I loved it. If I’d been living there I would have purchased some things. Their Wednesday evening gala was the best.
Relaxing atmosphere, good music and great neighborhood people
Excellent place to buy/sell goods. Sue & Jerry are absolute sweethearts. Check out the live music and vendors Wednesday nights 6-9
Very nice place! Lots of different items for purchase. Went for the Wed. evening farmers market. Good Music also!
Interesting variety of antiques and up-cycled furniture. Good prices on boots. There appears to be some special events that may occur, which might increase my perception of the location as a whole. The store itself was just ok; the woman working the store was friendly and welcoming.
They are closed on Mondays and Thursdays. Looks like a cool place to visit.
They are very expensive it’s outrageous highway ropery

I live in oracle and drop by to see what jimi has in stock. It is a small store with quite a bit inventory. I have found things i have needed its well run!
Best thrift store around! Tons of items, everything is good quality and great prices! Can’t forget to mention the awesome owners! Definitely worth the stop and will be back!
Great thrift store! We have bought many quality pieces of furniture here at great prices. Owners are very helpful and friendly! Go check this place out!
Great thrift store but call to see if they’re open before you go. It says online that they are open on Mondays, but if you show up on Monday, no one is there. Please update your hours!

Great place for breakfast! I love their waffles with fruit compote…. Best Ever!
The atmosphere is is incredible
Parking: Small parking area. People often park randomly.
It’s a nice place for a brunch with family and friends.
Breakfast good best bacon I have had in years.. and their regular coffee is good not bitter or too strong.Very comfortable and calming atmosphere. Think I’ll be enjoying more time here.
Great cafe! Their fancy chai tea was delicious—I could see the cardamom pods in the basket. They had 2 vegan food items, which was a bagel with avocado, and berry compote, and non-dairy milks. They had a couple of gluten-free pastries and gluten-free dishes. I really liked the artsy vibe, warm ambiance l, and friendly staff. They’re also dog friendly!
4. Redbox
Address: 2406 W American Ave, Oracle, AZ 85623 , Oracle , Arizona , United States
Great place to pick up a few things to make your night more fun. Inventory is always changing. Stop in, you’ll never know what you might find.
Very respectful , great customer service, and a growing stock of useful items.
Great customer service and amazing products. I love everything about the shop!
Nice place good selection of different items
Dedicated to their craft! Very nice tobacco store with accessories. Staff was friendly and engaging. A good place to shop.
Hey Cheetos great looking shop wish I could come visit you my Brother!
The guy was ok but the female was rude
Online and on the store door it says that open at 10am. It’s 10:47am nobody here so we ring the bell. They tell us they are out shopping…… Okay cool. Your over priced stuff is not worth this kinda trouble, I’ll spend the gas money going into town thanks.
6. Imagination Plaza
Address: 1995 W American Ave Upstairs Unit 1, Oracle, AZ 85623 , Oracle , Arizona , United States
So much fun going into this store. I had planned on just looking around, but left with a pretty bracelet (that the owner sized for me right there) and two amazing jackets. Stop by to just look around, but I guarantee you’ll walk out with something!
I’ve ordered items from Imagination Plaza multiple times. The service is great, and the shipping is fast. I love everything that I’ve purchased. Highly recommend!
I had my first Reiki session with Jodi today, and it was phenomenal. I have never felt more relaxed, open, calm, and grounded, and Jodi was amazing with walking me through the process. I can’t wait to come back!

8. The Folk Shop
Address: 2525 N Campbell Ave, Tucson, AZ 85719 , Oracle , Arizona , United States
I went there by suggestion from groves guitars(I think) and I traded in a old gold tone 4 string for $150 towards a better 6 string and service was awesome I even got to browse the store and play guitars and other wacky things
When I broke a string they charged me 75 cents to buy and have it replaced!
Great shop, they will help you find what you need.
This store is a must see! For new musicians or old, there’s just about anything in any price range. These guys were super helpful in shipping me the unique drum I bought, for I was just passing through the area. I wish I had a store like this close to me!
