Great service, very knowledgeable and everyone knew their stuff!
Best customer service ever!!! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They always have what I need and then some.
Everyone there has an attitude problem. Plus all their merchandise is greatly overpriced. I’m done with them, would rather drive to Columbus Ms than spend my money there.
Owner was very rude,we come in to purchase a kerosene heater for my disable mother and he was eating and didn’t want to acknowledge we needed help so sad
If you aren’t local forget service…snobby n dismissive…

Great ,clean and very friendly place to visit and shop. Not outrageous priced. Like a lot of your antique stores or malls
Set aside at least an hour to go through this place. It is two-stories jam packed with great stuff. Definitely worth the time to make the drive there. The staff was nice.
They have lots of very nice furniture, dishes, wall art, knickknacks, costume jewelry, cast iron, 8 tracks, and everything in between.
Homey place with more first class antiques than you can shake a stick at. Prices are reasonable too. Friendly folks
Great antique mall. Good selection of stalls from different periods.
I visit this mall infrequently but each time I do find a little something. The young lady who checked me out was pleasant. It is a very old antique building itself that has been this mall for 25 years I know of! It has many multiple sellers but a lot of dishes and a shy gray cat who lives there maybe.
Small and dirty
4. McDonald’s
Address: 44345 AL-17, Vernon, AL 35592 , Vernon , Alabama , United States
Love McDonald’s but they can be slow and miss things sometimes. Overall pretty great.
Good fast food
I had a polite cashier at the drive through. It would help if 2 drive through lanes were there. Good food and no mistakes on this order.
Food was not fresh, waited for hot fries…but the rest wasn’t any better. Not the best location to visit.
Normal service sucks. Frappe machine broke as normal.
gave me a happy meal with a cheese burger instead of my 6 piece chicken nuggets gave me cold fries and never gave us our mcchicken until we sat there for 3 minutes

7. Sonic Drive-In
Address: 44237 AL-17, Vernon, AL 35592 , Vernon , Alabama , United States
Friendly car hops, great food, quick service. We visit often, especially when they have 50% off milkshakes.
They have a bathroom. It’s not clean, but they have a bathroom. Service was good. Fast. Not a great part of town and the roads are very congested getting in and out. It’s good. Not great.
Only good at night
Great place
After waiting 15 mins they still hadn’t even made my cheeseburger and tots!!! Worst so nice I’ve ever been to!
Food was cold fries were under cooked
Went specifically for cheese sticks. They were out. Had to listen to husband complain the rest of the night, he REALLY wanted cheese sticks. We cancelled the rest of the order and left.
8. Jerry’s Music
Address: 1140 25th St W, Jasper, AL 35501 , Vernon , Alabama , United States
As an amateur musician, I often felt intimidated walking into a music store, but NOT at Jerry’s! Great equipment, and even GREATER service. If you’re looking for a music retailer, just trust me and make the drive out to Jerry’s! You won’t be disappointed. I had the pleasure of being helped by an awesome guy named Nick today. I will definitely be back, and I’ll be back soon!
Friendly, helpful service! I usually find at least 1 thing I didn’t know I was looking for.
Jerry’s a great guy. He put me on to a set of drums he was selling on consignment. Further than that, I’ve known Jerry for about 23 years, and consider him a friend. Knew his brother in the 80s, also a great person. I don’t think Jerry would ever attempt to do anyone wrong, and he’s got great instruments for every level of playing.
Very helpful, friendly employee
Good place good guy.
Big selection
Old building but new instruments with knowledgeable owner
Prices way too high
9. Art’s Music Shop, Inc
Address: 4647 US-280, Birmingham, AL 35242 , Vernon , Alabama , United States
❤️ I visited Art’s Music Shop for the first time last week, and I was very impressed with the professionalism of those who worked there and the great selection of instruments and music! Kayci Greer was very helpful and knowledgeable about my flute that needed repair! Their prices are also wonderful! Their dedication to excellence is inspiring!
