My kids thought Jimmy at the register was awesome. Friendly service go check out Guitar Center for all your guitar needs here in the Coachella Valley…
Incredible selection and the staff is superb.
Each employee asking if you need help in a hostile way will get you no sales.
They need new management and better training.
A smile will get you very far in life and may help you keep your teeth if your speaking to the wrong person
Overall not a bad store. But it is hit or miss on the vibe. Musicians don’t like to be hounded especially when they are trying to focus.
Change your sales tactics and your profits will increase. Don’t and I see the store closing in 2 or 3 years. Maybe even sooner.
It is really nice to have a Guitar Center in the area.Having been a GC manager of the old Santa Ana store, the second largest store in the chain next to Hollywood, I am used to a much larger inventory and a greater selection of used guitars and amps. This is an outlet store so the inventory is small. The company used to be more intune with the needs of the area. Because the manager no longer has the choice in ordering like I had back in the 90’s it has inventory which does not reflect the income of the area. There are a lot of older professional musicians some big names, who own business’ or are retired out in the Palm Desert area. Rancho Mirage and Indian Wells as well have some of the highest income households in the nation. There was a lack of American Gibsons and Fenders as well as PRS and good vintage guitars. The place was crowded and busy but the inventory vanished quickly. They need to stock this store since they have no competition. Musicians outlet is a dungeon with junk and high prices. Ricko-Rama is gone so there is no decent store. Don’t be afraid of stocking this store, They had no real classical guitars almost no Gretsch and only cheap jazz guitars. I asked for a Jazz guitar and the salesperson pointed to a Epiphone 335. This is not a Jazz guitar. The software was confusing in the recording area. Great microphone selection. I didn’t expect they would carry my classical guitar strings, Hannabach, but the had D’Addario Pro arte and they had the flat wound Chromes I use for guitar. Remember most of my old customers from Covina and Santa Ana live here with me. Kevin Henry who owns the Nest was one of my main clients. Dick Dale as well and everywhere I go I meat my old buddies. We all still play out here and record. We don’t tour much because most of us are tired of the road. So we stay around here and play music here in the resort towns like La Quinta and Palm Springs and all the country clubs and golf clubs.
Plenty products parking but know what you need staff quick to not help…
Employees seemed to not work as a team and we’re a mess at check out and the repair man didn’t really say anything or talk to me. All though the quality of work and guitars are fine.
The workers remind me of record store employees in the 80s….think they’re cooler then everyone else with they’re back stage passes around they’re neck lol
There’s a reason music stores are closing everywhere. Overpriced with often times jerks selling it to you.
You only did yourself in.

3. Palm Desert Piano
Address: 72171 CA-111 Suite 101, Palm Desert, CA 92260 , Rancho Mirage , California , United States
I am a professional musician. The pedal assembly on my 15-year-old digital piano suddenly broke. I visited Palm Desert Piano and met with Mark Miller. He was extremely cordial and knowledgeable, showed me several pianos he had in stock, and helped me make a decision on a new piano. Two days later Mark and Matt delivered my new piano and set it up. I was very impressed with the prompt service they gave and plan to recommend their store to my colleagues.
We were in search of a specific model Yamaha baby grand piano never expecting to find one. To our surprise, we found the exact piano in stock and ready for purchase at Palm Desert Piano. The owners were more than accommodating to ensure we were able to deliver the piano that same day in time for Christmas as a present to our Mom. They went above and beyond to make this happen. We’d recommend anyone looking for a piano to meet the wonderful people at Palm Desert Piano.
If you’re looking for a piano you have to go here. They have traditional digital and hybrid pianos. The customer service is fantastic. Very patient very knowledgeable. Extremely happy with my purchase.
If you need your guitar (acoustic or electric), bass or amps repaired or adjusted, go to Rockwell Guitar Repair. Rocky is an amazing technician and knows the smallest of details. He gives great suggestions and has decent prices for guitar repairs, adjustments or a simple re-string. Has a quick turnaround depending what is needed. Very highly recommended!
Rocky’s great, and he fixed my guitar perfectly and at a VERY reasonable price!! Will be back!!
I wouldn’t let this guy work on a cement block. There is a reason his name is rock..that’s what he uses to work on your guitars.
We happened to spot the Goodwill sign driving by. For a Sunday evening, it was clean, well lit, and busy. We would return there again; we did find some great things.
Friendly folks very helpful and informative……thank you
I’m not sure what is going on here with reviews. I work in an office and shopped for office attire. I was able to find to beautiful like new suit jackets half off color of week for about $3.50 each. Many beautiful like new dresses, skirts and dress pants.one pair of pants I tried on still had the tag $400 new! Store was clean and staff nice
Good selection of second hand clothes at a cheap price
They’ve organized everything by color instead of size. Who has the time to sort through racks of clothes and shoes they could never possibly wear? Even if you happen on something you like, it’s a slim chance it will be your size. Waste of time.
Prices are high for a second hand store.
Never any good stuff
Horrible selection and quality. You’ll see through the website link they have an online store where they sell the quality donations.
Store is messy

