Great customer service! We dealt with Lexi who was very informative and helpful! We are leasing a Tenor Saxophone.
I have no words to describe how great the service is at Cadence! This family-owned company helped my family during a tough time. They are so generous and did not hesitate to make us feel like part of the music-loving family. If you were thinking of purchasing an instrument or looking for a loved one, do not hesitate to come to Cadence. This company is not just a business, it’s family. They made us feel as though compassion still exists. Because of them, our loved ones are able to continue to play for the glory of God! 10/10!!
Best music store ever period
They had what we were looking for and easy parking. I found the customer service average; clerks on duty seemed less than motivated to help.
I broke a clarinet and without a problem the next day Cadence Music picked it up and fixed it very fast about 4 days and while it was being fixed I got a loner…GREAT EXPERIENCE
I will say they have made an extrodianary effort to correct the issues we had. They have a fair rent to own program. The only reason I am rating 4 stars is because it did take some time. Overall make sure you are very clear what you want and what you will get
The owner is extremely rude and the employees are incompetent. I usually go to Mostly Music in North Fort Myers because the owner is nicer and knowledgeable about all instruments. he is not just out to make a quick buck by ripping off students. I am going to try First note in the Cape next because I heard, from a music teacher, they are less expensive and more honest than Cadence.
Be Very careful with this company. They charged me for a Rental on a snare drum that i never saw or even asked for. They said they delivered the drum to a Middle school for my son and the school knew nothing about a drum. Cadence then sent me to collections for $800.00, I found out about the drum from the collection company. FRAUD
I had my oboe fixed there about a month ago and when I got it back it was still broken and it cost $150 originally for them to do nothing to it, but on the bright side they polished the keys so then it made it look like they actually fixed my instrument
2. Coral Sky Music
Address: 1059 NE Pine Island Rd #3, Cape Coral, FL 33909 , Punta Rassa , Florida , United States
Top of the line best place I’ve been to, the guy that runs the place actually cares about his customers and their progress in music. Best place in the cape no doubt.
Stopped by on a whim, Frank is great and I love the PRS he sold me. 5 Stars for sure.
Got what I needed for cheap and the guy the runs the store is very kind.
Great little place with knowledgeable staff. CHEAPEST GUITAR STRINGS I’VE FOUND IN TOWN! Not a lot in stock, but they will order in.
Stopped in today to check this place out only to find a ‘We Fear COVID’ notice on the door. LOSERS!! Can’t believe people in the music industry act this way!!
Drove all the way to the store and closed at noon on a Friday.
If you’re looking for something fun to do while on Sanibel or Captiva, check out Sanibel legend Danny Morgan at Trader’s. He plays a variety of songs and keeps everyone entertained. Always a fun time with Danny!
Danny and Amy are a great team. I am positive you will be entertained and blessed by the work they do
6. Mr Music, Inc.
Address: 12951 Metro Pkwy #3, Fort Myers, FL 33966 , Punta Rassa , Florida , United States
We have been using their services and classes for over 4 years. Recommend to anyone interested in learning music.
I found the staff very courteous and friendly. I enjoyed every minute of my stay while I was getting piano lesson.
Good service and friendly staff! They helped my guitar sound clearer.
I took music lessons here for a while. Everyone inside was really nice and the instructor was really knowledgeable.
I didn’t like that I was being pressured to pre pay for continued lessons even though I couldn’t with my work schedule. When I told them I couldn’t schedule anything further until a week of two, the guy started telling me i would lose my spot and there would be nothing he could do.
Overall, not a bad experience, just really put a damper on it.
Plenty of parking , decent customer service, good selections of instruments , prices not that good, sales rep tried to push sales instead of suggestions.
