Great place, very kind and knowledgeable staff…they gave me the best suggestions as per my needs and totally impressed with the guitar that I bought from here..
Very nice store with friendly customer service!
You could pretty much build a guitar out of the stock they carry. Why can’t all music stores be like this?
It ok
Not a huge guitar shop but the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, atmosphere was great light and humourous loved it got what I needed played some guitars and left with good memories
Nice people. I have gotten some good deals here
I had a very unpleasant experince with this place. My daughter’s saxophone needed to be fixed, so I took it to this store. Well almost 7 weeks passed and they never called me. When I called them to see if it was ready, they said it was ready. I went to pick it up just to learn that it was not fixed. They were very unpolite the whole time. They said it was fixed when I knew it wasn’t and there was no receipt/details of the work they “did” to it. So they game me a number to call. So I called the number, which is the place who they work with to fix the instruments in Fayatteville. They said they had no record of our instrument. So basically they never sent my daughters saxophone to them and they never called me to let me know what was going on. I understand sometimes things happen, but they basically never accepted they made a mistake. I was very polite with them, eventhough I was not happy about this whole situation. I will not be going to this place again, or reccomend it to anybody. And by the way, one of the owners, who has blonde/reddish hair, is one of the most inpolite person I ever met. We’ve been going to this place for years and if he is there, we know it’s not going to be good. He is rude and has poor customer service skills.
I thought I would take a chance on them, and bought an AllParts p90 spacer kit. Simple enough, most p90’s dogear covers are the same or very close. The All Parts one is WAY too big for Gibson, Epi, Lindy Fralin, and most dogear p90’s. Had they adequately given the measurements on their ad I would have bought elsewhere. They will refund, but with a %15 restocking fee because I opened it to see if I could make do with it, but it is almost 1/4″ too wide and 1/8 too long. What a waste of time. I went to a nearby autoparts store and bought a set of gasket materials and cut out my own in 15 minutes. Don’t buy the ALL PARTS p90 spacer kit. Or any of the others for that matter get a gasket kit and cut your own for $11, any height you want.
Helloooo arkansasmusicworks,
helloooo Mrs. Christina Baker,
My name is Ümit Özkalender and I ordered on 02/23/2017 via ebay.de (germany) 3 Dimarzio Steve Vai Guitar straps. After my shippment is not arrived, I wrote an email to you. NO ANSWER! Then I get in touch with ebay custom care. They told me, not to open a case! They get in touch with you! 30 days later after purchase and payment with PayPal, they told me that a case was not opend and my money was gone! PayPal do the same, what those useless, zero function ebay custom care do! Then I wrote you a couple of emails. NO ANSWER! No Shippment tracking! No replacement! No refund! NOTHING !!!
Soo, my 1st question is. Are you a serious company? And if you a serious company. Do you have any idea what custom care is? Grab the money and out of sight, out of mind?
And, my 2nd question. I want the guitar straps! Does that mean, I must pay one more time and hope it will be delivered! This time! Maybe?
Hope you have an good answer!
Regards
I’ve got no shippment and I was not refunded! That’s a fact! Don’t matter if it’s one or two years ago!

Reviews
I was in the process of buying a guitar from lane and then saw the Google reviews which I was very alarmed by. I talked to lane and looked into it. The people who left the reviews are a group of girls in NY who never bought a guitar in their life. If you want the real reviews go to his business website or Facebook page.
I would give this place zero stars if I could. Lane is truly scum of the earth. Abuser is an understatement.
just called to ask about acoustics and he talked to me like i was completely incompetent. so disrespectful
you should never buy from this store or lane. he is a horrible person and lies about every product he sells. every thing i bought was broken and he refused to refund me.
3. Renown Music
Address: 104 W F Ave, North Little Rock, AR 72116 , Zărand , Arkansas , United States
I cannot endorse Brandon Toney and his company, Renown Music, enough. Brandon has provide exceptional guitar service including structural repairs, cosmetic repairs, setting of action and intonation, fretwork, and pickup replacements for all of my guitars. I trust Renown Music completely for my luthier and repair work as well as have my two kids in music lessons. We are lucky to have such a trained and accomplished luthier right here in North Little Rock.
Great place for guitar repair. Jay Scott has been working on my gear for years. Excellent job my resonator. Thanks Buddy
Great people who will happily take care of you and your music needs! I highly recommend coming to this music store to get some great service!
