Ziggis coffee shop is my favorite in all locations!
Great staff, no problem
I order the same thing every time and the flavor is always consistent. Ziggi’s offers a comfortable place to hang out and have a chat as well. The best way to tell if a community is healthy is if the coffee shops outnumber the liquor stores.
Clean place, friendly staff, good coffee.
Great coffee and customer service.
So happy to see Ziggy’s in Wellington. Great coffee shop!
It would be SUPER GREAT if they paid attention to decaf orders.
Thanks guys. I don’t work at 5am or anything, so grateful for your lack of attention.
We ate breakfast but everything was pre-packaged. Could have gotten the same food Town Pump only lot cheaper!! I would not recommend!
I have absolutely nothing good to say about the store. Took over 5 minutes to place my order when I was the only one inside. The crew clearly wasn’t happy to be there and wouldn’t help me with my questions about the menu. After all was said and done my drink tasted awful once they took their time making it.
3. Owl Canyon Coffee
Address: 3745 Cleveland Ave, Wellington, CO 80549 , Wellington , Colorado , United States
I have never had a bad cup at Owl Canyon. Charming atmosphere. Good selection of sugar free syrups, with the SF coconut latte being my favorite. They currently have free refills of drip coffee after any coffee order. They also serve various breakfast items. Get a punch card and support this local gem!
This place is amazing. I’m currently moving cross country and needed some coffee. As a barista myself I am very picky about my coffee but this definitely is one of my top favorites. The barista working helped walk me through with her recommendations and talked to be about the differences, overall it was amazing. I highly highly recommend.
Stopped in to pick up some homemade pies that look AMAZING! Staff was very friendly, and the Americano and brewed coffees were both very good! Would come back for coffee anytime!
Love this shop! The staff is really nice, and I can walk to it from my house. Plus they have fun drinks like pumpkin cream cold brew. Would love it if they played some music though to add to the ambiance.
Coffee is average, but the hospitality is above average. If you really need a cup of coffee it is fine but I would probably go to the nearby Ziggis Coffee. It is a chain so if you want to support local business you should probably go to owl canyon.
Good coffee
Stopped in for a frozen mocha and Italian soda. Very nice people, they mentioned that there’s new owners. The mocha drink only had one shot but it was way too much coffee vs mocha. I couldn’t drink it because it tasted like frozen coffee. My husband had an Italian soda. It was ok but it needed more flavor. It was pretty bland. Hopefully they perfect their drinks a bit better! I’d stop by again because the atmosphere and people were very welcoming!
Support local business. Everyone in town has raved about this place. So this morning I decided to skip the Human Bean(my go to coffee shop) and support my local business. I waited until I got back into Wellington to get m morning coffee. I had high hopes… However I was severely disappointed. I was over charged for my medium blended latte with hazelnut, and then go to drink it and discover there was no hazelnut flavor added even though I was charged extra for the flavor add in. Now I have a $7 coffee that I can’t even drink.
Not much to choose from
4. McDonald’s
Address: 8120 6th St, Wellington, CO 80549 , Wellington , Colorado , United States
A mi me gusta mucho los mocha frape y estan muy ricos
Fast , friendly and GOOD food !!
Hands down best experience I’ve had at a McDonald’s. They are extremely short staffed but the staff was friendly and the food couldn’t have been fresher! The gentleman behind the counter was so professional and very mature for his age.
Ordered custom happy meals and they made these perfectly!
This McDonald’s most often is slow to get food out. On many occasions I’ve had to wait quite a while in the restaurant or pull ahead in the drive through as they make the effort to prepare the food I’ve ordered. It’s clean overall and not a bad place to eat, it’s just that the wait frequently happens to be longer than I expect from a fast food restaurant.
They didn’t put the salt on my fries, they just put extra salt in the bag but McDonald’s is just that I suppose.
Our mcdonalds employees are great. Awesome big mac but you forgot the extra cheese!
Was not served. Many behind counter with masks down.
I just passed it. No way do I go here.
We did a mobile order and selected to pickup inside. My husband waited over 20 minutes for our food and couldn’t get any staff to come to the front to make sure the order was received. Very poor customer service.
