Ima just say THE GREAT BRINDLEYS..always have been good people..I could write(type) a whole chapter of this place and my 1st guitar as a young teen.
They are great and take such good care of you and your instruments!
Bruce always does a great job whenever I need something done on one of my instruments and his price is always fair.
This place is cool. Ppl are nice. IN THE HOOD IM LIKE PRINCESS DIANNA!!!
-Ice Spice 687:927
They are wonderful people and always take care of their customer by heart.
It was very awesome service but milanos was cheaper books were 8.00 and care kits were10.00 and at brindleys it was almost 16.00 and for book it was 10
Communicated with them over offerup. They instantly got rude and snarky when asking about trades. Don’t know if it’s the owner or just a social media person but totally unnecessary treatment of a potential customer
My son wanted to buy from a local shop. He spent $400 of his own money on a used guitar, new amp and cord. The cord tip broke off in the amp input 3 weeks after purchase ruining the cord and amp. My son attempted to get a replacement with his receipt in hand and was told he would need to pay for the repair of the amp. When I called and spoke to the owner Bruce I encountered an arrogant and condescending man with little to no concern for the customer. Instead he proceeded to blame my son for the faulty cord and infer that the damage was caused by something he did. Mind you he has played on entry level equipment for years and never had a single issue. We also had an independent professional agree that the cord was faulty and caused the damage to the amp input. Regardless Bruce repeatedly told me something was fishy, that 2 plus 2 told him something else happened, that he had been in business for 43 years and I didn’t know anything and took the Lords name in vain time after time during our conversation. When I told him it was unfortunate that he wouldn’t correct the issue he told me I would be blackmailing him if a bad review was left. Sorry Bruce but their were no threats made, only a customer wanting others not to have their hard earned money thrown away. Be a professional. Based on some of the other reviews I have looked at it appears we are not the first, second or even third customers treated this way. When he continued to argue and obsess that he would dispute a review and it was apparent nothing else mattered I hung up. No amount of logic would change this mans mind. Fortunately we know the truth and he can convince himself otherwise all he wants. Their are plenty of local shops lile Milanos and corporate shops like Guitar Center who appreciate the business and know the value of a loyal customer!
Terrible. The service is great but. 13 dollars for 1. 1 Bari sax size 3 Reed is way to expensive. I could get 5 for 30 on Amazon. That’s a amazing price. The sax repairs are way to expensive. 100 for a check up. When you Could go down the street to superstition mountain music and get everyone about 50% cheaper.
Si Ahí Llevo Mi Carrito al Smok.Spn Muy Amables .Y Baratos.Lleva tu Carrito AHI.
Cool little store and good cigarette prices!
Cheap smokes
Cheap smoke’s
Store clean people friendly
We were there picking up a group of friends from the Mexico Shuttle. It is a nice little stopping place with a shaded area to sit while you wait. You MUST have a mask to go inside. The Women’s Bathroom was broken, so 1 bathroom for everyone to use. No alcohol, but lots of tobacco to purchase.
very expensive. I bought a roll of Copenhagen for $24 I pay 21.00 in Douglas and that includes tax. no buys here
Very dirty gas station
Creo q aquí son racistas y aparte de sangre mexicana, no volvería a llegar, q lástima que un latino trate mal a otro latino
4. Zia Records (Chandler)
Address: 3029 N Alma School Rd, Chandler, AZ 85224 , Sun Lakes , Arizona , United States
Great having Zia here in the valley. They helped me today with their disk buffing service.
Love this place so much cool stuff
Every Zia I’ve been to is a different experience. They all carry the same genre’s of items, but they differ in their stock. This particular location has many cool collectibles, fun employees, and the set up of the store is organized and spacious. It is my favorite location out of the few I’ve been to. If you are in this area, its the type of place you SHOULD stop at.
Has a great abundance of rock/pop music. Would like to see a bit more in rap/r&b. Otherwise, great store.
Love it!
Great place for those of us that still like to buy physical media like CD’s, DVD, Blu-ray, video games, vinyl and more You find new and used stuff at good prices. Staff are friendly if you need help finding something. Places like this should give you a discount card if you can name that time because it’s usually some obscure artist. Pro tip, always check the new arrivals section before you go to your desired department. Love old school record stores, there are only a few left out there.