Excellent service, vast knowledge of music, staff very knowledgeable and day pleasant, bilingual expert in all areas of music and instruments, it’s great to see this kind of professionalism in this day and age. Thank you for your help and guidance. OHK
Great place with friendly and musically talented staff! The valley has needed a great little band shop like this!
Friendly, knowledgeable staff and excellent selection of clarinet reeds and accessories. Thank you!
We would like to thank the manager of the Discovery Shop Richard Gitmed and all his wonderful volunteers for allowing us to donate our whole house possessions to help raise money for cancer research and treatment. It was a great experience paying it forward. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us.
Best wishes
Michael and Susan Small
Very clean shop. Extremely nice staff. Great second hand store to shop at. Very nice vintage furniture, and other vintage items. Well worth the stop.
Great place to shop. Lots of bargains and discounts. Love it! Best kept secret of the whole Cochella Valley.
Great place for gently used high dollar items. Definitely not cheap.
The money for items goes to a good cause but is overpriced. Mostly clothes now
They do a big business! Massive turnover. I you stop by often once in a while you will get a great deal.
Showed up. Sign says opening soon.
The only time to buy anything from this store is when they are having their Big Sale and even then be careful. No Manager or Volunteer of the American Cancer Society should treat customers as badly as I witnessed. Perhaps if they remembered that a purchase of a item is actually a DONATION. Please stop raising the prices when the snowbirds are in Town and make the prices comparable to other non-profit stores. Many Seniors frequent this store so please stop putting items on the floor and be careful and mindful that we all just want to feel safe and appreciated as we appreciate everything you do.
Very over priced, the clothing is old and dated, I did find some decent tennis shoes, they were priced with a sticker for $14.00. But when I went up to pay the cashier told me they were priced wrong and they were $18.00, and she was rude about it. She made me feel as if I had put that sticker on the shoes. I think they should have honored the sticker price, plus they asked me to carry out a heavy TV for another customer to their car.

Best skate shop in the valley ..super chill treated like family every time i walk in …good prices and quality products …
Awesome place!
He’s such a nice man and treats people like family not costumers
Not a whole lot to offer. Very limited record selection. It’s more skateboard shop with records as a side hustle.
Very cool shop with eclectic mix of vinyl albums, some books, turntable choices and other fun things.
The collection was small but fairly eclectic. The guy at the counter (owner? was friendly). The prices were good.
I’ve heard terrible things about this place, but I went to check out the records, nothing to special, there’s new records that are a little overpriced, only because they had damage that effected the playback, I spoke to someone there explaining how even brand new records are damaged a lot of the times and he completely dismissed what I was saying, and the records I’ve purchased there prove that sadly, so much for the vinyl community right, from what I saw seems like a cool skateboard shop, but for records, Barnes & Noble has a bigger selection, and if something is damaged they honor the customer witch is surly important for a successful business I’m sure. Hope this helps!
19. Music & Arts

Very nice people, helpful with my violin repair and was able to setup classes for me.
There are young adults that works here, and they have the best customer service ever! They are very knowledgeable and helpful.
