I definitely had a similar experience here as others have commented. The owner makes rude and unnecessary comments. I felt pretty uncomfortable in the store and went to sit in the car while my husband looked around. He found something he liked which is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1.
I was on my way to the store, and decided to stop in. As I walked in the owner was at the door messing with the radio. We spoke and he said oh I’m just playing some gospel music. I said cool man, I love places like this and proceeded to walk around looking. I asked him if they had any baseball cards, he said there’s some around here I don’t know where they are, so I went on about my business like a normal human being. After about five minutes of walking around looking, he said hey man just get out of here. I replied excuse me? He said I want you to get out, you ain’t got no money, show me your money or leave. I was blown away! I showed him that I did have money and said man I’m just looking, I enjoy places like this. He said no I want you to get out, I don’t feel right. I politely complied. This business owner profiled me because of the way I look! I.e tattoos.. wow, what a hypocrite! Playing gospel music, and treating someone that way. What a fake!!!
This is such a shame because this store has some really nice unique items. However, while I was looking through the headboards and footboards I accidentally pulled on one that began to tip over the stack. Luckily only a few fell over, and nothing was broken. It was purely by accident that this happened. The owner was less than gracious about my mishap and used language that surprised me considering the Christian music playing in the background. It’s not how we treat each other in Prairie Grove. I of course apologized, and had been legitimately interested in one of the beds but I left after the incident because I was uncomfortable.
Unless the reviews on this store improve, I’m not sure I will be back.
3. Southern Mercantile Antiques, Vintage & Gifts
Address: 107 E Buchanan St, Prairie Grove, AR 72753 , Prairie Grove , Arkansas , United States
Seems like I go by every few weeks. Friendly staff & beautiful pieces. Very expensive
Don’t know what else to say! Love it.
Excellently laid out antique shop.
Alot of great finds
Beautiful shop!
They do have some nice items. We wanted to make offers on 3 larger items from dealer #53 but they give no discounts or will not calls for any discounts. And dealer #10 gives no discounts. We left, probably won’t return!!
4. The Locals Flea Market
Address: 128 E Buchanan St, Prairie Grove, AR 72753 , Prairie Grove , Arkansas , United States
The owner and the people that work there is very sweet !!
Wonderful!
Love Daisies and Olives. They always have a great assortment of vintage decor and are reasonably priced.
Nice people, good variety of goodies.
Love everything offered and the atmosphere
Very nice place to shop
not a real flea market, just another consignment shop
I was in line to check out when I heard the lady behind the counter and the person that was in front of me chatting it up. It seemed nice at first, but when it was my turn to check out everything was dead silent. She didn’t look me in the eye, or say ‘how are you?’, or ‘did you find everything okay?’, literally NOTHING. I was in a great mood till I realized someone was judging me from behind the counter.
I guess they never learned the Golden Rule!
But hey, the lady that sells the vintage books out of there was super sweet and I loved getting my plant book from her. ❤️
Selection is amazing service is not.

Great atmosphere, great customers, and great vendors!!
We’ve been attending this festival for 6 years now and every year it seems to get better!
Some of the most unique vendors selling their crafts. Things we’ve never seen before, are available here!
It usually runs sat-mon on Labor Day weekends, so make the trip – you won’t regret it!!!!
Not as many vendors as there used to be and quality of vendors had gone down.
By far, my favorite music store to visit in northwest Arkansas. Great selection of equipment and great people make this a definite stop for any string instrument lover.
At Blue Moon you always pay Les.
Great stuff
Les has one of the best music stores around. It’s full of great vintage and new gear at reasonable prices. I’ve purchased several items from Blue Moon Music and will continue to do business with Les. He knows his gear and is a fine musician as well. Go check him out in person. I do wish they had a good website that displayed all his current gear.
It cool
I got a Fender blues Jr. amp fixed here last year and payed $60 for the work. A few weeks later the amp stopped working so I called the shop and the owner told me that they don’t guarantee their work. I took the amp to another store and spent another $60 to have it worked on again. Take care of your customers and they will come back.
9. Mel’s Diner
Address: 109 W Buchanan St, Prairie Grove, AR 72753 , Prairie Grove , Arkansas , United States
I’ve eaten here several times working out towards Prairie Grove and everything I’ve tried has been delicious. Definitely recommend the burger, omelette, or Philly cheesesteak. Usually in and out in under 30 minutes as well.
Mel’s is my all-time favorite place to eat! Great prices and wonderful food! Owners are super friendly and always make us feel like family! Will recommend again and again!
Great food and atmosphere the pancake is as big as the plate.
Great food. Great Service. Nice people, who care about your experience…to a fault. I continue to eat there.
Very good food reasonably priced. Huge burgers but a bit overcooked.
Way over priced. Family cost $52. Won’t return.
Customers obviously are not important to this business. I have never encountered such a rude waitress in my entire life. Food was mediocre at best.
The waitress is rude an the restroom is dirty the toilet hasn’t been cleaned in a long time.
