Love Flores! Service been great since i was a kid. Lessons here are also great!
Had a great experience with Flores Music. I drove from the St Louis area to purchase 2 really nice bass guitars. I spoke with 2 of the staff members prior to my trip and they were both super friendly and very helpful. They even took the 2 basses off their Reverb site to make sure no one purchased them before I had a chance to try them out. I highly recommend their shop. They went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations. Also noticed they had some really nice gear beyond the instruments I purchased.
Thank you so much to the man that helped me with the violin for my daughter, I was in there with my tired 2 year old son and he was being a handful and you were so very helpful and I thank you so much!
Nice music store.
It was awesome na Kevin Gray Is such a good drum teacher
Pros: I just moved here and was told by a guitar center employee that Flores music down the road has the best guy around to diagnose a problem I have with my very expensive guitar. Three shops had tried and failed at this point. I wish I could remember the technicians name; it started with a “j” I know, he takes one look at the guitar and checks a couple things. He then tells me that the problem is easily fixed. I tell him I’ve heard that before. But while I waited he fixed the buzzing problem and even corrected a couple other things that were bad. I’ve never had a guitar play this well ever! The con is when I was done thanking the savior of my taylor guitar a man from the store got mad at me for peeking my head in the shop to talk to the technician who I am trusting with my guitar. Sorry Flores music for bothering you with my business. Great repairs and lousy customer relations.
I have bought $1,000’s worth of stuff from this place. I always have felt like I had been treated fairly and given a good deal. I have even taken some of my stuff in to have it repaired and cleaned. I bought a fantastic pair of speakers no one has heard of and that have a goofy connection on the back. I went in and spoke with them about it and decided to try banana plugs. I was under the impression that if it didn’t work I could bring it back in and return it. So my wife stops in with the original receipt and in the original packaging (unopened) and they refuse to give our money back. In store credit is all I can get. It’s terrible business practice and I should have been told up front that they would not except the return, especially since I had been talking to them about what I was doing. I will from now on do my business elsewhere.
Don’t buy anything from them, nobody there competent enough to know what they are selling

Fun place to shop and support. Would recommend a visit!

Lots of vendors very reasonably priced and very clean. I wished I wasn’t traveling home by train. I would have purchased several items but my suitcase wasn’t big enough.

Great people to work with. Very professional and high quality products and repair work.
Fantastic customer service! Found the item to be less expensive than online. I enjoy being supportive of local businesses.
Friendly and helpful staff!
Friendly and knowledgeable
The store is pretty good. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. They take the time to help you find what you are looking for, whether it’s sheet music, instruments, or accessories. They also offer lessons with some great teachers.
Have issues taking money off cards don’t say why just say sorry we can’t help
6. RBC Entertainment
Address: 2010 E Bishop Ave, Peoria, IL 61614 , Peoria Heights , Illinois , United States
Jeff is amazing to work with. Affordable rates, good music and personable DJ. My wedding had no alcohol and he still got most of the guests out on the dance floor. Would definitely recommend. My only critique would be to play a few more slow songs so people get a slight break from the full-on dancing songs haha. Otherwise, great experience.
7. Guitar Center
Address: 2601 W Lake Ave, Peoria, IL 61615 , Peoria Heights , Illinois , United States
These guys are very helpful. The staff is welcoming and they have a huge selection of items. Prices may not beat online but it’s nice to be able to see and feel something before you buy it.
Great selection, friendly staff. Have gone in and tried several guitars in the past, the staff was always helpful. Went in to purchase a guitar and all my questions were answered. After looking at the display unit, a new one from stock was brought out and removed from the box for inspection. Very reasonably priced, lots of available parts & accessories. Store is clean, although somewhat tightly packed with amps on the floor and tight shelving. Overall good experience and would not hesitate to shop here again.
All the workers suck. I know what i use stop trying to change me..