5. Bomgaars
Address: 4104 Jefferson Ave, Wellington, CO 80549 , Wellington , Colorado , United States
1st time there I went down almost every aisle. Some items better selection than either of the big box home improvements stores.
I went in with a list of random items. I have a bad knee and walk with a cane. Kristi and Sage were more than helpful leading me to all the items I was looking for. They even held my stuff and took them to the checkout for me. They saved me a lot of time and frustration. I am truly thankful!
Such a fun place to shop!
Friendly store help. Whatever you need and cannot find, someone is always ready to help. It was so very nice to stop in and see the wide selection and do business in a small town setting. Samantha was busy and yet she took the time. I don’t live near this store and purchased only a gift card, but she was happy to help.
This store is full of products and helpful staff!
I was kinda disappointed this last time I was there. They were out of some of the items I was looking for. Not their fault, just it is what it is. The people working there are nice and helpful.
No help got new boots thanks.
It is very unfortunate that my local hardware store is full of people that have no respect for anyone around them. I saw more people without face coverings here than I expected! Many of the employees had their mask off while talking to customers! Sad to say I will not be returning to this hardware store.
Not a friendly place. The employees were not very pleasant. I left without purchasing anything.
6. Avuncular Bob’s T-Bar Inn
Address: 3803 W Cleveland Ave, Wellington, CO 80549 , Wellington , Colorado , United States
This place supports anti trafficking and gas great services
Wonderful small town nail spa. They do beautiful work. Everyone there is fantastic!!
Love this little place- easy online scheduling, affordable prices, friendly staff, guarantee their gel manicures for two weeks, and lots of colors to choose from– Lucky to have this little gem in Wellington!
Jahilene, is the best, I’ve have her do my nails and feet!
Loved the experience but my gel manicure didn’t even last a week before three nails are chipped. I am just disappointed.
A great little nail place.
WILL NEVER go back to this salon. I was visiting in CO, made an appt for this salon. Got there and they had no record of it. So they rescheduled me for 2 days later. The girl who did my nails was very nice, BUT I had 2 nails pop off the next day. I tried to contact them but they never replied. I would have gone back in, but I was heading back to IL
Very, very disappointed. She was done in 13 minutes and $35 later. Will never go back.
I live in Wellington and when this shop opened I thought how wonderful I won’t have to drive to Fort Collins to get my nails done. I have gotten my nails done there 4 times and only 1 time I was happy with the result. I thought I would give them another chance today, well I shouldn’t have because it took the girl 2 hours to do a refill for me and paint my nails. She didn’t even file them even and they are lumpy looking. And then they charged me 43.00 for the fill. Sorry but for 2 hours I should have walked out of there feeling like a princess instead I’m going to have to go and get them fixed at another salon. I will never go back.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Great selection of nice guitars. Free service after the sale.
I just purchased a 2021 Fender American Professional II Telecaster from Spotlight. The transaction was done online, as I reside in Texas. I’ve been playing, buying, selling, trading, and collecting fine guitars for almost fifteen years and in that time, never have I experienced a more streamlined transaction. The guitar was shipped via FedEx and made the 1,900 mile journey into my hands in just three days. I’d provided my personal spec’s to have the shop’s guitar tech set it up for my preferences. The action is perfect and the guitar is intonated on up the fingerboard. Plays beautifully, throughout.
I’ve acquired many guitars online, but no matter how many times I do it, there’s always a bit of trepidation in buying and having something as potentially fragile as a guitar shipped long distances by ground. Spotlight made the process as painless as is possible. The guitar was well packaged to survive the trip and when I opened the box and pulled the guitar from its case, I couldn’t find a single fingerprint on it. Other than to tune it, this guitar had not been played at all. It had only just come out of its box to be set-up and polished, and was then placed back in the box for shipping.
I wish to thank any and all individuals at this shop for making my buying experience such a positive one.
Spotlight Music is much better than Guitar Center. They take the time to get to know everyone that comes through the door, and the time put into every order really shows. I’ve been going to Spotlight for over 10 years and they are yet to let me down. If you’re in Fort Collins, go here!
The atmosphere is friendly, and this is clearly not a corporate chain establishment. Unfortunately, they no longer carry Taylor guitars.
.
nice selection of guitars and equipment ,and associated equipment … of string’s piks & suff!