10. Inside Out Studio

Such a great little gem to have in our community! Affordable and everyone here is great. Vocal, instrumental, acting and even producing are some of the lessons they offer.
So wonderful! We have been going to Inside Out Studio for a year now. My daughter has learned so much and we Love Mrs. Sarah!
11. Guitar Center
Address: 160 E Joyce Blvd, Fayetteville, AR 72703 , Prairie Grove , Arkansas , United States
Courteous fast and professional staff very attentive to what you need and will help fit your budget..
Bought an iPad Mini holder here. Couldn’t find one anywhere else in the area. Best Buy recommended Guitar Center. Friendly, helpful staff.
Awesome staff! These guys really know their stuff. I personally am not the most advanced musician but if I have a question I know I can always turn for help here. I doesn’t matter if the question is related to trouble shooting or asking for an opinion they always come through. Friendly and very Knowledgeable I would most definitely recommend Guitar Center!
Doesn’t sell pig nose amps. Friendly employees. Ready to help. Clean. I didn’t like how many people were in the shop. Overall a okay experience.
You know what, I love to play music and talk about music and play guitars that aren’t mine cause it seems every guitar has its own songs. But, I just overall dislike guitar centers. I mean go and look, try some amps and pedals and test drive a guitar but dont buy off the wall. Do buy drums from guitar center and do buy recording equipment and software or even a keyboard but dont buy guitars off the wall. Unless its used gear. Buy the used gear if you like it. I bought a sweet custom bass for $200 and it came with the original manufacturers case and had the original sales receipt from 1989 in it for nearly $3000. I showed the guys and they just looked at each other all dumb founded.
Nicely laid out store. Wish the employees know a bit more about their products.
This place use to have good quality guitars, now all the have is cheap junk. Went in to get some guitar stings the other day, waited forever for someone to check me out. I ended up just walking away. I’m not waiting 30 minutes to purchase guitar strings. Won’t be back!
Very unprofessional and unknowledgeable luthier. Nearly messed up my guitar. Paid 20 dollars for a simple strap button install. He paid no attention to where I told him to place it and instead just put it in a general area where now the strap and button interferes with playing any high notes. He Didn’t even know you were supposed to put something like a felt underneath it and blistered my finish. It used to be an old man working there that did top quality work now it’s this punk. I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS LUTHIER! The staff is cool tho.
Poor service and staff was even more less knowledgeable
12. The Bluebird
Address: 111 E Buchanan St, Prairie Grove, AR 72753 , Prairie Grove , Arkansas , United States
Love this store! Always helpful, whether picking out fabric, or questions about pattern directions.
These ladies are some of the best in the business. They are very well informed and are willing to help in any way they can. If they don’t know the answer they will do their best to find out. They offer many options to make your sewing and quilting hobbies a success! They are family making you feel like family.
New quilt shop in town and love the displays they do … also amazing people!!
14. Arkansas Musicworks
Address: 2400 SE J St, Bentonville, AR 72712 , Prairie Grove , Arkansas , United States
Their mission of “Art, Architecture and Nature” comes through in a wonderful way. Crystal Bridges is unique and just blows me away every time I visit. And the works of art, stunning.
Amazing drum department, and great service!
THESE GUYS ARE AWESOME,ALWAYS FRIENDLY AND SUPER HELPFUL!,THANKS!
Friendly staff.
Pretty nice place! First time I have ever been was last week and was surprised at how pretty the inside of the building was and the nice selection overall. They have some beautiful guitars in there that take up an entire wall!
My only two complaints is the drum section is cramped in a corner, and I wasn’t approached or asked if I needed help a single time. There was one other customer in the building besides me and there was around four employees by the counter. I walked around the entire store for about 30 minutes and not a single time was I asked if I needed anything.
Not a major deal. Nice store and I will be back!
Great place.
They put my kid in their waiting list 3 months back. We tried to call instructor 3 times and left voice messages but no response ever. It is so unprofessional and we did not like it….
Case And bow is falling apart. I wouldn’t recommend musicworks to anybody. Complete rip off. I got a 15 inch viola and within a year I had to get rid of it, because it was poorly made.
They werent interested in helping enless you were buying brand new.
15. Junk Ranch
Address: 11195 Centerpoint Church Rd, Prairie Grove, AR 72753 , Prairie Grove , Arkansas , United States
1st time there and I will be coming back often !! Loved it lots !!
Amazing place for amazing junk finds!!
I had never been here and did not really know what to expect. But it is in a field and there are a lot of vendors. And lots and lots of stuff. I believe it is twice maybe three times a year and I will definitely be going back. You pay to get in the gate and you can come and go as you please if needed after that and they have numerous food trucks and live music there as well.
Good place to buy antiques and crafts.
Lots of things to do and found some good stuff.