I’m not one to leave poor reviews, but I was given a very negative impression of this place and their work ethic after my experience. I came in with a box of tapes. These tapes had always been inside and were all opened before being put in the box (to ensure that they had the right tapes inside). We dropped the tapes off and waited thirty minutes like we’re supposed to. Afterwards, the guy explains to us that our box is infested with spiders (it wasn’t). He explained that he saw one daddy long legs and that he noticed some dust at the bottom of the box. Because of this, he refused to take anything. “I didn’t even see the titles, to be honest.” he admitted. I wasn’t sure if he was joking at first, because how unprofessional!! He basically said he refused to do his job because one tiny spider spider (which may have just already been in the store and not from the box) and some dust. I used to work at an old pool and there are big bugs everywhere, but I was still expected to do my job. I saw in this employee a person who makes excuses instead of solutions, a very poor work ethic. A grown man refused to even look at my wares because of one spider and a bit of dust. Wow.
If I could go with one star I would. Tried to trade in more than 100 DVDs, most very popular recent titles. Pennies on the dollar. Less than $.50 average. Which would not have annoyed me have as much had I not waited 5 hours for the news. Maybe just too old for that scene.
Not worth selling any electronics for trade credit or cash. Way worse than a pawn shop or Craigslist. Illegitimate business ethics in my opinion.
5. The Music Store
Address: 2630 W Baseline Rd, Mesa, AZ 85202 , Sun Lakes , Arizona , United States
Stopped in to inquire about and check out their Tom Anderson guitars. The young man at the front was very helpful and pointed me in the direction of Jon, the Anderson expert. Had a nice chat with Jon about the process of ordering a custom model from Anderson, and he showed me the guitars they have in stock. He had a lot of useful information and was very helpful in detailing the order process and popular specs. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a nice guitar, or a Mesa Boogie amplifier, which they have quite a selection of. Very well-organized store.
Fast and friendly service. Had exactly what I needed 🙂
Super friendly team! I have been putting off some guitar work because I couldn’t find anyone that I trust, but my journey is over. Brendan knocks it out of the park. If you think customer service is dead and gone, think again. Brendan went above and beyond!! I can’t wait to bring the rest of my guitars in!!
Fui una vez a ver las guitars
The instruments we have rental have been pretty worn but still work well and it is an OK deal for the price. Customer service is helpful and friendly. We have been pleased with our violin rental over this past year and will continue renting here into the next school year.
Great verify of sheet music and ukuleles and an awesome luthier.
They have nothing for the drummer! Maybe some sheet music? But nothing more!
I’m renting a clarinet and they gave it uncleaned (had old spit) and with broken parts. Horrible customer service. My tried fixing the first rental, but after a week, they just returned it without fixing anything.
“Jp” the owner looked right at me and said “no” to giving me a 10% teacher discount for an $11 red label string. Thanks bud.
6. Acoustic Vibes Music
Address: 2070 E Southern Ave, Tempe, AZ 85282 , Sun Lakes , Arizona , United States
When I arrived there I saw a sign saying that due to code that I must make an appointment and a web address to go make that appointment. But the nice people there let me bring my guitar in anyway to get fixed.
This place has the most beautiful selection of high end acoustic guitars I’ve ever seen.
This is ‘the’ place for acoustic guitars. Great selection in all price ranges. They also have Furch guitars. They are, by far, the best sounding instruments I have ever heard. I pruchased one and can not be away from it more than a few hours. You must check them out. Extremely knowledgeable staff that convey a love for acoustic guitars. You will fall in love with Acoustic Vibes.
Best music store in the area to peruse some of the best acoustic instruments by selected boutique and mainstream builders. The stock is priced between $3 and $10k but the reward for spending more is finding the equivalent of a Steinway (beautiful tone, resonance and playability) in a steel or nylon string guitar. Cheaper instruments are available, but comparing them to the better ones is motivation to indulge yourself or reward yourself for hard work in getting better. Better sound makes you play at a higher level. Check this small store out!