4. Quattlebaum Music Center
Address: 101 W Arch Ave, Searcy, AR 72143 , Zărand , Arkansas , United States
Small, quiet, local run music store. Good prices and owned by a knowledgeable friendly man who is happy to answer your questions. I’ll definitely be returning.
Decent selection for a smaller store. Good prices! I’ve bought and rented equipment from them for years. Friendly service!!
Went there today. He has some great deals and he does layaway 6 month layaway if needed
I’ve purchased things from here before, but today, I felt as though my business was not wanted. I took a violin in due to having issues tuning it and the bridge popping off. Was told what I need to do. Told them thank you and asked my daughter if she wanted to look around. Was told to have a nice day. Was not asked if I needed help with anything else. Employee just walked away
They are selling stolen property.
Very rude to my wife and all she did was ask a queston please don’t do business with these people we don’t need rude people in this town.
5. The Musician’s Exchange
Address: 2221 Alma Hwy, Van Buren, AR 72956 , Zărand , Arkansas , United States
Love the musicians exchange. They always have what I need and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful.
Always great
This is one of only a handful of places in the River Valley you can buy instruments and accessories from. It’s a place I can drop in quickly for new strings or sticks. They offer some set-up/repair services from entry to intermediate difficulty. Keep to the kids close (or at the house), as various instruments and/or parts are laying around in some areas of the sales floor, making for somewhat treacherous terrain and unclear pricing. Staff are generally friendly and helpful, though you may have to approach them directly for help. I prefer this myself. Glad they’re here.
Interesting selection of mostly used gear. Friendly folks!
It’s guitars what’s not to love. Good folks here.
Hate it I could not find a clarinet ,:(
Unfriendly staff
Bought a brand new acoustic guitar here after years of using this store for my musical needs. The guitar wasnt staying in tune and i noticed the intonation was a little off as well. I took it back 4 days later and they offered me 100 bucks for it. It was brand new and i spend 400 on it and bought a 150 dollar case as well. Thats not the way you treat repeat customers. I will never be returning to this store again.
6. Clarinda’s Crafts & Music
Address: 3 Trina Loop, Greenbrier, AR 72058 , Zărand , Arkansas , United States
I had been eyeing Clarinda’s websites and instruments for quite a while, about two years. I went to the west coast for a technical program for 9 months, and saw one for sale in the local ads even up there. Since I apparently could never escape, I had to commission something.
If you’re used to playing on cheap, starter mandolins from factories, know that a lot of them are overbuilt out of thick plywood for the top. They tend to be more plonky, less ring, less resonance overall. A lot of them are also not set up very well, which makes your job of learning the instrument even harder.
Do yourself a favor; spend a bit more and get something that will not just sound great, but play easy. I commissioned an F-style oval hole mandola, pitched below a mandolin. Love it. Highly reccommended.
How can you not have fun at a place like this.
Not only am I very pleased with my choice of a handmade Mia A7 mandolin, but also, my instructor just told me that we are both getting better; my playing AND my mandolin! Every time we met for first few of the seven weeks I have had it, he congratulated me on my purchase.
You won’t go wrong choosing a Clarinda-built instrument or one from the lines she carries.
7. Saied Music Co
Address: 2880 Point Cir, Fayetteville, AR 72704 , Zărand , Arkansas , United States
I’m always greeted by a super friendly staff; they’ll even get on a first name basis with their repeat customers. They carry a pretty wide selection of sheet music for piano, strings, and horns. Also they have a repair shop within their store called independent music repair. If they don’t have it or can’t fix it, like my bass guitar for example, they will send you in the right direction. This is an around lovely store. After ten years of patronage, I haven’t had a single issue. Keep it up y’all!
Very knowledgeable and helpful!
Friendly staff.
I don’t have much for you compared the store to so I can’t say I’d give it five stars but why not four. It was just a quick and easy trip where I was looking for a cowbell and wasn’t a hundred percent what to look for. There was a guy there who helped me I forget his name but he didn’t hesitate and I got what I needed.
Always very helpful. Some hard to find items too.
Everyone is easy to talk to and friendly. They carry a wide assortment of musical equipment. Typically geared for the student musician.
Awful service. Bought strings for my guitar, and since im not very good at putting them on and they were the most expensive strings, i left my guitar for them to put the strings on for me bc they said theyd do it for free and that they would call me within a day or so. I waoted almsot a week and figured that i must have missed the call and went there to get my guitar. They hadnt even touched it and told me that it would be several more days before they could get to it. I just went ahead and took my guitar. Never getting my business again im just gonna go to guitar center.