The manager sucks
As a former employee, I know what Guitar Center has to offer and how sad this store has become compared to what it used to be. I walked in wanting to look at a new acoustic, spent over an hour in the acoustic room, came out WITH A GUITAR IN HAND and received no attention until I went to the desk. I was then informed that they’d get one new in the box from the back. I’d rather have the one in the humidity controlled acoustic room than one from the drafty warehouse, regardless of whether it’s been played before, because it’s the one I sat down with and enjoyed playing. Apparently, that makes no sense to someone who is allegedly a guitar player…
Long story short, all the good sales associates left this store long ago. You’re better off going online or through another GC.
8. Younger Than Yesterday
Address: 2615 N University St, Peoria, IL 61604 , Peoria Heights , Illinois , United States
Fantastic selection of old and new records in an organized environment! Owners are super nice, too.
We make this gem a must visit each summer when we come through Peoria.
Awesome place. Amazing selection. Owner was cool and offered to play anything we wanted while there while browsing the huge selection they had.
My only complaint is that their new vinyl is very overpriced. Great selection of used stuff though.
It’s ok they have so much stuff in boxes, and storage containers It’s a mess In there. So they may have tons of good stuff but don’t know because in boxes or storage bins. The place is kinda hard to get around to check things out.
Great selection of used music. Way WAY overpriced. Purchase cheaper off the net.
. Totally made us feel unwelcome. He has TONS of stuff. We made a purchase but will never go back to the overpriced elitist
Never will return. Had records out on the floor that evidently weren’t for sale yet??? had no interest in helping me and then when he did was a total jerk. Unbelievable.
Fantastic Columbian coffee house. They primarily use their own farm’s beans. Espresso had amazing crema and smooth texture. Friendly, authentic, immigrant owned business.
Best coffee in Peoria, hands down.
I’d recommend to stop in for a cheese danish and an espresso. That’s all you need to start your day right.
Visited for the first time recently and got the Mexican Vanilla latte. It was excellent. The flavor was great and I loved that I could still taste the espresso along with it (rather than being totally masked by the flavor). Cute interior as well and outdoor seating is also available.
Review Visit: October 1st, 2020
Is ‘third times the charm’ applicable for coffeehouses in this location? Only time will tell.
Having been two other coffeehouses in the past (Caffe Bogota and 30/30 Coffee), will the Cafe Santa Rosa be the one that makes it in this location? Hopefully!
I try to avoid discussing the state of the world in these blogs but 2020 has been a year of staying home and traveling via imagination. When my friend Maria mentioned there was a new coffeehouse that opened in Peoria, we decided to try it out. Worst comes to worst, we would get our drinks and enjoy them outside. Luckily upon entering, everything was spaced far enough apart that we could sit inside instead of the dreary rainy yet sunny weather outside.
Having visited Caffe Bogota prior to Cafe Santa Rosa opening, I noticed quite the similar layout and decor. Maybe they inherited the stuff from the previous owners or what. But I liked the decor of the prior place so this brought up the feeling of something slightly new yet familiar. Despite the feeling of deja vu, the menu and food offerings seemed to be unique to this new place. They had some quiche in their baked goods merchandiser, which I don’t think I’ve seen in any other coffeehouse.
Maria had already ordered her drink by the time I got there as I was held up in traffic due to some incident about 2 mile from my destination. After watching the menu switch between different images on the tv behind the barista, I decided to order a black cold brew. Lately, I’ve been enjoying the bitterness of cold brews and americanos, so that is why I deviated from my usual ice caramel latte. I placed my ordered and bought some of these cheese breadsticks that Maria said she was eyeing. We split those as I waited for my cold brew to come out. The drink itself was $4 for a 16 ounce while the breadsticks were $0.75. The sticks were a good deal considering the amount that came in the little bag. Maria brought me some homemade banana bread but I saved that for the car ride home :3.
As we sat there enjoying the remnants of the breadsticks and our dwindling coffee, I instantly recognized a problem with this place. It wasn’t packed by any means… maybe 5 people total minus the staff… but the place was loud. I had some bad flashbacks to my times visiting Zion Coffee Bar and mentally being overwhelmed at the sheer volume of the place. It got hard to hear Maria as we conversed. Luckily this issue slowly faded as a few people left, but then it felt like anytime we talked, everyone could heard every single thing we said at full volume. This lead to some uncomfortable conversations and awkward silences.