Best acoustic guitar selection I’ve seen
Nice acoustic design,
all acoustic guitars top shelf brands.
Good selection, but weird atmosphere and left me feeling unwelcome. One might think such a ‘high’ tier guitar store would offer a ‘high’ tier experience, but that wasn’t the case for me. When I first entered the building I was met by a few older customers and employees and got nothing but a sour face by everyone just by opening the door, no greeting, nothing- super awkward, everybody literally stopped talking to look at me with an irritated look, as if I had interrupted something. I then had to excuse myself past the small gathering of what looked like employees talking to customers that wouldn’t move just to get to the first guitar room. I then was greeted by a salesman who instead of letting me tell him what I’m looking for, proceeds to go into a shpeel on all the different Martin models, basically making me interrupt him to tell what I’m looking for. The salesman also told me HD28s don’t come with dot inlays yet here I am looking at older models with them all over the internet. There was nobody else browsing the store in the guitar sections. I was then told I could play guitars, but the adjacent rooms are used for things like Banjo, which made it so I couldn’t even hear the guitars I was trying to play because somebody was in there clawing away. I really don’t think I’ll be visiting again, regardless of the selection. I’ll spend thousands of dollars somewhere else that takes every customer seriously. I went to Milano music right after and was treated respectfully and seriously without hesitation, and I didn’t need to schedule a high-pressure sales pitch and waste an hour of my time.
Very unfortunate visit, coming in to try out and buy a steel string guitar. We were greeted with passive aggressiveness and a magazine thrown across the main entrance before entering the guitar room from the shop keeper, young guy. incredibly rude and 0 customer service.
Made the whole stay unpleasant.

7. Milano Music
Address: 38 W Main St, Mesa, AZ 85201 , Sun Lakes , Arizona , United States
Excellent and fast customer service. I have been renting from them for 3 years
Best music store around, hands down.
Knowledgeable instructors. Patient with students. Many instruments and accessories to choose from.
Lots and lots and lots of musical and magical things. There are so many musical books that you may want to take time to view everything. The staff is very helpful, we had a good time.
Very helpful staff. Went in on a Saturday and talked about everything from Coltrane and music theory to DW drums. Cool place. Good selection of instruments, priced reasonably enough to not shop around
Great prices and selection. Willing to special order as well. Good teachers for private lessons and activities to bring local community of musicians together.
Terrible customer service and very rude. Would seek an alternative music store instead.
Took a guitar to a practice room and was rudely reprimanded for doing so despite no one telling me not do that and no signs posting any rule of that sort. Did not feel like a valued customer, ended up purchasing a guitar somewhere else. Other employees are friendly, this older gentleman was rude and not customer friendly.
I was waiting in line for a rental for about 20 min given it is a busy time of the year but everyone who walked up after me got attended to first. Just seemed very selective which rubbed me the wrong way.
8. Music & Arts
Address: 7040 E Hampton Ave, Mesa, AZ 85209 , Sun Lakes , Arizona , United States
Friendly staff and good selection of sheet music. They’ve always had the method books I need in stock.
Such a fantastic place! My son started with Viola lessons and has now moved to piano. Not only are the instructors amazing, but the whole staff is great!
There’s really cool stuff
They were kind enough to let us jam on their amp and electric guitar
Great place to purchase or repair an instrument. Alwayd friendly and provides suggestions based on cost for anything the sale or service. Strongly recommend Music and Arts.
Buena variedad de música
Went to the Music and Arts store today to purchase drumsticks and lessons. Couldn’t use my Canadian Credit card or American cash? Very disappointed
Spent my money elsewhere because of the masks requirement.
NEGATIVE STARS IS MORE LIKE IT!!! I have had the WORST experience dealing with the customer service from Music and Arts. Everytime me or my husband try to call and resolve our bill we get told a different story! NOONE has helped us resolve the issue and it’s been over 4 months now. The amount of money I have paid Music and Arts already, I could have boughten an instrument. NOT worth the hassel and absolute HORRIBLE customer service!!! Save your money and time and go somewhere else!!
