I dropped by to look around and play some of the pianos while I was waiting for my wife to finish shopping. The staff was very friendly and inviting even though they knew I wasn’t planning on buying anything, thanks for letting me kill some time!
Great place. Teachers are top notch.
This is one of my favorite & happy places in Miami. The team – Rudy and all – are clearly experts in their craft, love music and love sharing it. They fixed 2 of my guitars – one a really tough situation – and made them better than before and totally renewed by experience with them and music. Thanks guys !!
Looked nice from the outside. But was closed at 4:45pm, before displayed and published closing hour (5pm on Saturdays as of Feb 27th 2022).
One of the worst places i have been. first time i have felt so discriminated against. i was going to buy a 26k piano but these people are horrendous. They pre judge me by the way I look that I couldn’t afford any of the pianos. extremly bad experience i walked out. ill take my business elsewhere.
On Dec. 10th. the fifth day of HanukkahI went to the store to buy a Ukelle. In the past I have bought 2 other On Dec. 10th. the 5th. day of Hanukkah I went to the music store to but myself a soprano Ukelle, having bought 2 other Ukes there. I picked up a yellow soperno Uke and took it to the desk. I asked the owner a rather tall stout man in his 6o’s to help me tune the Uke. His reply was I am to busy for that. Understanding that I suggested that someone else could get me a tuner. He looked me directly the eyes and said” PUT DOWN THE UKE AND GET OUT OF MY STORE”. I Stood there in absolute SHOOK! What did I do to cause this absurd response. Was it that I am a brown skin man with a colorful yamaka? Did he take me for a Muslim and decided to exercise his right to be a flaming bigot? I’d like to say bless him but I just can’t. There is no place for bigotry period.

Everyone was friendly and helpful. Had our sax repaired and the service was timely and cost effective
Allow me to preface this review by saying I am an ex-employee. Some time has passed since my departure, and I think I am prepared to give a detailed review with a little more intimacy than the average customer.
There is no better place in south Miami for vintage records, used gear and unique or hard to find stuff – bar none. The staff was, and still is, made up of die-hard music nerds and get just as excited as the customers do over cool records and instruments. The prices are extremely fair, and from what I’ve seen and heard, are indeed the most affordable, especially for the records and the used stuff. Guys with fat stacks or big gear buys were almost always given a nice discount.
The new instrument selection is excellent and the management makes sure to have models for all price ranges. They always made sure to ask the lower employees about their opinion on what should be in stock at the store (not just what was running low, mind you, but what the store *should* be selling).
If, for whatever reason, the store didnt have something (rare going, because the store is deceptively big), the staff would immediately set about finding out if we could get it, and if so, how fast.
I don’t think, during my entire 1½ year time at MDC, that I ever saw a customer’s phone call get missed or ignored.
They have recorders. Recorders are always in the store. If the recorders are running out, an order is immediately placed for more recorders.
The store is WELL LIT and full of people, which is a beautiful and welcome change from GC and Sam Ash which seem to be designed with silence and darkness in mind. Very cool for a planetarium, but when you want to see the true color and/or sound of an instrument, a realistic setting is of the utmost importance. As an employee, I hated the bright lights, but for customers it made everything dazzling and made sure you know exactly what the product looks like. It makes a difference!
There are some shortcomings. The parking can be intimidating but there are always empty spaces, even though it doesn’t look like it. They dont sell modern records, nor do they sell software (all kinds of studio stuff, but no software). The hours are a little tight, but if you make it inside the store then they will help you. Try as hard as I can, that’s really all I can come up with as being flaws from a customers perspective.
The best in south Miami.
Staff was really nice. Not like sharks and give you space, but are available if you have any questions.
Manager is a great guy and work with you when purchasing instruments
Very Helpful…
Instruments, gear, lessons, repairs, vinyl records- pretty good place.
Trash service. One day of repair turned into weeks and lies about being able to get my $50 back. Everything is way overpriced here anyways. Guitar centers got reasonable prices and more attention to customer service along with guarantees and honesty. Its funny how they said in that review about credit card fraud that they “dont have the means to keep client info stored” like an employee doesn’t have access to pen and paper at work and everything with receipts is logged online it has to be for tax purposes. Can the managers hire more competent people like the small few younger people they have but the older employees and upper management gives real bad vibes of contempt and snobby for no reason if you want mom n pop music stores Allegro on flagler or sam ash anything but here
Horrible costumer care. Un respectful making wait long and don’t make the work properly on time. Should respect more costumers.
got ripped off

Excellent service, fast shipping, what more could you ask for! AAA+++
These guys took great care of me, and gave me a great deal on what I needed. They were very responsive and shipped super fast. Very happy!
I have dealt with Scitscat Music since virtually its inception. The knowledge of Scott, his services and products are absolutely superb. You would be wise to do business with the company.
Not open to the public, but google maps says it is
They’ve just stollen my returned item and do not respond emails anymore.
I thought that I’m being from newegg, and they fulfilled order to this place.
Ordered an item from their website on Saturday, they sent email next day saying it’s shipped. At this point my credit card was charged. After several days there weren’t any movement on the tracking number so I contacted them to inquire. At first they said it’s shipped, after I followed up again they finally admitted it wasn’t shipped and is out of stock. When I said I should’ve been notified and asked for when they actually plan to ship it, this is their response:
“We run out of products occasionally and you were just notified. I apologize but this seems like a real problem, so we’ll go ahead and cancel your order”

The worst customer service on the planet. I called many times and no answer. When they get my call and transfer me to the desired department they kept me waiting for hours and no answer. Finally the manager had to help himself. Thanks to the manager!!
Staff was helpful and nice but seems absolutely crazy to get your temperature measured to get in the store I give 2 stars only because staff was nice & helpful but that is way over the top .sorry but seems ridiculous this is a music store not a clinic or hospital

Everything about this repair shop is on point, Albert himself is a true professional at his craft and always makes sure you are satisfied from beginning to end. He is honest and informative. Highly recommended!
This guy is awesome, I set up and repair all my guitars and amps with him! Highly recommended!
Went to see if I could get my bass jack fixed along with my neck that was badly wrapped. Albert fixed my Warwick thumb bolt on 4 string in a week. Back to playing amazing. Great customer service.
