My favorite thrift store! We love the people who work there and the prices are so affordable.
Love this place.
Cute shop. Nice employees. $10 mininum to use your debit card. A little overpriced for being so rural, but I’m glad that all funds go to their Humane Society next door.
3. The 57 Store
Address: 890 ID-57, Priest River, ID 83856 , Priest River , Idaho , United States
Great stop if you driving through. Lots of souvenirs for the local attractions. Also good stop for some gernal goods as you head up to enjoy the wilderness. Some food and drinks available. The people that run this are always friendly and helpful. Be back next year.
So much fun stuff in a small space. All the stickers and Priest River/Lake souvenirs you need.
Excelent, pie was amazing.
Neat little shop. Lots of souvenirs. Little overpriced though.
Lovely experience the ladies were nice we got acai bowls. I felt they were a little bit overpriced. But good products. The lids that came with the product weren’t fitting on the actual Bowl.
4. Priest River Pets
Address: 4799 US-2, Priest River, ID 83856 , Priest River , Idaho , United States
Great place with good service and cute animals. I got 2 guinea pigs and i have had so much fun with them, they were already hand friendly and everything. Good prices as well.
Great store, great people. Great prices!!!
Very good for a small store
Good only lost one fish
Seems like a good place to shop for pet items. Only been there once. Friendly staff. They had what I needed.
Great people and a fun shop.
I purchased an item & when I left to go to my car, realize that I was charged more than the item was marked. I took the item & receipt back in & she told me the item was priced wrong. Instead of informing me the item had been priced incorrectly prior to purchase, she still charged me for more money. Though she credited me by honoring the price on the package, she did this only because I brought it back in to her store.
They didn’t have change for $100 so I didn’t buy anything and I left
5. Healing Frequencies Music
Address: 610 E Ockert St S, Oldtown, ID 83822 , Priest River , Idaho , United States
Red is an amazing musician. He writes music and teaches He is very patient and observant. He sees and helps you solve any problems or difficulties right away so you can make music without a lot of the normal frustrations Don’t hesitate or doubt yourself.
With Reds help and encouragement you can do it!
I take fiddle lessons from Red, there affordable and REALLY helpful. Also he has some really neat instruments in his shop. Go check them out!
Fiddlin’ Red’s is a great place to find an honest deal and great service. I went in to see if I should have work done on a violin, long story short, I walked out with a new violin for the same cost and he played a live concert 😉 my kids still talk about it every time we go by. Thanks Red!
7. The Settlement Kitchen + Craft Tavern
Address: 5634 US-2, Priest River, ID 83856 , Priest River , Idaho , United States
Nice menu, good service and my food was excellent.
For or first trip ever, excellent food, excellent staff, actually authentic southern rub on the ribs and perfect pallet clearing poppy seed colslaw. We will be coming back for sure. As locals who ate bad food at the previous restaurant, it was a risk for us we were very happy to take. Can’t wait to try more. And rate again. They will get 5 stars when they have proved the test of time
Menu not apealing overpriced several people say nothing on menu draws you in farm salmon fish a chips come on no steaks frenchdip we like real fish a redmeat not Tofu good luck!
It was not the greatest food ever, just ok. Very small menu and expensive. We ordered the shrimp tacos and the fries. The fries were over cooked and very hard. The shrimp was nothing amazing. Won’t be going back again.
Honestly zero stars if I could. For an hour water watching 3 other tables get their food before ours and not getting checked in on once. Not worth the wait for the mediocre food they serve.
8. Wilburn Custom Shop
Address: 118-B N 2nd Ave, Sandpoint, ID 83864 , Priest River , Idaho , United States
Took my son in for a guitar repair and left with an amazing new guitar that suited his needs for almost less than the repair of his old guitar. Owner is extremely knowledgeable and willing to help in any way! Was a great experience
Sold me a great guitar at a great price. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Has a great inventory of instruments.
I have a gifted guitar for my birthday and I just wanted to say, ThankYou it sounds amazing and good tone. Great practice guitar too great for jamming, I also bought an few percussion accessories, an also drum sticks which is worth it for the good quality they are still lasting, and good service. Amazing shop to visit when looking for good Priced instruments or learning the names of instruments.
Scott did a great job repairing the neck and frets on my strat. Friendly, knowledgeable, and honest service. This is a well stocked music store for any musician.
I recently bought a guitar and case and spent a good chunk of money. When I got home I was looking at the invoice and noticed they snuck in 3% fee on top of the 7% in taxes! This fee was for not paying in cash. The invoice said there is a 3% charge for debit or credit. This was an extra $20.46 that they did not tell me about. If I had known this, I would have paid cash. I was so excited about my new guitar I didn’t check the invoice before leaving. Plus, who does that! It reminds me of sleazy car dealership tactics to pad their profit hoping you don’t notice. It really surprised me they get away with this in such a small town. I will be going to Couer d’Alene for my guitar needs now. And like another post said, the vibe there is not good.