9. Guitar Center
Address: 1652 S Val Vista Dr Suite 118, Mesa, AZ 85204 , Sun Lakes , Arizona , United States
Jared the repair man is awesome! I bought a ukulele from them years back and the nut fell out. I was so bummed because most cheap ukuleles aren’t worth it to fix. But he was very nice to replace the nut with no problems! It sounds better than it did when I bought it. If you have needs for repair, go see Jared!
Great selection of guitars new and pre-owned. In addition, you will not be disappointed with their selection of amps and guitar accessories.
Good customer service. I found what I needed but generally the selection is lower compared to pre bankruptcy. I like this store.
Bobby rocks! Gave me a great price with my trade and STOKED with my new EVH Wolfgang
A lot of acoustic guitars are out of stock. But there are plenty of other things to look at and try.
I just got back from Guitar center in Mesa and I was assisted by Quinn. After ringing up my merchandise I asked her to itemize the cost. When we got to the beater for my bass drum she stated the cost was $29.99. I am informed her the sign said 22.99. We walked on over and I showed her and she stated that it was in the wrong place, and I pointed out to her, there was no sign for $29.99. she said we have to make a sign for it and stated you still need to pay $29.99. I was blown away. I’ve been given this store a lot of my business over five grand in the last 2 years and this is how I’m treated. This is the last time I’m going to the store, because their customer service has a lot to be desired.
Unfortunately it looks like Guitar center is on its last leg. I loved going there but now it hurts to see it eroding away. Hope 2021 brings it back to its former glory
Store: 1652 S Val Vista Dr Suite 118, Mesa, AZ 85204 01/14/2022 5:30pm I went into this store ready to buy. Not high end but I was looking for a nylon and steel acoustic and possible an electric. There were as many staff as customers yet none decided to greet or ask if I needed anything. In fact they seemed annoyed. One man looked into the acoustic area and I had to flag him down to ask if a guitar was in stock, he quickly answered and left. The guitar was hanging on the top run so I got on the ladder myself to get one down. Good thing I did not fall because I would have had to sue. Another employee was busy playing guitar right outside the door and didnt bother helping anyone, then he went behind the counter (still playing) and not helping. ZERO effort for any customer service. Ive been a customer since 1994 when you opened in Tempe. Back then you were the disrupters. We all became instantly loyal as you let us actually play the instruments and never gave an attitude. Those days are gone it seems. If you are planning to go fully online then that make sense but if you are keeping the stores you may need a wake up call. The online competition is fierce and rent is expensive. I didnt buy anything. Feel free to look at the cameras around that time and watch my money walk out the door. As a kid I hated snobby music stores and that is what GC has become. After this message I will look on Amazon for guitars.
10. Zimm’s Guitars
Address: 1305 W Guadalupe Rd Ste E1, Mesa, AZ 85202 , Sun Lakes , Arizona , United States
Zimms guitars is the best guitar store I have visited. I would recommend it to any guitarist. Come check it out on Dobson and Guadeloupe in Mesa.
Great place in all the east Valley
Great place lots of inventory nice owner
Nice guy. Mostly cheapo brands. Lots of pedals. Guys deals in used gear. I have found a few cool items there. But you need to stop in every week or two as inventory changes.
The owner, Dane is a good friend. In fact we’ve played in a few bands together. Always has something I need or want, always willing to wheel and deal. But it is a business, know and expect like any other business he has overhead. Trust me this guy isn’t trying to make a killing. He’s fair and honest, some times. Takes a loss to help struggling musicians. I’ve bought or traded ALOT of gear with this guy, and will definitely be hanging out from time to time. Maybe doing a few set ups. Or cleaning guitars.
Fun, friendly guitar shop.
Showed up right after 5:30pm and they were closed. Hours say open until 6pm.
Heard good things about them, but don’t advertise that you are open hours that you are not open, maybe I’ll change my rating for it when I go in there and they’re actually open when they say they are
11. Sam Ash Music Stores
Address: 4402 W Cactus Rd, Glendale, AZ 85304 , Sun Lakes , Arizona , United States
Awesome store. Vast selection of guitars & amps. Sales guys where very friendly.
Andrea did an amazing job as usual guiding us through the selection of speakers for our church sound system.