All that aside, we are here to discuss coffee. How was the cold brew? It was…. a cold brew. Nothing exciting yet nothing disappointing. It was no different than cold brews that I’ve made myself. But at the same time, cold brews can be flavored (which I didn’t do this time), so the sky is the limit on flavoring it to your liking. I did feel that the ice was a bit much in my cup and actually cut down on the amount of coffee I was served. But maybe that’s a good thing as what I did have was enough to wake me up without making me jittery.
Maria said she had been here the week before when there was a car show and she really enjoyed the coffee she got then. This is how she discovered the place and piqued my interest in coming. I am glad to get out of my place and explore a place since it had been about 7 months since I’ve really gone anywhere besides work and the store.
I do hope this place sticks around for awhile as I have recently gotten in to teas in the last few months and really want to try some of this… Rishi?… tea they have on the menu. Overall, not a bad place to get some coffee that might be better to take out than eat in due to interior volume issues.
I always enjoy going to Cafe Santa Rosa. It’s a really cute place and has such kind staff. I ordered the oatmeal bake for the first time. It was really good. I was hoping it would be hot, but it was still good. My only issue today was that we weren’t informed of the private event happening today. I wish there was a sign on the day l door ahead of time. I did check Facebook and saw that they did announce it yesterday that they would be closed. So I guess that was just my mistake for not seeing it online. Either way, looking forward to going back again!
A good local coffee shop with nice service. The cappuccino was good but the banana bread is ok.
I tried the new location a few times. They are always understaffed. It took 15 minutes to get a regular coffee. And their credit card machine wasn’t working again. They haven’t impressed me so far. Seats are uncomfortable. They are using the ones that came with the place from the Betty Jane. Not comfortable at all.
They need to keep working on getting better. I’ll maybe try back next year.
Met here with some friends for the first time. This new location is in the old Betty Jayne Bremmer Center for the Performing Arts which I had special ties to. The coffee was fantastic, barrista was fantastic. We selected seating upstairs. While enjoying our coffee and conversation, an older lady came upstairs and asked us to lower our voices. We went back downstairs, had our coffees and desserts put in to-go containers and told the woman we would NEVER return. This place is listed as a ‘social meeting spot’. As a business owner myself, this is not a way to welcome patrons. We felt shamed and unwelcome. If people need a quiet place, they should go to a library, not a coffee shop that provides loud bands in the evening. So disappointing. This place had potential.
First of all where I went wrong I got An iced chai latte. I watched them make it they poured The chai out of a bottle, I’m not sure if this is typical for a coffee shop or not. The latte was Sickeningly sweet no don’t get me wrong I love a honey chai but this was just too sweet and paired horribly with the chai spice. The atmosphere is cold White and minimalistic, lacking the warmth and comfort that many cafés and coffee shops provide. I’d say it would be OK if you wanted to just go there for a work meeting and only order coffee but if you’re looking for a place to hang out and have drinks other than coffee. This is not your place.

I look forward to what they do as a music group over the years and the different connections made through them. 17. Three21 Studios
Address: 4503 Knoxville Ave, Peoria, IL 61614 , Peoria Heights , Illinois , United States
This company is a business’s best friend. Because of their range of expertise under one roof, I was able to work with one company for so many of our business needs from branding, to packaging, to video, to photography, to website. I appreciated the time it saved in communicating who we are as a company, and it was invaluable for keeping everything cohesive.
I initially hired Three21 Studios to create my corporate video. I was floored by the top line quality of their work, and it has been one of the best decisions I made for my company. I was so impressed by the work, that I hired them for our custom website. Even though my company is called “Fair+Simple”, there is nothing simple about the custom web work they did to suit our individualized and complex needs. From here on out, I will be working with Three21 studios on web design and development as well as a host of other things. I look forwarding to a long partnership with this company.
