Come for the reasonably priced records, but stay for an awesome conversation with Winston.
We came across this lovely shop while walking back from dinner. The owner has a unique collection of vintage vinyl, newer vinyl, and other music-related items. The owner is friendly and helpful. We bought 3 vinyl records, using Venmo, that we are glad to have found while on vacation.
This place rocks! Awesome selection of vintage vinyl and tees. Plus all the money goes to an awesome cause… teaching music to special needs kids! That’s awesome! One love ❤️
Store is messy and the photo shown on Google map is pretty much a lie. don’t have a lot of selection of shirts as in the photo.
Maybe if they at least showed they’re closed when they’re showin they’re open I would say something positive. Wack as hell
Never again. Limited selection, difficult to browse and very overpriced. $20 for a Al Stewart album, ridiculous.
I purchased a Carly Simon album from here, when I got home and played it it was not even Carly Simon singing!!! It was some man singing the songs from her album. I even checked the album sleeve and the record itself and it says Carly Simon on it. Very disappointed and customer service was not great.

Great selection. A store, with something for everyone. The clerk was chill and funny, and I got 7 records for $7!
Vibes
Excellent niche local store selling vintage and collectibles with a focus on music and entertainment. The store also buys vinyl records, CDs and DVDs.
Have a wide range of collectibles. A little on the pricey side. Worth a visit.
Only place left in or round Palm Springs for cds & albums. Keep in mind not a place to buy new music. This is also a Hollywood Memorabilia shop.
Really disappointed to see this shop filled with “posters” of images printed out on a home printer that the folks running the shop have absolutely zero rights to reproduce.
No wonder why they don’t want you taking pictures inside. The entire place is a copyright violation.
LAME!
The guy who works here I am not sure if he was the store owner or not is super aloof and rude. I picked up a record to look at it and he told me we weren’t allowed to touch anything. Super weird.
Don’t go here on Record Store day…. you will pay top dollar internet prices. This goes against record store days own guidelines for fair pricing.
Best record store in Palm Springs and the whole Coachella valley. Owner is friendly and extremely knowledgeable, with a very fair priced wide ranging selection of all different genres of stuff. Always find something special here, check it out if you’re nearby.
Super nice staff and great selection. Very eclectic and well priced.
This shop may be on the smaller side, but it’s a real gem. A great mix of new and used, priced well and with a friendly/knowledgeable owner to boot. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.
Very small store with limited inventory and selection. It’s got potential.

What a treat visiting with Colton at the Music Box & Clock Shoppe earlier this week! Colton’s is a jewel himself, so personable and professional. He can answer a wide variety of questions regarding clocks, beautiful art pieces and jewelry. I do love my Swarovski, and he always picks out just the right rings, bracelets or necklaces to fit my persona of the day! Thank you for the fun and unique shopping experience in Palm Springs Colton. I will be back soon for more exceptional customer service and great gifts. P.S. He makes the complimentary wrapping so beautiful it’s a gift all in itself.
All sorts of beautiful items in this shoppe. Jewelry, music boxes, lifelong candles. Beautiful gifts.
Beautiful items for sale at very reasonable prices. Friendly staff and a terrific job gift wrapping my purchase.
Difficult to get parking here, the shop appears to have fewer clocks than it used to. I received a $200 gift certificate that says it ‘never expires’ so I wasn’t in a hurry to use it. I waited until I felt I had enough money to buy one of the clocks – around $450-500 – but evidently the shop changed owners and the new owner would not honor the gift certificate. He did offer a discount on a clock but it was disappointing to learn that ‘never expires’ didn’t really apply.

It is such a Joy and a privilege to work and record at Melrose Studios Downtown Palm Springs, and to work with my favorite Hollywood Music Producer David Williams. David is a creative genius and is producing my soon to be released album. Melrose Studios are first class and second to none. David Williams talent as Sound production and engineering is unsurpassed . He is so creative and easy and pleasant to work with and gives his all to help create the best production possible .Melrose Studios , David Williams are the best my first choice for all my future projects. I have been recording my vocals, My band and many voiceovers projects for many years . To be able to walk to the studio from my hotel is so convenient . It’s also a wonderful getaway working trip and the joy that I don’t have to travel from Palm Springs when I get there is a wonderful bonus.
I wish I could give Melrose Studios Palm Springs 20 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
music from all genres
Dave is all about business. I enjoyed meeting him, and working gonna be working on projects with him soon!
Customer service is horrible. They won’t answer the phone and none of the products actually come from LA outback, they are drop shipped from a different company. I had to get ahold of world percussion USA to get a tracking number. Also I just found the same exact didgeridoo on amazon for $35 compared to their price of $57. The products themselves are really good quality though. But I’m not giving LA outback credit for the quality because they don’t make them.
Bob is a phenomenal music teacher. Great about being in touch, patient and answers my millions of questions. He has helped me go from “I have no idea what I am doing to I can play quite a few songs now!” in less than a year. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
14. Gré Records & Coffee