The crew at that Glendale location was absolutely amazing. We were so surprised how knowledgeable Andrew was and it was only his 2nd week there. There was a little hiccup with the original electronic set that I bought and they did not want me going home without knowing 100 percent that what I take home was working completely. They ended up ordering me a brand new set, got it shipped to the store, no extra charge, no extra bullcrap. I will hopefully get back to play an acoustic drumset and I will for sure be shopping at that location again. From junior rep to management there, undoubtedly a great experience.
This is a great place to buy instruments but only when they’re open
You guys might consider carrying banjo straps. There wasn’t one in the whole place.
Checked out some guitars and amps… played on two guitars and amps. I prefer Fender Strats but the price is enough to scare one away… far away. I couldn’t find what I was looking for as far as amplifiers go, but then again I wasn’t asked if i needed help with anything…kinda left to wander around like a tourist LOL.. so I went to the other side of the store to check out PA systems, mics and stuff and again found myself wandering around wondering who was going to offer some assistance…didn’t happen. So I left. Did I miss something here? Oh yeah… Customer Service… it must have died with Covid 19 or Omnicron or my favorite… Monkey Pox! Trust the science. Lmao.
Set on the phone for 45mins trying to get a human to talk to me! You would think I’m calling to verify my health benefits the way I was placed on hold and passed around?? I was only looking to get a price. In the end they hung up on me. Customer service sucks big time!!!!
Had a. Interview scheduled for yesterday and then again today with the PHX location, for 1pm. They no-call/no-showed. Is this normally how it goes?
This is my go to store. I have been buying everything from here including my last 4 Guitars. And a drum set. Even had a guitar shipped to me from the Queens NY store. Just a great staff. I have been very loyal.
But if they are going to keep up with this mask madness. There are other places to go. Two other music stores are closer to me anyways. Bummer guys.
12. Ziggie’s Music
Address: 3309 N 3rd St Ac, Phoenix, AZ 85012 , Sun Lakes , Arizona , United States
This is one of those almost extinct mom and pop family owned music stores that caters to the true established working musician. Their accordion repair services are excellent, and internationally recognized as being top tier. Accordion player will drive for over 1000 miles from Mexico to have their instruments serviced and or repaired by Dionne, who was trained by Hohner factory employees. Dionne has a great electronics repair man, who takes the guitar amps, PAs, and other stuff home, repairs it and returns it to the shop. That man is her husband, Chuck. Chuck uses tools and diagnostic equipment most shops don’t even know about, let alone use. Her guitar repair guy is also very skilled too. This is NOT Guitar Center or Sam Ash, so don’t expect a wall full of instruments. This is a shop for people who play professionally, already own gear, and need to keep their gear running, so they can work. THIS IS A PROFESSIONAL PERFORMING MUSICIAN’S MUSIC STORE. IT IS ALSO DYING INSTITUTION. Ziggie’s exemplifies what music is all about. I see Mexican musicians who play Tejano musica, and other traditional Mexican style music, rock & roll musicians, C&W, pop, top 40s cover bands, etc. Ziggies also rents studio space for lessons, and there are several great people who give lessons. People show up, sit around and jam, chew the fat, look back on old times of days gone by in the Phoenix music scene. The Saturday Swap Meet is great, and happens the first Saturday of each month. If you have some gear to sell, or trade, bring it on over, at 8:00 or 9:00 AM, and see what happens. Summer is kind of the off season, but there are deals to be had. It’s all free, with no table rental space charges, or any of that nonsense. It is a community thing sponsored by Dionne, and the Ziggie’s family legacy, of being part of the community. This shop is a piece of Phoenix history, and it’s a true gem. You don’t stay in business for over 80 years, unless you are doing something right.
Visited here with beachedmessiah. Im uneducated in music but he’s a genius and I literally had to drag him out. We almost didn’t get to mexico before the border closed. Must be some kind of awesome place considering he willingly and knowingly risked his life by causing me to almost be too late. Lol I’m guessing we will return. Hoping to become less uneducated prior.