Putting an inanimate object ( guitar) in a five day quarantine seemed silly….especially after the tech spent 20 minutes in extremely close contact doing the inspection. The work was fine, the price was fair. The extreme lock down just turned me off….
Cool little shop, not that wheelchair friendly but I was still able to get around. The staff I interacted with was very knowledgeable and helpful just looking for a harp for my daughter and he helped get it set up and answered all my questions and my daughters.
Extremely friendly. Good selection of many types of folk acoustic instruments and they let you play most of them. Somewhat limited array of different brands, thus 4 stars. I’m looking forward to doing more business with them.
Very rude disrespectful because I was asking for a part and I didn’t have a mask and I wasn’t trying to go in the place without permission and they were just very rude very very rude and I didn’t understand I was thrown off by it. Yelling at me for no reason all I wanted was a part I didn’t even try to go into shop told her I’d wait outside because I didn’t have a mask she slams door in my face. So I go get a mask and they won’t even deal with me I was the up most respectful and didn’t deserve that. Very very rude!!! I’ll never do business with them again.
Well, over the years I’ve bought, sold, and traded with Paul and really wouldn’t do so again. The last guitar I purchased there had broken tuner barrels and more important, his pricing and moods vary wildly. Certainly lots to look at, but no great shakes in terms of quality or pricing.
I am absolutely incredulous as to how condescendingly I was treated over the phone by this place. I arrived with my Taylor 312-CE looking to trade up and quite likely spend substantial chunk of money. I noticed the posting on the door that read (I may be paraphrasing) “masks required even for those vaccinated.” I have been twice jabbed with Pfizer, but no problem. I get it. I understand it. People may not be fully honest about their status and might contaminate others. I have zero issue complying with the policy The posting also read “do not knock; call to be granted entry” (again, I may be paraphrasing, but this was the gist). I keep a KN-95 with me in the car but couldn’t find it. Maybe it fell behind the seat or something. I ring their number. A woman answers. Convo goes like this: “Hi, I noticed you require masks even for the vaxxed, which I am fully, but I can’t seem to find mine here in my car….I’m here outside….do you happen to have any masks there inside the store that you could pass out to me”? (like logical, sensible merchants across town, the state, the country have in abundance in case you forgot or can’t find yours—sterile ones for the taking in boxes) “If not, I don’t live too far. I can run home, grab one and come back”. The woman on the phone raises her voice and says “NO YOU NEED TO WEAR A MASK” and abruptly hangs up!! Um, I think I got that part and more than amply communicated it back. Wow. And delivered with a tone of voice akin to Mrs. Gulch from Wizard of Oz. I was perfectly polite, acknowledged the policy and was willing to go out of my way to comply. This is not only ridiculously bad policy, but there was not even basic intelligible, lucid communication on her part. Not the conduct of a sound minded individual.
Now, for some background. I have never made any major purchases at Folk Shop. However, I have patronized them over years–even before I moved to Tucson. The first time, I was recording an album visiting from Austin in 2014 and needed a dobro capo. The engineer called around to Guitar Center and few other places. They didn’t even know what a dobro was, much less a dobro capo. Folk Shop to the rescue with a Paul Beard capo, just like the one I had forgotten and left back in TX! I’ve been there since for strings, straps, stainless steel slides etc. Never ever the slightest of problems. What happened today is totally inexcusable. I myself have been fastidious and a stickler about masking and distancing throughout the pandemic, but this kind of post-mandate fanaticism, illogic and outright meanness is beyond the pale. They certainly don’t want my money or any of my future business. To hell with this place. l’ll buy a guitar from Musician’s Friend before stepping foot in there, even though I prefer to shop locally.
9. Music & Arts
Address: 8320 N Thornydale Rd Suite 150/170, Tucson, AZ 85741 , Oracle , Arizona , United States
My sisters and I have been coming here for years! We all have rented instruments and bought them. They are good about repairs and always tell us what is best to take care of the instruments and good quality. They price match reeds and misc. items . Always clean in the store too! Good selection in store always have what I need, if not I can order online and pick up in store . Heaven is great with helping us get the best payment plan and knowledgeable about music !