I’ve got a Breedlove Stage Pursuit, 7 years old, played nearly an hour every day. Prob needs some setup by July 1 for getting back on-platform at Timberline Church. Do you have a tech available (a number of guitar stores – including Guitar Center – say they don’t have one anymore) who could do the work? Would love not to have to drive up to Cheyenne or down to Denver. Thanks.
Called to ask about violin lessons for my 8 year old. They gave me the number to their teacher. Said she would return my call within a couple days. 8 days later I got a call and set up a lesson. I arrived at the lesson with my very excited 8 year old 10 minutes early. Katie (the teacher). NEVER showed up. We walked away with a very sad 8 year old and a PISSED mom. NEVER will I shop or recommend this store. Awful experience!!!!!!
Flea markets have better warranty support
Cable companies have better customer service
Any Questions?
It was the worst customer service. All I needed was my guitar tuned up. I was given a time quote for when the guitar would be finished. When I called to ask about the guitar after the time quoted, some one told me, it wasn’t done and it would be another 3-4 days. When I asked why I was told the original time frame, and what changed that a tune up would take 5 days instead of the 1-2 I was originally quoted, the response I got was, “Well, I don’t know what to tell you.” The customer service was deplorable. I decided to go pick it up with out the work being done. When I picked it up and made a comment about why couldn’t someone have figured out how to quote it correctly, or at least notify me when they realized it was going to be longer, the guy I spoke with at the shop was rude, and even suggested that the reason it wasn’t done was somehow my fault. So, not only did I have to go pick up a guitar after it was not worked on I was then told I was also my fault that the it never got worked on. After years of me having exclusively shopped at Spotlight. I will never ever return.- As a local business I expected that customer service mattered. The current employees don’t reflect any of those values that I assume the owner does, unless I’m wrong and the employees DO reflect the values of the owner….unfortunate.
9. Music Go Round
Address: 2925 S College Ave, Fort Collins, CO 80525 , Wellington , Colorado , United States
These guys rock! Knowledgeable, very easy to work with – a great place to “geek out”!!! Everyone there wants to help, and if they don’t know something, they’ll go out of their way to find you the answer. Rock On!!!
Cudos to Brandon for developing a great shop!
Excellent customer service, friendly and knowledgeable staff. In particular, Kyle and Shayla stand out for their customer service. I regularly go in with questions as I am attempting to learn how to do certain repairs on my own. Thru have both spent time helping me understand basic concepts. When I get backed into a corner they have been able to provide prompt, quality service. GREAT STAFF! Highly recommend
Helpful and well-informed staff. I went there with my old virtual amp (built-in effects, headphones only) and said I needed an upgrade. Paul listened attentively to what I had to say, then pointed me towards a Blackstar ID:Core Stereo 100. I had a lot of questions and he patiently answered them all. The amp is awesome and fun. It’s exactly what I was looking for. I am a very happy customer.
Nice service, but if it wasn’t clear enough yet it’s mostly just used gear and selling used gear, nothing else really.
I went in tonight around 6pm to pick up some bass strings. When I walked in, I asked for recommendations on bass strings, as I’ve only bought guitar strings before. The man working there didn’t even come fully out from behind the counter to assist me and made a rude comment when I jokingly asked “What strings does Geddy Lee use?” (The bass player from Rush.)
Honestly, it’s not about the bass strings, the inability to walk fully from behind the counter, or the rude comment and attitude. It’s the fact that I’m trying to support local businesses, and EVERY TIME I go to this store, I’m treated as if I’m an inconvenience.
At Guitar Center, I’m always treated with respect and courtesy. It’s making it really hard for me to want to keep supporting this business when I know that I’ll be treated better somewhere else. A small dose of customer service goes a long way.
If they pretended they were happy to see me just once, it would make a difference. I wear the store’s t-shirt, for crying out loud.
Good deals and knowledgeable staff .
Do not sale or buy equipment from these crooks. I came down from Wyoming to sell my speakers which they said on the phone they would make an offer. They offered $5 for my speakers which sell for $400 new a piece. When I said that $5 wasn’t a real offer I was cussed out so I left and ended up buying a guitar at Guitar Center instead of one of theirs. I have since sold my used gear online for way more than $5. These people insult your intelligence so they can rip you off for their benefit and cuss you out if you disagree with them.
