Not sure about the negative reviews..my experience was positive. Traded up from a cheap guitar to a better one. The gentleman was extremely helpful to me.

Rude service. I called to ask about lessons. I asked about a certain type of lesson and he said we don’t offer that and before I could even ask anything else he hung up! Rude! That wasn’t the only type of lesson I was looking for.
I have gone in there 4 times in the last six weeks. Recently, I took up the trumpet again after being away from the instrument for 30 years. I bought myself a student model that has worked well these last few months but now I am looking to upgrade my trumpet from the student model to a King Silver Flair 2055t. As I stated above, I have gone into this establishment several times, explained what I was looking for and was told someone would call. Nobody ever has. With customer service like this, I find it to be simply amazing that they are still in business. The only reason I gave them one star is because I can’t give them zero.

You say that you have tried to call me but yet there are no messages on my phone. I will not contact you again and I certainly will not ever be back in your store.
I walked in and I had to say hi to them because the two men standing there just stared at me without saying anything. I got a weird vibe from this place. Definitely not stepping foot in this store again.
I purchased a guitar advertised on Facebook as a 1/2 size. When I picked it up and brought it home, an hour later, one of the guitar strings broke as we were tuning it. I called Wise Music, highly recommended by our school’s music teacher. The associate said to bring our guitar down and they would get us where we needed to be.
It turned out the guitar I purchased off of Facebook was a full size. While the associate was restringing the guitar, we took a look around and spoke to another associate about their great stock of guitars. He was so helpful with size, quality and gave such amazing customer service that I purchased a second guitar (a 1/2 size.) After purchasing, the owner was gracious and was very appreciative of our business.
Now we have two Cordoba guitars – one to use now and one to grow into.
We are now looking for a violin. Guess where I will be going? Super happy we found Wise Music! If I could give them 10 stars, I would.

I have been going to Wise Music for 20+ years. Pete is a great person to deal with, runs an amazing business and you can count on him to be honest. The on staff luthier is trustworthy and performs great repairs. If you need music gear this is the local place to go.

Wise music? More like Wises strat store!!!! Come on Pete! People would love to see a bit more versatile starter guitars, and not copy+paste strats, you gotta pull the curtain back in a way that makes sense so that people can be more intrigued with guitars and have them be more appealing to those who want to pick up guitar, overall World class store!

Went to Wise Music about a month ago
Pretty good inventory but the people working there don’t know much about their products. Very difficult to choose new strings kid behind the counter didn’t know what I was talking about
I decided to go to Music 123 across town

Visited the store as they are a registered dealer if Teton guitars which I wanted to play. But they had none in stock to try. I was looking for all solid wood guitars. I found a Tagima that was priced like it would be all solid wood. Asked a member of the staff about it. They didn’t know it’s specifications and it was labeled incorrectly so I couldn’t find it on line. After I left the store I found the guitar on line with a slightly different numbering. Anyway I may have been interested but the sales advice was not supportive.
Sad place. Seems like they’re a bad store on purpose as they don’t have immediate competition close by.
As others have said, might as well go to Guitar Center now.