As a musical “novice” I have always been uncomfortable entering a music store. Both Heaven and the owner (didn’t catch his name) helped me feel totally at ease with my newby questions. I found a guitar package online that I liked, but wanted to shop locally so I asked if they had a similar deal. They had something right on the sales floor that turned out to be a better deal than I found online! Totally no pressure salesmanship here. It felt very much like the sales staff isn’t there to try to line their pockets, but they work there because they love music. One of my new favorite stores in Tucson.
this place is great
Just want to say that I am a fan of this store. I think they do a great job at helping people find what they are looking for and have them leaving satisfied with their musical purchases. With that being said, I want to make a point that only having one store closer is unsafe. Multiple times in the past year I have heard of there being theft. I’m concerned for the employees’ safety and customer safety.
Protect your employees! They make the company money!
Abit more expensive than the guitar center.
Friendly and helpful staff! Clean and distance with masks observed! Awesome place to learn music as well as purchase quality music products.
I was very unhappy with the way this store sold us an instrument after we rented one for over two years. We qualified for the rental credit and it was given to us. The problem was that they valued the used rental instrument at $800+ and they sell the same one brand new for about $470. The reason they do that is that there is a clause that states that when using the rental credit one must buy an instrument that cost the same or more than the rental so they jack up the value of the rental. We were told that we couldn’t buy the flute we had been renting and could not get a new flute because it wasn’t equal or more value to the one we had been renting per terms of our agreement. They said that our only option was to purchase a used refurbished flute from the warehouse and it would be sent to us. We feel that this is a very shady way to do business. Not recommended. Updated; Thank you for your reply too, owner of the store. I have already sent an email but thanks for suggesting it.
One of the worst experiences I have ever had dealing with incompetent employees all the way up to management (heaven) to even cooperate , I’m so thankful I no longer have to deal with any of these people again especially the guitar instructor, I did not appreciate every little comment he made about any of the equipment we brought in to shame my child because the items he brought in were passed down from his grandfather , I also find it way more convenient to order my items on Amazon for a much lower rate and to not have to deal with individuals that are looking to charge me an over priced rate , I gave a small shop a chance to help out locally and all they did was run the “he said she said “ experience, I will not and do not recommend this place to anyone , one of the worst experiences I have ever had at any facility . Good riddance !!!!
I used to be loyal customer for years. Howerver, M&A’s new strategy of “Paperless receipts”, requires that I provide my email address for a purchase. Their “paperless reciept” excuse is nothing more than a strategic excuse to obtain email addresses so they can spam. When I stated I do not provide my email, they refused to sell me a service. I have since found a local music store that is more friendly and will no longer use M&A.
10. Metro Gnome Music
Address: 4044 E Speedway Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85712 , Oracle , Arizona , United States
Staff was welcoming, helpful and products were fantastic. Gem of a variety store
Courteous, knowledgeable. Respects Female musicians. Rare items, good prices.
Took my daughter there for her violin. Best customer service ever
Great used musical equipment and friendly service.
It’s a good place
good store..a tad overpriced on certain items… the staff is decent, there is one guy who always seems like he’s in bad mood he’s usually right at the front, his service could use some improvement, other than that neutral experience I guess, definitely not much of a welcoming vibe.
I’ve read the experiences of other customers at this store and can’t believe that I am having such a negative experience with these guys! Granted the mistake was made on my part, but after realizing what had happened and returning the instrument in good condition and trying to fix the mistake, my wages were garnished for twice the amount of what the instrument was worth that I had rented! $1315.76 and now two and a half years later after I had paid in full they are trying to garnish my wages again for another $100. All of this was done without communication, I made a mistake after moving to a new house and packing the instrument away and forgot about it. I returned the item when I came across it unpacking immediately without notice. I wasn’t expecting not having to pay something, but to come back after having paid in full and after such a long time makes me wonder if the customers are really the focus of this store!