I called to ask some questions about a vintage accordion and spike with Dion. Although the accordion was not something that the store was looking for he was very knowledgeable about accordions in general and had no problem staying on the phone with me to discuss the accordion that I had in front of me piece by piece. I recommend this store and Dion to anyone looking for a knowledgeable staff in vintage and new musical instruments. Thank you for your help.
The perfectly imperfect music store with a hometown feel.
Very helpful the information what’s good
literally 30 minutes b4 it was supposed to close me my mom and friend were trying to get in it was closed and we were looking in it was dirty that didn’t bother me it was just the fact there were no employees there 30 before close hours meaning it wasn’t we had just missed it meaning they had closed before hand
Store hours say 10 til 6 M thru S but they don’t follow them…..went by at 230 and no one showed up…..zero stars if I could
Was looking for a decent music store but this is not it. The place is dirty, and only carries used gear. The selection was very disappointing. Look elsewhere
13. Atomic Guitar Works
Address: 8550 N 91st Ave, Peoria, AZ 85345 , Sun Lakes , Arizona , United States
Total professionals. Expert advice and craftsmanship from one end of the guitar to the other. Also: excellent work on my five-string banjos and my acoustic guitar bodies. Friendly; no-nonsense; curious and helpful; prompt; completely reliable. A great asset for the Phoenix musical community. Any guitar issue, and I’m ‘running down to Atomic again’…
You have been warned. They talked like they knew the product very well to build trust. They overpromised and underdelivered when I got my guitar back and still wanted to make excuses???, the work I asked for was clearly stated in the receipt.
Small but impressive guitar shop. Nice selection of after market parts and strings.
A great place to get a custom made guitar
I took a mid-level Martin to them with a crack. They humidified it to where the crack closed. They told me it was repaired but to be sure and keep it humidified. The fact is they humidified and the crack closed they didn’t do the repair but they charged me for it.
The guy who answered the phone was a jerk. I took my guitar to someone else.
I bought a charvel jake e lee model that supposedly was built by someone at atomic guitars and it was the worst thing I’ve ever played, held or experienced. Everything about it was off from the neck pocket to the fingerboard and frets. I was told that it was built by the guys at atomic guitar and I hope that wasn’t the case at all.
14. Guitar Center
Address: 2750 W Peoria Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85029 , Sun Lakes , Arizona , United States
This review is solely because of the service that we got from Bill in the repair center. He was so knowledgeable. He fixed both of our guitars and informed us on how to keep the damages from happening in the future, all within 10 minutes. Thanks Bill you are great!
Love this place.
Very awesome!!
Inventory is on the low side
Found what we needed at a good price as usual. Not the best workers in the the world as far as knowledge and want to actually help you, but if you know what your looking for its a great place to get what you want today. I highly recommend searching store inventory online before heading in. Save ya done time,
Nice place with a lot of choices
The guitar department staff is way lost. They don’t know how to prioritize when dealing with a backup of customers. I literally watched an employee walk away and go on break in the middle of a transaction with a customer. luckily somebody from another department came over and helped out. I don’t even think he was asked. I think you just saw that these guys were struggling.
Try calling to get pricing for renting some speakers for an event and they hang up on you… Great place…
Very rude staff, came to return a ukulele (Mitchell MU50SE) with a unhinge bridge and was judge by approximately 5 staff members all gathering at once, each one calling another to come look at it. Despite customer reviews stating the same problem with the ukulele. The only decent staff member is the manager who told the staff to approve the return.
In the end, I will never return to this store despite my plan to buy a $700 guitar from this location.
15. Agave Music
Address: 2317 N 16th St, Phoenix, AZ 85006 , Sun Lakes , Arizona , United States
Chris is a conscientious technician. He’s knowledgeable and helpful. He sold us the perfect instrument, with terms that fit our budget. This is our go to shop going forward.
Probably the best repair shop for professional flutes in AZ. Chris is Straubinger certified and understands the fine-tuning necessary for a pro flute, AND he does well with big flutes! He has fully repadded my double contrabass flute with custom leather pads, and it plays better than new. Definitely worth the trip to Phoenix when the instruments need some love!
Chris’s workmanship is topnotch. I only trust Agave Music with my flutes!!