Came to Ft Myers for an 8 day vacation – My brother has lived in Lee County for 30+ yrs & I have a winter home in Cape Coral. I Researched online for a local music store that would rent an acoustic guitar. (( I just started learning to play the guitar a year ago at age 58 and I thought it’d be nice to do some practicing while in Fla.)) All indications were that Mr Music was the place to go. My brother was going to rent it as web site states they only rent to Lee County residents. They (Mr Music) seemed unprepared for someone coming in off the street wanting to rent an acoustic guitar. The young man that was on duty at the store was Very Nice and I felt bad for him after he got on the phone with someone who told him that I would have to come back several hours later that afternoon (I had plans and late afternoon traffic in Lee County is crazy ) or I could come back 2 days later. I could tell he was embarrassed and as said earlier I felt bad for him. Needless to say, I left w\out a rental guitar. Wm. Griffin \ Lexington Ky.
Made a HUGE mistake purchasing a digital piano from Mr Music, Inc – Fort Myers. I wanted to support a small local business and I did something I don’t usually do and purchased it without looking the product up online. I figured I would be paying a little more by not buying from a big box store but turns out I paid over DOUBLE!! And the owner is very firm on the no return policy. Do NOT make the same mistake I did. I take responsibility for my lack of research but am disappointed that this small business is ripping people off so bad.
Carl says he’s “reactionary” teacher (no lesson plans). Be prepared to tell the teacher what you need to learn??? 6 lessons and what I learned is how good Carl can play guitar and that it’s a really difficult instrument to learn. What a POS! Dave (the owner) is okay.
Can’t give zero stars. If you feel like you need to form your own opinion that’s fine. But I can promise you that I never write bad reviews. Take it or leave it.
I loved TinGle, she is amazing and sure knows how to make it fun.
One child learns drums and other learns piano. We got very lucky to have both kids start at same day and time. The lesson is private one on one. In terms of scheduling, they will work with your schedule. Make-up classes are available on weekends as group lesson.
My daughter has played piano for almost two years and started at sliverlake music conservatory which is a great place as well then left to take classes thru her middle school, after the middle school classes ended we considered returning to silverlake…
9. Tech-Tronics
Address: 4224 Fowler St, Fort Myers, FL 33901 , Punta Rassa , Florida , United States
I do a wash, dry, fold service for them. Happy with my service. Terry’s Laundry Service LLC
This service is a pick up, drop off at $1.25 per pound.
Next day delivery on orders of this sort.
Best ever, they know there product an top of the line gear.. I recommend for any concert, show, party or event..
In the industry we know Alex is the best. I don’t do stage shows but he’s got everything and he still can accommodate my silly radio show needs. Guitar Center is a hundred yards away don’t do that stop to see Alex first
This business it’s been here for years. It’s a good option if you need some party equipment rental.
So far so good
Very good services
10. Total Music Source
Address: 901 East Industrial Circle #10, Cape Coral, FL 33909 , Punta Rassa , Florida , United States
An Excellent Family Owned Business that Truly cares for each and every customer regardless of a purchase. Massive inventory- Great prices, and exceptional customer service. Being a 20 Year Professional Musician that has worked in many retail music stores, and visited literally 100’s all over the country, Can honestly say this place is what EVERY music store should be.
Its is the place to be for your musical needs, great staff, as well as great deals you can not find anywhere else in Southwest Florida.. Its not your typical Guitar Center or your higher end music store, you are welcome with the best customer service and you wont leave the store without a smile… Come check out the showroom and meet the staff who make it happen and let us be the gateway to your musical needs..
The tech there has great prices. Especially compared to guitar center. They have a lot of inventory. The pics here dont do it justice. Had a good 15min conversation with the guy at the desk and they are very nice there and will just shoot the breeze with you without jamming a sales pitch down your throat. Wish i found this place sooner. Check it out. You wont be disappointed.
Wanted to update this since I just recently went back since they moved lovations. This shop and the staff are amazing. I went in to pick up a guitar for my girlfriend and they are the only store around that had it. The staff is very friendly and they do not pressure you into anything. I ended up getting myself a guitar as well as they have a good selection of esp Ltd’s which I like. They threw I’m a couple cases with my purchase. This is my new go-to store. Thanks Total Music Source!