Repair shop – especially the woodwind tech, Brian, since I’m a sax player – are fantastic. Very knowledgeable about the workings of the instrument and willing to work with you on modifications. I’ve taken several saxophones for full overhauls and they are lightyears better than before. Even when I move I will try and get work done here if I can.
I always receive amazing customer service here. They are always knowledgeable about the product and are always willing to help with any of my needs. Highly recommended!
Good. place to shop for all your. music. needs.
I called and they didnt answear
changed to 4 stars because service isn’t as good as it used to be. It is now only ok. Was also very expensive.
SCAM! Just buy an instrument off Amazon with Affirm or some other if you need to make payments. The markup isn’t justified by the TERRIBLE and antiquated policies and customer service.
AVOID! THIS IS A SCAM!
They have good instruments, but when I walked in, I walked straight past about 3 or 4 employees who were unoccupied at the moment and nobody said a word to me. I will never visit or buy from them ever in my life.
Be a good place for a music shop that sales and buy instruments but they can’t do anything but sale with out the manager so if u need to sale something don’t go here
10. Ron Partain’s World of Music
Address: 1914 Cogswell Ave, Pell City, AL 35125 , Vernon , Alabama , United States
Ron and his staff are friendly and knowledgeable of musical instruments. Great prices and great service!
Great locally owned shop with very friendly and knowledgeable staff!
Very nice folks .reminded me of old school music store .very refreshing
It’s a standard small music store. There aren’t a lot of new high end instruments here, but they are all very nice folks.
Large selection!! Beautiful instruments!!
It’s a shame places like this will be going out of business soon. If they would have what I needed or was interested in like certain pickups or more interesting pedals and better guitars this would be an awesome place the last time I went in there the walls were filled with Nashville guitars and they had a couple good electrics but literally every acoustic guitar hanging on the wall was a Nashville guitar and I was looking for a Taylor or Martin but I’ve never seen anything like that in that store I go there to buy picks and strings but that’s only because they don’t have a guitar store in Talladega. When they don’t have pickups I need they asked me if I want them to order it but in this day and age I can just do that myself and get it for cheaper because looking at the price of the looper pedals they’re not buying them wholesale they’re buying them straight off of a website and marking the price up.. The people are super nice I hate giving a three-star review but I’m just being honest.
I read reviews for this shop and thought it was an honest place to sell my gear. I walked in with an Epiphone AJ 220, with an Epiphone molded hardshell case I bought seperately, and an Epiphone “Snake Pit” 15w practice amp. ALL in like new condition. She plugged the guitar in and it was only the fourth time it had ever been plugged in. I never put the guitar in the case without wiping it down first. Look everything I listed up for yourself, and you’ll see what I lost. I messed up and let the lady know that I was in dire need of money for my family. The old guy asked where I bought it, and when I told him, he said he’d lost alot of business to “places like that”. No. I looked around the shop, and all he had was used gear that had been repaired and put up for sale. Junk. My guitar was the nicest instrument there! The reason he’s losing business is because he’s trying to sell junk and beating people in need out of what their instruments are worth. The lady acted like she was on Pawn Stars! If I hadn’t had needed the money really bad, I would have told her where she could stick her $200! That’s all they gave me for everything I brought in. Look up the items I listed, and you’ll see I did my part to support this business! The reviews I read must have been friends of theirs, because they definately misled me. Not fair at all.
Walked in today to look around and from the moment I walked in the door, the older gentleman (I guess the owner?) had his eye on me and was watching me like a hawk, made me feel unwelcome to be there. He asked if I was looking for anything in particular and when I told him very politely he didn’t have what I was looking for he arrogantly told me “I opened this store in 1973 and everything you see in the store is priced the same as you’d get it online” like ok bud I wasn’t complaining about the price you just don’t have what I was looking for. When I told him I wasn’t looking to buy today, and was just looking around he made a sarcastic comment about “well if you’re not buying, we can just put this back on the shelf” ??? I continued to walk around and look at some more product and he continued to watch me like a hawk until I got in my car and pulled out of the parking spot. All of my musician friends have recommended I don’t frequent this store, and I can honestly say, after that experience, I will not and will tell anyone that asks not to either. Lousy excuse for customer service.
