Very clean store, not crowded and great staff. However, they seemed to not have as much inventory as other Walmarts that I’ve visited. There were no major storms coming, so there was no panic shopping. But they just didn’t have a lot of inventory.
It’s fine. It’s a run of the mill Walmart. Limited grocery options, but the cashier was a very nice and pleasant lady.

It’s was good at first. We were the only people in the store. And some lady kept following me and my mother telling us to put up our masks. She walked directly up. She was following us and harassing us the whole time we were at the store. I didn’t get her name.

Purchased a pair of Hoka’s One and was influenced by sales telling me its a 500 mile shoe. They were very comfortable and lightweight. After 5 months of light use, walking, the soles were worn to smoothe surfaces in sections. .Nick C, contacted me the next day to resolve this issue. The new shoe had a design to protect the wear of the soft cushioning. Very helpful and professional. Thank you Nick for your response and the exchange on a wide selection.
Good small shop. Staff is helpful depending on who is there. Good selection of energy gels, etc. Big selection of shoes, but not the nikes I buy. On the expensive side like any specialty store.
After having a rough experience in the location I was for lack of better words, annoyed with service. I did receive a phone call from a higher up, all matters have been resolved. The customer service has changed for the better in the store. The staff is now very knowledgeable and I do recommend giving them a try.
I went to them to get a pair of hokas. I tried them on in store but wanted a different color so I was going to order online. The staff told me that they had a special relationship and it would be better for me to order through them. I was then told it would take 3 weeks. My girlfriend ordered the same pair of shoes a week later that came in 3 days. Then three weeks passed and I called them just to be told that they did not have my order in their system and no records of my name or number. I had been charged on my credit card, so I called them back. I feel like they should have been the ones to contact me in the first place. I also was shocked that when I called there was not really ever a sincere apology and they were not proactive in helping at all. I have already gone online found the same shoes (at a discount I might add) ordered and received them all within a week.
Nice employees but they need to be more confident in their recommendations. I admit and had admitted to the sales people while there that I have a difficulty deciding what size shoe is appropriate for me ….might sound odd but it’s true- same thing with clothes, I’m not abel to decipher what fits best for me- for whatever reason. The reason I go to customer service type stores is service and expertise- expecting to pay more for just that. Allowing someone to walk outside the door with clearly a size and a half too large is really inexcusable. I went back and returned the shoes and left with again with a half size too large for my foot. If the sales people can’t guide you in the right direction what are we paying the extra cost for?

My boyfriend came in tonight, he said the place was awesome. David was really informative and knew what he was talking about. Although my boyfriend said when they were talking he felt a presence. The building is dated into the 1700s so I would assume it was someone who lived in the home many years back. He talks about it and his hairs stand up again the way they did earlier in the day. This wouldn’t stop him from returning again.
My question… is there any history on the home.? I would love to know and look into books and papers threw the town library.

Nice with some unique finds. Was my first time there and I’ll pop in occasionally. Owner is nice. Just wish the owner(s) were a little more honest.
Lots of great treasures, but owner will bully you into a purchase. Even after many “no”s the questions didn’t stop. “How much for you to take it?” “no, we’re good.” “Come on, how much?” Then was charged 5 more than agreed on.
I had this store handle an estate sale for me. Some expensive antiques we had researched were sold for a small percent of what they were worth. Research was not done on the items before the sale. In addition I never received an accounting of what they sold of our goods. They claimed they had kept a list, but after 4 requests we got nothing.

Nick helped me find everything I wanted. And it was all in stock. Not a bad deal for Black Friday. I also saved over $300.
The technical department was wonderful as always.
Needed to buy a journal today and have my account number updated. Christian was exceptional: kind, helpful, and quite personable. A real professional.
The technician in the Saybrook staples was very helpful while I was in the store asking him about if they can try to fix an iPhone that got water damaged and he answered all of my questions, and basically if your iPhone or smart phone gets water damaged, they will try to fix the phone for you, and if it starts to work and it gets fixed the charge is $69.99 for just an iPhone and if they can’t get it to work there isn’t any charge incurred. Also, they recommend within 24 hours to bring in the iPhone and do not plug it in at all and keep the iPhone off so nothing will short circuit. My only issue is I looked at the store hours online so for one; their hours of operation are posted wrong on the internet stating they are open until 10:00 pm and it also says online “open” when I looked. The technician was suppose to call me once the process was completed and I never received a call from them at all and so at 9:06 pm I called the Saybrook store and the voice recording told me they are currently closed. So, although I liked the way I was helped and all of my questions and concerns were well answered, I felt pretty irritated when the tech didn’t call me to communicate what has happened with my son’s iPhone and I also didn’t like the postings stating the store hours being open until 10:00 pm, clearly not the right time on the internet. I will inform them to fix their website seeing I’m sure others even may have driven to Staples in a rush just to find out they’re closed although the internet states otherwise.