Ok so we love going to craft fairs, what I don’t love is being charged for entry when you’re already collecting vendor and food vendor fees. What I also don’t love is them marketing their own merch (sweaters, shirts, hats) at exorbitant prices ($50-60 a sweatshirt) but whatever I wasn’t there to buy that stuff anyway. What I did LOVE, was that it was a great mix of antiques, rehabbing antiques, furniture and just a little new stuff. It was 1000% better than Vintage Market days which was 99% nothing vintage. We walked around for hours and found many great things to bring home!
We had to pay $5 per adult to get in. The booths were full of over priced crafts. There was nothing cool about the place. I would like my money back.
You have to wait in a long car line to get parked, $10 per person to get in the gate, once in; everything was way over priced and alot of it looked more like trash than refurbishable junk. Left after 45 minutes. Not worth the time or money to get in. We ended up at the Apple fest and junk at the mill, that was a lot better and reasonably priced.
1st time to Junk Ranch. Went early Thursday evening in hopes to have a shot at some “Good Stuff”. Drove 3 hours, Stood in line for 2 hours and Paid $20 each for my wife and myself. 30 minutes of shopping and left with NOTHING! No Antiques or Collectibles! Crafts, primitives and housewares…. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!!!
16. Meteor Guitar Gallery
Address: 128 W Central Ave, Bentonville, AR 72712 , Prairie Grove , Arkansas , United States
Not the greatest “music store” around, but an absolute jewel that is full of history! Certainly worth swing by if you are in the area with a bit of time to kill
Wonderful guitar gallery that includes an amazing old theater. They host many local musicians and also allow the School of Rock to present their student rock concerts. A true member of the local scene. Go check out their guitars and other instruments….and catch a show.
Just amazing place
Had no idea how cool & big this place was on the inside. Saw a great show & enjoyed the ambience. Check it out for a live performance sometime. I’ve disregarded this spot for 3.5 yrs but will likely be attending more shows now that I’m aware of this gem.
Had a blast at an event here. Big open space in the back.
Great prices and management
Worst experience with a music store ever! Lack of knowledge. Limited amount of guitar strings. Just terrible experience first and last time there!
Canceled concert and never got refund
17. The Musician’s Exchange
Address: 2221 Alma Hwy, Van Buren, AR 72956 , Prairie Grove , Arkansas , United States
Nice guys, and good service. Very friendly, will be back to buy more.
Best place for music
Nice shop
This place is very small and crowded with goods. Most of the things are for those who really want to rock out. Lots of amps and electronic equipment and electrified instruments. Very little acoustic. The photos you see on Google maps don’t quite represent as much what you see in the store because it looks from the pictures like there’s more acoustic than they’re actually is. But the staff seem to be very good at helping customers make decisions.
#accessibility accessibility is poor. There is a super steep ramp step to get into the store and then it’s crowded inside. My friend on crutches with a large service dog had a difficult time getting around inside. I had a small guide dog and found the quarters very cramped. I’m just mentioning this so that people will be aware. Next time I go in, I will leave my guide dog at home and use a white cane to navigate.
The vast majority of the store has everything for electric instruments. There’s a little teeny acoustic room in the back which is so small that you barely have enough room to turn around and certainly not enough room to change your mind. Again mentioning so the people know what to expect.
Great places to take your child to get a school band instrument.
the staff is helpful. Just check the things out before you buy, the stuff is used so check it out and make sure it works the way you want it to work.
Unfriendly staff
Bought a brand new acoustic guitar here after years of using this store for my musical needs. The guitar wasnt staying in tune and i noticed the intonation was a little off as well. I took it back 4 days later and they offered me 100 bucks for it. It was brand new and i spend 400 on it and bought a 150 dollar case as well. Thats not the way you treat repeat customers. I will never be returning to this store again.
Hate it I could not find a clarinet ,:(
18. Valley Piano Co
Address: 3515 W Main St, Russellville, AR 72801 , Prairie Grove , Arkansas , United States
Super quick and knowledgeable! Got everything I needed to get my kiddo up and going with her new guitar!
I stopped in there for the 1st time and spoke to Brian and he helped me with buying an Amp for my Guitar. Very good Price and the Customer Service was Great!
Such a friendly, helpful place. Reasonable prices, lots to look at.
Great people, a very old store
I went into to buy a guitar. Very small selection
Lots of sheet music and DVDs but it is all on the computer today. Wonderful people. I wish them well!
My visit was to test the integrity of an electric guitar I had. Spoke to the guy behind the counter. (The one with the gray streaked goatee). Told him I was preparing to sell it via Facebook, and all I want to do is see if it sounds as it should. He said it was ok I was like great thanks. The buyer was from outta town and was shopping for guitar supplies. She had just bought amp still needed a cord possibly more. Asked her to meet up there since she was just down the road. She wanted to go in do to the rain. Instantly he started ranting that he’s a business man a professional and I was shady for what I had done. I was very polite. My reply ( I’m sorry I brought you a customer sure she meet up with me to buy a guitar for cheap but she still may need something) she was there for his childish act. ( she replied I do need a cord) He didn’t even bother to respond to her. He looks at me says someone smells bad like cigarettes… Wow 0 stars for your sir. Where’s your public relations at. Your welcome for that sell.
