The new owner is so kind! Also the fact that he remembered me from coming in in July and remembered my favorite kind of vape and flavor just showed how much interest he has in his customers. He was also very sweet for letting me ramble on to him and didn’t complain or try to kick me out after I bought my vape and kept talking about nonsense. So thank you for not making me feel like a burden for talking and also appreciated my honesty with why I hadn’t been back in a while which had nothing to do with him but my previous experience with the old owner. I’ll definitely be back!
Best smoke shop in town, in a conveinant location and access to parking. Prices cheaper than any other local smoke shop, top tier cigars don’t hesitate to stop by
Best shop in Connecticut great staff.
They raised their prices recently and now charge $30 for a 30ml of juice as opposed to the shop on the other side of the town center that charges $20 for the exact same product… They were very nice and gave me a discount when I said something, about the price going up but between the lack of inventory for vape juice and the high prices, I can’t really say I recommend the place. Still happy to have options in town, though.
(edit: errant comma)
Extremely overpriced, do yourself a favor and drive 2 mins into danbury find same products for better price
3. The Smoke Lab
Address: 9B Brush Hill Rd, New Fairfield, CT 06812 , New Fairfield , Connecticut , United States
Their location is huge, has a bunch of cigars to choose from, a variety of bongs and even a little area to make a quick drink !
The smoke lab 2 is amazing!!! Me and my girl had went there 3 days ago and the place was nice and clean. The staff was so helpful and nice, with any questions I had. Very good customer service, have a bunch of variety of things, super clean space. I will definitely come back, they for sure have a regular customer with me!!! Go to smoke lab 2 and get your goods people!!!!!!!
Haven’t seen another smoke shop this. Nice store, nice people, nice hours, nice variety of everything.
Ownership has recently changed hands. The new owner is seemingly more interested in price gouging rather than serving customers. I would never recommend this location to anyone.
4. Candlewood Digital
Address: 29 Lake Dr S, New Fairfield, CT 06812 , New Fairfield , Connecticut , United States
So many great treasures to be found at such amazing prices! I got two pairs of earrings for 3$ and an awesome scarf!
Such an adorable little thrift shop, It’s only open certain days of the week and certain hours. You have lots of accessories for kitchen, clothing and nicknacks I got myself a couple of those.
Nice selection of items staff is nice
Beautiful shop, lots of merchandise, nicely laid out. Parking is… Interesting. Worth the trip! Check opening hours, and keep in mind that you’ll prob have to wrap up/check out 5-10 min in advance of posted closing time. Not a bad idea, but may catch the unwary off guard.
Store has sign up that says closed until April 19. But they didn’t update that info with Google maps.
I would have given it a zero if it was possible. Extremely rude, angry at life perhaps trying to take it out on me andy mom I think. He was talking politics with another costumer and perhaps that set him off? Nothing really nice to buy. Go if you wanna have a bad time on your weeking because of the worst costumer service I have ever received. I was embarrassed and sorry that I had my mom and kids with me to expirence that level of unhappiness from a store owner.
7. Guitar Hangar – Lessons, Rentals, Repairs, and More
Address: 270 Federal Rd # 7, Brookfield, CT 06804 , New Fairfield , Connecticut , United States
My son takes guitar lessons here and he loves it! Owner is super friendly!
Have been a customer 12+ years. Great personalized service from true professional musicians not a random someone working in a big box store or online “consultant” reading from a script.
For quality instruments and gear, this is the place. Don’t waste your time or cash elsewhere.
I brought in a brand-new Jazzmaster to have it set up with some strap locks installed and a tiny spot in the finish buffed out. I dropped the guitar off at noon and Rick told me I’d get it back later that day. 2 hours later he calls and I picked it up on my way home. It’s set up excellently and I’m happy as heck to play this thing now. I would highly recommend the Guitar Hangar for general guitar needs, and of course their selection of guitars is fancy!
Make sure that you buy your merchandise from inside the store !! Do not get it from EBAY because you will end up with trash..
Horrible service the owner ignored me when I asked to play
owner is arrogant. store is filthy. selection is limited. looks like the music section of a pawn shop.
8. Dunkin’
Address: 100 CT-37, New Fairfield, CT 06812 , New Fairfield , Connecticut , United States
Very friendly and courteous, service is guick. Convenient location.
Great breakfast food and fast.
Great d&d very clean .An new
Listed hours state open until 10pm , I visited this location at 9:30pm and was turned away. Staff is always young kids who are not capable of completing neccessary tasks in an organized and professional manner.
This DD never gets my order right!!
I asked for 2 Sausage and cheese croissants no egg! I get 2 croissants with cheese only
They get my order wrong every time I come here. Otherwise it would be great
9. Beats 365
Address: 55 Mill Plain Rd, Danbury, CT 06811 , New Fairfield , Connecticut , United States
Fantastic experience! Went in to trade in some items and purchase a new keyboard. Jared was attentive and extremely helpful!