Dropped off very expensive opera tickets to be picked up by ups and staples must have lost them.
Their IT services department takes advantage of elderly customers lack of computer knowledge to sell them products and services they do not need. When given the opportunity to make it right they refuse. I spoke with the IT services manager, Corey, and explained the situation to him. He said that even though they misdiagnosed the computer, since the work was already done they would not issue a refund for their mistake. This is no way to run a business.

I have been shopping here for many years and have always been pleased. The owner and staff are helpful and friendly. The assortment of items is always huge and up to date with current trends. My daughters also love it here!

This place has really changed from the store we grew up going to. And not in a good way. It’s a shame.
Place has gone downhill! I have been a longtime faithful customer visiting all 3 locations many times. If you are planning on placing an order online… beware. Their inventory is not properly calculated! I ordered an item online, paid with a credit card and after I still haven’t heard anything from them or received a shipping update, so I decided to e-mail customer service. Within an hour I received a message saying order canceled because the item is out-of-stock. That was it, there was absolutely no resolution for their error, they did rectify the situation which led me to rate and write this review. If I owned a company and failed to deliver, I would offer the customer a small store credit as an apology due to business error…. not the customers fault!!! Remember, I was trying to give you business!

Chuck is a real music enthusiast as well as a great helper. He gives personalized, speedy service to parents haranguing their kids into getting their instruments. Reasonable, fair prices.
So glad to have found this place. Super helpful service to help me dial in my guitar. He can get anything but more importantly helped me understand the right style and kind guitar for me.
What a great place. The owner, Chuck, is very kind and helpful. Extremely reasonable and fair rates and flexible with school rentals. Definitely oriented towards making the customer happy. Highly recommend!

I stopped in this store today after running around to about 7 different stores looking for a particular old book. No one at any of the other stores really knew what I was looking for or had a copy, but the clerk at Harbor Books knew exactly which book I meant, knew exactly where it was, and had several older editions for me to peruse. I got the perfect Christmas present for an incredibly reasonable price! I just wish I had stopped there first instead of running around all afternoon. The store was very neat, well organized, and they had a large selection of books.

Good place to buy a good book
Kind of pricey and a bit compact. Busy for sure but no real atmosphere.
We stopped into Harbor Books today with our children, who are 2 and 4. They are young children and energetic, but they also know how to behave. My younger daughter handed me a Children’s book off the shelf, I said yes, that’s a book, and I put it back on the shelf. The man behind the counter VERY rudely said “Those books are for adults to buy,” to which I said, “Yes, I realize that.” He replied with (still quite rudely) “This is NOT a library. Those books are for purchase.” I took my children and left. They weren’t causing any sort of trouble, there wasn’t anyone else in the store, and the display of children’s books are right at floor level very accessible for young children to look at. I understand the concern about children potentially destroying books and displays, but mine were not misbehaving, I put the book back as soon as it was handed to me, and I was getting ready to tell my daughter that we look at them, not touch. I don’t know ANYONE who goes to a book store without thumbing through the books, and this employee (I don’t know if he was the owner or a clerk) made it quite apparent that we were not welcome there despite the prominent display of children’s books and the open door to the street. I wouldn’t recommend this store to anyone.

Nice place with comfortable seating. Must see this place during a venue. Great dining on the strip too.
What a nice venue (it was so clean!) . If you’re going to an event at the theater and there is dancing involved, don’t worry, there is plenty of room to dance up front. I would go back again.

Kids had so much fun. The owner identified what each rock and mineral was to the children. Well worth the price!!
Have taken my early teen daughter here a couple of times. We’ve completely enjoyed the mother/daughter time there. The proprietor is extremely knowledgable about his craft and offered us quite an education on the gemstones we sifted from the flume. They also sell some lovely premade jewelry made from gemstones.

Horrible experience today with our grandchildren! Old man that was there today was extremely rude! He was unwilling to get up off his chair to assist us because we came in 45 minutes before closing time!! I would not recommend this place to anyone!
Not so great with informing customers of necessary information. The website says open for usual hours today. Hand-written note on the door says closed for 5 days (also no voicemail). Awesome delivery for people who live 1hr away!! Won’t be coming back to check it out!
Would love to go. Last two times we went at 11am on a Saturday, they were closed (and hours say open) with no sign.
Edit: tried again today 3 months later, closed yet again on a Thursday (when sign stated they would be open). Drove 30 min, waited at 10:15, went for breakfast, went back at 11, still closed. No sign on the door. So disappointing, I’ve tried SO many times.
