes here every week. My first time coming was three weeks ago. We got to the restaurant at 8:15 PM, and there was an event finishing up. They informed us that their kitchen was closing 15 minutes early and that it would be best if we placed our orders in ahead of time at 8 PM if we wanted food next time. This was a totally reasonable request. I completely understood this. So two weeks ago, my group decided then to call in our order a little before 8 PM, as was suggested by the staff and so we could make it before the kitchen closed. To which, we were told that they were slow and closing the whole restaurant down. Not wanting to miss out on food, this past week we called at 7:30 PM. I called in the order with my group present. I said, “Hi, I would like to call in my order ahead of time. My group comes every week, and we were told to call in our orders in advance.” The server, who picked up the phone, curtly and rudely replied, “We are too busy to take orders.” …and then slammer the phone down and hung up. No apology. No time for me to even respond. It felt like the equivalent to having the door slammed in my face. My entire group watched this, and I just sat back amazed that someone would actually do that. It was very embarrassing! It’s like this place didn’t want our business, and while I was a newer customer, my group had really talked up the food here, so I was very disappointed. I was really looking forward to trying it. Needless to say, I won’t be coming back here.
8. Lightshine Music
Address: 514 La Veta Ave, Alamosa, CO 81101 , Monte Vista , Colorado , United States
Great service and will fix your instruments very well.
excellent store to shop! Great service from a knowlegable crew. Bob can help you to find the perfect gear or accessories to get you back onto the stage!
Great service with great stock.
Bob was friendly and helpful
Bob & Robert are awesome. Great little music store.
Bob is awesome to work with and very knowledgeable. Has a great selection of used equipment.
Do not bring your instruments here for repair. I brought my violin in to be repaired and it was completely ruined by the worker. All it needed was for a small hairline crack to be filled. Instead, the repairman decided it would be better to sand off the varnish and stain which is impossible to replace and match to the original. Although I liked the store before this experience, I cannot forgive this kind of decision making. This would have been avoided if the repairman had simply told me how he planned on repairing the violin, but he did not.
I have personal issues with the owner/operator
I will never do business with them again. We had taken an alto sax in for pad repairs and it too over 2 months to be repaired and then were charged outrageously for it.
9. Don Tomas Bakery and breakfast
Address: 829 1st Ave, Monte Vista, CO 81144 , Monte Vista , Colorado , United States
Great cozy (all day) breakfast spot in the mountains. Relaxing music playing. Food was excellent, made to order, except for the delicious pastries (we had a Bavarian cream while we waited for our order).
Fantastic food, nice people. Great prices
Food was ok ,its kind of strange eating at a restaurant with paper plates and plastic utensils maybe a result of covid guidelines but other restaurants in the area aren’t doing it.
Great chilaqules and very popular for grab and go fresh homemade pastries.
The food wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good either. I had a burrito and the meat was tough and not flavorful. I wouldn’t stop there again.
We got lunch around 11:30. We waited an hour for 2 orders of huevos rancheros.. when we got our order it was literally just 2 soggy corn tortillas, 2 hard eggs and some beans. No cheese whatsoever or chili. I could have cooked that at home in less than an hour.Never going back.
There donuts are cold, hard, and full of grease. Tastes like they made them days ago and refried them.