Met with a deaf, unfriendly, inhospitable musician. Prices are not marked and not open to add to the local music scene. Go elsewhere imo.
Make sure dad is there before going in, they can’t take are debit or credit card unless daddy is there. Went in twice with no luck, this is why people shop on the internet, ugh so annoyed
9. BackBeat Drum Shop
Address: 2110 Browning Way, Sandpoint, ID 83864 , Priest River , Idaho , United States
Great drum- / percussion-focused shop in Sandpoint. I’ve found everything I need here, from shells and heads to thrones, stands, sticks, snare wires, etc.
Also taking lessons with Chris. I feel like I’m learning drums the *right* way, methodically and comprehensively. He’s thoughtfully adapted my lessons around my goals. I’m having more fun and playing more confidently – in a shorter amount of time – than I expected.
Great instruments, teacher, and leadership
10. Lone Wolf Distributors
Address: 106 Shannon Ln, Priest River, ID 83856 , Priest River , Idaho , United States
I recently purchased a caliber change barrel from Lone Wolf Distributors. I was really impressed by the Customer Service Rep in his knowledge of their products. I’m Old School and it had been several years since I had shot any firearms. He was very patient and polite, especially with me because I like to ask a lot of questions! The barrel that I received was a masterpiece of machining. It fit properly and I had no issues while shooting with it.
Great Product, Great People to deal with and Lone Wolf has gained a Loyal Customer because of this!! Chief Dennis Bassinger-Retired
Best people to deal with very nice.
Some of the best customer service I’ve came across in this industry! Ran into a small snag with a part and within a week a new one was sent out and received. 5/5 THANKS AGAIN GUYS
3 stars for the work they did complete.
Minus 1 star for not completing all the work I asked them to complete.
Minus 1 star for the lack of communication.
Now that I’ve received my slide back, I’m changing my review from 1 star to 4 stars based upon my total experience: Great detailed laser etching work done by the folks at Lone Wolf for a very reasonable price to help me honor a fallen Warrior on this Glock 34 US Army commemorative model. I’d have given them 5 stars if someone would just have told me the situation about it likely taking a month+ from day one. Well worth the extra wait. Beautiful work! A hero remembered never dies……RLTW! AATW! DOL!
I got a slide that came discolored/rusted but I just got it cerakote a different color. Works perfectly, would have gave them 5 stars.
Ordered a TWFF about two weeks ago, after a week and no shipment I called and was directed to their online chat customer service. I gave the agent my order number and was told that it would either ship that day (Friday) or the following Monday. On Wednesday after not getting a shipment notice I contacted customer service through chat again. This time they “checked with their boss” and it came back that the item was now back ordered and possibly wouldn’t ship for weeks due to Corona delays. Now on the website it comes up as back-ordered, had that been the case when I ordered it I would have gone with someone else. Keeping track of inventory is beginner level business. Possibly a great product but for the waste of time and poor customer service I wouldn’t recommend them. Had they been proactive and let me know hey we made a mistake this was back-ordered, what can we do I would have felt differently. I doubt it matters.
It took them 2 months to tell me that my order couldn’t be fulfilled .
Unfortunately after a couple purchase the one time I have to contact customer service for a exchange after a month sending emails and leaving voicemails I haven’t received any answer. I wouldn’t ever buy anything from them. By far the worst customer service.
11. 57 Blends
Address: 866 ID-57, Priest River, ID 83856 , Priest River , Idaho , United States
Awesome family business. We have stopped in here twice over the years. Huckleberry pies and great gifts and clothes.
Every time I’m in priest river I stop by this place. Great food and drinks. The staff is always friendly.
Great service! I love the açaí bowls and the huckleberry milkshake!
We use to stop here but these Huckleberries shakes have gone from purple to pink to white. You can’t taste huckleberry anymore, and now it’s got banana and strawberry. Now it’s back to purple, and I’m not enjoying the new flavor. These were great when they were made in the store years prior.
12. NW Music
Address: 6055 N Sunshine St, Coeur d’Alene, ID 83815 , Priest River , Idaho , United States
Absolutely love this place!! Always helpful and will fill yer head full of knowledge!
great staff here. They allways treat me and everyone. Great. Guitar center needs some lessons from these guys IMO I come in check out gear and always have the very best experience here. Plan on buying some gear from them soon. Thanks for your great additude and service I will always come to your store for strings picks amps and. If they don’t have it they can prob still hook you up. With a great deal.
ben was very knowledgable and helpful with finding the perfect guitar for our son. highly recommend!
Very helpful in finding items for your instruments. The instruction is top drawer.