Chris the technician is extremely competent! Highly recommend!
They did a great job repairing my tuba. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Chris is very knowledgable about the repairs of most musical instruments. Since he is a sax player also he has exceptional knowledge in the repair of that instrument family. His prices are reasonable and he guarantee his work. I would strongly recommend him to fellow saxaphonist.
16. Central Music
Address: 5038 N Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85012 , Sun Lakes , Arizona , United States
What a quaint place! It’s a small store that reminds me of late nights in college spent on music theory and escaping exams through composition. The store is well kept and very comfortable. I was also very impressed with the employee (owner?). He was attentive and so very helpful when I couldn’t find the right gift. I was able to find what I wanted after he helped and then some. I’ll be back for quite a few more purchases after this!
The drum set I grew up on is there all instruments are playable
Service is top end.
A true gem of the Valley!
Interesting store with many options. There are many song books, instruments, and accesories available here. Certainly keeps that local shop, local owner/operator feel.
Very good variety. Owner is really friendly and nice. I love it. Pricing is great. There’s a lot of different music books for different instruments.
Cool little shop. People and staff are nice there. Remember that this is a great shop if you want to shop for sheet music! They have tons of sheet music, and odds and ends for instruments. This isn’t the place to go for buying or renting instruments. Cool place, but mainly just for sheet music.
No tiene variedad de cuerdas,no ve de guitarras de calidad.
No tiene variedad de cuerdas,no ve de guitarras de calidad.
CentralMusic purchase policy of NO REFUNDS NO RETURNS: bought a gig bag/very nice. Also bought, and am now stuck with, Kremona KNG classical guitar pickup: rubber on the plug end is brittle/cracking. I tape-wrapped it BECAUSE NO REFUNDS/NO RETURNS. However, I do apologize to you, Central Music, because I should have examined that pickup, should have said “rubber boot has breaks” or something to that effect. But I bought it the day before my wife’s funeral service where I was scheduled to play for a bit. So, I was a little pressed for time, grieving My Beautiful Wife’s passing, not thinking before I posted my comments about Central Music. So, I am sorry if I sounded rude, because that’s not who I am. On the bright side, your shop was open, item was available, product does work, and I wish I could read music better because you have lots of sheet music available and other gear for sale.
17. Linton Milano Music
Address: 38 W Main St, Mesa, AZ 85201 , Sun Lakes , Arizona , United States
Lauren G. takes guitar lessons from Brad Howell and he is the best. Thanks for everything Brad.
Linton milano music is a wonderful place full of wonderful people! I have come here for many years to purchase sheet music. The staff is very helpful and eager to find what I am looking for. I have also taken piano lessons with Chris Soll and she was a fantastic teacher! Every other instructorI have met has been very kind of welcoming as well. Fair prices for superior lessons with some of the most qualified teachers. Great place!
I’m giving Linton-Milano Music five stars because I can’t give them six or more. I’ve been taking guitar lessons from James Soll for four years. I have no musical background. As an adult student I know myself to be difficult, opinionated and a spectacularly slow learner. James, with his super-human patience, has managed to keep me moving forward. He is never impatient or discouraging and he always reminds me that music should be fun. He’s really great at what he does. What’s more, I find the overall atmosphere of the business itself to be warm and welcoming every time I go in. It really makes my week.
Awesome place!
Has all the instruments, high quality, nice Inventory, but no futuristic electronic like silent violence, air drumsticks, Air drum bass pedals, futuristic stuff like that
This is a great store, but update your hours on Google maps! I drove from 30 minutes away thinking I could make it on time only to find out they closed an hour earlier than it says.
Cool place , but the staff are unwelcoming … Even as I have been here and hour looking around they seem to avoid my service, but attend to those who look more musically inclined. Not very happy with them. all I wanted was some guidence to get back into playing ,but they have been ignoring me. They’re loss on 1000$ I guess.
18. Boogie Music
Address: 3562 W Cactus Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85029 , Sun Lakes , Arizona , United States
I took guitar lessons here fokr years and fhe staff is very friendly and professional. I am welcomed in every time when entering and giving great customer service.
Was assisted by a very knowledgeable gentleman (that I assume is the owner judging by his demeanor).