Do not let them store your debit card on file. I have an unauthorized charge on my account. ONLY PAY THEM THROUGH THE WEBSITE, NOT OVER THE PHONE.
Pretty great selection of instruments, however I felt extremely awkward with the staff and felt like my questions were intrusions. You could chalk this up to me just being anxious, but I would have much more appreciated an employee who could recommend stuff to me, and willing to help me find what I’m looking for. I’ll be going to A different shop to get what I need
This is the best store ever !!! Everyone is so nice and helpful, I LOVE this store!!!!!! My daughter bought me a Fender Guitar here and a Peavey Amp and they went out of their way to help me!!! I will be a lifelong customer!!!
Guy who owns/runs it is really friendly and cool. a better place to buy than Guitar Center
Good store, good people. Stop in and pick up something on your music journey.
Nice enough folks. The store seens really bare compared to what it was like 2 years ago..
just went by there to by my sons xmas. There phone was disconnected and they werent open ehen we got there.
9. Remix Music
Address: 3855 Elm Springs Rd, Springdale, AR 72762 , Zărand , Arkansas , United States
Good dudes, personable and knowledgeable…..good selection of new and used equipment
Knowledgeable people. Professional services.
Ron and Andy are always a big help. They both have a passion for music and want to help you achieve. Remix has been my go to shop for years. They have the best selection of guitars and will treat you like family.
We bought a guitar here for our son a couple weeks back. One guy was way too salesy and talked too much but I like supporting local so we bought one.
Firstly, this shop provides great service on guitars, setups and string changes. But beware of purchasing a guitar that is not currently hanging on their shelf. For example, the Fender American Professional II Strat, comes in 9 different colors. If you want a color that isn’t hanging on their wall, they will offer to get it for you, but it will be considered a “special order” and not eligible to be returned. This is an odd policy since they are an authorized Fender dealer. If you order the guitar direct from Fender, or Sweetwater, or any other online retailer, the guitar is eligible for return no questions asked. So essentially, trying to support a small shop will eliminate any guarantees offered by the manufacturer. Understand, I realize a small shop has limitations and must do what’s best for their bottom line. However, it was never communicated to me “hey if I order this guitar for you, it’s unreturnable.” The thought never crossed my mind to ask, since the item I ordered was a stock offering from Fender, nothing special or custom about it. It’s extremely surprising that a Fender dealer is not able to provide the same customer satisfaction policies that are in place by Fender themselves. Most of the guitars hanging on the walls are mid-tier or entry level guitars, so if you want something better, and you want the peace of mind to return it if you’re not happy with it, then I suggest looking elsewhere. If you need a great setup on your guitar, ReMix can do it.
Friendly’s staff knows equipment.
Went in looking for DJing equipment to start a new hobby. Got laughed at and was told this store is for real musicians. Went in thinking I could get advice and assistance on starting up a new hobby and instead got pushed out with no tips or advice to start this hobby. Defiantly taking my business elsewhere.
Paid Remix $135.00 to put a new but bad Fender neck on my guitar. I Sent the bad neck back to Fender. They said it was warped on the 10th fret. Fender replaced the neck. Now Remix tech want’s me to pay again to install new neck. He knew the first neck was bad when he worked on it. My opinion is not good for Remixes Fender tech. The advise their tech Andy gave me, was to find someone else to install the neck.
This is not the kind of attitude one would expect from anyone representing a company as reputable as Fender.
I’ve played Fender Telecasters for 50 years. Had a lot of them worked on.
Never have I been treated as as poorly or rudely as I was at Remix Music. I’m sorry to have to leave this less than favorable post. But this is the way it happened.
Didn’t like the guy’s attitude or the prices. I probably won’t be back.
10. Arkansas School Band Services Inc
Address: 1023 S Arkansas Ave, Russellville, AR 72801 , Zărand , Arkansas , United States
I just moved to Conway, and needed my Martin guitar worked on. A friend who has used Palmers before, recommended I use them. I took my Martin acoustic in because the plug in jack would cut in and out! Ryan took it apart, cleaned the jack with contact cleaner, put it back together and it worked perfectly. The good news is, he did not charge me one penny! Now folks, that is service, and I will be back!
Awesome music store!
I had an absolutely wonderful experience buying guitars for my grandsons for Christmas. Daniel was extremely helpful!
Talked to Joey in the store today. He took some time to help me plan for an upcoming purchase for our church. They have a large selection of all kinds of musical instruments and they do lessons, as well. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Highly recommended! Thanks, Joey!