Nice store. Micheal was great to talk to and very helpful
For such a small location compared to others I’ve been to, this location had a great selection. Didn’t really interact with any staff.
I’d like to start my review off with that I am generally not a big fan of large corporate music stores. That being said, this Guitar Center does a good job. The reason being the employee’s helpfulness and niceties. Selection is ok, but could be more varied such as a larger amount of Ibanez, 7 strings, Music Man, ect and less Fenders n Gibsons.
Great staff, helpful. Would get 5 stars if the location had a bit more space/product in house. Decent parking, easy on and off from highway, close proximity to Mall.
If I could give negative stars I would. I waited 10 days for this item I bought used from the guitar center website and actually called the store in Danbury, CT where a condescending man-child with an English accent assured me the item was in mint condition. They shipped it across the country in the original packaging with no bubble wrap, protective box, or anything that would protect it. The unit was rattling around in the box when I picked it up. Upon opening it I found that every side was broken and it was covered in some sort of sticky substance. I don’t appreciate being lied to, having my time wasted, or this incompetent attempt at shipping an expensive item I spent my hard earned money on. I’ve spent thousands upon thousands of dollars at guitar center. Unbelievably incompetent…
Pretty rude place. My wife and I went to buy a music stand for our grandson and a guitar for our granddaughter. Salesman picked out some stands for us and when we were leaning to the cheaper of them he didn’t want anything else to do with us and walked away! Needless to say I wasn’t going to pursue the guitar with them. Heading to Sam Ash in White Plains tomorrow. I don’t normally write reviews like this but both my wife and I were offended. BTW, we are both musicians (I play guitar and my wife piano) and we could’ve been ongoing customers.
Nice place with a lot of inventory! The only downside is that they are not very helpful at answering questions or walking to show customers where a certain product is located! Instead, just point!! Not very professional.
11. Bethel Music Center – Instrument Sales, Rentals, Lessons and Repairs
Address: 273 Greenwood Ave #101, Bethel, CT 06801 , New Fairfield , Connecticut , United States
My son has been taking lessons here for a little over a year and we absolutely love it. Very accommodating if you have scheduling issues or need help renting/buying the instrument. I did wish they had more instructors but that seems to be an availability of teachers issue not a store issue. Highly recommend.
Thanks to Sarah, I was able to get a mouthpiece while being 2.5 hours away from home on a gig where I left my mouthpiece pouch. Came through in the clutch for me with a shew lead piece.
Great service!
Allowed me to trade in a Sax for Trumpet and gave me a very fair price on the Sax. Thank you Bethel Music
Good info from employees
Just stopped by quick. Had a great hour. They are the best
Ordered Nutella chips in a waffle bowl which was very good.
Great ice cream. Everything tastes so fresh!
Love this place, it is close to my house and they have very good ice cream and toppings. They have great options for milk shakes and other healthy options as well.
Great ice cream at a good price! Parking is less than optimal and they share an entrance with icons.
Ice cream is on the expensive side. Not very large portions.
Juju
This place is absolutely terrible. Me and my sister asked for a double ice cream and a large soft serve and the portion was hilarious. Do not go here!!!
Girls were friendly (hence two rather than one star), no bathroom, even though others used it and after spending $75. Ice cream is terribly bland and what kind of ice cream shop doesn’t have hot fudge?
Worst run ice cream shop I’ve ever been in. Seventeen people were waited on left while our waitress made one smoothie. The concept of one waitress per party is ludicrous when one person is dedicated to operating the cash register..
14. Music & Arts
Address: 1863 Post Rd, Fairfield, CT 06824 , New Fairfield , Connecticut , United States
Every time my daughter needs her violin tuned this is the place to go. Chris was very nice and we were in and out of there in no time. Great service!!
It is good music store with little cheap prices. I bought Yamaha piano two weeks ago and it is wonderful.
Buena atencion
Sales staff were not super knowledgable. We rented our son’s violin for school through them and billing was always an issue even though it was on monthly automatic payment. Glad the saga is over.
Thank you for your service n attention. Thank guys for helping me to pick the perfect gift for my wife.
The prices are ok. The parking can be tough. The person working the desk was dismissive of my questions. Not a lot of inventory on display. They seem more about instruction.
WARNING! WARNING TO PARENTS!! DO NOT USE THIS SHOP FOR RENTALS! Should be ZERO stars.