Best place around to have a real expresso. Good music. Visit it! You will love this Cafe.
Great place.
Small good place to study or read a book. They have a lending library with a variety of genres.
This was my first visit to the coffeehouse and it actually is very small but does have a nice outside patio. I didn’t see that much art but actually there are hundreds and possibly several thousand album records the Long play 33 RPMs that are available for sale and some seem to be rather rare. The owner was very nice and our group enjoyed this was my first visit to the coffee house and it actually is very small but does have a nice outside patio. Super atmosphere great open mic
One of the worst coffees I’ve had in my life, extremely watery
Super friendly staff and space is funky and cool but coffee has room for improvement. It may be that they specialize in flavored/different drinks but a normal latte was nowhere near the standards of a coffee shop.
I can’t call this place neither coffee house nor art galery. Coffee and service are below average. And the place is very untidy especially for food serving facility. Dust even on tables… Restroom is terrible…
15. Sunny Sounds – Palm Springs Recording Studios
Address: 333 N Palm Canyon Dr UNIT 117, Palm Springs, CA 92262 , Palm Springs , California , United States
Huge selection of rocks and more ! i don’t understand why they don’t smile though, the energy in the room should be a happy place.
Wonderful shop. Spent time talking with the owner. Takes such care and thought into their collection. One of the nicest shops I’ve been into in the country and ALWAYS stop at a shop wherever I see one! Love how detailed well laid out the locations/info of each piece was. Nice detail and smart business with pre-made cards for customers for each of your items. So I didn’t need to take pics to remember the meaning behind my stones.
My friend did the large geode cracking and they even have a device to help crack it perfectly down the middle. Came out great! Love this place! Some very unique stuff I don’t see many places and very well priced!
The young man working at the shop is wonderful and extremely helpful! The prices are reasonable and they have a great selection. The lady working at the front has been very rude both times I have gone in, responding with attitude. Ruined my experience at the shop.
Pricey
This is a very nice rock shop. The prices are a little high, but it comes with the territory, being in a tourist area. The quality is great and the selection is huge, but I kind of wish the descriptions of the stones weren’t limited to the metaphysical BS, and included some of the natural history of the rocks and minerals. Still, it’s worth a visit. They have a little bit of everything.
Don’t go here, especially if your on vacation in the desert, do not be fooled by this tourist trap of a crystal store. There are way better metaphysical stores literally on the same street that will actually treat you kindly (and might even offer you some help hahaha like wow), crystal fantasy is incredible (like I said literally on the same street)
Im a desert local and have been going to all of our crystal shops, which until recently have been very few, all of my life. Randomly one day I saw the rock shop on the Palm Springs strip and went in because it was new.
Knowing what they had there from going in the first time, and taking a look around I decided to go back and stock up on some new crystals. My second time visiting this Crystal store was really weird and awkward.
I went in July-7th (2021 obviously lol)and there were two people working, a young guy and, a blonde girl.
When I walked in they were both kinda sitting on the floor behind the register all weird.
I was the one who said hi to them, they weren’t friendly at all but I made the trip there so I continued to walk through the store and look for the crystals I was there for, and they continue their conversation not offering me any help, I started to get a feeling that I was unwelcome, which is so unacceptable and wrong for a place that is preaching metaphysical healing and positive vibes, talk about fake kindness..so I was about to leave when out of nowhere the most adorable little dog walked in and I asked them if it was theirs to make sure it wasn’t someone’s dog who had gotten lost on the strip while they’re on vacation or something.
At this point the guy was standing ( while the girl stayed sitting what looked like on the floor or something, like am I in the twilight zone?!) and he told me it was their dog, I was relieved and was saying “oh thank goodness he’s not lost!” and just raved about how adorable he was. The guy kind of said thanks, when I looked at the blonde girl working she just opened her eyes real wide at me like I’m an idiot or something hahaha I felt so dumb, she was so mean and unprofessional she literally didn’t say anything to me the entire time I was there other than an awkward and unwelcoming hi back when I said it to her.
I was so uncomfortable and confused, I just said “okay… bye” and left.
I will never go back there, I thought it was going to be one of my new favorite Crystal spots because I live so close, but this is a perfect example of “new definitely doesn’t mean better” especially in this case and also a great example of “fake positivity” it’s just rude people selling overprice crystals there .
Go to Crystal fantasy just a little further down on the same side of the street or even earths elements which will be even before crystal fantasy. The people that work at those shops are very kind and so helpful!
The Clerk was being very intolerant to my friends and bigoted. She was Verbally abusing and getting fairly aggressive with my friends mother when we reported to her what happened. Two of my friends are People of color. she was giving them dirty looks and disregarding them for whom they are. She then proceeded to tell them to stop crowding the store shelves as they were looking at crystals. Claiming that they were trying to steal. They faithfully walked out of the shop. And one of my friends told her mother what happened. Her mother decided not to tolerate it. And approached the Clerk in a very calm way. The clerk then proceeded to say “It’s my job to make sure they aren’t stealing.” Referring to us four. eventually she yelled at my friends mother and walked off. Her friends mother took a photo of the woman. Bad Service I recommend to NOT shop here if you don’t want to be disrespected. I cannot even ponder most of the things she had said. It’s offensive and assaultive. She acted like it was nothing and shook it off saying “It’s just part of my job.” The woman seemed to have a interest in entitlement and bigotry. Keep in mind that she also wasn’t wearing a mask. When Palm Springs strictly has a policy to be wearing a mask in certain stores. That Store had that policy written on a big sign. The photo of the woman can be seen in the bottom attachment.
reallyy rude lady up front…totally ruins the vibe of the place lol wish she was at least wearing a mask to hide her ugly demeanor