He got me set up with the right equipment quickly whilst still providing a rich amount of insight.
This place was a far drive for me, but the trip was worth it.
These people are really friendly and helpful.
I got my first drum set from Boogie 20 years ago. They’ve been in business a long time! They have competitive pricing and a pretty good selection of great. I would suggest Boogie music over one of the larger chain music stores because of their competitive pricing, in-depth knowledge of their products, and quality customer server.
They are very helpful and answer my questions about learning how to play the guitar.
They have a nice selection for a small place. Fair prices too!
I agree with Reyna’s post. I received similar treatment when searching for a trombone for my son. The owner was condescending and rude. It felt like he did not want our business. I asked to see the instruments he had available for sale. His response was that the instruments were well into the thousands and that he recommended a rental. We asked to see the rentals and said he only had one to choose from. I asked if we could pull the trombone out of the case and he said absolutely not. He said we had to sign the contract before we could handle the instrument. I dont understand how we would be expected to buy an instrument without even touching it. I thanked the man for his time and left. I would not recommend this place to anyone!
Worst music store in Phoenix! Old man that works there has a bad attitude and lies about guitar prices! Definitely not going back there ever again!
Rude and condescending.
19. Zia Records (Mesa)
Address: 1302 S Gilbert Rd, Mesa, AZ 85204 , Sun Lakes , Arizona , United States
I’ve always loved Zia records and they did not disappoint at this location. It’s nice to see how they’ve evolved to include movies, musical instruments and video games. Also a lot of cute little specialty products, like incense and crystals. You’ll enjoy browsing this store.
Great and vast selection. Prices are pretty fair. Something for everyone here!
Nice place to shop and get some old school music
Love Zia records my favorite one is the Thunderbird store
Bought 4 cd’s …
From the moment I walked into the store i had employees give me dirty looks and then they proceeded to follow me around the store so I put my products back and left. I felt very disrespected and I will never return nor shall I recommend to others
If I could rate 0 stars I would
This is by far the worst zia’s around. I went in looking for a book. I perused the book section but was not able to find the book I was looking for. I went over to the section where they inspect the used stuff that comes in. There was a girl there who was not helping a customer but was doing obviously doing something. I stood there about 5 minutes without her acknowledging me. Annoyed to say the least, I went to the registers. The employee finishes ringing up his customer, and instead of looking to see that anyone was in line, he started doing other things behind the register. Being that I worked in retail for a long time, I am not the type of person that will walk up to the cashier after the last person has left. It’s rude, in my opinion. After a couple minutes he finally sees me standing there. I let him know that I’m looking for a book, he checks the computer, they have it! He tells me the section it is in (I was looking in the wrong section) and then says, ‘good luck trying to find it’………… Seriously dude!? Thankfully I found it and then booked it out of there. If you want good customer service, go to the location on elliot and alma school! I won’t be back here!
I shop at multiple Zia locations and haven’t an issue until today. I took my son in to browse and we found a marvel Doc Oct figure. It was priced with a $4.60 sale sticker and a 19.99 white sticker so I thought ok it must be marked down because it was dusty and sticker was coming off. My son was excited. When we went to pay I was told that the red sticker wasn’t a zia sticker so they couldn’t honor it .. I was surprised and left without purchasing anything including the two movies I brought up to buy as well. Basic retail would say to honor if you have it marked, it’s not the customers fault you didn’t pull it off when you put it out on the shelf and I’m sure Weights and Measures would fine you for such a mistake. Sad thing is the associate went and asked the manager too. Common sense guys, won’t be coming back to this location!

I was interested in the wedding venue here, pictures online looks great!
However, the lack of any kind of communication is borderline downright unprofessional. I’ve attempted to reach out multiple times via phone and email to inquire about the venue and details. I received 2 short emails the same day asking some questions then I was completely ghosted. I’ve made several phone calls, left a handful of voicemails, and have sent several follow up emails.
To anyone looking into the wedding venue here: if you happen to get ahold of someone, I would be cautious about the lack of communication and would seriously wonder if this lack of communication could be harmed I’m leading up to and/or on the day of your event.
