This store is a hidden gem in the area! The amount of gear in this place is awesome. Highly recommend visiting!
Helpful staff. Pretty decent selection. Since the instruments are used, I am sure the selection is kind of dependent on what is being traded in, so the variety probably moves around a bit.
Very helpful staff and nice selection
Experience wasn’t so pleasant the 1 times I visited ugh especially October 1 2020 after I spent 465 bucks for the lady in the store to be rude to meUgh
While I haven’t been @ this store, I’ve bought from a (closed) one in Lakeland and found good deals on parts for my drum stands. Bass pedal prices are good also I noticed. I’m still looking for the” holy grail” of drums. A SONOR HLD 590.
Nice price’s
Huge store full of stuff nobody wanted, staff, management, & owners are clueless. They care more about policies than customer satisfaction or sales. Save you time & money & either shop Amazon or one of the many other stores in the area
I bought a brand new student violin a few weeks ago. The store and staff seemed fine at the time of purchase. Preparing my daughter to start violin lessons today, I took the violin out of storage for the first time. I found that the handle was cracked (to the sellers credit, it is in a way that could have been missed by the seller). Also, the tuning pegs were very loose and don’t hold the strings taught for very long. I called the store this afternoon to discuss my options and immediately the woman (owner I believe) became defensive of her products and tried to give me many reasons of how this couldn’t be her fault. I just wanted to exchange it for another higher quality violin-I wasn’t upset at all. After she twice accused my daughter of dropping it and saying she “has no idea where its been”, rambling about their return policy being 7 days she said I had no options there because the damage that my daughter caused might make the item unsellable. What poor business etiquette. She chose to defend the sale of a $109 violin rather than her reputation and all future sales of a very musically inclined family with 4 kids. From the other comments I read it seems this store doesn’t have sales that can sustain it and they’re attitude is to get money right now, rather than create a lucrative business with a future.
Played three instruments and all three had issues. Speakers have holes on them. The employee told me he knows nothing about amps
They have no knowledge of their inventory. Selling used instruments at the brand new price. Better to buy new somewhere else at least you wont have issues or over pay. Stay away!!!!!!!

Done business here for many years. Always helpful & I find what I need for myself & my piano students.
So coming down to Florida for vacation and decided to kill some time before meeting up with some friends in lakeland, and swung by this place that popped up on a simple search on Waze maps. It was actually phenomenally close to where we were so I decided to take it over Guitar center which was about 15 minutes further down the road.
Needless to say I was not even remotely disappointed by this music store because while there were some things I would have loved to have seen such as more extended range selection and so forth, I can say without a doubt that this place was jam-packed with a lot of things that other big box stores really should carry. I was massively impressed with their selection of classical guitar strings and although it doesn’t cater to some of the really crazy specialty classical guitar strings, it carries a very nice selection for a local Mom and Pop shop. Which for those wondering, they carry about quadruple the amount of classical guitar strings that Guitar center does. They also carried the dynacore strings from D’Addario with titanium trebles which are fantastic if you need them.
They had a very good selection that is very broad and wide and the instruments appear to be very well maintained and they have a little bit of everything ranging from bandon orchestral, guitars and bases, amps, sheet music, a very nice acoustic room with some pretty cool Ortega classical guitars that sound really good. And they have a very nice setup for their repair shop although I can’t personally attest to the repair work. The staff was incredibly friendly and very helpful and was a pleasure doing business with.
Very helpful! Great store. Ive had guitar repaired by them and theyve always done a great job
Good selection, friendly and knowledgeable service.
Is a very nice place with people that is willing to help
Very nice man at counter was very nice. We just looked around.
Their sales associates have the worst customer service I’ve ever seen.
Upon entering, a bald head older male with glasses shot up to ask if I needed help (never mentioned his name). I asked about an instrument since he was the first one up. The guy was short with answers and giving a vibe that he did not want to attend me, throwing a book down back and forth. I watched another gentlemen’s with longer hair pull the same book out and explain in detail with people very nicely. I informed that guy, we were new to this experience and were recommended there by a local music teacher. The guy kept leaving me to go assist other customers, get on his phone to verify our information, stopping to call someone to ask for help and told me if I don’t provide a reference he will charge me a $200 deposit. I was forced to call a reference and put someone down on paper I did not want to. Then the guy left me to decide…
After being alone for a while, another gentlemen came to help & was a great. I explained the situation and how I was feeling. He apologized for the other guy and stated, “I’m sorry for him, that’s just his personality”. I stated to the new guy, he should know if he doesn’t want to fully assist a person and immediately ask another associate to help. He agreed. When the new guy asked the old guy if he already verified my information, he lied and told him no. That’s when I got upset and asked, why he lie like that?
Being a single small business owner for 20 years, a husband, father and grandfather I understand protocol/business. I felt discriminated by this guy & his demeanor, skepticism and unfair treatment which is a huge concern for me. We rented the D grade instrument and left …
After discussing with my wife, we found an A grade instrument and a trumpet and paid cash for them and drove 4 hours to go pick it up. Monday was Labor Day so we didn’t visit the store to return the instrument. I visited the location today to return the saxophone because my wife and I made a decision not to do business with people like RP… RP is the bald guys name I learned today…
Today, I was returning the instrument. Matt was the gentleman that was helping me today. In speaking with Matt, the bald head guy “RP” took it upon himself to continually and rudely interject into the conversation. Stating he needs to call the corporate office to verify return policy. As I was asking Matt questions for clarity, RP took it upon hisself to keep answering for Matt and give me a card when I can return the instrument. I asked RP to excuse hisself from our conversation and allow me to deal with Matt. He rudely stated, go ahead and finish with him and I will write the notes on his file.
As a State Official for 6 years, this gives me the indication that RP wants to attempt control the narrative with our story now and I’m on the defensive side of this situation. Even after being asked not to interject with my conversations, RP doesn’t seem to understand how I’m feeling at this point…
So, from RP calling corporate, I now know there is one & find myself calling the corporate office and spoke with Glen. Glen is working to make things right and once again, on another business day, apologized for the RP’s behavior!
For the guys that are picking up the scraps for RP, I’m giving a 2 Star Rating.
RP needs training on empathy, customers service & how to discern when NOT to service a customer AKA stay out of it! I hope he takes the courses to become better at what he does someday. We forgive you buddy, we just won’t ever do business with you!
Went in there to buy a drum head because Guitar Center wasn’t open yet or I’d certainly have went there instead. EVERYTIME I’m in this store I get watched and questioned like I’m going to steal something. It’s a very uncomfortable environment. No other customer was in there yet, and as soon as I walk in, they’re all stopping what they’re doing and looking at me asking if I needed help, and I said “I’m just getting a drum head…thank you.”, and I wasn’t looking for 2 minutes, and heard another employee say “everything okay over there?”….YES GEEZ!!!! Can someone take a few minutes and decide what product they want!? Just because you’re looking doesn’t mean you’re plotting a GD theft! It’s a $20 drum head! Gimme a friggin’ break! And ya know…much to their surprise…I PAID FOR IT! Guitar Center sucks too, but at least they give you freedom to comfortably browse at inventory without being asked what you’re doing. There’s no excuse for that behavior. Innocent until proven guilty….not in that place, it’s guilty until they see otherwise. From now on, I’ll wait for Guitar Center to open. I won’t spend another dime in Carlton until they get the FBI…I mean, their employees under control…