We rented from here for 5 years, the first 4 went off without a hitch. This year has been an absolute nightmare. We rented two instruments, same address, same name, same payment. ONE account had no issues, the other the local store put in the wrong address (where we have never lived). Over the last 4 months I have called their headquarters, left messages, emails, etc. trying to get a paper bill MAILED so that I could pay whatever was owed. They were incapable of sending this, and every time I called in could not even find the right account or would tell me everything was fine and they did not know why I was being contacted. When asked why they could not have looked at our other rental account for the correct information they were stunned into silence. Absolute incompetency from the sales staff all the way up to the billing department supervisor who assigned our missing “account” to a collections agency and then gave us the WRONG agency. Save yourself the trouble and stay far, far away from here.
Very bad and rude customer service, hang up my phone.
Don’t rent any instrument from this place. People are very rude. Calling customer service takes forever to get someone on the phone. Unfriendly customer service, supervisors don’t want to talk to customers. Find another place to rent instruments for your children.
15. Woodbury Music Shop
Address: 766 Main St S, Woodbury, CT 06798 , New Fairfield , Connecticut , United States
A hidden gem UPSTAIRS. Don’t miss it. Dave the owner is great, and talented. Patrick Gill is the PREMIER guitar TECH in the whole northwest CT region. He works miracles at a very fair price. Excellent teachers, Will for piano and keyboards and Mike for guitar and bass. Better check them out. I only trust my guitars to Dave and Patrick. Won’t go anywhere else. Seriously.
Woodbury Music is the best shop around of all of your instrument needs! The shop owner Dave, is both friendly & knowledgeable! I have gotten both common things done (fixing of saxophone keys) as well as unusual things done (fixing of a dulcimer bridge) and everyone has always been great! I have also taken lessons for almost three years now, and my teacher Mike is not only a dedicated teacher, but also a very talented professional. Stop by and check it out!
Great honest shop here. Had a great online interaction with Dave via email. Want to know why I trust them? Because they talked me out of a purchase. Ha! Thanks again!
16. Wade’s Piano Center LLC
Address: 14 Depot Pl, Bethel, CT 06801 , New Fairfield , Connecticut , United States
Highly recommend this guy real customer loyalty as well.
I’ve always wanted to play guitar since I was a kid but never got to it. As a complete novice, I started taking lessons with Damon and it has been a great experience. He understands the level of experience of each of his students and adjusts his teaching style accordingly. I wish I had started sooner!
Damon has tuned our pianos for years.
Always spot on, always a great experience.
17. TakeLessons Music and Voice Lessons
Address: 6 Waterview Dr, Danbury, CT 06811 , New Fairfield , Connecticut , United States
I bought a Maton Mini from Blue Bus – great service, price and product. Will definitely go back to them again!
A great local music store with a variety of Maton guitars, occasional performance showcases, and fab music teachers available for lessons.
I can’t say enough about this place, it really is much, much more than your average music shop.
Owners Sanna and Patrick are kind, thoughtful and very customer focused. I purchased a beautiful Maton guitar and an AER amplifier there and also had Patrick do some work on my old Guild acoustic, and my experiences were extremely positive. Patrick took time with me and really understood what my goals were musically, and all his advice and recommendations were very useful. Sanna was also great, and always got back to me very promptly with any questions or concerns I had along the way.
Blue Bus also has a dedicated team of teachers that I also highly recommend, available to teach people of all skill levels.
They also have an “open mic” evening which has been put on hold because of the pandemic, but I know they want to resume it when things get better (which can’t happen fast enough).
It has been a real pleasure to support this local business, the individualized customer focus from them makes it so worthwhile.
Highly recommend!!
Nice looking small shop with an interesting selection of off brand guitars. I always like when the smaller shops aren’t afraid to stock higher end gear. The selection of acoustic guitars especially. The pedal section could use some fleshing out.
Bought a Maton guitar ….. company doesn’t have a clue on how to set a guitar up….. I have purchased no less then 50 guitars been playing for 50 years…. this company shouldn’t be allowed to sell guitars much less Maton .
Needed one string for my son violin rental. The lady was trying to sell me on a pack of strings that I do not need.
19. Phil’s Guitar Shop
Address: 255 Main St S, Woodbury, CT 06798 , New Fairfield , Connecticut , United States
This place is great. Their instructors are knowledgeable, funny. It’s a warm, active place. My boyfriend has had guitar lessons with Phil (owner), and been taking singing lessons from Pat for years. His kids have been taking guitar and drum lessons from Phil and Gary for at least 10 years. I take singing lessons from Pat periodically.
The review by “A google user” that starts out “I called the store” and ends with “Go see East Coast Music’ was likely written by an East Coast employee – note it was written FIVE years ago. And by the way, they went out of business…..while Route 7 has thrived.
Very happy with the customer service and staff at Route 7 Music. They are a great bunch of guys, and our daughter has learned so much from Gary on drums. She loves the lessons, looks forward to them and actually likes practicing. Thanks for making learning an instrument a positive, fun experience!
Great experience- Guitar lessons have been informative and I am progressing faster than I thought possible . Top notch teachers!
Do not follow hours on door or website, very dissapointing 🙁