I really wish I could give it to zero Stars they sold me used parts they didn’t do what they said they were going to do and they charged me for stuff that they didn’t even replace and tried to sell it as new they just left the old stuff on my bike and told me that they replaced it then they took old parts are used parts off of some other bike and charge me full price
Over priced. Disappointing
11. Chicago Music Store
Address: 45 S 6th Ave, Tucson, AZ 85701 , Oracle , Arizona , United States
Absolutely wonderful service. Super friendly & accommodating. Provided my 5th grade son his Rental Precussion kit the same day (when all other franchise music stores have been sold out for weeks). Its downtown tho,, need to find parallel parking on streetwise. Speak to Mark! He is awesome.
Great
Love this local store, have bought Yamaha Electric piano, sister a guitar, brother in law whose a true musician and picky bought new Banjo. Great people, local, great price & service. A++++
I’ve been a customer of the chacago store for 40 years & I can. Say ” YOU CAN’T BEAT UM”
Spent alot of time in the historic downtown building like a kid in a candy store before he opened the speedway store. Hell my first visit was in 1996 on my way to California. Always stop in on my travels from state to state.
The place is nice. People there will like to show you products that you want to see. I recently bought a guitar there. Downside is I felt the brand I was looking for was not available but eventually I bought something entirely different. Whether you buy or not, definitely check out the store. 4 stars out of 5.
They told me they only charge for the E string on a single re-string on my bass guitar during a phone call I had with them because i only needed one string to get fixed. Only to get charged about 20$ when I picked up my instrument, 17$ for the re-string labor & 3$ for the string?? i love this store but that did not sat right with me
Its closed! They went out of business.
HATED IT! Couldn’t for the life of me understand why they would move to a smaller building, until I realized it was because they were probably losing business! All thanks to an inconsiderate manager. After being rushed and insulted by management I can honestly say that I refuse to give them any opportunity of doing business with me whatsoever in the foreseeable future!
12. Rainbow Guitars
Address: 2550 N Campbell Ave, Tucson, AZ 85719 , Oracle , Arizona , United States
Very cool store, all the employees and the owner Harvey are just excellent. Gave me a great deal on a guitar and let me decide after 2 weeks wether I wanted to return it or not. Plus the fact they shipped the guitar to Illinois. Would recommend this store to everyone.
Richard Pasternak
Great people
Candy store for bass and guitar players.
Good place for guitars!
Great selection of new and used.
Love all the gear in this store and most of the staff… EXCEPT PETE FINN or whatever his name is. He a a smug old jerk who makes you feel unwanted in this store. Being in sales, I was appalled that this guy has a job there. I literally dread going there because of him.
REVISE::::
I HAVE SINCE HAD GREAT SERVICE FROM PETE. IT SEEMS HE HAS PUT ON HIS SALESMAN HAT, AND HAS BEEN QUITE FRIENDLY. I DON’T GO IN LIKE I USED TO, BUT I MIGHT START AGAIN IF THEY KEEP IT UP.!!!
Went to this store to purchase a guitar for my daughter’s birthday, excited to see their collection. The doors were locked. As we were walking away a man came to the door and very Rudely pre-screened us, not allowing us in the store but not providing a reason either. It was 2:30pm well within business hours. I will be going anywhere else for my string instrument needs.
On my visit I was not allowed to go into the Recording/Keyboard room. Sign on the door said I could not go in without an employee present. That made me feel a little odd. Then I was told no one was available to accompany me into the room. So, I was like….so I can’t go in there? The guy just disappeared without saying anything. I had my son with me so we walked around and finally a dude came out and said he would go in the room with us. He unlocked the door, followed us around and basically was glued to my side the whole time. He wasn’t rude, he was just “in the way” in a uncomfortable sense. He said we could not audition the KRK 12 Sub, something about someone was out for lunch and we had to wait till he came back…sounded made up to me. Second visit. The room was open. Again I was interested in listening to the sub but was told they didn’t have any input source to play through it. I was like…OK. I sheepishly offered to use my cell phone as an input device while he mumbled something about using a keyboard but then he never did it. Then he started saying I better have a really big room for “that”. Like he didn’t think I should buy it LOL The store seems cool but I don’t think they want to be bothered too much. I probably won’t go back for any big purchases, just for little stuff, in and out. They have a nice selection. They have really good reviews too, I don’t get it….