I highly recommend, which happens a lot because customers are frequently asking me who did our video and website!
I am the president of a local baseball league – Peoria Sunday Morning League. It is an historic league – over 100 years old. We wanted a new logo to commemorate our century achievement. We met with Chris at his Studio. We were looking for a logo, but what we got was so much more. He can do it all. Literally! His service, care, and attention to detail is incredible. His skill is unmatched. He started with a logo. And then after seeing his entire production capabilities, we hired him to produce a documentary to tell the story of our baseball league. The film was absolutely amazing. It was selected for the Film Festival at the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Chris does amazing work. His work has inspired so many people. He is so talented — design, graphics, film, production, web, music — he does it all! If you have any project – big or small – I highly recommend Chris Zobac at Three21 Studios. If you want a logo or a full-length film, give Chris a call. If you want a commercial for your business or an inspirational tribute, he can do it all. I highly recommend him!
Amazing.
18. Piano Studio of Kozue Pepper (Nationally Certified Teacher of Music)
Address: 301 W Northgate Rd, Peoria, IL 61614 , Peoria Heights , Illinois , United States
Mrs. Kozue is the kindest/friendliest piano instructor my children have had! She challenges them to play songs outside of their favorite genre. She really has opened their eyes to songs they would not otherwise heard of. Really am grateful that we found her!
19. Two Sisters and a Warehouse
Address: 121 E Lake Ave, Peoria, IL 61614 , Peoria Heights , Illinois , United States
Holy Cow! This place is great! I walk inside, and judging from the outside I thought it was small, but this place is huge! Such a huge variety of items! I was impressed and nearly in awe! So much to see! But as nice as it was, I thought, I’m sure the prices have got to be very high . Well I was wrong! The prices I found were completely reasonable! Actually, truth be told, they were much cheaper than the Goodwills or Salvation Army’s these days! Hold on, that’s not all! They also have a small cafe/restaurant which is such a treat really!
Wait! There’s even more! The workers were really nice and make sure you’re shopping experience was Amazing! Loved the music they played over the loudspeaker, made the shopping experience even more enjoyable 🙂
Cool place! Lots to see and pick from
Amazing store. Super kind and helpful staff. Super reasonable prices. Along with getting some super great finds it was an experience to look through everything. Would definitely go again!
It has a nice selection of antiques, collectibles, crafts etc. We always find some type of treasure there. It’s always worth the stop. Plan in about an hour.
Okay great on collection
And Eatery
It’s overall pretty nice. Really big. Lots of stuff to walk around and look at. Most things were overpriced, but I found things that I liked. Most of all I liked how neat everything was. I’ll add a picture of what I purchased.
very pretty but workers treated me with rudeness and disrespect, felt so weird and unsafe.
My partner and I came in here expecting to buy antiques for our new home. While I was walking with items in my hand and the owner can and grabbed the items out of my hand, “ let me put those in a basket for you.” Um… okay sure. As we shopped along, my partner was being followed and watched by the same lady. Don’t come here if you like to shop in peace and not be discriminated against. If I could give 0 stars I would.
This place has changed their hours. I drove all the way there and it’s now closed on Monday’s. Nothing on any website or social media platform said this. Even if this is because of COVID-19, it’s simple to update the hours for customers.
20. Olio & Vino
Address: 4603 N Prospect Rd, Peoria Heights, IL 61616 , Peoria Heights , Illinois , United States
1st time visiting this lovely little store. The hubby and I stepped in after lunch across the street to check this place out. The employee that waited on us was very friendly and helpful. We only sampled one flavor of oil/vinegar (lemon white balsamic and herbed tuscan oil) and i was sold! We tried our purchase same day as a dipping sauce with grated Parmigiano reggiano and some crusty French bread….heavenly. The oil and vinegar we chose also made a delicious salad dressing. We will be back!
Nice cute specialty store.
product is good. customer service is eh..okay. sometimes you feel like a bother
Lady stocking shelves in small store did not wear a mask. I won’t be returning anytime soon.