Pretty unhelpful on the phone, like I was bothering him at his own job. Would be great if some of these local music stores would have hours outside of a standard job and weekend hours to support all the local musicians.
Just wow! I ordered a $200 guitar off the website, never received package (most likely stolen or lost), per their customer service the package was delivered, but I’m biting the bullet because their exact words, “well someone would be out the money”. Um, doesn’t companies usually have insurance on items that are shipped, especially a $200 item????? So now, my fiance doesn’t have his Christmas present and I’m out that money. That’s cool!
They sent me a different banjo than I ordered the one they sent me was $30 cheaper I could have bought it anywhere and they refused to give me a creditor answer my emails be careful when buying from the store
11. Guitar Center
Address: 4440 Fowler St, Fort Myers, FL 33901 , Punta Rassa , Florida , United States
Nick was awesome he helped my wife on her birthday to set up for her new studio thank you nick & guitar center.
Ok
Good supply of instruments but to crowded in this time of covid transmission.
I love Guitar Center. I go there sometimes on my lunch break just to look at the wall of guitars. Everyone there is cool and helpful. I’ve purchased a guitar and mandolin from this store on separate occasions and both were great experiences.
Needed a larger louder amp for gigs. Took my G & L telecaster to this store to try different amps. You would think when a guy in his 60’s brings in his own guitar to test amps that a sales person would pay attention. Instead a 14 year old comes in, picks up a demo guitar and plugs into a huge used amp and blasts away for 45 minutes.
Being unable to hear a single note I was playing I finally gave up. As I walked past the young man I asked if he was going to buy the guitar or the amp. His response was that he could not afford either.
As a new member in a old timers rock band I have since made 3 major purchases, all from competitors of this chain.
Just called to ask about what kind of guitar amps they had in stock and i was told ” we only have three employees and we are too busy for that. And i should just order online” call me old school but i would prefer to try something before i drop $500. I live over an hour away from this store and all i wanted to know was if they had anything in my price range. This stores customer service has really gone down hill the last few years.
I don’t write reviews of online merchants (I am not dealing with a particular store), but I guess its time to make an exception. I placed an order for a Taylor guitar 12 days ago, but it still hasn’t shipped. I have received no communications, and when I have called and emailed, I receive only vague and confusing responses that they “don’t know why” but will take care of it. Yet nothing changes. The item is not backordered, and payment was made and received at the time of order. The lack of even minimal communication as to status is really poor. This was my first time using Guitar Center – by comparison, my experiences with Sweetwater and others have been much, much better. Having made a substantial purchase, you would think they would have the courtesy to at least tell me what is going on. Sadly, it appears that I may
have to dispute the charge with my credit card company and order the guitar elsewhere. I hope that my experience has been the exception and that if you choose to do business with them, they treat you like a valued customer.
12. Educators Music
Address: 110 NE 2nd Pl, Cape Coral, FL 33909 , Punta Rassa , Florida , United States
We went to open mike night at the Cafe attached to Educators Music. We listened to six excellent local artists. Awesome evening!
Small, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Owner is very helpful. Nice selection and reasonably priced of instruments.
EM is the real deal!!! I bought my first guitar and amp from Educators Music in May of 2019 – Chris D. was super helpful. I take lessons every week from Tim – awesome instructor. I can’t say enough good things about Educators Music….and I can now play Hair Metal that my wife recognizes and sings to! It’s never too late to start playing guitar.
Decades old institution in SWFL. Quality teaching for various musical paths and a modest store with competitive pricing. Fun laid back cafe with live music rounds out the experience of this gem in cape coral!
I don’t recommend this music store. The woman working couldn’t find our violin case and blamed us for not calling ahead. Very inconvenient as we have to make another trip to retrieve it.
What can I say about this place ? I called told them I needed my tone pot replaced and 3 way switch they told me it would be about 3 days if they didn’t have to order the parts and about a week if they did have to order the parts.
