Perry’s Music set up my bass and it plays better than ever! The owner gives very good service and is truly interested in making sure you are happy with your purchases. They also have reasonable prices.
I am enjoying the Ukulele class that Perry’s Music is offering at the Villa Park Library. I have a background in music and find that Rob and Jim have an amazing knowledge of music plus they are excellect teachers. Their store is interesting and full of wonderful instruments. If you haven’t been there, stop in and see what they have to offer. I plan to take lessons at Perry’s. In one short sentence – Perry’s Music is awesome.
Best music store around!!! Bought a new Seagull, sounds great!!! Service is the best ever will go no place else!!!
Great shop for musical instruments and parts. Music lessons offered.
has new and use equipment also offers lessons. Great place to start
Very helpful and friendly guys here. Banjo setup took only a couple of days. Owner Rob Gurka and Jim Kraus gave me their undivided personal attention. I kinda wish I had more of an excuse to hang out and explore this place. I’ll be back.
Never open for business.
Wish I could leave a lower rating. We brought a guitar here to have some minor repairs done. Right off the bat it was an uncomfortable experience. We asked if he knew anything about the brand, he said no. We asked if, in his opinion, it was a nicely made or cheaply made guitar.. he said both.?? Then proceeded to tell us it was defective, even though he knew nothing about it, but he was more than happy to still charge us to do the repairs. He told us it would be ready in a couple days. Never called us. We finally called and were told, again, couple days. We went to pick it up and they had broken one of the pegs. Rather than replacing the whole set, or finding a matching one – since THEY broke a perfectly good peg – they decided the better idea would be to drill a new hole and put a completely different peg there. Even a different color. AND THEN CHARGED US FOR IT!! I wish we never stepped foot in that store. I’m writing this to try and prevent this from happening to anyone else. Oh, and the guitar was 10x better before we brought it in! Stay away from these guys!! I will say though, the kid behind the counter was very nice.

I recently purchased a Bhava “Lite” travel harmonium from Old Delhi Music. Before purchasing I exchanged email with Nic asking questions and comparing the Bhava to my old Bina. Nic set my mind at east that the sustain would be similar to the Bina. I ordered the teak edition as I was drawn to the dove tail construction and beauty of teak. I am so happy with my purchase! The instrument is simply beautiful, and it’s tone and sustain are truly impressive. The harmonium came carefully packed and beautifully tuned. Don’t hesitate to purchase from Old Delhi Music!
Honestly, the only place to purchase a harmonium in the U.S. Nic not only does an excellent job setting up the instrument–always needed after arriving from India–but is super available for help and trouble shooting even years after initial purchase! More businesses should follow his example!
Great service and great products.
I received a faulty instrument from these people and when I asked to return it they denied my request. Even though it was kept in a hard case which I also purchased from them. They were entirely at fault and chose to steal from me instead of being accountable.
NEVER BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE. They will steal if given the chance.

The staff was helpful at getting me a great deal on a Fender case for my guitar.
June 2020 Miss the percussion specialists that use to work for the Lombard store. He really knew his stuff & he was always there. One time he called me with info about a cymbal sale. He knew what I liked. I came in & purchased a few cymbals. He would talk to you and learn what you were into & kept in touch. Like a true salesperson, not just a retail guy standing behind the counter. Now when I come in and ask for a specific item I have to wait for the manager, who also is a percussionist. And at times, he’s in the middle of something & I have to wait. Overall the store does a good job. Suggestion: Need marching percussion items by late June when early marching season starts after July 4th.
April 2021 – Very busy store along with being short handed. I’m sure the pandemic has a lot to do with this. Again, had to wait however, I couldn’t make up my mind on what Kit I wanted to purchase. Salesperson Jason, was very patient and knowledgeable. Yes, I did finally purchase a New Gretsch Club Kit. Happy with price and selection.
Salesman was good and quick, but when I asked if he could through in a new set of strings it was like I asked for way too much! What happen to the good old days when the store would give you some free stuff, strings, strap, cheap cord and some picks,I just wanted some new strings,I don’t think that was too much to ask!
First time in the store and its huge on the inside. Looks like a smaller store from outside. My daughter wouldnt leave, as she played every instrument she could get her hands on…..3hours later we finally made our purchase, which was a guitar tuner and picks 🙂
will be back
Hi , I recently was able to trade in my Hartke bass amp for a more powerful amplifier and Jason was very helpful.
This place looks like a toilet. Unkept, dirty, poor lighting, disassembled drumkits. Unstrung instruments.
I purchased a guitar from this store with a setup plan for 30 dollars.
The girl that sold me the guitar said she couldn’t setup the guitar I’m buying because she doesn’t have her tools. I thought ok fair enough its 6pm on a Saturday night, ” I can’t blame them”. I thought I would come back later to setup my guitar.
However when I called and asked to make an appointment the manager said he doesn’t have a Guitar tech and cannot setup my guitar. I told him that the Girl who sold me the guitar said that she could do it, to which he replied that she is only supposed to Sell and cannot be spending time setting up guitars. I was told I can only go to the Buffalo Grove store.
They sold me a setup plan on the guitar knowing full well that they don’t even have a guitar tech in the Lombard store. Why did the girl offer to setup the guitar when she is not allowed to and excused herself by saying her doesn’t have her tools.
They cancelled my order because they did not like my address.
Still they charged my credit card and are of no help in reversing the charge!

Just wanted to say how awesome this drum shop is! Stopped in just to check it out and see what they had in store and I felt incredibly welcomed. It honestly felt like I was a regular customer there already. The recording/practice rooms were top notch. I cannot wait to try out the rooms on one of the gorgeous kits they have to play. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for quality gear.
Super friendly. Great selection. If they don’t have it they will do what they can to get it for you or help find the most similar product.
Great drum shop

Paul gave my son a great deal on a Martin guitar for his birthday. Fantastic store. Very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
I went in because of their ads and I like small family shops. Just walking in you feel welcome. I am an old beginner. They treated me as well as some of their regular “pros” that were hanging around the shop. They represent many brands, but their collection of Taylors and Martins is outstanding. They took a lot of time with me and helped me find what I really wanted without pressure. Whenever I’m in the neighborhood, I stop in. They have a beautiful comfortable “lounge” showroom. Great atmosphere.
The place is always my first choice whenever I need to go to a guitar workshop.
***EDIT***
So, I am knocking down my review from five stars to three; due to my most recent experience a couple months after the first one. So I reached backout to buy another guitar (place order) as I really wanted an AD22e or another model I can’t remember, but after confirming they could place the order I let them know that I wanted the AD22e and to provide me the full price so we could close the deal and they went silent, mind you I didn’t even get a copy of the receipt from my AD27e that never came which I had also requested from the last conversation.
I did finally get my guitar ordered but I had a national retailer place the order. I was disappointed I didn’t hear back from Tobias Music about completing the purchase and obtaining a copy of the receipt for my AD27e that never came.
** original **
Just bought an AD27e (Taylor) from them after finding it for sale online. it was a great buying experience. I’m a lefty, buying guitars online is the norm, and most of the time guitars I buy take a day or two to pack and ship. we had a few emails back and forth and they were quick to respond and very professional. These guys had it packed and shipped the same day, and I didn’t place my order until after lunch; that’s service.
They also took the time to dial the guitar in; it came with the action set and was tuned ready to play out of the box. Paul did a great job and really made this buying experience easy, and hassle free. I’ll have to check back often to see what other lefty guitar they get in. If I have the chance, I will buy from them again.
They are more of a acoustic guitar place not really a place for bass players .