Emailed through the website asking for suggestions on replacing Fender pickups. No response, so phoned. Was led to believe that expecting the guys in the back to answer an email was a pretty radical concept. Was also led to believe that replacing pickups was an insane idea and that if I didn’t like my guitar I should trade it in, not that they would want to assist with that either. Proof positive yet again that guitar stores only seem to attract males who really want to be left alone. Suits me, shan’t be bothering them again.
13. Guitar Center
Address: 4720 E Broadway Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85711 , Oracle , Arizona , United States
Starting to look run down. Acoustic guitar room floors are dirty and it just looks like nobody cleans the place. Other than that they have a good selection and the staff is nice.
Standard GC. Uninterested employees, annoying customers and employees playing at ridiculous volumes.
As with ANY GC, if you can afford to wait a few days, buy online.
big selection – try getting someone to help you . . . a lot of new and used gear. for some reason, everytime I visit this store, no one is interested in selling me anything. or even answering questions. “how much is the korg minilogue?” “huh, where’s that?” I showed him where it was and after looking it over, he said “I have no idea.” and that was it. he turned to the other guy, and stated ” I need a beer.” so instead of dropping a few hundred dollars on a synth, I said ‘thanks’ and left.
every time . . .
Inattentive staff, lack of essential products, pro keyboard/synth section devoid of hardly anything useful.
My wife went there to get her 12 string guitar restrung. She waited over 20 minutes at the counter for help. The guy that was there was helping another customer but it was also evident that they knew each other and were just chatting away. After seeing that she had not been acknowledged for so long, she left. Im sure there are other guitar stores in town who would like our business.
14. Chicago Music Store
Address: 5646 E Speedway Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85712 , Oracle , Arizona , United States
Way better than the national stores. I’d rather shop at locally owned stores.
Great Store!
Mark the owner is great I had a problem and he personally called me and made it right. Great business man. I would highly reccomend this store.
Pretty good selection of instruments other than no ovation guitars. Didn’t have the product I was looking for and the desk manager is very pushy about selling. Other than those, decent store.
Great service, Mark and his team were really helpful!
Helpful and friendly. Very knowledgeable about the product and give you space to look around.
Wouldn’t recommend, music is suppose to be fun and the tall white guy doesn’t leave you alone. Let people play in peace. I’ll be going to guitar center where they let you express yourself.
This a terrible place to rent from. The guy in charge is sleazy and pushy.
Was doing rent to buy they gave me a broken instrument that didn’t work then I took it back the next day they accused me of breaking it then made me pay a hundred and fifty dollars to fix it even though I didn’t break it

Good food and service! Thanks.
16. Oracle
Address: 980 E Mt Lemmon Hwy, Oracle, AZ 85623 , Oracle , Arizona , United States
I’ve never been here, but the guy who gave a terrible review says the owner has been rude to him for 15 years. So despite the ‘rude owner’, this guy has been returning to this store for fifteen years. That should tell you everything you need to know. I’ll definitely go someday.
Nice store with awesome customer service !
They fixed my daughters clarinet for a very reasonable price and were extremely friendly.
hmm…
It’s small music store with not much in there and some of the staff treats you like you dont know anything.
Pretty good place. Small, but has the essentials.
Came in for guitar picks and strings and was thinking of buying an acoustic guitar on the wall. I asked if I could play it he said “yes”. I played a couple chords and got kicked out for playing it to “hard”.