So after a week went by I called to check on the status and the woman told me it wasn’t ready yet and that it hadn’t even been looked at yet that it would be at least 3 weeks before it was done.
I told her the woman I originally talked to said 3 days to a week she then told me that noone told me that and they wouldn’t tell me that because repairs were at least 3 weeks out even though my 14 y/o daughter was standing right there with me and heard the same conversation.. these people are liars to say the least they will tell you whatever you want to hear to get you in the door..
I have since taken the guitar to guitar center and they fixed it while I waited 45 mins later the guitar was done and I was happy !
STAY FAR AWAY FROM EDUCATORS THEY ARE A BUNCH OF LIARS !!
At first I thought it was a decent little store. It does not have much of a selection, but it had guitar strings, which is what I needed at the time… then I tried talking to the sales person. He wasn’t much help, and seemed like he had better things to do.
It got worse when I was talking with the owner. I was trying to make small talk with him, but he was a bit standoffish. He Became rude when I was telling him that it was an interesting little place, but I’d come back I like it. After that he acted like I should just buy the strings and get out… which is what I did.
After that experience I have decided that I will not be buying anything from them.
13. WD Guitar Shop
Address: 17570 N Tamiami Trail #1, North Fort Myers, FL 33903 , Punta Rassa , Florida , United States
Great prices, great place. The owner is a sweetheart. They make all my custom pick guards. They have the best prices when you come in to shop, you get a discount for in store purchases. I highly recommend them.
Hurry down to Earth’s atmosphere extremely family oriented great place
It’s small…nice place to start.
Store front of WD is relatively small. But shop has a lot of parts in the back of facility. It helps if you have an idea of what you specifically need before arriving. Small but mighty…. huge inventory in the back room.
This is a cool local guitar shop I found on vacation. It is small on square footage, but big on selection. Very reasonably priced and brilliantly displayed. Lots of beautiful instruments and supplies. Definitely worth a stop in, if you’re a guitarist.
Very small shop and little selection. The staff really made no attempt to interact with me even though I was the only in there.
Your sign said you were open at 10:00 .. I waited until 10:10 and left, not before watching two additional customers leave during that 10 min. interval. Probably won’t be stopping in any time soon.
So I’m on the ‘net’ looking for Grover machine heads… Well, I found the most expensive ones here!! Now I know everyone likes to make a buck and have a profitable business, and I certainly don’t have a problem with that! But the prices here are $20.00 or more a set than say Stewmac or other on-line retailers. And no…. WD Music price doesn’t include “free” shipping! So my take on WD Music? What a joke, take your business elsewhere and save a few hard earned dollars in the process! These guys must think musicians are either ignorant, foolish, or have plenty of disposable income! Obviously there are better and more affordable options and choices that WD Music!
The gallery is well organized and gives good visibility to the paintings. I have exhibited here before and I’m happy with the turnout that it brings to the gallery.
Purchased a print by Nancy Wilson
Small but very nice and extremely reasonable prices art.
Geocaching adventure log brought me here. Couldn’t go in for a tour due to being closed. But got the answer to my question. The grounds well maintained.
16. Jay & Kay’s Organ & Piano Co.
Address: 1400 Colonial Blvd Ste 1B, Fort Myers, FL 33907 , Punta Rassa , Florida , United States
Purchased a beautiful used Kawai piano from Jay. Price was great as well as the service. We delayed the delivery by 6 months as our house wasn’t ready and Jay had no issue with that at all nor did he charge us for storage. He always answered our calls and was very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend and go back again if I needed a different piano.
Good people. Knowledgeable. Family operation. Competitive pricing. Kind & helpful.
That does it for me. Highly recommended!
I spoke to Jay for the first time today on the phone after my husband placed an order for our daughter’s birthday present a couple of months ago. He blew me away with his good-hearted initiative. Our order has been delayed due to the current worldwide logistic challenge. Jay was very thoughtful and generous to lend us a piano from his studio so that our daughter will have it on her birthday. I was speechless… Although we didn’t end up taking the offer, still his action was remarkably kind and it speak to the type of person and store owner that he is.