I was looking at electric guitars and they didn’t offer to let me plug any of them in. How are you truly going to know if you like one or not if you can’t hear the sound.
Usually busy because they’re good at what they do!
Go to GUITAR CENTER instead (you can actually have FUN there).
Went in expecting to buy a new guitar on 01/26/2023. The man behind the counter was very unfriendly & unhelpful.
I found one I wanted to buy but I just didn’t really want to give my money to a person who didn’t know how to smile.
Another employee walked by and was even more emotionless than the other guy. I left feeling very unwelcome.
I will not be back.
16. High Note Band Instrument Repair
Address: 211 N Pruett St, Paragould, AR 72450 , Zărand , Arkansas , United States
I stopped in there for the 1st time and spoke to Brian and he helped me with buying an Amp for my Guitar. Very good Price and the Customer Service was Great!
great
Best store in town
Great people, a very old store
I went into to buy a guitar. Very small selection
Lots of sheet music and DVDs but it is all on the computer today. Wonderful people. I wish them well!
My visit was to test the integrity of an electric guitar I had. Spoke to the guy behind the counter. (The one with the gray streaked goatee). Told him I was preparing to sell it via Facebook, and all I want to do is see if it sounds as it should. He said it was ok I was like great thanks. The buyer was from outta town and was shopping for guitar supplies. She had just bought amp still needed a cord possibly more. Asked her to meet up there since she was just down the road. She wanted to go in do to the rain. Instantly he started ranting that he’s a business man a professional and I was shady for what I had done. I was very polite. My reply ( I’m sorry I brought you a customer sure she meet up with me to buy a guitar for cheap but she still may need something) she was there for his childish act. ( she replied I do need a cord) He didn’t even bother to respond to her. He looks at me says someone smells bad like cigarettes… Wow 0 stars for your sir. Where’s your public relations at. Your welcome for that sell.
19. Record Rack
Address: 2801 S Olive St, Pine Bluff, AR 71603 , Zărand , Arkansas , United States
Loveee this store!!! I visit very often with my husband and we both really enjoy the owner because he is super chill and laid back very nice and very helpful for any questions we have! If I lived closer I would probably be there daily or try and work there!! Lol!
Should be a record rack in every city
I’ll never forget my time working there. The owner Pat, should get more recognition for keeping a business like this going for as long as he’s done Especially since the internet makes things easier to get. I know A LOT of people enjoyed getting music earlier than the release date. The musical history in the store is nothing short of amazing. Always loved the extra mile that Pat would go to get you the music you were looking for (As long as it was available somewhere.)
This store is a staple of our city.
I’m so glad they sales ticket, for the major attractions.
Love this place. If u love good music and want the original cds n not the edited versions then this is the place to go. Also the only place like that in Pine Bluff.
Good
It not all the names says. You would think they would have more records then anything else. And this is not a store to bring kids in to.
20. Randy Soller Guitar Studio
Address: 31 E Center St #200I, Fayetteville, AR 72701 , Zărand , Arkansas , United States
I wanted to learn how to play an instrument and I went for a guitar. I found Randy and I’m glad that I found him. He’s the only guitar teacher I’ve tried and I won’t be needing to try other guitarists because I found everything I need to learn from him. He’s very nice and has aloooot of patience. He started with me from scratch and after almost two years I can see big progress within myself. Each time I go to him I notice improvement every single week. He’s very knowledgeable and I like his confidence while he’s teaching. Now I own two guitars and always reaching for my guitar to play some music.
Great location, great price, and a great person overall. I highly recommend Randy.
Randy is very knowledgeable on guitar. He secretly incorporates music theory while you are learning a new song. It actually makes music theory not that bad! I would highly recommend to any guitar player whether you are beginner or advanced.
One of my retirement projects was taking guitar lessons. I said I was doing it for my brain. What I didn’t expect was how much fun it would be.
Whether you’re beginner, intermediate, or advanced, Randy Soller will take you forward on guitar, bass, or even ukulele. I began guitar lessons with Randy in June of 2020 using Facetime. Lately, I’m hybrid, driving to Fayetteville about once a month and doing the other lessons online.
Randy’s a master teacher! I’ve been an educators for over 35 years and know good teaching when I see it. He’s a unique combination of patient, organized, and able to meet me where I am. He’s also an amazing player and has a music degree in guitar from the U of A.
I like that he lets students select music they enjoy rather than following a prescribed list of his favorites. To top it off, he’s a nice guy!