Had good experiences in the past here both buying and selling but chose to offer me $200 for $1500 worth of bass gear. At least guitar center offered me 50% of the total worth. Avoid if you are selling. If you are buying check EVERYTHING over as much of the wind instrument stock has issues.
EDIT: Went back last week to trade another guitar. The salesperson claimed that the neck was twisted (so they of course couldn’t buy it) which was debunked later by a good luthier. I really want to like this store but they don’t employ honest people.
Mr. Brandon Barrios:
I went to Music Go Around today on purpose to give a local business my money rather than Amazon. I left right away, however, as your shopkeeper responded in an unfriendly manner that I was not wearing a mask. I explained that we are an asthmatic family and his ungenerous response was, “I’m an asthmatic, too, and I’m wearing a mask.” It is your prerogative to wear a mask and force your customers to do so, but it is also my prerogative to take my business where I’m not forced to wear a mask that hinders my breathing and does little to nothing to stop the bad flu called covid-19. You just lost the $500-$1000 I was prepared to spend.
10. Wellington Grill
Address: 3724 Cleveland Ave, Wellington, CO 80549 , Wellington , Colorado , United States
An awesome late night Oasis with open spaced outdoor seating. Our waitress wore a mask and made us feel comfortable with spacing etc. Nice spot and employees seemed focused and diligent. Kudos to a wonderful restaurant.
Good food. Nice people.
Great food, great service!
Good food, sit outside on the patio, service a bit slow
We were having a lovely visit until our waitress proved to be mentally imbalanced and started a fight. The Philly cheese steak was served very sloppy with the “steak” in its whole tablespoon portion was grey, cold and tasteless. The tricolor tiny peppers and mushrooms and uneven cheese torn bun and open faced presentation were lackluster.
We stopped for dinner yesterday at The Grill. As we step in Sign said Please wait to be seated. We stood for about 10 minutes with no acknowledgment from waitress so we left. She was very rude that’s why there were plenty of empty tables. We don’t recommend this place.
I’ve been coming here for years, the food is always great but the service is getting worse and worse. Came here on 9.24.22, Saturday in the afternoon for lunch. Got seated and waited 10 minutes for our server. We ordered drinks and food, 15 minutes later our drinks came. Noticed everybody was waiting for their food in the restaurant. Serve told us the kitchen is backed up, their excuses every time… I love this place to death but this will be the last time I come here, this is un excusable.
11. Boomer Music Company
Address: 3761 S Mason St, Fort Collins, CO 80525 , Wellington , Colorado , United States
Helped us pick up an Alto Sax. They are always helpful each time we go in.
Always helpful
I took my flute in for a complete re-pad (Straubinger pads), clean, and adjust, and Angela did a fabulous job! Very reasonably priced too. My 25 year old flute looks and plays like new.
Very helpful, with lots of product options.
Had everything we needed for my daughters first year in orchestra.
Knowledge staff and good school rental program
I wouldn’t get a gift certificate for anyone from this place… My husband tried to use his after just a few years and they wouldn’t honor it!! It makes it hard to support locally when things like this happen.
Products are heavily marked up, sometimes even twice as much as they should be selling for. Several years ago I purchased a Hercules stand for my instrument and it cost $52. I checked online a couple months later for the same product and it was only $30 on Amazon or through Guitar Center. The only thing decently priced is reeds. Shop elsewhere for music, products, and even instrument care.
Repair shop is okay for emergency repairs, but nothing more than that. The pads they use are really cheap and the quality of the repairs is sub par. They put a pad that was too large on my instrument, causing a hum, so I had to bring the instrument back in. Take your instrument to a well-established technician who will do it right and outlast the so-called repairs they perform here, saving you money in the long run.
We made an appointment to get our bari sax looked at and to get it repaired and drove 3.5 hours to the store when we got there we were told oh no we have to put it in a bag and let it set in our store 5 days then we can look at it and decide if we can fix it or not. that was never told to us on the phone before we made the drive. the person was a total jerk and could careless about or sax I would never recomend using boomer music for any work they just dont understand the meaning of customer service