Brian and Grant were so helpful and friendly. It was a very good experience.
Good store, veriety of choices, nice people, very helpful personal, worth of travel to buy what you need.
Brian went out out of his way to help me, he let me used the guitar i wanted to check out my amp i am retired instructor from Guitar center, i know your sales people I watch them grow up and help them with there playing many years ago. I ran every mom and pop music store in Sarasota and bradenton.
This is a great store but did violate PIPA Laws. I cannot wear a face mask due to medical reasons and I wasn’t planning on being near anyone. However, I was denied access to the store. So, if you’re chlostrophobic or can’t wear a mask due to personal medical reasons, don’t waste your time going here!
The GM, Scott, was very friendly and helpful. Thanks!
Poor inventory. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable – at least the one individual I spoke with was. He was setting up a guitar when I asked him for assistance. Very nice. Compared to other Sam Ash stores – this one is just ok. I wish they had higher end merchandise. I’ve recently opted to order online then store purchases these days simply for this same reason.
Everytime i go there its always a great experience with the salesperson but yesterday two salesperson just standing in their counter but no one is trying to ask what we are looking for they are not busy in the morning too. So anyway only yesterday december 24th is a bad experience but i bought what we wanted.
Okay gracias
Prepare to be hovered over.

Great service!!! Messaged them yesterday with a question, and they are taking care of it today.
Good people there a lot of talent teachers
Ms. Susan is a lovely person and teacher. Excellent place for music lessons or instruments.
They offer almost any kind of music lessons
you want. Their supplies are a little expensive but I figure its because its located in a small town.
Good place!!
I left two clarinets and a flute at this store on consignment. I called occasionally to check on them and reduced the price. When I went to pick them up, parts were missing. I didn’t realize until I got home.
Amazing. Super business oriented. Professional. Music Business Knowledgeable. You get what you pay for! Check them out!
Five stars is not enough
Bravo!
Amazing studio. Wonderful experience. Very business oriented. The engineer was very helpful and patient with the work I was doing. He gave great advice and was really hands on and involved. Honestly one of my best studio experiences .I will definitely be back.

Great music store with friendly staff. Can order anything you might need. Cheaper than ordering yourself and paying shipping! Support a local business!
‘Guitar Johnny’ Morrison rebuilt an old Strat for me. He did an excellent job. I couldn’t be happier with the result.
Friendly staff and great prices!
Friendly service and competitive prices
I like this music store. I think it’s the only good one in Saint Augustine. The renovation also makes it a lot easier to get around in.
Small place but good peoples
Over Priced!!!
Told me on phone they could restring my guitar while I waited. Got there and they said the guitar would have to be left and they would call when it was done.
Bought the strings and did it myself. On
Would be nice if they opened on time. Times on door say they open at 11am. Been waiting 15 min and still not open. Frustrating!

Sherry is amazing! She pays attention to each student of hers. She has a set of house rules and guidelines, so you better abide by them! Haha. But we very much enjoyed our first class with her and will be continuing with more. She has an impressive background. Def come work with Sherry! You won’t regret it.
I love my instructor. I’ve been taking guitar lessons for over a year with her. She is amazing and is very patient with me. I started learning guitar as an adult. I tried learning by myself initially but realized I needed help. I’ve made great progress since starting lessons. I highly recommend them.
John is absolutely amazing! He’s been working with my daughter for a little over a year. We have seen great improvements and she enjoys working with him. She is now in advanced band at school playing the flute! He’s extremely thoughtful and truly cares about his students.