Went to buy a guitar but no assistance from the clerk was offered and large sign indicated you can’t touch them without assistance so we left. Makes it difficult to make a purchase. To be fair the clerk was waiting on another customer but just continued to ignore us and didn’t even bother to say “hello” when we entered the store. Not much available there in the way of instruments unless you need used amps, guitar stands, cheap guitars, or ukuleles.
I’ve been there quite a few times before. As a child the owner was alright but somehow he just became rude after a while. There was a time when I was 19(9 years ago) and there was an 800 dollar Jackson on the wall that I really wanted. I brought $850 dollars with me and jammed out on it for about 5 minutes, the owner came up to me and said “If you put one scratch on this I’m going to make you pay for it, do you understand?” I know I look young and I looked about 15 at the time but there have been several times(like yesterday{let me play for 4 minutes and told my party to leave when I wanted to buy a practice amp}) that I brought money in to make a purchase of over 300 dollars and he makes me uncomfortable or says something rude. If you need a reed, or if you need a rental, this is a good place. If you’re a musician, and you want to try stuff out, drive 40 minutes, the owner has been rude to me for 15 years. I swear he hates musicians.
18. Zia Records (Speedway – Tucson)
Address: 3370 E Speedway Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85716 , Oracle , Arizona , United States
Best record store in town. Huge selection and knowledgable staff. If they dont have what you’re looking for, they are happy to order it.
It’s great for getting your hands on some CDs and vinyl. Used DVDs are also a huge part of the front of the store. The deals are great here for pre-owned media and memorabilia. Sorta like stuff you may find in a Spencer’s in a mall but more grunge and way better prices. The employees are really cool and have always been nice to me.
Great place for music, DVD’s and more. Been going for years, always find something new!
Good friendly
Great store… i always find great records here! Friendly staff that are very knowledgable…
The young man, was awesome helpful, and provided outstanding service.
I think the staff is just a little too high to provide customer service and do their job correctly. A trained monkey could take my money and put it in the register customer service seems to be a thing of the past
I got belittled for wanting to return an unopened record I promised myself I would never buy anything else from these jerks, terrable customer service
I went into the store to buy a movie (would’ve preferred to get it at the Bookman’s next door) and my wife called while I was checking out. I was looking at the guitar picks and the rude cashiers both practically yelled at me to get off my phone, even though it could’ve been an important call. This makes me sad as I used to love this location and this one experience soured my opinion of it.
19. Triangle L Ranch
Address: 2805 N Triangle L Ranch Rd, Oracle, AZ 85623 , Oracle , Arizona , United States
The breakfasts were out of this world! This place was exactly the sort of desert retreat my wife and I were looking for. The art, trails, and animal life are enough to make me want to come back. Add in the hospitality of the hosts and I can’t understand why anyone would pass this place up.
This place is great
We recently got to perform as the Hold my Beer Band at their annual “GLOW” art installation event. A wonderful property.
What an exotic way to spend a day with some of Tucson’s most talented, and creative artists! The sculpture walk is fascinating and you really MUST use the potty! It is amazing!
Great place! Great people! In a Great town!
Very creative art in a wonderful outdoor setting.
They are supposed to be open at 10am on Saturdays. We got there after 10am but there wasn’t a soul in sight, the gift shop was closed, the gallery was closed. We walked around the sculpture garden for 15-20 minutes then came back and still never saw a person. It was weird.
Was offered a free ticket to GLOW due to weather circumstances. Only to find out that the free ticket is to a scaled down event, on a day that I work 10 hours. Definitely calling my credit card company for a refund. I’m done with GLOW. Thanks but no thanks.
20. Richards Music Co
Address: 617 S 5th Ave, Safford, AZ 85546 , Oracle , Arizona , United States
This is my favorite music store. If they don’t have what I want, they order it.
Experience means everything!
I needed some work done on my guitar and Dave was all over it and had it back to me the next day! I appreciate their service & dedication. I highly recommend them!!
Have some passionate experts that have been working many many years. They have a small inventory, but they will take care of you. Unless you’re looking for something super specific, you’ll be well taken care of.
Really like that music store. Very knowledgeable people. Thank you for being here.