4 stars because they do have a great selection, prices are fair, and the store is very clean and organized. The staff at first seemed helpful but then seemed impatient, as I was asked if I was ready to check out while I was still looking at guitars with an item in my hand. Caught me off guard as I felt rushed after only being in the store a couple minutes and wasn’t near the register. Other than that, they have a great selection of beautiful guitars and quality gear.
I came in a week ago to look around before I bought anything the people were nice and friendly and when I came back today I was ignored and treated like I didn’t exist so instead of buying a electric guitar and bundle you guys get this review and to the 4-5 people working there at the time it’s beyond rude to ignore someone then try to say something as there are leaving I felt discriminated against this was a first.
Edit
What a joke he didn’t say anything don’t try lying and make it seem like a misunderstanding. I wasn’t alone, so instead of lying and blaming me, look at your employees and try to figure out why they didn’t greet me or ask if I needed help.
The employees are great but the management could use a lot of work. Basing this review on prior poor experience with the management ONLY.
One star is too many. I realized after opening the package that I accidentally bought 12-string guitar strings. When I tried to exchange them for the more suitable 6 strings, I was told that once they were open, the sale is final. Speaking of final, that was my last purchase at this store.
Tony Cox
PS– Having no use for the strings, I donated them to the store.
13. Old Town Pawn Shop
Address: 301 E 3rd St N, Oldtown, ID 83822 , Priest River , Idaho , United States
Harry and Celeste are the nicest people you could ever hope to do business with. They are so helpful and honest. I had started to wonder if there were still honest people in the pawn business before I met them. They not only helped me out with a loan at a difficult time but then later helped me find the right automobile when I needed to. They truly are the greatest!!!! Stop by and see them, honest pawn dealers are hard to find!!!!!
Great folks running the shop. Very fair loan price amounts. Will def use them again. Also bought a new knife for a Christmas gift from them. Great prices!
Harry and Celest are the nicest people in the county! Last year Harry even plowed my ex-husbands drive way as a neighborly jesture so he could get out to the store in his wheel chair. What brotherly love he shows. Thanks Harry & Celest for being there for us all.
Old school small town pawnshop. Good vibe. Small retail space.
The older lady running the shop is a haggler for sure, bought a Norman Rockwell reprint that was pretty worn for more than it was worth. Items are a little expensive compared to other bigger city pawn shops in the area. Didn’t have a lot of items for sale either, mostly DVDs, CDs, 45’s and LPs, and some older powered and hand tools.
Beware of the big dog, he’s pretty protective and loud.
Nice and friendly pawn shop
The owners are amazing people and are always willing to help you out when you go in there.
Lady was very rude and not willing to bargain at all. Sold me a poster that’s worth 5$ and was in terrible condition. Wouldn’t take a penny less than 15$. Stingy. The dog barked and growled at us the whole time and it smelled rank in there. Wouldn’t bring kids in, I was a little scared myself. Honestly a really unpleasant experience all around, truly wish I had something more positive to say. Won’t be going back there, ever.
14. Sean Maclean
Address: 7052 Deer Valley Rd, Newport, WA 99156 , Priest River , Idaho , United States
The staff is wonderful. Miss Sarah is a treasure! We have attended three sessions of Little Mozarts, and have had so much fun.
Amazing child focused program that allows our youth in rural North Idaho the opportunity to experience the arts. Keely Gray and Maistro John Fitzgerald deserve extra accolades for their work and positivity.
The Music Conservatory in Sandpoint is such a gift to our community! Thank you for all you do!
16. Priest River Recreation Area
Address: US-2, Priest River, ID 83856 , Priest River , Idaho , United States
The Mudhole was great. The facilities are great. Hot showers, kids recreation playground, beach that is awesome for the whole family. $20 a night without a senior card. If you’re a disabled veteran you can get that card for free for a lifetime and go alover the United States.
Great place to come and cool off in the water. Nice boat ramp and grassy area. Dogs not welcome at beach. but went to other side of ramp where other people had dogs. Clean place.
Great camping spot along there river. Facility is nice with clean restrooms, water and a dump. Sites are late and quite private. The only two negatives are you are unable to use water flush at the dump and a bit noisy next to the highway, if that bothers you.
Clean, always manicured grounds, hot showers for a quarter, clean beach
Camp host does a horrible job of taking care of the public restroom was there in the area for 3 days was never any toilet paper there and dirty. And it was not even a holiday. Been going there to visit over 20 years never been that bad.
Fun for the kids but the attendants suck made us remove a sunshade from the beach because they said it’s a tent absolutely ridiculous !!
….never ending drive by babysitter attendant (who doesnt know his job…yet???) , & an absurd line of questioning from the worst park ranger ( attempting to catch somebody lying)And also it would be advisable to turn off your HIGH BEAMs and considerate to …..keep moving ……as you do your rounds. Was this a jail term? Did ANYOne enjoy themselves? Did anyone do anything wrong? Or to deserve such poor customer service .
17. Priest River Kings