Friendly and knowledgeable … good experience!
Shopping at Jay and Kay’s is always a pleasure.
Great people very helpful highly recommended
I’m new to the area being only 4 years in Cape Coral. While our 1st home we built didn’t have room for a Piano. I made sure that our 2nd home we are building now does. With all the shortages of product inventory I decided to buy a Piano now. Being a former business owner I try to buy everything from local companies. I called Jay & Kay by phone I explained exactly what I’ve told you above. I said to Jay I’m picking up a sandwich from Parkway subs and illl be there in 20 minutes. Upon my arrival I entered the store. No greetings. I walked around for about 25 minutes. No one ever approached us. I took a card off their desk and wrote a note. Left my phone number. No one has ever called me.back. That was on 07/26/2021. Not sure why Jay invited us to his showroom with detailed instructions of their location. Waste of time. I drove down to Piano Distributors and then to Nicks Pianos. I was greeted very well by Anthony and Nick at each location. Then I drive to Dave’s Piano’s Tamps area again another professional very knowledgeable as well. I compared the 3. I made my selection and place a deposit on the 60k piano
Don’t bother going to Jay & Kay they don’t need to waste your time
Sadly to say I wanted to buy in my local neighborhood. Support the local businesses after the Covid 19 destruction.
I personally left their business card on the counter and had wrote a note on the back asking them to call me with my phone number on it. Crickets !!!
17. Cape Coral School of Music
Address: 643 Cape Coral Pkwy E #E, Cape Coral, FL 33904 , Punta Rassa , Florida , United States
Everyone here is super friendly and helpful. I couldn’t be happier with the experience my son has had so far
We love the Cape Coral School of Music. The staff is passionate, patient and encouraging. Our son has been taking piano lessons with Ms. Jennifer for almost a year now. We wouldn’t want to go anywhere else. I highly recommend this school.
Me and my girls absolutely adore this place! They are learning so much and always come out of their lessons excited to tell me about what they learned that week. They both adore their teachers. Celina is taking piano with miss Belle and says “she is the best teacher and the most fun ever” and Destiny is currently working with miss Collete on her voice and says she is learning so much from her with new exercises all the time! The manager there makes us feel like family and is always there to make the girls smile and cheer them on. They love that they get recognized when the progress with certicates and prizes and they have goals/performances to look forward to!
18. 239 Class Smoke & Vape
Address: 20351 Summerlin Rd Suite #104, Fort Myers, FL 33908 , Punta Rassa , Florida , United States
A gem of a shop. I have such fond memories of buying a gold seahorse. Carefully weighed on gold scales. I hope it never changes.
Awesome loved the place!
Nice place to get souvenirs.
Tuttle’s gift shop is always an interesting stop when visiting. Unique gifts that you probably won’t find elsewhere and the old rock n’ roll vibe that greets you at the door. At the East end near Lighthouse Cafe.
Over priced for what they are selling. They have a big variety of gifts but the music and speaker for the restaurant next door are way too loud. Really busy due to the location so it’s kind of hard to look at things.
Great to have local businesses open again. Friendly staff.
Owner can be a real treat. Grumpy old man syndrome. “Get off my lawn” = translates to buy or leave. Took all of our souvenir shopping to the store on the right (EMOcean beachwear) of Lighthouse restaurant. Much nicer service and treatment of their customers.
I was browsing around while on vacation, initially I just notice the same merchandise triple the prices of the other tourist stores on the island. Not that that would be a plausible reason for a 1 star rating, but the owner/employee was rude and uninviting. Save your money by going to a different shop and get better costumer service as well.
NOT KID FRIENDLY. My son was yelled at in this store when he tried to show me an alligator head. He had wanted to buy one the whole trip. The old shop employee said “you can’t take that back there sir!” I have never heard such disrespect to a child before. Absolutely nasty. Our family will NEVER be back.
